Gorgeous wine restaurant tucked away on the busy 7th st. Nicely decorated, amazing wine selection and delicious pizza. It's a small intimate restaurant and the seating is nicely spaced. The pizzas are large enough to share. I had the mushroom and it was tasty. Will surely come back. Only issue is parking. The restaurant is located in a busy area so parking can be tricky.
The inside of this place is so cute! The pizza was really good and we ordered a wine flight. We didn't enjoy the wine flight too much but to be fair we prefer sweeter wines and they were definitely more on the dry side. The presentation of it was nice though!

Nice upscale spot for a pleasant dinner with friends. I came here after my first day on the new job to celebrate and catch up with my best friends who now are only a mile away from me and it's the best! We were debating between this and Mexican, so next time we will try Puerta next door. But I am happy that we ended up here this time around. We sat outside even though there was the potential for the odor from the dumpster nearby to waft over. Luckily that did not happen- the breeze was light! Our server was friendly and attentive. I only had water but my friend had club soda and a red wine. For our mains, I got the sausage and pepper pizza and my friends shared a Caesar salad and classic pepperoni pizza. I much prefer thinner crusts like these so I enjoyed my pizza. We traded slices which was nice! It's a little pricier but you get great service and quality food. I would definitely come back to try some other dishes, as well as a wine flight next time! @azfitfoodfun

What I love most about this place is the ambience and aesthetic, I remember the first time we came we met the owner and he told us all about how the photos on the walls are actually their own from their travels, and that's what created the vision of "Flight". The drinks are amazing here to say the least and service is fast + everyone is so friendly! This is a great spot to come for a quick drink too & a small bite.
This place is cute! The decor gives an elegant feel. We came here for a birthday dinner and I'm glad bc I had been wanting to check them out. Parking is horrible! This plaza has limited parking, shared with other businesses and fills up real quick! The parking garage is $5 per 30 min. You cannot park in the lot across the street or you will get towed. Ok now for the real deal. I ordered the Rio flight (I think that's what it was called). Came with a white, still rosé, and 2 reds. All from the same brand, and from Spain. They were good! It was $30. They also have white and red flights. For the food, I ordered the fried artichoke. It comes detached, small pieces topped with tomatoes, dill, and a sauce. It was ok. The flavor of the artichoke could have been better. Without the toppings it would have been bland. $14. The serving size wasn't price. I also ordered the short-rib pizza. It was bigger than I had anticipated. Definitely could be shared amongst 3-4 people. It was flavorful, the short-rib was perfectly cooked and blended well. I got mine without the red onion. It was $26. The birthday girl ordered the steak & frites. The plate was the same size as our appetizer plates. It looked like she had ordered a skewer. The fries were the thinnest shoestring french fries I have ever seen. I told her she was better off ordering that from across the street at Catalina Kitchen & Bar. The size alone definitely didn't justify the $32 price. And they only cook it 2 ways, rare or medium. They will not cook it how you want it. I'd come back for flights or solo glasses of wine and would share a pizza.
I just had thee most amazing time here which is quite impressive as I ventured our solo this Sunday evening. Zach was an amazing bartender...knowledgeable aaand skilled is rare to find these days. He made my drinks (classic Manhattan and Side Car) with absolute perfection. The music was soft and vibey yet impactful. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the tunes of Lauren Hill!! I expressed to Nelson, whom I believe may have been a bar back, that the music was very enjoyable and that I was pleasantly surprised! Ciara and Nelson joined in with me on the appreciation and both provided superb service as I enjoyed my short rib pizza. This is thee place to check out if you are solo and just want a nice night out. The space is made for couples and families but they have a special and Welcoming place for individuals as well

The food is excellent; everything is well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. The service is so friendly and attentive, the ambience feels quaint and inviting and very accommodating. I never thought this combination would work, but the Pig & Fig pizza really hits the spot, surprisingly well balanced and delicious even with the spicy honey on the side. Highly recommend giving this spot a try.
Very cute establishment, clean bathrooms, and moody lighting. Wine is amazing, well priced for what you get. I had the French flight, a group of amazing reds. We got the focaccia, bread was cooked well and had a nice crisp. It was served with a tomato/marinara that kind of fell flat but was a decent compliment to the focaccia. We tried to order meatballs and they were already sold out by 7 pm. We ordered a three cheese pizza and the pig and fig, centers of the both pizzas were not cooked all the way. Flavors were okay, I could have got this same pizza somewhere else for a 3rd of the price. Pizza is 1/3 of their menu so you would think the pie would come cooked better. Overall fine, but there are other spots I'd recommend for food. Service was good. We had two servers, I think the first woman's name was Elizabeth. She was so nice, knowledgeable and chatty in a good way. (: we really enjoyed her service. When it came time to go she said another server would take care of us. He never came, admitted he forgot and we had to flag him down. Still nice though. If I were to recommend this place it would be for a glass of wine on 1/2 price Tuesday and maybe an app before going over to Puerta or the crunkleton to eat.
This place is a must-visit for any wine lovers! Their flight style of wine with a tiered tower makes it possible for you to have 4 different wines without the table being cluttered by glasses! They also swiftly took them away when you're finished, top notch service! The pizzas were to die for, you'll have leftovers so I'd recommend splitting one between two people, but I'm not going to lie, having leftovers from here is SO worth it. But make sure you save room for dessert because the oven baked cookie was delicious, highly recommend and I'll definitely be back here.
My friend and I booked a reservation to come while the weather was good and sit on the porch outside in the evening, talk about vibes. It was very cute, I love the atmosphere on a cool summer night was very enjoyable. The servers were very helpful with any questions about the menu and the wine selections. All flights are as is. No changes - wines that were included were tasty and they served a good amount. The food was yummy - get the carrots ! I wish the red sauce on the pizza and meatballs had a little more depth but everything we had was tasty. Will come back and try some more items on the menu & possibly sit inside
Amazing first experience at Flight! The vibe is upscale but not stuffy and we were all very comfortable there. I didn't have the chance to take pictures of the food but here's what we got: - the ricotta: must get! - the sweet potato hummus with homemade naan: wowwwww absolutely incredible - broccolini: so good - lamb lollipops: cooked perfectly and general flavor was great but a little salty for us - chefs pork belly: delish and the brussel sprouts with it were amazing - Salsiccia pizza: oh so good. Must get! - skillet chocolate chip cookie with vanilla icecream: perfect way to end the dinner - they recommended great wines and we ended up with two bottles of this one as it was perfect We sat inside but they had lovely outdoor seating which will be nice as it gets warmer. Parking: there is minimal parking right in front of Flight but there is also street parking as well as a parking deck right across the street
I've been wanting to try this spot in the neighborhood that opened last year. The place itself is super cozy, with modern and rustic vibes. They have seating for small groups, or even larger groups. We went with 4 people and ended up sharing a handful of appetizers and pizza. Highly recommend the whipped ricotta and meatballs. I also got an espresso martini which was so tasty. I'll definitely get that again. As for the pizza--absolutely delicious! The crust was crispy, the toppings were fresh, and it had just the right amount of flavor. All of the pizzas sounded good, and I can't wait to go back and try other kinds. Flight is perfect for a date night, a group hang, or even just a casual outing with friends. Highly recommend!

Flight is a very enjoyable place to enjoy drinks with close friends or to have a date night. It is on the smaller side but this adds to the intimate vibe that goes along with the beautiful lounge aesthetic inside. Outside are tables gathered under hanging lights from the pergola, it makes you feel like you're in a friends back yard. The name "Gathering Place" feels appropriate as this seems like the perfect place for small groups to get together and catch up over some wine and delicious food. Last time I came in we all got to try some wine flights and they are well thought out and curated. Historic Elizabeth is a charming neighborhood so it feels right that they have a plethora of charming restaurants and watering holes, and Flight fits in perfectly. read more

Went to Flight for a birthday dinner and everything we got was really good! Definitely would recommend the Pig and Fig pizza and the Focaccia, Caprese and Meatball appetizers. Service was great as well. Great place to come for drinks and bites! read more

I cannot recommend flight enough! I went here for the first time last night with some friends. Everything i had was AMAZING. The only problem per se was our waiter not really checking on us very often and forgetting to put in my friend's food after she had asked about it twice. The Spanish Caesar was cold the way i like it and flavorful. As a person that orders a Caesar salad everywhere i go this one was done just right. The pizza was hot, fresh and juicy goodness. The focaccia was warm, crispy on the top and GOOD. I wish they had a different sauce with it but honestly no complaints eating it by itself. The place is very aesthetically pleasing, great for a girls night out or a date night. I will be back! read more

Love love love this place! The minute you walk in the decor is amazing and chic. Wasn't expecting that. I was expecting more of a brewery vibe. This is a really nice wine bar but they have a full bar too. They do flights, bottles, brews and cocktails. They have a great food menu too. We came to celebrate a birthday on a Sunday afternoon. Seating inside is great booths and tables and then the bar. They also have a room for rental for parties /showers. We got seated straight away without a reservation but we got there when it opened. Ordered a nice bottle of bubbly. For our birthday girl. Which was served in great coupe glasses . We ordered the ahi tuna au poivre large plate to share with, had some olives and roasted red peppers and chili oil and balsamic reduction. Tuna was peppercorn and coriander crusted and cooked beautifully. Nice thick steak type pieces. Loved this dish. Also shared the funghi pizza. Lively thin crust and cheesy and lots of different mushrooms. Yum. They gave us in the house a nice skillet cookie with ice cream for the birthday girl. Which was really nice. Served hot and with ice cream this went down well! Service was amazing and I just really loved the vibe. Great bar without being too loud. Great food and drinks! Really great staff too. Plus in charlotte to find free parking was awesome ! This place has a parking lot! I can't wait to go back to Flight! ! read more

The latest addition to the one of the best epicurean corners to ever do it--with Crunkleton, Rosemont, Puerta, Cantina, & others all within a stone's throw of each other--Flight is definitely a place worth gathering! Pretty art deco decor. Respectable array of wine, craft cocktails, & small bites. Excellent service. In alignment with the Olympic season that they opened within, Flight serves 10s across the board. Pro Tip: Get the surprisingly spirit-forward Espresso Martini. It's called "The Daily Ritual" & I think I understand why. read more

What a great place . The wait staff (Steven) and management (Kerrin, Rob and Kayte) all top notch .amd such lovely people people The owners Vicky and Dwight make you feel you are sitting in their home and are very welcoming. I love all the decor and comfy tables and booths. For drink starters i had the hibiscus gin sour and raspberry leo spritz.. yummy and refreshing.. had the grandma slice appetizer , which was their homemade foccia bread with homemade sauce and cheese . Whats not to love?? . I also had the fig and pig pizza which was very good and with a crispy crust. My hubs had the meatballs and the funghi pizza , both were equally delish ! Stopped by Flight on a Thursday night without a reservation and was seated right away. Cozy space with a solid bar and great wine/cocktail options. Service was super attentive. The lamb chops had great flavor but were a bit tough. Loved the short rib pizza, so flavorful. The cookie skillet was warm, soft, and came out fast. Overall, a great spot! read more
