A delicious addition to the italian restaurant scene in Charlotte. The Calabrian chili pappardelle is perfectly al dente with a building heat from the chilis that complements the rich beef. While only the ricotta zeppoles are pictured, high praise is due to their brunch menu from what I've tried. Particularly, the ricotta pancakes (lemony and fluffy with delicious fruit compote) and the breakfast potato's. Would not recommend the kale salad (in dire need of the kale being massaged before serving), and the tuna crudo was lacking texture and acid.
We came here for a friend's birthday. A gorgeous upscale north Italian restaurant in the heart of Noda. Wonderful decor, great lighting, and an inviting atmosphere make you feel your dining somewhere special. We began with some beautiful red wine and a focaccia with the olive oil flight and their homemade ricotta. Everything was absolutely, without a doubt, flawless. When it came to entrées, we ordered several dishes, I can only speak to the ricotta gnocchi, which was cooked perfectly, topped with the most luxurious and flavorful, red sauce, and garnished with that beautiful homemade ricotta. It is the kind of dish you want to savor. I did have a quick try of their tiramisu, but when it comes to tiramisu, I am a traditionalist and I want that classic taste texture and flavor. What they offer is a twist on the original tiramisu, and while it is good, it's no substitute for a beautiful slice of the real thing. I was a bit off, put by the pricing. In this economy, you're wanting to make sure you get your moneys worth. I clearly see that while they charge a premium, they only have the best ingredients and their food is crafted. It was a Thursday night, it was quite busy, but it did seem to take quite some time for all of our food to arrive. For us to enjoy antipasto, our pasta, and desserts, it took two full hours. When you're celebrating a birthday, you may not mind a two hour dinner, but it seems a bit long if you're not celebrating a special occasion. A tip of the hat to the culinary team, you sure make some damn good Italian cuisine.
One of the best meals I have had in a long time. We were a large party of 10+. It is a relatively small and quaint place but making reservations ahead of time was well worth it. The appetizer spread we ordered was lights out. We loved the burrata with focaccia bread. The fried artichokes were like nothing I ever had before. My entree itself was out of this world. I had the braised short rib and for side the fingerling potatoes. The potatoes were cooked to perfection with crisp and just an amazing punch of rosemary. The beef was out of this world. My only constructive feedback was my dessert was very petit. I ordered a scoop of the cookies and cream ice cream. It was delish and full of cookie taste but the size made me chuckle.
Dining at ever and all was a fantastic experience. We shared an appetizer, two entrees, dessert, wine, cocktails, and a coffee on a nice date night out and everything tasted delicious. The interior and vibe of this place felt classy and romantic while also fun, I can't wait to come back here. Wonderful service.
Things have not change from when I went the last time. Made my reservation for Thursday at 6:30. And emergency occurred. So I emailed them to see if I can switched it to Friday or anytime Saturday. They changed it no problem. Nick was our waiter. And he is good with what he does. Cozy nice spot for a date night. When we came in, it wasn't too packed yet. But by the time we left around 7:45pm. It was getting very busy. We ordered the following. Burrata with orange marmalade with focaccia toasts. 5/5 warm toast helps the burrata melt a little and the marmalade add just the little sweetness. All time favorite. Roasted Oysters: 5/5 roasted to perfection topped with butter and panko. I couldn't eat that fast enough. Branzino 5/5 crispy skin, with a sweet meat and light. Pasta 5/5. Good carbs to go with the fish. My pink drink was for breast cancer awareness. And man it pack a punch. I was buzz. I do enjoy this please. They are good at what they do. And they stick with it..
It's been a while since a Charlotte restaurant has impressed me, but Ever Andalo has done it! My biggest piece of advice is make a reservation! They say they have a waitlist for walk-ins but even getting there right at open, it was a 1.5 hour wait. Luckily we were able to snag bar seats to enjoy our drinks and meals. The cocktails were very well-made. My fiancé and I loved the bourbon ginger maple drink the best. We started with the focaccia and olive oil flight, and added the house-made ricotta. The bread was delicious and came with sea salt and rosemary to add in. I loooove ricotta so that was the perfect complement. The pasta portions are small but I thought it was the perfect amount. I loved the Sunny Cavatelli which had sausage, kale, and broccoli in a tomato cream sauce. My fiancé got the gnocchi and I enjoyed that too. I'm a tough critic when it comes to pasta but these dishes were both great!! Omg can't forget about dessert! The cannoli had a vanilla bean twist and was so yummy. The tiramisu was layered in a glass cup and was also delicious. This is the place to go for an elevated Italian dining experience.
My friends and I came here a few weeks ago for dinner. We were lucky to get a spot at the bar right away. They have nothing but great things to say about this spot and I definitely enjoyed the experience here. We walked from their home and arrived around 7pm. The bartender recognized them and was friendly and attentive. It's a small but sleek and sophisticated restaurant with bar and regular seating. I had a glass of bubbles and one of the pasta dishes. I can see why this place is such a hit. I would definitely come back to try some other dishes and it looks like they have nice multi course dinners every now and then as well. @azfitfoodfun
Michelin Guide recommended and it was soooo worth it! For drinks we ordered the For Ever Martini and Tre Amari Black Manhattan, both were equally delicious. The menu was fantastic, ambiance cosy, and service outstanding! Celebrated a birthday there and the staff went out of their way to make it feel special. Highly recommend the Calabrian Chili Pappardelle! Also the Focaccia, Crudo, & Whole Fried Artichokes were awesome small plates to start with. Of course I couldn't leave without dessert, so we went with the Orange Olive Oil Cake...AMAZING!!! Highly recommend this restaurant! They will be seeing us again very soon.
The restaurant is super cute. The service was nothing short of amazing. The pasta (Sunny Cavatelli) was very flavorful . I would probably just ask to have my pasta cooked a little longer next time. The pancakes were really good also. I would come back for their brunch.
The food was so good! Felt like we were in Italy. The portions aren't huge, but still filled all of us. It's named after the area of Italy the owners great grandfather is from, which is precious. The pasta only has five ingredients and is made fresh daily. The server gave us a good rundown of the menu and answered all of our questions. The place was so cute. I loved the wallpaper. Not too dark or too bright.
More than anything, the food at Ever Andalo was so beautiful that I almost hated having to 'ruin' it by diving in for a bite! My boyfriend decided on a Tuesday date night and popped in right at opening which works best for us because we love a senior citizen dining time. We had our pick of table and seated upon arrival. Our waiter explained the menu to us (I always laugh when menus are explained, like are we the first people to ever look at a menu?) and we started with drinks: the rosy rose sangria for me and some jalapeno tequila drink for him. The sangria was delightful, light and lightly sweet. Our appetizer was the focaccia bread with olive oil flight, ricotta, and pistachios. The bread looked like cake and was fluffy with a slight crust. The olive oil flight was lost on me - sorry, they all tasted like olive oil! - but the ricotta was absolutely a winner and a MUST for the bread. For mains, I went with the calabrian chile pappardalle and he went with chicken piccata and fingerling potatoes. The pasta was and is delicious and must get. Slightly spicy and yet creamy. Would order 100% again and again. The potatoes could've used more salt but we discovered that most of it had pooled at the bottom of the potato pyramid. The both of us truly enjoyed our meals and were so glad that we finally checked this place off our list. For a nice evening out with your boo or family, add Ever Andalo!
Celebrated a birthday reservation here as 5 on a Friday night. Loved the bricked and ornate tiled floor. Filled up quickly after the 5pm opening. Nick, our waiter, made great recommendations and took great care of us throughout. Started with foccacia and a few flavorful olive oils. Keep in mind that all menu items are smaller portions since they are intended to be a course rather than an entree. Chose Gnocchi, Cavatelli, Mushroom Ravioli and Chicken Piccata. Everything was was hot and delicious. Unfortunately, no room was left for dessert, maybe next time. Enjoy!
In my opinion, this is the best Italian food in Charlotte. The decor and interior design genuinely elevate the whole experience -- I love the wallpaper, and especially the lace curtains, which make the place feel like being back in my nonna's kitchen. If I'm being picky, I do wish the pasta offerings were a bit more expansive, or at least rotated more often, but what's on the menu is still fantastic. I'm not a big meat eater, and while the non-meat selection is limited, I can still absolutely come here and have a full, delicious meal. Brunch is also exceptional. The mimosas are pricey but enormous, and the ricotta pancakes with strawberry syrup are worth the trip on their own -- I've tried recreating them at home and haven't come close. They do take walk-ins, so a reservation isn't strictly necessary, but it's definitely recommended, especially for larger parties. That said, my one real complaint is the $3-per-person reservation fee charged through Tock. This isn't applied to your bill or reimbursed when you show up -- it's essentially just the cost of a seat. That's not a big deal for one or two people, but for a larger party, you're looking at paying $15-20 just for the opportunity to then pay more for food. Honestly, it makes me less likely to book for a group -- I can't justify paying a cover charge just to walk into a restaurant. It feels like nickel-and-diming -- very out of alignment with the otherwise elevated atmosphere and experience -- and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that the rest of the experience doesn't quite wash out.

Failed Expectations: A Brunch That Looked Better Than It Tasted We were genuinely so excited for this brunch! It had been sitting on my Charlotte bucket list for ages, and we finally locked in reservations during my visit. First things first -- the space itself is adorable. Every detail feels intentional, from the spotless dining room to the perfectly set tables to the lighting that ties it all together. You could tell immediately that this place takes real pride in its presentation. It was warm and inviting from the second we walked through the door. The drinks were excellent, too. I especially loved the garnish spread for the water -- citrus of every variety, mint, cucumber -- such a small, thoughtful touch that instantly elevated the experience. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the rest of the experience. We started with the roasted oysters, which came so heavily breaded that the actual oyster flavor got completely lost underneath. In hindsight, I should've just ordered them raw. The Eggs Inferno was next, and it fell flat across the board -- it needed salt, it needed acid, it needed some kind of richness to bring it to life. I wouldn't order it again. My friend's seasonal focaccia toast was equally underwhelming and forgettable. But then -- the fingerling potatoes. Honestly, I wish we'd just ordered three plates of those and called it a meal. Fluffy on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor in every single bite. Hands down the highlight of brunch, and genuinely one of the best sides I've had in a while. Maybe dinner would tell a different story, but for brunch, I walked in expecting so much more than what we got. read more

My boyfriend took me for my birthday dinner here, and it was phenomenal! The ambiance was so cozy and romantic. The food was top tier, but I would say the artichoke is a must to order! Our wait staff were so polite and kind, and they worked way faster than I anticipated. Overall, definitely worth the hype and would absolutely go again! read more
We came here for my birthday dinner. We ordered the burrata, roasted oysters and then the artichokes because the first two items were so amazing! For dinner, we order the ragu and the spaghetti alla nerano! Both were fantastic! Overall very pleased with our server and the food. We are very glad we finally give this place a try. read more
One of the first places I ate at when I moved to Charlotte - so adorable inside and the kindest staff! We were a walk in and to this day I don't know how we got that lucky! Perfect location in NoDa - pasta is so fresh and some of the best I've had. The focaccia flight is also to die for. Definitely for a special occasion - it is a bit pricey and nice for more of a casual night out. read more

The was our first time at Ever Andalo, our waitress was very attentive and gave great suggestions. We loved everything we got, the focaccia is a must. The three different oils it comes with was a nice addition, the ricotta though was our favorite. Out of the two pastas we got, we enjoyed the Calabrian Chili one more. My friend and I ate here last night and we had a lovely experience. The restaurant is quaint and reminds me of a place you'd see in NYC with exposed walls and elegant mosaic tile floor. Our server was great and attended to our needs. The food did take longer than expected but they were completely full when we were eating so I assume they may have been backed up in the kitchen. The main courses were excellent. I loved both of our dishes and will definitely be going back. read more
Calabrian Chili Pappardelle (5/5): Perfect ratio of pasta, sauce, and meat. I LOVED the sauce. It was rich with a flavor that was just a little sweet and just a little spicy. The chili added some nice acidity too. Sunny Cavatelli (4/5): The pasta was cooked perfectly and I loved the texture from the shape. The sauce was good, but maybe a little too salty. I also wasn't a big fan of the kale and broccolini. Tiramisu Trifle (4/5): Loved the cake and the lady finger crumble, but I didn't like the coffee gelee (jello) at all. Focaccia (4/5): I really liked the crust which was just a little hard but not brittle. I also thought the olive oil flight was cool. Roasted Oysters (3/5): Crunchy breadcrumbs were nice, but there was WAY too much and the oyster itself got lost in the crumbs. Cheese Cloud (2/5): Definitely not worth it. Maaaybe with a really big party, but mostly just a gimmick. I confess I was a little salty when the Crepe Cellar closed down as it was one of my favorites. I should have had more faith in the team behind Haberdish another one of my favorite restaurants! Ever Andelo is clearly a passion project for the husband and wife owners as you can really feel how much of their heart and soul went into creating it. Everything from the decor to the food to the service is thoughtfully curated and pays homage to its Italian roots. From the moment we were brought out waters, the server brought over a citrus bar featuring lemons, oranges, cucumbers, and more in case we wanted to add any to our water. It may seem like a small thing, but that kind of personal attention and service goes a long way towards creating a unique dining experience. My table ordered the focaccia bread to start and it came with an olive oil flight. Four different olive oils each accompanied by a card describing the ingredients that contributed to the flavors as well as where in Italy the recipe came from. While some restaurants treat olive oil with bread like a standard addition that needs no explanation, they took the time to make theirs both unique and enlightening. I selected the bucatini, but also got to try some of my girlfriends gnocchi. Also worth noting is that with your pasta dishes you can order a cheese cloud choosing from either Parmesan or Romano and yes it is definitely worth it. Cap off all the delicious food with a great wine and cocktail list, and you have a fantastic dining experience. One of Charlotte's gems for sure! read more

Ever Andalo is one of my favorite spots in NoDa. Service was awesome. I quickly grabbed a seat at the bar. I ordered the pancakes, side order of Bacon and a side of fried eggs. The pancakes were great, light and great flavor. The fried eggs with hot sauce were cooked perfectly. The bacon is the thicker strips, so even more filling. I highly recommend people check out their brunch - I didn't even know they had a brunch menu until recently. read more

Such a good spot! The restaurant itself is beautiful, open and airy. I love that they save about half of their tables for walk-ins, which is what we did and we're sat instantly. Every server we interacted with was kind and attentive, and always happy to provide recommendations. I can understand why this place is a Michelin Guide restaurant. The food had incredible, complex flavors. Practically everything is homemade and you can tell. We will be back! read more

Make a reservation for brunch I think we had to pay 7.00 per person. Parking is difficult especially on weekends. We parked at YMCA 11.00 for three hours very close walking distance to restaurant. I would encourage you to get the raw oysters with migontte for added flavor. Burrata with orange salt and grilled focaccia bread was my favorite dish last Saturday. My wife enjoyed the roasted beets with Gorgonzola mousse. Zucchini frittata was good huge portion definitely shareable. The waygu flank seasoned great but very chewy I would explore other dishes. Went for our anniversary dinner. Impeccable service. Hand written note thanking us for joining for dinner and as a nice touch. Focaccia was excellent as always with the olive oil flight. The tuna crudo was the only dish that missed the whole evening. It was quite watery and lacking the flavor punch we were hoping for but the fish itself was quite good. One of the highlights for my wife was she had noticed the pasta special the night before was a vodka rigatoni with crispy pancetta wish is one of her favorite all time dishes. Unfortunately the special the night we joined was different (Cacio e Pepe, my absolute favorite) we figured we'd ask if there's any way they could do the vodka rigatoni for her thinking it was a long shot. Our sweet waitress came back and said they could! And it ended up being "one of the best pasta dishes she's ever had" according to my wife. My Cacio e PePe was equally amazing. And of course we got the Parmesan cloud! For drinks I had an excellent old fashioned to start and she went with an Italian red which paired well with everything. My family and I had a quaint birthday celebration here. The food was absolutely delicious, with the freshest pasta that tastes like it was made just for you. Their lamb chops were so flavorful. We were very satisfied with the desserts, and the service was great too. The only downside was the parking situation, which was a bit of a pain, but it was worth the hassle. read more

Excellent decor as well as service. Our server was very knowledgeable & helpful. Everything we ordered was tasty. I even tried octopus for the 1st time & it was tender, sweet & spicy. The pappardelle was my fave along with the massive heap of parmaesan cheese they give you. Overall, a great experience. read more

I really enjoyed this place but I wouldn't say it's worth all the hype it gets. All of the food was solid and good. The grilled focaccia was excellent. Stay away from the spaghettini alla nerano unless you really love zucchini because it totally one note. read more

Brunch at Ever Andalo is amazing. If you're a fan of their dinner menu, then brunch will wow you just the same. What I find most interesting is that they have a pasta option on the menu for brunch. This season, it's a carbonara and it looked phenomenal. We each ordered the wagyu and eggs, and added fingerling potatoes and cacio e pepe polenta to round out the meal. Our waitstaff were all kind, they were thorough and attentive. This is the kind of place you'll want to return to time and time again. It feels old-world Italian, but it also feels like home. As with parking in NoDa, it can be a struggle. Choose the paid lot by the YMCA or street parking if you're lucky! read more
