It's been a while since a Charlotte restaurant has impressed me, but Ever Andalo has done it! My biggest piece of advice is make a reservation! They say they have a waitlist for walk-ins but even getting there right at open, it was a 1.5 hour wait. Luckily we were able to snag bar seats to enjoy our drinks and meals. The cocktails were very well-made. My fiancé and I loved the bourbon ginger maple drink the best. We started with the focaccia and olive oil flight, and added the house-made ricotta. The bread was delicious and came with sea salt and rosemary to add in. I loooove ricotta so that was the perfect complement. The pasta portions are small but I thought it was the perfect amount. I loved the Sunny Cavatelli which had sausage, kale, and broccoli in a tomato cream sauce. My fiancé got the gnocchi and I enjoyed that too. I'm a tough critic when it comes to pasta but these dishes were both great!! Omg can't forget about dessert! The cannoli had a vanilla bean twist and was so yummy. The tiramisu was layered in a glass cup and was also delicious. This is the place to go for an elevated Italian dining experience. read more

The three different oils it comes with was a nice addition, the ricotta though was our favorite. Out of the two pastas we got, we enjoyed the Calabrian Chili one more. My friends and I came here a few weeks ago for dinner. We were lucky to get a spot at the bar right away. They have nothing but great things to say about this spot and I definitely enjoyed the experience here. We walked from their home and arrived around 7pm. The bartender recognized them and was friendly and attentive. It's a small but sleek and sophisticated restaurant with bar and regular seating. I had a glass of bubbles and one of the pasta dishes. I can see why this place is such a hit. Michelin Guide recommended and it was soooo worth it! For drinks we ordered the For Ever Martini and Tre Amari Black Manhattan, both were equally delicious. The menu was fantastic, ambiance cosy, and service outstanding! Celebrated a birthday there and the staff went out of their way to make it feel special. Highly recommend the Calabrian Chili Pappardelle! Also the Focaccia, Crudo, & Whole Fried Artichokes were awesome small plates to start with. The food was so good! Felt like we were in Italy. The portions aren't huge, but still filled all of us. It's named after the area of Italy the owners great grandfather is from, which is precious. More than anything, the food at Ever Andalo was so beautiful that I almost hated having to 'ruin' it by diving in for a bite! My boyfriend decided on a Tuesday date night and popped in right at opening which works best for us because we love a senior citizen dining time. We had our pick of table and seated upon arrival. Our waiter explained the menu to us (I always laugh when menus are explained, like are we the first people to ever look at a menu?) and we started with drinks: the rosy rose sangria for me and some jalapeno tequila drink for him. The sangria was delightful, light and lightly sweet. Our appetizer was the focaccia bread with olive oil flight, ricotta, and pistachios. The bread looked like cake and was fluffy with a slight crust. The olive oil flight was lost on me - sorry, they all tasted like olive oil! - but the ricotta was absolutely a winner and a MUST for the bread. For mains, I went with the calabrian chile pappardalle and he went with chicken piccata and fingerling potatoes. The pasta was and is delicious and must get. Slightly spicy and yet creamy. Would order 100% again and again. The potatoes could've used more salt but we discovered that most of it had pooled at the bottom of the potato pyramid. Celebrated a birthday reservation here as 5 on a Friday night. Loved the bricked and ornate tiled floor. Filled up quickly after the 5pm opening. Nick, our waiter, made great recommendations and took great care of us throughout. Started with foccacia and a few flavorful olive oils. Keep in mind that all menu items are smaller portions since they are intended to be a course rather than an entree. Chose Gnocchi, Cavatelli, Mushroom Ravioli and Chicken Piccata. I confess I was a little salty when the Crepe Cellar closed down as it was one of my favorites. I should have had more faith in the team behind Haberdish another one of my favorite restaurants! Ever Andelo is clearly a passion project for the husband and wife owners as you can really feel how much of their heart and soul went into creating it. Everything from the decor to the food to the service is thoughtfully curated and pays homage to its Italian roots. From the moment we were brought out waters, the server brought over a citrus bar featuring lemons, oranges, cucumbers, and more in case we wanted to add any to our water. It may seem like a small thing, but that kind of personal attention and service goes a long way towards creating a unique dining experience. My table ordered the focaccia bread to start and it came with an olive oil flight. Four different olive oils each accompanied by a card describing the ingredients that contributed to the flavors as well as where in Italy the recipe came from. While some restaurants treat olive oil with bread like a standard addition that needs no explanation, they took the time to make theirs both unique and enlightening. I selected the bucatini, but also got to try some of my girlfriends gnocchi. Also worth noting is that with your pasta dishes you can order a cheese cloud choosing from either Parmesan or Romano and yes it is definitely worth it. Ever Andalo is one of my favorite spots in NoDa. Service was awesome. I quickly grabbed a seat at the bar. I ordered the pancakes, side order of Bacon and a side of fried eggs. The pancakes were great, light and great flavor. The fried eggs with hot sauce were cooked perfectly. The bacon is the thicker strips, so even more filling. Went for our anniversary dinner. Impeccable service. Hand written note thanking us for joining for dinner and as a nice touch. Focaccia was excellent as always with the olive oil flight. The tuna crudo was the only dish that missed the whole evening. It was quite watery and lacking the flavor punch we were hoping for but the fish itself was quite good. One of the highlights for my wife was she had noticed the pasta special the night before was a vodka rigatoni with crispy pancetta wish is one of her favorite all time dishes. Unfortunately the special the night we joined was different (Cacio e Pepe, my absolute favorite) we figured we'd ask if there's any way they could do the vodka rigatoni for her thinking it was a long shot. Our sweet waitress came back and said they could! And it ended up being "one of the best pasta dishes she's ever had" according to my wife. My Cacio e PePe was equally amazing. And of course we got the Parmesan cloud! For drinks I had an excellent old fashioned to start and she went with an Italian red which paired well with everything. Such a good spot! The restaurant itself is beautiful, open and airy. I love that they save about half of their tables for walk-ins, which is what we did and we're sat instantly. Every server we interacted with was kind and attentive, and always happy to provide recommendations. I can understand why this place is a Michelin Guide restaurant. My friend and I ate here last night and we had a lovely experience. The restaurant is quaint and reminds me of a place you'd see in NYC with exposed walls and elegant mosaic tile floor. Calabrian Chili Pappardelle (5/5): Perfect ratio of pasta, sauce, and meat. I LOVED the sauce. It was rich with a flavor that was just a little sweet and just a little spicy. The chili added some nice acidity too. Sunny Cavatelli (4/5): The pasta was cooked perfectly and I loved the texture from the shape. The sauce was good, but maybe a little too salty. I also wasn't a big fan of the kale and broccolini. Tiramisu Trifle (4/5): Loved the cake and the lady finger crumble, but I didn't like the coffee gelee (jello) at all. Focaccia (4/5): I really liked the crust which was just a little hard but not brittle. I also thought the olive oil flight was cool. Roasted Oysters (3/5): Crunchy breadcrumbs were nice, but there was WAY too much and the oyster itself got lost in the crumbs. Cheese Cloud (2/5): Definitely not worth it. We had signed up for the waiting list and missed our time slot, but fortunately by the time we reached the restaurant they had available seating (it was probably after 8:30pm). Restaurant was moody and dim. Felt fancy without being $$$. I ordered the bolognese as it's my favorite and the focaccia. Bread came out piping hot with different oils to choose from. Very good. Pasta was one of the best bolognese I've ever had. The pappardelle noodles were made in house which seriously made all the difference. The noodles had the perfect bite and chew--drooling over them now. The sauce was had all the flavor I wanted from a meaty red sauce. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Make a reservation for brunch I think we had to pay 7.00 per person. Parking is difficult especially on weekends. We parked at YMCA 11.00 for three hours very close walking distance to restaurant. I would encourage you to get the raw oysters with migontte for added flavor. Burrata with orange salt and grilled focaccia bread was my favorite dish last Saturday. My wife enjoyed the roasted beets with Gorgonzola mousse. Zucchini frittata was good huge portion definitely shareable. The waygu flank seasoned great but very chewy I would explore other dishes. Overall an OK experience. Went for a NYE meal and there was a fixed menu. Items ranged from outstanding (polenta was so tasty as was the lamb ragu on the gnoochi) to OK (crudo was decent and the desserts disappointed). I would have liked to try some of the plates on the regular menu but maybe we will go back and do that at some point. Tables around us turned over at a normal pace but our meal lasted a bit longer than anticpated. We had about a 40 minute wait for dessert followed by a quick bill. Brunch at Ever Andalo is amazing. If you're a fan of their dinner menu, then brunch will wow you just the same. What I find most interesting is that they have a pasta option on the menu for brunch. This season, it's a carbonara and it looked phenomenal. We each ordered the wagyu and eggs, and added fingerling potatoes and cacio e pepe polenta to round out the meal. Our waitstaff were all kind, they were thorough and attentive. This is the kind of place you'll want to return to time and time again. It feels old-world Italian, but it also feels like home. We came here for Mother's day brunch and lucked out. They take reservations but also have a "join waitlist" feature so you can put your name in before you get there, but this feature was not working on Mother's Day. We arrived at noon, found street parking down the street and didn't ahve to pay since it was Sunday. They were able to squeeze us in with only about a 10 minute wait! Our server, who was amazing, was with us immediately and we reviewed the menu. We started with the focaccia toast, which was awesome. We got all three kinds instead of one order of one kind so we could try them all my favorite was the Coppa Tellegio one. The strawberry ricotta one was also good, but I didn't care for the tomato based one. For my entree, I got the wagyu steak and eggs, and substituted the poached eggs for fried and it was excellent. They sous vide their steak so the color wasn't as medium rare as I thought, but it still tasted amazing and the italian salsa was unique and really brought the flavors together.
