    Chicken with potatoes and asparagus
    Dawn R.

Hubby and I met here after work to enjoy dinner in Ballantyne. It's December and the place looked nice decorated for Christmas. There was a large Christmas tree at the foyer and a small thin Christmas tree in the backroom where we were seated. He had the chips and salsa/ queso appetizer while waiting for me. The quantity and quality was lacking. The cheese was so runny it was like a thin soup. Neither of us liked it. I had a few chips when I showed up and was not impressed. The rest of the dinner was pretty good though. He had the chicken with potatoes and asparagus. It was tasty and a good deal and quantity for the price. The mashed potatoes were excellent. My salmon and asparagus was very good, but not filling. It needed rice. I had to steal some of hubby's potatoes to feel full after eating my own meal. Our waitress was nice. Food came out timely. I was surprised to see so many apparently single people at the bar area. It looked like folks in their 50s were hanging out trying to meet each other. It was a bit crowded to walk thru them to our table since that area doesn't have much room. It's a single file behind the bar chairs to walk thru. Parking is easy since the place is in a strip mall. I'd return.

Have heard a lot abt this place and was excited to finally get the chance to check them out. I walk in and was immediately greeted by a friendly bartender (who I would come to find out his name is Brad), his welcome was so warm I ended up sitting at the bar even though that wasn't my intention when I got there. I'm glad I did. He made the whole first visit worth it. His bubbly outgoing personality is exactly what you want to deal with at a bar/restaurant. I ordered the chicken soup which was so yummy! Then I got the chicken sandwich and again another yummy goodness. I heard the people beside me raving abt the martini Brad made them so I asked him what it was. It was gingerbread so I couldn't pass it up and glad I didn't. It was very delish. The place is beautifully decorated. Only reason why I knocked one star off is because their grade at 93. I usually prefer 95 and above but either way I'm glad I stayed because everything was on point.

I started off a little worried. It was 8:30 when I arrived, and the hostess said she needed to check what time they were closing. Both the door and the website said 10, but for a moment, I felt like that late-night customer. In the end, I grabbed a seat at the bar, which offered full service and a friendly, competent bartender. He recommended the Legion Hazy IPA (excellent choice) and pointed me toward the "Fall Features" menu. The pork shank caught both his approval and my curiosity--and I'm glad it did. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly, with a lightly caramelized exterior and a tender, juicy interior. The shank rested on a little pillow of pumpkin-sage and sun-dried tomato orzo that tied it all together beautifully. And the portion? Let's just say it wasn't dinosaur-sized, but definitely hearty. Maybe we'll call it a pigosaur. Or a hogosaur. Still workshopping it. Anyway, it turned out to be a very nice dinner while traveling for work. The dining room was pretty empty at that hour, but it has that modern-yet-cozy vibe that probably draws a crowd earlier in the evening. A touch of fanciness without the pretension. Give it a try--you'll eat well and leave happy.

I had a wonderful dinner and service at Juniper lastnight. Even though they were busy nothing came out cold or delayed. My steak was cooked to absolute perfection and so were the sides. The manager Chris even checked in on us to see how we enjoyed the meal and we happily told him we did. The decor is very nice with a great bar scene. I am looking forward to going back and trying other things on the menu.

Get the cornbread!!! Drinks were incredible. Steak and smokehouse platter was exquisite. Wish there was room for dessert. We will just have to come back.

Went here for lunch with some colleagues. Getting into the restaurant was a little strange. We had to go on through the entrance and then take a left and go through another door. There wasn't a greeter station so it wasn't clear where to go after that. We eventually were greeted and led to a table. Humorously the greeter asked us if we had a reservation when the restaurant was nearly empty. We were waited on by two waitresses. One seemed to be in training. The selections on the menu covered a swath of different cuisines from salads to burgers to southwestern to BBQ. It gave me the impression that it was having an identity crisis and didn't really have a clear idea what it wanted to be. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and what I got was a little disappointing. I was presented with two small enchiladas and beans over rice. The enchiladas were good but there wasn't any real flavor to the beans. I had to ask for hot sauce and the waitresses had to be asked to refill our water glasses. Eh I'll take a pass on this place.

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday! We had a group of all ages. The restaurant and menu was very fitting for the occasion. I had this place on my list to try to I was looking forward to trying it out. The restaurant was clean, the service was good, but unfortunately the was below expectations. The chicken was dry and bland. The potatoes were okay but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't be in a rush to revisit.

We went to Juniper grill for dinner and the overall experience was fine. Our waitress was very nice as well. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews but I was really surprised by the taste :) The cornbread was good but way too sweet for an appetizer. We also ordered an old fashion and my husband hated it. Everything is just okay. The ambiance was nice. Very calm restaurant but I won't come back.

I've been wanting to try this place out for a long time now, so when a friend asked me to meet her for lunch, this place was an easy yes! Our waitress Maddie was very nice and made great recommendations from the menu. With her guidance, I decided on the Sante Bowl so good and my friend got the chicken avocado salad. We tried the cornbread and fries as well. Fries were perfection as I love a good fresh cut fry!! The restaurant was really cute in the inside as well. I definitely be returning since it's really close to home.

I have no notes. This place was 10 out of 10. The decor and ambience is clean, elegant, and inviting. The service was attentive and professional. The food was perfectly cooked. The honey shrimp tacos are still on my mind and I'm writing this review days after my visit. The margarita was perfectly mixed. The cornbread dessert was excellent; it was sweet and savory with lots of fresh fruit. This would easily be a spot I would invite someone to, or I would go back by myself. If you haven't tried the spot, you are missing out on a fantastic meal.

Lovely experience at Juniper Grill. We stopped in for lunch and shared a quesadilla and fries. The server was fast and friendly! The restaurant was busy and decor was nice! The quesadilla was a generous portion and the fries were handcut. Definitely don't skip this spot!

I see a lot of not so flattering reviews, was glad we did not get that experience. The venue is a vibe. Large space. We opted to sit at the bar and glad we did. Brad was our bar tender and he was an absolute gem. His energy, attentiveness and just overall vibe was just amazing. I always say service matters and Brad knew the assignment. The cocktails we very good. We had a range from old fashions, to cucumber refreshers, spicy margs, gin and tonics, green tea shots, THEN for my bourbon drinkers we found a unicorn, Eagle Rare 17! A bottle I'm sure I'd never afford, but for 80.00 for a one oz pour we were all in. Some may be blinking hard but my bourbon drinkers know the deal! And let me say it was worth every penny, a very great Bourbon. Now the food.. The chipotle skirt steak with mash potatoes was very good. Nice portion. The chipotle sauce was good, maybe could of been more smokey but still went great with the steak which was seasoned perfectly. The mash potatoes were literally the second best I've ever had! Fluffy, creamy and a flavor bomb! I got a side or the mexician street corn, perfect choice. After trying that, I had to try something else, which I ordered to go. I choose the smokehouse dish, where I chose brisket and smoked sausage with a side of coleslaw. I definitely did not like the coleslaw, but that is because I am more a mayo based slaw so it was totally a dislike due to preference. The brisket wasn't a wow, but was good. The BBQ sauce was yummy and the smoked sausage was delicious. I know this is a fairly new spot, wishing them all the best..

Went back to Juniper Grill in Ballantyne for a pre-birthday lunch. Tried the street taco appetizer - be warned they didn't ask if we wanted pork or chicken - you have to tell them. Didn't realize we could've chosen and they brought us chicken (really wanted to try the pork). There was no way I was going to waste food so we ate the chicken - wow, they were wonderful! We also tried the dip trio, which was a wonderful queso - truly amazing in my opinion! Guacamole. I thought it was quite good. The tomato salsa? I was not a fan. Not that it was bad? Totally my personal taste - too sweet, more like applesauce in flavor/texture. Of course, loved the chips and when the taco ingredients overflowed? We just scooped them up with a chip and added some queso! yummy! Decided to try the ribeye with I believe it was fried sweet potato. A little surprised that it was over salted in many areas. Cooked perfectly, great flavor and texture, but you may want to ask them to be careful with the salt and not overdo it. Tried the Chipotle Skirt Steak and replaced the mashed potatoes with asparagus. I thought that it was cooked perfectly at medium rare. For skirt steak I was pleasantly surprised by the texture and I really liked the light. I believe it's a chili cream drizzle over the top. We ordered a little cup of horseradish sauce and a separate little cup of Gorgonzola. Really enjoyed the horseradish sauce on both cuts of meat. We were too full to eat dessert at Juniper Grill, but? I'm about to post a separate picture of my annual Tres Leches Cake from MIROS!!! that's beautiful, delightful heavenly dessert needs a post all its own!

    Do they serve Lobster?

I don't think there is a lobster entrée, however there may be an entrée with some seafood in it ( perhaps lobster). There are so many delicious menu items. I'm sure you will find one to enjoy.

Do you serve steak and or salmon without sauces? Do you serve shrimp cocktail? Do you serve hamburgers?. Do you serve tossed salads? I ask because 4 of us are on special diets. Thank you so much.

Your steak and salmon will have the options to be sauce-less or sauce on the side. They do have hamburgers, please see the menu picture a fellow Yelper uploaded. Yes on the salads but no on the shrimp cocktail.

When it came, it looked very nice on the plate-the brioche bun is huge-and being slightly gluten intolerant I could eat it, but I did not eat the whole bun because it is super thick. I wish I could say that about the meat! I was surprised at how thin the patty was considering the price of the burger, and especially how thick the bun was!!! It's not that it was super thin, but it was thin for that price point-and it was not cooked medium. It was completely brown throughout, but that's probably because it was thinner. I can eat well done but it's not my first choice. So to me for the price of the meal, it wasn't worth it, but I would go back and order a dish that is not a hamburger and give them another chance because I think they deserve it with everything else being a very positive experience I've got to look thru my 35,000 pictures to find more from this restaurant-cause I know I took more! I'll try to add them

I've been to this and other Bad Daddy's so many times I cannot believe I've never written a review…read more The restaurant is pretty much a "restaurant in a sports bar" setting. In earlier visits I always gotten a burger and my wife, a burger or a salad of some type. There are many burger varieties on the menu or you can "create your own" using a provided list of available ingredients and toppings. They have also introduced a "smash burgerI". I much prefer a big hunk of meat rare or medium rare which you cannot achieve when you order smash burgers. What ever I've ordered in the past was cooked perfectly and tasted great (which is why I keep coming back when in a Bad Daddy's market). For the last few visits, I've gravitated to "Kim's Honey Chicken" which is a wonderfully flavored spiced honey and jalapeño ranch sandwich. Probably my favorite chicken sandwich anywhere except for when I'm in Nashville. My wife has enjoyed the perfectly cooked burgers but has lately done the "build your own" salad". Much like the burgers, there is a list of things you would expect and a lot that you wouldn't expect to choose from when ordering as salad. Service is always great as well.

They did not disappoint. I went on a Wednesday morning after a doctor's appointment, which I had to fast for so I was really hungry and thirsty. The outstanding servers at Flipside quickly remedied both of those! Being that it was late morning in the middle of the week seating was quick and easy. I've been there on the weekends though picking up for DoorDash when the line has been out the door so please plan accordingly. But if the rest of their items are as good as what I had I now know why there is a line. My server was quickly to my table moments after I sat and was ready to get me a drink. I choose a simple soda but as they have a full bar there are so many choices! But even the simple soda delighted me as it was brought in a cute glass shaped like a soda can with the restaurant's name on it. I'm not sure if they sell them but I would have been a buyer today. Having delivered this dish to many times to count I knew what I was getting before I entered. The chicken and waffles will always be my go to order at any place that offers it so it was a no brainer. I added a side of sausage links, I like sausage with my breakfast and I wanted something else to rate. :) As I was thirsty I sucked down that first drink very fast and was happy when a server swooped by and filled it up for me and took the paper wrapper from the straw with her to clear the table. In hardly no time at all my order was delivered to my table. I was also asked if i wanted butter for my waffle, um yes please! My dish - the waffle was quite large and thick. It had a great crust to the outside but the inside was warm and fluffy. After the butter I poured the syrup over the waffle. It held up in the little waffle cups never really absorbed by the waffle and therefore it never got soggy. I got four decent sized chicken tenders, one for each quadrant of the waffle. At least, that's how my brain sized it up. The tenders were seasoned and coated well and would be a tasty snack on their own. Cut and stacked with bits of waffle made the ultimate bite! The sausage links were just as delicious! They were hot and the outer casing had a nice snap to them when you bit into them. It was the perfect compliment to the chicken and waffles. Overall my meal was amazing. The service was exemplary. The place is very cheerful and friendly. Just typing up this review made me crave another order of chicken and waffles. If you haven't yet been there then I highly suggest you get over there soon! I know I will be back soon!

We came on a Saturday brunch time, it was busy, I saw that they have table available, but the host suggested to sit in the bar as she said the service will be faster, then we tied to sit down there aren't any two seats available together then she gave us a table. Once we seated, we didn't have any one come to us, we have to ask where is our waitress? The waitress that came for our service, we realize that the waitress was someone passed by us couple of times already, she didn't greet us or anything. But once she greeted us, it was ok service. It must be someone from management didn't let her know about the table or they are under staff. Another thing I noticed is that while we are eating, the table was not reset properly, it was missing silverware and the customers have to ask for it after their food came out. As a big group that owes many restaurants, they didn't seem to care to reply any reviews on here. Also the staff at the restaurant is not bad, just seems to have issues with communication. It is sad that food was good but service brought it down.
