I had a poor experience here, I don't recommend this place if you value your time. I scheduled acrylic nails and a pedicure giving them 1 1/2-2hours and while getting my pedicure the only man. Able to do my nails was doing someone else's nails so when he's done I tell him I only have an hour left before I have to go and he says there's not enough time to do what I wanted so I would have to reschedule. So to start, my mom was also getting her nails done and she had an ok experience here. For me, Unfortunately, the worst pedicure I have ever had done. I would say that I have pretty high pain tolerance, but I was almost in tears after my nail tech finished cutting my cuticles. After the first cut I did mention that it hurt and she continued to cut the next two toes the same way. To the point I had to say OW really loud, and I'm not one for confrontation. Also, while she was cleaning my nails she would wipe the tools off on my feet. That's gross right? I'm not crazy? In terms of the polish, she didn't clean it up at all and parts of my nails were unpainted. Overall, just a really bad experience I was so tense the entire time in fear that she'd somehow hurt me again. Who knows though maybe you'll have an okay experience. Good luck. read more

I came here for the first time today. My manicurist did an amazing job. Although it took about an hour, it was fine by me because she was so detail-oriented and she massaged my fingers and hands as she worked. I could've fallen asleep. ;) Clean place. Relaxing. Some good color choices, although, I opted for black to help me get into my Halloween character. ;) I was the only person in there at around 10:30. Then a few minutes later, one of the other employees turned on the TV. Honey Boo Boo & her mom were on Access Hollywood Live. Ugh... Walked in, no one greeted me. I'm used to being greeted the moment I walk into a nail salon. I sat for about 15 minutes and no one spoke to me. Contemplated walking out. I guess since all stations were full or they were dealing with an unhappy customer? Or maybe because it was late on a Saturday. Well, enough making excuses. Eventually, the infamous Tanya came in. She greeted me and another client and told us our stations would be set up soon and we would be attended to. Atmosphere was nice and clean. The nail care technicians all wore white coats. They all looked very professional. Although they were all of Asian (I'm assuming Vietnamese) descent, there was no yelling back in forth in their native tongue. I appreciated that greatly. They conversed mostly in English. I'm all for being bilingual, but it's always bugged me when they're carrying on in their native language in front of a customer. It's just rude. I chose to get a manicure with gel nail polish. My nail care technician took his time with my nails. He filed, shaped, trimmed, my nails and then repeated. He was obviously a perfectionist because he took over an hour with my nails! At one point my arm even cramped from holding it up for so long. Not. Kidding. All of the time he spent on my nails was worth it. They look perfect! At one point during my visit, a gentleman who worked there went around offering everyone a cookie. They had bought them from Porto's and he and he had warmed them up. He went through the trouble of wrapping one up in a paper towel for me since I was getting my nails done. I honestly felt like my nail care tech cared about the job he did on my nails. He took his time and that it SO rare at nail shops. They usually rush their job to move on to the next client. I'm so happy they are open ! I've been to several different nail salons, in the area and I haven't been fully convinced of their service and quality . I always seem to come back to this place . The best pedicure I could ask for and the price is super reasonable. Everything was extremely clean , very relaxing atmosphere. Also the quality of work by far the best I have experienced. Both of the ladies that took care of my manicure and pedicure were very detailed and took their time to make sure nothing was missed . I made an appointment at this shop since it was nearby my work. I arrived a little early and was greeted quickly by a woman who asked what I needed and then walked me over to a spa chair. I really liked their spa chair, as it not only massages but the seat vibrates too. I was there to get a french tip mani and pedi. The hand and foot massage was great. The girl doing my pedi scrubbed my feet extra hard at my request, which was lovely. The lady doing my pedi was nice enough to put a pillow on my lap when I had to reach my left arm over to the right for her to do my mani. I've never had another shop do that. Overall, a good experience and friendly staff. Not too much chatter between the employees, and if so, it seemed friendly. The mani and pedi results were pretty good. The girl doing my mani did tug at my cuticles a but more than I'm used too, but did not cause pain. Also, the polish wasn't done perfectly at the edges of the nail bed, but the French tip part was pretty good. I found free parking on the street right in front (it's 2 hrs between 8 and 6 I think), and also there's a covered lot in front of Portos, which is across the street. They take Visa/Mc and didn't charge me an extra fee like some places. My mani pedi with French tip came out to $29 before tip and took just over an hour. The man whose name he refused to give and wears no name tag, treats customers like Sh... he's rude and pushy, speaks almost in yelling tone and has complete disregard for what clients wants. When asked about different designs of nails he became belligerant and screamed "well what do you want for $35 dollars" had terrible difficulty understanding his English in spite of his loud and rude remarks. His demeanor and actions left me a very sour taste his work was below a 7 year old applying nail polish. Completely unprofessional and rude. His foul mouth smelled horrid like putrid fish and his screaming and tugging at my hands was more than enough for me not to return. Beware he is the one who sits in the first table as you go in. Update: so they do a great job but more recently the service has declined. I call to get an appointment and I can never get the time. The woman who answers the phone asks what time then proceeds to. Tell you she has no slots available until a different day or a completely different time. The last time I was there they were laughing at a woman next to me. I've waited for years to write this review, out of fear that once I name dropped, my girl would no longer be available. I tried Le My's for the first time 7 years ago. The woman who did my pedicure was Nancy, and let's just say, I never went elsewhere until just recently, because I moved out of state. Anyone who knows me though, knows the name Nancy because I have raved about her to everyone I know for the past 7 years. Her attention to detail is like no other. Never, in 7 years of regular gel pedicures, did she ever cut me, file to wear it hurt or mess up my nails. I always got the Deluxe Pedicure and each and every time left feeling like I had the cleanest feet ever. Nancy takes her time, cleans up the cuticles without rushing. But best of all is her MASSAGE. The deluxe pedicure comes with a scrub and hot stones and I would leave feeling like I got the BEST triple massage ever. I have always hated going to a nail place only to feel like I paid for someone to rub lotion on my legs. I can do that myself. She massaged with the scrub, again with the hot stones, and then again with lotion and oil. Her English is limited but her sweetness shines through and it's nothing a little Google translate can't help out with. I have now moved out of state and can't seem to find anyone like her. I don't think he understands that the customer brings in his paycheck. He treats his customers like shit. The positives: the place is super clean and the owner is friendly and accommodating. I had gel balls done by Kelly and she did a fantastic job. She is sweet, makes sure you are comfortable, and listens well to your wants and needs The negatives: I had a pedicure done by Lisa, she is very nice but was way too rough with the cuticle cutter and the foot scrubber and ended up scraping skin from the bottom of my foot. My toenails were also not the shape I asked for and crooked. I asked Kelly to ask Lisa (there was a language barrier) to please straighten out my toenails but she had already cut them too short to provide me with the requested shape. I would not go back as I have skin scraped off of my foot and I paid $55 to wake up the next day with a sore foot! This was the worst salon experience I have ever had. This has to be the best salon in the area. I have been getting my manicure and pedicures here for over 4 years and I love it! They take their time you definitely get what you pay for. All the ladies are amazing but Sophie has got to be my favorite pedicurist there. The nail polish will last me for a month without chipping, although I usually go back every two weeks just because I'm obsessed. Very organized, and you have to make an appointment in advance so that is why they always take their time no rushing through the service. This nail salon used to be my fav. I have been a customer for 8years now and after todays incident I refuse to return. I made an appointment Friday afternoon for Saturday at 1pm. Come "my" nail appointment at 1pm to be told that i am not listed at all. I showed Brian my call log to indicate that I indeed called the day before and he completely ignored me to take a call. I called 10 minutes ahead on a Monday afternoon for a pedicure. I was welcomed and seated as soon as I came in. Since it was my first visit, I was very relieved that a plastic liner was put in the tub. The tools used also came from a new package. Susan did my pedicure and made sure the water was the temperature I wanted. She took her time and overall did a great job. I paid $25 for the second tier pedicure, not including tip. This included an exfoliating lotion and hot stones. The exfoliator smelled great! The reason why I can't give this place full stars is because the overall ambiance is not incredibly nice or appealing. The white towels used were clean but still were stained and slightly discolored from so much use. A fresh set of white towels for the salon wouldn't hurt! Overall I had a good first experience here. Le My's showed up in the top two of what I was looking for and after calling to ask about prices, Le My's cam out on top. The guy that greets you at the front seems t be the owner and he was very friendly. He asked me to have a seat while someone sets up a station and in the meanwhile, gave me nail swatches to look at. The girl who gave me my manicure (JC if I remember correctly) was very nice and so gentle! She took her time to make sure my nails looked good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the owner was constantly smoking in the back and the wind would bring all the smoke into the building since he kept the door open.
