I asked for a 90s blowout after my hair treatment and got what looked like tight curling rod spiral curls. Nice ambiance, fast paced. The stylist dropped the comb on the floor and picked it up then continued to put it to my head which I learned after is technically cross contamination. I brought my mom here for what was supposed to be a quick haircut and color retouch. The stylist who took us in was initially very nice, and my mom was happy at first. However, the experience quickly went downhill. About 40 minutes into my mom's retouch, the stylist called in another client and began cutting his hair. She had a 45-minute timer set on her phone for my mom's dye, but even after the alarm went off, she continued working on the other client and forgot that my mom needed her color washed out. By the time I checked, my mom had dye on her hair for almost an hour. When she finally took my mom to the wash station, the stylist realized the color did not match properly. She appeared nervous and consulted another stylist, who instructed her to add a different color meaning my mom had to sit with dye on her hair for another 15 minutes. At this point, we had already been there far longer than expected. I stepped out to pick up food at Porto's (about 28 minutes) and when I returned, my mom still had dye in her hair. By then, she had been sitting for over 2.5 hours just for a simple retouch. Even after washing, the color still didn't match well. My mom didn't complain, but I did. We then waited another 15 minutes just for a trim. During the trim, the stylist asked how many layers I wanted on my mom's hair despite us clearly stating we only wanted a trim and no layers. Overall, the service was extremely disorganized, time management was poor, and the lack of attention to detail was disappointing. This was not the experience we expected, and unfortunately, we will not be returning. I would strongly recommend more hands-on training, as the work did not reflect professional salon standards. Brittney needs to be more Professional. Don't get bleach product on my face and then just leave it on there like it didn't happen. She yanked out the foil out of my hair, pulling and ripping my hair out of the root. She needs to not leave me on the sink leaned back for almost 10 minutes while she walks back and forth doing only god knows what. She needs to know that the girls doing their hair do it like ice cold water on their heads. She needs to know that her head massage feels more like a clawing and carving with her fingers like she wants to hurt you instead of relaxing you!! And she needs to be more polite. She needs to ask what hair style you would like instead of just doing lazy curls to everyone !!! Really bad experience for a $275 job that I could have done else where for $130 my hair has been damaged dry and tangled for months. She has no hand at dealing with hair. First of I'd would like to thank Jessy for coming through for me once again. He is a great hairdresser with lots of experience. Interesting fact he used to train other hairdressers when he was in Mexico. I can count on him to know what he does as I always leave that chair looking fabulous no matter the cost. Parking is always free and close by, no dealing with pesky meters or strict by permit parking places only. One thing I would advise anyone PRIOR to booking a hair appointment with Jessy is to call him NOT text him and he is CASH ONLY as of yet so come prepared. Otherwise there are 4 different banks in the vicinity where to withdraw from when necessary. I was told there would be no men at the time of my cut. I cannot show my hair to men for religious reasons and they had reassured me that no men are booked Monday mornings but one walked in mid cut and i was livid. They were very nice and were able to take me in when I called 1 day prior for an appnt for a wash and blow out, I had Brittney and she rushed through my entire service, I asked her for some curls and she half did the curls, I basically had to go home and redo my entire curls on my hair. I would try this place again but definetely a different person. Very disappointed, she had me in and out in 30 min and charged me $45, which they said it starts at $35 and my hair isn't even that long at all, it's medium length at best. read more
