By far the best service I could have ever asked for, we came in shortly before closing and went to order to go so as not to make them wait to close but they insisted we sit and enjoy our meal and even encouraged us to take our time as they finished closing. The food was INCREDIBLE! Everything was perfectly seasoned and the flavor was out of this world! I'll be back again soon!!! read more

Husband picked this place up for dinner this week. I had the Chicken & Beef Kabob Plate, which comes with a massive piece of thick, fresh pita bread, a small portion of hummus, a good amount of rice, a side salad, and garlic sauce. This was really good. loved the chicken! It was juicy and seasoned well. The beef had good flavor but was pretty tough, I had to cut all the pieces with a knife in order to eat them. The pita was fantastic, as were the hummus and garlic sauce. Husband got their Gyro Greek Fries, which was a let down. The lamb was very tender and tasty, but the fries were old and cold, and they were covered in RAW slices of green bell peppers and thick chunks of cold cucumbers. Odd combo. It looked NOTHING like the picture on their website. He thought maybe since he went there about 45 minutes prior to closing that they just threw it together and gave him old fries. I personally don't care how close it was to closing time, it was gross and I can't believe they served it to him like that. Are the peppers supposed to be raw? Should the cucumbers be sliced thinner and have some sort of dressing? I don't know. It was not appetizing at all. I've been here few times before and all the foods here are prepared fresh and made to order. This time we tried the burger and it was one of the best burgers in the area. The patty was juicy and flavorful. The cheese although was just Swiss tasted like no other Swiss we had before. The only negative would be the kabobs at times are dry but still delicious. Definitely coming back here for their chicken and beef plate! Don't know why I never noticed this place, but it is located next to where House of Chimney ice cream and Okayama Bakery is. Their portions are pretty huge, but if you're hungry you can definitely finish it all. Their chicken and beef were very delicious and not dry at all. Highly recommend ordering their baklava too. Space is pretty limited and parking can be hard during lunch time. read more

Hummus Bean is a great option for takeout or a quick lunch or dinner. Everyone that works here is friendly and always efficient with the order taking and bringing out the food. Love the chicken kebab plate here and enjoy the hummus. The chicken always tastes freshly grilled and comes out hot. I was not planning on stopping although I scored a parking space in front and it looked good. The employees are super nice. Restaurant is very clean and bright. I tried the gyro plate and it was disappointing. First of all I will start withe good. The rice and salad were very good. Now for the bad. Pita was hard and not warm. The Gyro meat was also cold and very dry. Maybe it was an off night or maybe this is the standard i dont know. All I know is that was my first and last time in. read more

My friend and I were deciding where to ear and decided to try out this place. We went in ordered our food and drinks and went to sit outside.I got the a cucumber and mint drink, maybe because it was towards the end of the day, but it tasted like pickles. Then the cashier came outside to give everyone their napkins and utensils. He starts talking to me, but completely ignored my friend, I noticed he wasn't talking with the other tables like how he did with me. I just felt wildly uncomfortable with it, we got our food, which was good. I got the kabob wrap with the salad. He came out about two more times. The first time he talks to only me after helping another customer. Then the second time he doesn't talk to me, but my friend told me he was staring at me for 5 whole seconds. At that point I just couldn't be there anymore. Great food but employee really creeped me out. read more

The food is always consistently amazing. The meat is juicy and tender, even their chicken ! The staff here are also super friendly. The portion is generous, I can usually split my plate between me and another friend. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I love coming here because of the outdoor ambiance. I typically make a stop here about once a week cause it's just that damn good. I really appreciate how down to earth and sweet the owner is. Every single time he sees my dog, he always stops to pet him. Today as we were passing by, he told me to wait so he can bring my dog some grilled meat. read more

This place was bookmarked for awhile ever since I moved to this area and I finally got to try it and i liked it! I ordered chicken kabab pita wrap with fries on the side and it was really filling. It is great to have a variety of food coming to Center street. Mediterranean food is one of my favorites and this place did not disappoint. I had a single plate and my wife and I easily shared it. The hummus was delicious, the gyro was tasty with the tzatziki and garlic sauce. I will definitely be adding this place to my weekly restaurant list: Pour Vida Punjabi Tandoor Hummos and Pita Colony Wine Merchant K&A Café Center Street is definitely under appreciated and hopefully the addition of places like this will help build some traffic. read more

Right away, the gentleman helping us was unbelievably kind, welcoming, and hospitable. It genuinely felt like showing up at your auntie's house where everyone is determined to feed you and make sure you're taken care of. That vibe carried through the entire meal. We started with the hummus with meat and a side of fresh veggies. The pita, cucumbers, and tomatoes came out so fast and tasted incredibly fresh. The hummus was honestly some of the best I've had -- super creamy, flavorful, and perfect with the veggies and pita. Then he brought out a salad and casually told us his grandma had just made it in the back and that the dressing was a secret recipe. It looked simple, but wow. You could taste the fresh lemon juice, cracked pepper, and how fresh all the vegetables were. One of those salads that sounds basic but somehow ends up being one of the most memorable things on the table. A few minutes later he brought out what he called the "falafel messy style," which was falafel topped with sauce and diced tomatoes. Also absolutely delicious. At that point we were already getting full before our actual entrées even arrived. My cousin ordered the shrimp skewer plate with rice and green beans, and I ordered the 3-skewer combination with chicken, beef, and lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was so flavorful and well-seasoned, and my chicken, beef, and lamb were all juicy, tender, and clearly marinated really well. The roasted vegetables were amazing too. My only tiny complaint is that I wish I'd gotten more roasted tomatoes because they were so good. By the end of the meal we could barely finish anything because they had already spoiled us with so much food beforehand. Then he brought baklava to the table too, which was the perfect ending. During dinner he told us the restaurant is family owned and operated -- his dad was cooking in the kitchen, his grandma was back there making dishes, and they're opening another location in Temecula. Sitting there, all I could think was: why does this place not have a line out the door? Only one other party came in while we were there, and honestly it made me sad because this is the kind of place everyone should experience. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and the hospitality was next level. Also worth mentioning: the bathroom was immaculately clean and smelled amazing. The whole restaurant was spotless, actually. It's accessible, easy to navigate, relaxed, and just an overall great environment. This place deserves to be packed. We'll absolutely be back.

However the chicken was really dry and didn't feel like there was enough sauce/cheese, ended up putting some garlic sauce on top and it made it a little better. We also ordered the combination platter which came with lamb Kofte, beef/chicken kebab and two sides. We chose hummus and salad as the two sides and it paired well with the plate. The beef was a little dry but the Kofte and chicken were pretty good. They also served us two flatbreads which was nice for wrapping the meat and dipping in hummus. The hummus tasted very fresh and clean with delicate flavors, wish it had a little more tart. Side salad was simple and fresh with olive oil and lemon juice. The Kebbah was piping hot but didn't have much flavor, think it needed some sort of sauce. Overall, the ingredients tasted very fresh and minimalistic but definitely can do with a bit more seasoning or sauce for flavor. Service was friendly and not overly attentive. The servers didn't offer any water or drinks. Almost every table had tea so we flagged down someone to place an order after ordering our meal. There was a little mishap with our order but the owner came over to the table and cleared up the misunderstanding and asked us if we needed anything. Didn't seem like they had a lot of staff for such a busy morning. The space felt very clean and very lively with the lunch rush.
