He explained everything we were ordering, made great suggestions, and took care of our every need -- basically a menu tour guide and food therapist all in one. That said, food is outstanding. Service was also perfection. Cuisine here is from Syria so there a lot of interesting dishes I haven't seen before. We started with deep fried spring rolls stuffed with akkawi cheese imported from Syria. Expensive but order it. I ordered the "khashkhash" kabob plate which was 4 grilled kefta kabobs served on a surprisingly spicy sauce of tomatoes and Aleppo peppers. It was served with a mound of buttery rice sprinkled with Aleppo peppers and a cabbage salad. Honestly the best kabops I've ever had. Absolutely loved the flavors. I devoured the whole plate while eyeing the parking lot across the street for tow trucks. Portion could easily be shared. My wife went with the Gyro flatbread. I scoffed saying "this isn't a Greek restaurant" but the joke was on me because I was envious. House made flat bread topped with gyro, tzatziki, pickled onions, tomatoes, feta, sumac, and Aleppo peppers. I took a few bites and retracted my previous scoff. They had a large list of mocktails. I had the Vimto Mojito and my wife had the margarita. Both creative and flavorful. Lastly I tried the "Ashta" for dessert. It's an Aleppo signature per the menu and is a pudding like dessert of clotted cream, pistachio, strawberries, and honey. It's simple yet satisfying. Took me a few bites to acquire the flavor but I loved it more with each bite. My wife didn't care for it. They moved by Angel Stadium from their Brookhurst spot. Great place except the parking. Reservations are odd too. $25 penalty PER PERSON if you miss your reservation. It was definitely motivation to find parking.

We tried this restaurant one day while visiting the Muzeo museum across the street. My entire group was in love with the food from that moment. The food is all made super fresh and tastes great. I don't know what spices they sprinkle on their french fries, but it takes them to a new level. Simple shoe-string type fries, but they also taste awesome. My only issue would be drink choices. You can choose from a very small selection of canned/bottled drinks or a couple different vegetable/fruit waters they have in large jugs. I'm not fond at all of the two mint flavored waters they have, but their pineapple water is ok....a bit weak, but ok. Their watermelon water is the best. But I would much rather see a standard soda fountain there to get drinks as opposed to just these waters. If they had that option for drinks, it would get 5 stars. We've been back there almost a dozen times in the past year. Food remains top quality and super delicious. I highly recommend this place. read more

Having had lunch about 2 weeks ago I would have to say a bit pricey and semi authentic. Ordered a year ago and it should have been delicious but with all that lettuce and they're way too much of what was supposed to be you could barely taste the meat. And my friend had ordered salmon look delicious it was a bit dry overcooked late on the bed of rice surf like a spoonful of hummus and about four slices of pita, side green salad drenched and a very sweet sour vinaigrette the one meal with one sandwich one drink came to $42 for lunch. Ouch! Parking is free if you validate and you get about two hours, but it's very limited. Noise level get high, inside and outside seating cold and a bit uncomfortable on shaky tables and umbrellas to shade from the sun... Good atmosphere overall, if price is not in question?! Restroom you need a code and it's in the parking garage. Inconvenient for tge most part plus the homeless use it. Give them a try and make your own opinion. Happy yelping! read more

I was here before the pandemic and was excited to show my friends the place. we were putting three tables together by ourselves ( instead of telling the owner to do that ) to accomodate 7 of us, and we were told in the stern voice by the owner to " calm down" ( pardon me for being excited to be at your establishment !) +... it is never good for the owner to patronize the patrons, right? food was served in to-go boxes at the tables, and when I asked for paper plates, I was told no, and we had to cut to-go boxes in halves to use as plates.. no water glasses and had to buy bottle water... I won't come back here ... we should have left there after being admonished and walked to the pizza place 4 doors down ... too bad there is no choice of no star . have to give one star as the minimum. should be no star or negative five star ... read more

This was my second visit to Hummus Bean. I was impressed with my 1st experience. Tonight I placed an online order, like I did the time before. I received a confirmation email with my pickup time. When I arrived they said they hadn't received the order but they were having issues with their online system. I worked a 14 hour day and was extremely hungry. The workers immediately started my order and apologized for the inconvenience. Usually the story would end here... An apology followed by nothing. But this experience was different. The apology was followed by sincere customer service with a desire to go above and beyond, which is so rare these days. Hummus Bean just earned a customer for life. Thankfully they are finally open after a very long wait. All of us neighborhood residents were waiting in anticipation for the day that we would have find Mediterranean food right outside of our door. It was certainly not a disappointment and well worth the wait. We did go on one of the opening nights so there are a few kinks which need to be ironed out customer service wise but the food was some of the best Mediterranean I have ever had. The hummus and pita, excellent, the falafel wrap over the top delicious, the gyro equally as delicious.... The fries were also very good however a tad a salty. Overall no real complaints and I will certainly go back again and again and again! read more

I recently had lunch at Lazeez Eats in Anaheim, and overall, it was a good experience. The food was really good -- fresh, flavorful, and clearly made to order. I ordered one of their burger combos, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The portion size was satisfying, and everything was well-seasoned. The service was standard -- nothing exceptional, but the staff was polite and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. He told us we had to come try his sister's restaurant, the Shawarma queen. Best Shwarma I've had. 10 out of 10. The beef Shawarma was so flavorful and tender. We added the spicy sauce on it. It was the best thing ever. The customer service is phenomenal. The whole interaction and eating here was the cherry on top for our trip to Orange County. I went at 12:40 am on a Saturday night, and the parking lot was very full and the plaza was very lively. This is an operation outside of a restaurant with music blasting, but it seems like you can eat inside the restaurant if you order dine in. There's no menu, but the person taking the order patiently explained what they offered and the prices (chicken sandwich $12 chicken sandwich combo $17 beef schwarma $13 beef schwarma combo $18). They take both cash and card, but I think they charge a 50 cents card fee because I saw him input 18.50 into his phone before charging me. (Total came out to a little under $20 after tax) The cook was very friendly, and told me my order came with a free soda - I had trouble understanding what sodas he said they carried, but I heard him say tide zero so I chose that thinking it was a foreign soda, but turns out it was just a diet Pepsi lol. I took a beef schwarma combo to go, and the fries held up really well on the ride home and nicely salted. The order came with two cups of toum, one cup half mayo and half ketchup, and something that I think is a spicy sriracha mayo. The beef schwarma was solid, and something I'd gladly order again. (I think he said it was a mix of beef and lamb?) Food was great, service was friendly, it's a little pricey but I think you're getting good value on this meal. I thought I would end up finishing the meal in one sitting but got full after half the schwarma, so it's nice this is a meal you can split into two. Just a couple miles away from Disney, this is a great spot to get some quick quality food that doesn't taste like fast food at all. Once you pull up, you can already see the food cooking out front, with a couple of friendly dude hustling to get the orders out. We had a choice between getting the shawarma wrap by itself or in a combo plate with fries, and we definitely had to try their fries. The chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the fries were thin and crispy how I like. They had a nice array of sauces, one was like a spicy mayo and the other was like a sweet spicy sriracha. I'm so glad we found this hidden gem and we'll for sure be back - definitely check this spot out!
