    Blueberry cardamom vegan lassi
    Noel W.

I was recently craving Indian food and a lassi. As far as I know Lassi and Spice is the only restaurant nearby that offers vegan lassis, and they are SO DELICIOUS. In the past I tried the blueberry cardamom one (highly recommend!), but this time I wanted to try another flavor. I was in luck, since their seasonal lassis right now is jackfruit, which I love. It was so refreshing! I also ordered the non-vegan samosas with a mixed green salad topped with a turmeric dressing, and it came with two pieces of flatbread. The folks behind the counter were nice and courteous, and the food was brought out pretty quickly. Everything was really tasty and had great flavors and textures. The cafe is welcoming with a modern and bright atmosphere. It was also really clean and tidy. I like that there was a convenient sections for flatware, water, and bussing your dishes that were routinely taken care of.

The samosa was okay, the chai was grey. It should be brownish orange not grey. The nostalgia of samosa and chai during rain was there in the ambience and the service was pretty much standard. I wouldn't come here for an evening chai though.

The ginger chai tea with oat milk is absolutely delicious here! I got takeout on a Sunday afternoon with my pup in his stroller. Note that they only allow service animals, but I missed the sign since I had my eyes set on grabbing a quick drink..and went in with my stroller (that had my senior dog in it) I was able to order and pay and thankfully one of the nice ladies in the cafe offered to bring my drink while I waited outside. She even put tape on the drink lid because she knew I'd be walking around. 5 stars because she was really sweet about it! Next time I have my pup, I'll bring my husband so he can stay outside with Pablo. I look forward to trying their lassis and other items!

    Vada Pav

My rating: 2.5/5!!! I was so excited when my friend told me that Lassi & Spice in Seattle has the Mumbai classic - Vada Pav!! I ordered their Vada Pav sliders through DoorDash app. The Service didn't take too long to make the sliders but may be, the delivery through the app did. There were 3 small sliders. By the time I got my order, the pav became very soggy. The Vada Pav was so blah in taste. Being a Mumbaikar, if you're going to sell a Vada Pav under the label as "Mumbai Classic" I can't help but be a harsh critic if the dish lacked the authentic flavor. It was more like potato pattie with no other spices and ingredients like garlic, ginger, cumin and chili. Only reason I gave 2.5 rating is because the green, tamarind and peanuts garlic dry chutney was good and added that extra kick! I was highly disappointed.

Loved the food and the service was great. Highly recommend the jackfruit lassi - get it while you can cuz it's seasonal!

I had Lassi & Spice a few years ago as takeout, during the pandemic, and recalled the food being quite delicious and with good portions. I came back again to redeem some Grubhub credits for the month and ordered the Vada Pav, Hawaiian buns with potato patty, and I opted to get all 3 chutneys inside: peanut garlic, green, and tamarind. The portions are okay for the price, but the food is a bit disappointing. The potatoes are not cooked all the way and there is still potato skin, and they are not that flavorful. The chutneys are very skimped, but they used the tamarind chutney the most which dominated the other 2 chutneys. Food came out quick, but the quality is definitely not what I remembered.

Decent spot for light snacks and drinks! Indian drinks like lassi and haldi dood! You can make any lassi vegan for $1 No parking. Limited seating. Quick service. No samples. Cute ambiance

I live really close and decided to give it a try on a Saturday at 5 PM. When I walked in all the tables had people sitting, but there were some bar seats, so it was nice to see that it was reasonably popular! The place is order at a counter, then bus your own dishes if you choose to eat in store. I went up to the counter to order, and noticed quite a few things on the menu were out of stock. No issue for me, and I ordered a samosa chaat and a blueberry cardamom lassi. My lassi came out first and quite quickly, and it was quite good! The blueberry flavor was quite mild which was good since the overall drink was not overly sweet. I'll definitely be back to try the pistachio and mango flavors! My samosa chaat also came out maybe 10 minutes later, really well packed as I asked for it to-go. It was warm, and when I first started eating it all the crunchy parts were still crunchy suggesting it was freshly put together! It tasted as expected, and I had no issues with it. I'll definitely be back to try other items!

My office is near this place and I thought I'd try it out. They have simple yet inclusive menu. Everything looked good. I got sambar and rice. It tastes good for sure but the quantity for the price is way too low. I wouldn't recommend this place based on their super high prices. Will get my food from chipotle rather. The staff is nice. There is not designated parking so you would have to find street parking which could be tricky at this location. The place is cutely decorated though! Response to the business's reply: the portion size I got was 1/3 of what I get at chipotle. I guess your definition of generous portion is different from a lot of us.

Vada pav and Pav bhaji was bland in taste. I wish it had more flavors like authentic ones. Thankfully they provided chili's with vada pav which helped in getting a spice kick. No comments on service or ambiance as this was a to go order.

Super cool concept for good grab and go spot for mango lassi and other Indian bites. The mango lassi was good but could have been better. They have a lot of food options that I wasn't able to try but I'd come back!

This place has fast-casual Indian street food that is very cheap & your food is served very quickly. The restaurant has enough seating for you to enjoy your food there, or you can take it to go. I'd recommend the vada pav, rose lassi & gulab jamun!

One member of the group is vegetarian, hence a reason why we ended up going to a vegetarian restaurant for our first meal during our trip. Blossom Vegetarian is located on the southwest corner of 3rd and Burnett. We came in three cars, and the lot immediately in front of the restaurant can only hold about a dozen cars. The adjacent lot has more spots, but all three of us were able to find spots easily when we arrived. That's likely because we had arrived a few minutes prior to opening, so the door was locked when I tried to open it. Right at 11 AM, an employee came out with a signicade to place in front of the front door. Shortly afterwards, we entered and sat at a table for 8, which I found kind of odd because they had tables of 4 and 8, but not 6. Our table had a sign advertising a limited time special, which was Hanoi Beef Fried Rice at the time*. However, we were interested in the lunch specials, which were available weekdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. Knowing that our schedule wouldn't have allowed for a lunch special any other time during our trip, we went for lunch specials, which mainly consists of rice combos. Rice combos at Blossom Cafe come with rice, either jasmine or brown, the latter of which would incur a $1 upcharge. The combo also includes an option for a juice or coffee, and if you choose either, you get $1 off. With plenty of rice combos to choose from, two of them chose the same lunch combo while the rest of us went with different lunch combos, but shared family-style with one another. I chose the Blossom Rice Combo, which consists of shredded "pork", tofu pie, "beef" skewer, and vegetables alongside a lime vinaigrette dressing. I'm not too certain of the other combos, but I do know that the Cashew Chicken was another combo, and that's because one of my groupmates heard it was their most popular dish. Since I prefer brown rice over white (jasmine) rice, I opted for the $1 upcharge for the brown rice. Between the coffee and the juice, I went with a coffee since I was needing some after a long morning of traveling. They have four choices of Vietnamese Coffee: Cheese Cafe, Cafe Latte, Dalgona Cafe, and Cafe Sua. I went with the Cafe Latte, which consists of both condensed and whole milk. The coffee drinks can come either hot or iced. For whatever reason, everybody else ordered the iced drinks, but I went with hot knowing I'd have to brave the pretty chilly weather outside. It took about 13 minutes for the kitchen to prepare our orders, and then we feasted! The coffee was ready about a minute before the main dishes arrived. Everything tasted good, but I wouldn't say great, though that's probably because I'm not vegetarian. However, rest assured that all their meats aren't real meat, and this is indicated by the use of quotation marks encompassing the meat names. You can definitely tell these meats are truly vegetarian, though it took a few bites for me to discern the vegetarianism of the "beef" skewer. The brown rice tasted kind of odd. I don't quite know how to describe it, but it was way different than the brown rice I'm used to e.g. Flame Broiler. The rice tasted pretty meh by itself, but exhibited a much more elevated flavor profile after adding the lime vinaigrette, which I'm thinking was actually a fish sauce. But that Cafe Latte was smoooooooooooth. Just what I needed after not getting enough z's the previous evening. Since I ordered mine hot, my coffee came in a mug while the others who ordered iced coffee got theirs in a wine glass. These coffees supplemented the glasses of water we were given when we placed our orders. Service, unfortunately, was quite slow, so exercise patience! We were the first customers to eat there, and there were a few others who came in after we did. We stayed there for over an hour even though I think we could have gotten in and out in much less time. They didn't really check on us even though there were very few other customers inside as well; I guess we were supposed to proactively go up to the counter to let them know when we were ready to order as well as pay. 2026 calendars were available for purchase at a cost of $20, cash only. I don't know how many people would constitute a "large" party, but we were considered one, which resulted in an 18% gratuity fee that was already added to our individual bills. One of our groupmates, who was fluent in Vietnamese, needed to let the server know prior to paying. So overall, Blossom Vegetarian is a decent spot for vegetarians; I just wouldn't recommend for a quick lunch break since service is nowhere near as quick. * My visit was back in November. I waited until January to post this review as I took a brief hiatus from posting reviews upon traveling to the Pacific Northwest.

From that first dish, we knew that this fresh, foraged menu was going to be something different. The rest of the night was one knockout showcase of seasonal farm to table masterpieces to the next. The entire presentation was delivered by attentive wait staff putting on what felt more like a well-rehearsed play with each act starting with a wickedly creative, hand-crafted drink pairing (non alcoholic for us, but you can get wine, cider, or a cocktail) before each course. The whole vibe isn't pretentious or bourgeois; it's grateful. Everyone there including the chefs know there isn't anything like this in the city, much less the state. It was one of the more pleasant restaurant guest audiences I've ever been around too. It felt like all the nice people in the city decided to meet, so this 5-star review is for our fellow diners too. The only thing missing was a moment for the chefs to take a bow at the end, but instead they sneaked out the door, off to wherever superfoodie heroes go after a night of saving palates. #salute.

My sister enjoys their mimosas and I was curious about the "My name is Earl... Grey". Good choice - dangerously so. Smooth, flavorful, well balanced. Only a light perfume of Earl Grey. We shared our entrees: the harissa carrot hummus tartine and the roasted potato and scallion waffle. (Side note: we indicated our intention to the server, who thoughtfully brought extra plates so we could do that). The tartine was delicious. Just the right amount of spread on a thick slice of sourdough. It wasn't spicy at all; the sweetness of the carrots tempered the heat. A light sprinkle of romanesco and little cubes of feta finished it off. The waffle was a surprise. Crispy, savory, a whisper of sweetness, topped with a dollop of scallion butter. Unique and very flavorful. The homemade biscuit was large and easily shareable. The cappuccinos had a good, rich aroma. A double shot is the standard serving and had sufficient flavor and kick. There were so many interesting things in the menu, making it difficult to decide. I'll just have to come back.
