We ordered mochi beignets, corn tomato tofu scramble, and the Italian black bean burger. The mochi beignets came after 15 minutes of ordering. This was very much just okay. The beignets were so deep fried that it was tough to bite into, losing any mochi texture. It tasted more like the breading of a corn dog. It took another 30 MINUTES for our main food to come out after the beignets. All the tables that had sat and ordered after us had already received their food. I kept making eye contact with a bunch of servers and were just ignored. No one came to check or update until much later when someone collected the plate and said our food would be out "soon". Once the food did come, it was good. The breakfast potatoes and yam fries were the best part. The black bean patty kinda fell apart after a few bites. Arugula overpowered a lot of the flavor. Every time I'm here, I fall in love with this place! I'm not a big vegetarian person but the way that they create these meals forget you're eating vegetarian food. Most veg spots use fake meat but not here. They take advantages of fresh vegetables, spices and cooking techniques. The menu's descriptions are hard to imagine and simple. But don't let that fool you. Every time a dish comes out, my mind is blown because I could never imagine this is what it was going to look like. Now the service. Probably the best service in Seattle. Everyone is genuinely happy to be there. This says a lot and it makes me believe -- I hope -- they're treated well. The ambiance is beautiful. I've only sat indoors and in the garden area. Always love this spot for brunch! They are great about allergies so I can always safely eat and bring friends with allergies here too. The options are also amazing and well labeled and customizable. The service was good and the ambiance was lovely as always. We got to sit in my favorite area which is like a little indoor patio with a fountain and skylight. The only slight bummer was the spider that had taken up residence (and maybe died?) on the fountain next to us and left a few cobwebs on our table behind. I've heard great things about Cafe Flora so decided to check it out with a friend. Starting with the good, the interior was super well decorated, it felt fun and whimsical. I got the southern platter, which was pretty flavorful. I did wish that there was more gravy for the amount of biscuit, especially bc the biscuit was a bit hard/dry (I had trouble cutting into one of them with a knife). The greens were quite salty. We also got the seasonal earl grey cheesecake, which came 30 min after we already finished our meals. It was pretty disappointing to see the plating after waiting for so long. Really cute place for vegetarian food! Lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Lovely floral decor. They have a seasonal part of their menu as well as things that stay on year round. We got the burrata which was really delicious, the potato scallion pancake which was packed with flavor and also a nice crispy texture, and the zucchini ravioli which was also pretty good, probably the least flavorful thing we had but still well prepared. Service was very nice, friendly, and accommodating even though we were there close to closing time. Would definitely recommend for vegetarians in the area! read more

As a vegetarian, I was really excited to try Café Flora after hearing so many great things about it. Overall, I'd rate it 4 stars because, while the experience was good, the food didn't quite live up to the hype for me. I tried the Southern Platter with the rosemary biscuits, and I found it to be a bit dry and not as flavorful as I was expecting. On the other hand, the Vitamin C Kombucha was great. Our group ordered a variety of dishes, and the general consensus was that everything was decent but nothing really stood out. That said, I've heard so many positive reviews from friends that I'm willing to give Café Flora another chance and try some of their other menu items. One thing I really appreciated was that they accept reservations for larger groups. Ambiance is good, line is annoyingly long and service is slow (constantly waiting to order, get a water refill, get the bill, etc) If you're vegan/vegetarian, it's a great place to try diet-friendly versions of baked goods and other classics (biscuits & gravy, Caesar salad). Ive heard about this place for years - it's my parents go-to cafe when they're in the city. And rightly so. Beautiful interior with a unique menu. Service enhances the gracious vibe. My sister and I dropped by spontaneously for weekend brunch (à Saturday korning around 9:30). There was a bit of a cluster of people waiting for tables, but they were larger groups and we were seated after about 10 minutes. We ordered cocktails while pursuing the menu. My sister enjoys their mimosas and I was curious about the "My name is Earl... Grey". Good choice - dangerously so. Smooth, flavorful, well balanced. Only a light perfume of Earl Grey. We shared our entrees: the harissa carrot hummus tartine and the roasted potato and scallion waffle. (Side note: we indicated our intention to the server, who thoughtfully brought extra plates so we could do that). The tartine was delicious. Just the right amount of spread on a thick slice of sourdough. It wasn't spicy at all; the sweetness of the carrots tempered the heat. A light sprinkle of romanesco and little cubes of feta finished it off. The waffle was a surprise. Crispy, savory, a whisper of sweetness, topped with a dollop of scallion butter. Unique and very flavorful. The homemade biscuit was large and easily shareable. The cappuccinos had a good, rich aroma. A double shot is the standard serving and had sufficient flavor and kick. They heavily leaned into taking this as far away from any aspect of sweetness as possible by layering in herbs, butter, and a fantastic crema to go with those crispy boi fritters. But the most fantastic dish by far isn't shown below. It's the coconut cake. An absolute must order if you come to Cafe Flora. This cake is the epitome of decadence, and each bite will have you wondering if it's the best slice of cake you've had in your life. Eating this masterpiece is a life experience itself, and can't be compared to other foods. I imagine it's similar to how people feel after looking at their first born child. I always hit up Floret at the airport so when my friend said she was going to be in the Madison Park area on a Friday, I knew just the place to grab some breakfast. The restaurant is adorable and so many options to choose from for breakfast/lunch. We both got iced oat milk mochas and the Rancho Colorado Scramble with breakfast potatoes. Cooked perfectly, not too big of a portion and reasonably priced for Seattle. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Flora has won my heart time and time again, through my belly! From the moment you walk through the doors, you'll be greeted by a hostess who will whisk you away to either the main dining room or the atrium which is my favorite place to be. You'll be surrounded by large windows and greenery. To me, the large space feels much smaller and more intimate. Food: you won't find a large selection, but a variety of greens, starters, and mains that all complement one another. My risotto was super rich and creamy with the squash adding a hint of sweetness. The salad complemented my meal by adding another texture of crunch and coldness. My husband enjoyed the Portobello Wellington, but it was too heavy to finish it all. It was still delightful the next day. Drinks are always unique and made with ingredients that make you take smaller sips to capture all its depth. I enjoyed Ten Trees, and hubby had a chocolate pistachio matcha latte. We took the coconut cake topped with blackberry sauce to go. The texture of cake wasn't light and fluffy, but more firm and crumbly. Still very good! I enjoy the entire experience of Cafe Flora and try something new each time. How many people go to a different gate in the airport, just to have a meal? A friend, knowing I am a vegetarian, had suggested going to Cafe Flora while we were in SEA. We thankfully had a little wait before our flight, so took advantage of it. Ordered the tofu sandwich with garlic sweet potato fries, and the mushroom au jus with regular sweet potato fries. Both dishes were yummy, something we would order again. My husband, an omnivore, said that the tofu in his sandwich had a satisfying texture. The au jus sandwich held together well, even when dipped. The flavors melded together perfectly. We would choose both our dishes again! Sorry, no pics. We got to work on those dishes right away! 1 star off bc the service could have been more attentive. This is in my opinion THE place for vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free fine dining. My brother and I took my dad there to celebrate his 83rd birthday last night. The starters are a must (brussel sprouts, focaccia bread, and the kale artichoke dip), the cocktails on point (the rosemary lemon drop and the ten trees are delicate and still our go to choices), and their portobello wellington is their classic go-to entree (but the portion is smaller now with only one wedge vs two or even the whole thing years ago). My dad is a meat eater and devoured the Shimeji mushrooms and nettle pesto risotto. The pizzas are ten inches and perfect for one person; I usually wouldn't order a pizza unless it's at a pizza establishment as there are so many other options, but we all shared the asparagus pizza and if you are there you should too. Street parking is easily found in the neighborhood, the service is always attentive and friendly, the plating beautiful, the cocktails served in delicate glassware, and never too noisy. read more

Cafe Flora has been on my 'to eat' list as I absolutely love their cafe in SeaTac and I had such a great experience this evening!! It is a spacious restaurant with such cute, floral decor. I made a reservation for two as they were running their limited time afternoon tea series. Shout out to our sever, Ardent! He was such a joy to talk with and so very accommodating - his service was above and beyond and really helped make our meal as special as it was. We had their standard fare but they had the options for a vegan/gluten free option for those that need. I wish there was a more 50/50 balance of savory and sweet but it's afternoon tea and I know that the sweets typically dominate. We loved everything that was served and it was explained that everything was made in house (at their other restaurant location though) and that always source the local, seasonal ingredients. I wish they included multiple teas with the tasting; you're limited to one per person unless you pay for more. But I do understand that the tea they're sourcing from (Portal Tea in Portland!) is high quality, which we could definitely tell as we were drinking it. I did appreciate that they gave us little timers to ensure that we were steeping all of the teas properly, not too long or not too short, in order to maximize the flavor and tea experience. 10/10 would come again! For my main, the Matcha Belgian Waffle was insanely delicious--soft, flavorful, and so satisfying. But the showstoppers? Came here on mother's day expecting huge wait times but at 1pm it was only 15 mins. That went well! We had both gluten free and dairy free in our group so plenty of options that could work for everyone! The Belgian waffles was great and the eggs Florentine and beignets delicious. It has a beautiful ambiance (garden-like setting), genuinely kind service, and incredibly creative vegetarian dishes that impresses me quite a bit. Although it is a vegetarian restaurant, it has egg in some dishes too. It is a perfect spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner. For drinks, we tried their "Golden Milk" which is coconut milk with turmeric, black pepper among others, as well as a lovely, decorated cappuccino. For main course, we ordered their "Peach and Burrata Sandwich" and their "Portello Mushroom French Dip". Both were delicious. But the best part of all is the side of "Yam Fries" which comes with the meal. Dipping these healthy fries in their heavenly aioli (sauce) is heavenly. I came into this restaurant apprehensive of vegetarian food but came out with a different perspective. I walked in as a skeptic of vegetarian food and left genuinely impressed. This is specifically a review for their spring tea service. Overall it's really really cute and the vibes are cute, however as for the food it was mid and the service was really nice and friendly but It was really slow. You have to make a reservation online in advance and you put a deposit (which is refunded at time of your reservation). However we didn't get any of our tea snacks until 40 minutes after we sat down, which I don't get bc you preorder your menu online when you make the reservation (you choose be the vegan menu or regular). But also aren't all of these things pre prepared, I don't get why it took so long isn't it just the time to put it on the platters? I even tried to wave them down to ask what was going on but found it a little difficult to wave them down. The tea did come out pretty quick after they asked us to order (each person gets to order their own tea pot) but ya we were hungry and the tea was not enough to hold us. Overall the teas were good but we all did not like the strawberry and I actually could not drink it and had to ask for another tea cup bc I couldn't even drink it to clean my cup . Overall for the treats, I thought all the sweet treats were too sweet and not very good. The chocolate was really rich but lil too much for me, I didn't like the meringue but I also never do, honestly I finished nothing on the top level. We were hoping to try out a new place and had this one on our list for vegan restaurants in the area. We went in on a Saturday evening and were easily able to find a table for 4. We got a couple of drinks and a lot of food. We tried the Flora focaccia, warm kale artichoke dip, zucchini & roasted garlic arancini, pear & brocollini pizza and Yakima valley polenta. We also tried the mango passion fruit nog and the watermelon basil shrub. The food was decent, though a bit bland. It seemed like there was a heavy reliance on cheese and oil to add flavor.
