Are you looking to impress that special vegetarian in your life? Take them to Cafe Flora! They will be blown away by the ambiance and decor of this boujee Madison Park eatery before they even glance at the menu. But what can you expect as a meat eater, you ask? Certainly not meat, but I can guarantee that you will be satiated by the creativity and flavor of the meat-adjacent dishes. The Portabello Wellington is a whimsical twist on the classic Gordon Ramsey specialty. I like to think that he would appreciate the artistic liberties that have been used here, instead of berating the chef. It's almost like a highly elevated hot pocket on a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes. Would order again. The savory waffle was the most intriguing dish by far. They heavily leaned into taking this as far away from any aspect of sweetness as possible by layering in herbs, butter, and a fantastic crema to go with those crispy boi fritters. But the most fantastic dish by far isn't shown below. It's the coconut cake. An absolute must order if you come to Cafe Flora. This cake is the epitome of decadence, and each bite will have you wondering if it's the best slice of cake you've had in your life. Eating this masterpiece is a life experience itself, and can't be compared to other foods. I imagine it's similar to how people feel after looking at their first born child. I implore my fellow carnivores to walk through the doors of Cafe Flora with an open mind. Prepare your palate for an evening without meat, but for a culinary journey that is full of surprises.

Whether it's brunch or lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Café Flora. As a vegan, it's hard to find establishments that offer a wide variety of vegan options that are not just diverse, but also delicious. thankfully Café Flora delivers on all of the above. cute restaurant, great to go to for a date night. They have some items on their menus that you can always count on and they also incorporate some new ones. one of my favorites are their desserts. if you ca, you must try them for brunch. they offer vegetarian and vegan options so there are a lot more offerings for those who eat eggs.

This continues to be my favorite restaurant in Seattle. Came here to tell you to try the croissant bread pudding. Biscuits and gravy and rancho Colorado scramble both great, as always!

How many people go to a different gate in the airport, just to have a meal? A friend, knowing I am a vegetarian, had suggested going to Cafe Flora while we were in SEA. We thankfully had a little wait before our flight, so took advantage of it. Ordered the tofu sandwich with garlic sweet potato fries, and the mushroom au jus with regular sweet potato fries. Both dishes were yummy, something we would order again. My husband, an omnivore, said that the tofu in his sandwich had a satisfying texture. The au jus sandwich held together well, even when dipped. The flavors melded together perfectly. We would choose both our dishes again! Sorry, no pics. We got to work on those dishes right away! 1 star off bc the service could have been more attentive. Maybe they need more help, or possibly additional training. Stopped by the grab and go next door afterwards. Fun little market, and delectable looking pastries. The cashier said that they have the best coffee in the area. We will need to save room for that next time!

Hands down one of the best spots in Seattle! While their menu is delicious any time of day, their brunch/breakfast is another level! Every time the service is top notch, their vibes are immaculate (hello covered patio), and the food and coffee hit.

Cafe Flora has been on my 'to eat' list as I absolutely love their cafe in SeaTac and I had such a great experience this evening!! It is a spacious restaurant with such cute, floral decor. I made a reservation for two as they were running their limited time afternoon tea series. Shout out to our sever, Ardent! He was such a joy to talk with and so very accommodating - his service was above and beyond and really helped make our meal as special as it was. We had their standard fare but they had the options for a vegan/gluten free option for those that need. I wish there was a more 50/50 balance of savory and sweet but it's afternoon tea and I know that the sweets typically dominate. We loved everything that was served and it was explained that everything was made in house (at their other restaurant location though) and that always source the local, seasonal ingredients. I wish they included multiple teas with the tasting; you're limited to one per person unless you pay for more. But I do understand that the tea they're sourcing from (Portal Tea in Portland!) is high quality, which we could definitely tell as we were drinking it. I did appreciate that they gave us little timers to ensure that we were steeping all of the teas properly, not too long or not too short, in order to maximize the flavor and tea experience. 10/10 would come again! I heard they also do a fall tea and a winter holiday tea so I'm looking forward to their next event. Thank you Cafe Flora!!

Great spot for vegetarians! Walked in with a party of 10 and waited about 30 min. The biscuits and mushroom gravy were definitely my fave and the most flavorful. Sweet potato fries were delish as well, but leafy greens were a little bland. The dark chocolate pistachio matcha had great flavor but way too many chunks to get through while drinking. Inside space is beautiful and staff was exceptional.

I absolutely loved trying this cafe! Plenty of free street parking. MANY gluten free options. Yay! Service was good. Our server was friendly and helpful. Loved the interiors! Highly recommend the beetroot tartine. So flavorful and delish! I got the pistachio date cake to go and it was okay - not as amazing as I imagined it. Nonetheless, I'm definitely coming back :D

Flora has won my heart time and time again, through my belly! From the moment you walk through the doors, you'll be greeted by a hostess who will whisk you away to either the main dining room or the atrium which is my favorite place to be. You'll be surrounded by large windows and greenery. To me, the large space feels much smaller and more intimate. Food: you won't find a large selection, but a variety of greens, starters, and mains that all complement one another. My risotto was super rich and creamy with the squash adding a hint of sweetness. The salad complemented my meal by adding another texture of crunch and coldness. My husband enjoyed the Portobello Wellington, but it was too heavy to finish it all. It was still delightful the next day. Drinks are always unique and made with ingredients that make you take smaller sips to capture all its depth. I enjoyed Ten Trees, and hubby had a chocolate pistachio matcha latte. We took the coconut cake topped with blackberry sauce to go. The texture of cake wasn't light and fluffy, but more firm and crumbly. Still very good! I enjoy the entire experience of Cafe Flora and try something new each time. They rotate their menu often, which makes the 45 minute drive worth it.

We met up here as a little larger of a group for book club and had a fantastic time. The waffle changed my life honestly. The beignets were delicious. The service was good despite how busy they were and how large a group we were. The ambiance was lovely in the little greenhouse room with the fountain. I love going here because they can accommodate my many dietary restrictions (and my friends') just with what they have on the menu and I still somehow have like 5 choices. LOVE LOVE LOVE this spot and come here regularly.

We went here for dinner last night with our daughter Madison. The risotto was delish (and vegan) and while the portobello Wellington was not vegan, we had one bite! Whoa. Alas, richard and I are vegan. Richard had the (vegan) crispy chickpea panisse. You must combine everything on the plate in each bite. Fabulous combo. Ended with a pumpkin nog... good but quite heavy as you might imagine. Today we went back for lunch. Hands down the portobello French dip was the best!! Had a mushroom broth for dunking!!!

A lovely spot for brunch! Loved the interior - we were seated in the atrium, which was airy and bright. We got there in the late afternoon on a weekend and only had to wait 15 minutes. I got the frittata which was soft and cheesy, and I loved the squash blossoms that were baked into it. The yam fries were also great - perfect crispiness with an addicting aioli. Service was a bit slow, but the cafe was packed to the brim, so very understandable. Our waiter was super friendly and we had a nice chat! Parking was easy in the area.

    Pranav K.

Came here on mother's day expecting huge wait times but at 1pm it was only 15 mins. That went well! We had both gluten free and dairy free in our group so plenty of options that could work for everyone! The Belgian waffles was great and the eggs Florentine and beignets delicious. The burger IMHO was the standout with the sweet potato fries. The service was very slow and sometimes not very interested it felt like - could be because of the proximity to closing service time or short staffed.

Is the outdoor patio warm? I made reservations for 5:45 and it's been very cold out.

It's warm in certain spots thanks to space heaters but also chilly if not sitting directly under one. We had to request to move indoors

    Do they accept reservations?

    Unfortunately they do not

Does anyone know if the tent being used for outdoor dining is fully enclosed or not? Hoping that at least one (preferably two) side is completely open.

It ended up being so tasty that I came here twice within a few days. The first visit, I got veggie tempura appetizer and chirashi rice bowl. A bit on the pricier side, I still wanted to give it a try. The veggie tempura are actually not separate pieces of vegetables in tempura, but kakiage (shredded veggies fried together) - still pretty good though. The chirashi rice bowl was fantastic - beautiful presentation as the fish came on the side, pretty fresh, and I appreciated the small details, like the wasabi stem inside the scallop and the shiso leaf/sprouts that accompanied the dish. The service was fantastic as well, considering I had a table for one during lunch hour. My second visit I was on the go, so I got the Classic sushi burrito, which again was maybe a little pricier than I would like, but it was worth it. Rice, fish/poke, crab mix, cucumber, avocado - it all mixed nicely wrapped within the rice paper outside, and was convenient to eat for takeout. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you're around the area and feel like treating yourself to more than a soup/salad/sandwich...

I am so grateful for my experience at Life On Mars. It turned out to be the highlight of a…read moretumultuous Seattle trip and I look back on it fondly. We came here mostly for one thing: I absolutely could not wait for their gluten-free vegan chick'n pot pie. A pie i'd been waiting months to try. A pie unlike any other pie. A pie that I still think about to this day. We walked straight into a Cardi B drag show. And by "walked into" I mean we opened the door and Hot Pink Shade sashayed right in front of us. It was exactly the kind of welcome we love. It was also the first green flag in a sea of green flags at Life On Mars. I could barely sit still as I waited to order my GF/VG pot pie. We got the drinks outta the way (a peach hard cider for me and a fancy-schmancy cocktail for the lady). I was positively GIDDY when Anna came to take our order and I blurted out chick'n pot pie excitedly. I nearly died when she said they didn't have any. Normally it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but I was from out of town and had literally been craving this damn pie for months! And I lied, I didn't nearly die but I DID nearly cry and that's almost as bad. Even the bestie lamented about what a let down this was. Anna. Dear, sweet Anna. We must have looked really hard up because this sweet baby angel offered to ask the cooks if they could whip one up special just for me. Let me tell you why this is a big deal: For one, she didn't need to do that. That's going above and beyond, and she was such a graceful little buttercup when she did it. Second, making a gluten free biscuit is a finicky, precise, detailed process. It sucks, honestly, and I don't blame them for not having them every day. I nearly cried when she came back and told us the cooks said YES. And this time i'm not lying. It was beyond the type of customer service i'm used to. It was.... humane. It was...empathetic. It was...totally first world problems but it meant so much to me! Especially since Anna said it had been a DAY and she was at her wits end. For her to have a rough day and still have the grace and compassion to make my stupid GF/VG chick'n pot pie dreams come true.....well, yeah, it made me a bit teary eyed. The pot pie was delicious, as expected. It was nostalgic and comforting, like a big hug in a bowl. The flavors were rich and deep, the biscuit soft and flaky; it was one of the most delicious things i've tasted on my GF/VEG journey. Between the food, the drinks, the customer service and the drag show......this was five stars all around. No doubt. I don't see the GF chick'n pot pie on their menu anymore. Maybe it's a seasonal thing? I hope it comes back, i'll be checking. And when it pops up again, so will I. Thank you, Anna. Thank you to the cooks on 2/19/26. Thank you to Hot Pink Shade, ISIS and King Leo Mane. Just, thank you.

I went here on a Friday dinner, right after the dinner / pre-theater rush, as this place is right next to Paramount Theatre. I got the chicken schnitzel and the Practical Magic cocktail.
