Had a great meal here! I ordered the Tandoori Platter and was honestly surprised by how much food it was. The meat was fantastic and the sauce was really good as well. Really hit the spot. I will definitely be coming back here!

Located on the west side of Lake Union, this place offers a wide variety of Indian dishes. While the popular dish is the butter chicken, I've had butter chicken at numerous occasions so I decided to get the Mother Indian Tandoori Platter and it was fairly huge portions - enough for 2 decent meals. From the menu, this dish has Lamb Boti Kebab, Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Prawn, and Lamb Keema Kebab. I liked the lamb keema kebab (it's like the Mediterranean kofta) and chicken tikka the most, and I liked the lamb boti kebab the least since it was super tough. The rice is a little clumpy but otherwise flavorful and generous portions. Some parts of the tandoori are a little burnt but it can be hard to have zero burnt since it's on a grill, no biggie. I did online ordering and used their code for 10% off. The wait times are pretty accurate (20 min) so I waited a minimal amount as I timed the online ordering close to how long it takes for me to walk there. Overall, decent Indian spot and I'd be down to try the usual butter chicken here at some point.

What a pleasant surprise!! The ambiance is casual, making it a comfortable spot for a relaxed meal. I ordered the aloo tiki, their buttery specialty, and palak paneer. All the dishes tasted wonderfully authentic, but the aloo tiki stood out -- flavorful, perfectly spiced, and absolutely worth recommending. The staff were amazing: super friendly, attentive, and impressively quick with service. A great find for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors in the neighborhood.

Great food, fast service, can't go wrong. Great chai and shahi paneer. Way too much rice for a single dish but I ate it anyway.

The food will hit the Indian spot big time! They don't have any lunch specials which was a little disappointing, and although they don't seem to use the best ingredients the food is still good. Mainly the biggest let down was the cleanliness beyond the main seating area. You will smell it and see what I'm talking about when you use the potty room.

We ordered the butter chicken, hariyali chicken, and a side of garlic naan as a meal. The butter chicken came with a generous portion of rice on the side as well. The butter chicken had tender cubes of chicken with a rich, decadent tomato based sauce. It was perfect with rice and garlic naan. Really I'd wanna put this curry on everything because of how delicious it was. Additionally the hariyali chicken was a delightful tangy chicken dish with a creamy herby sauce on top. This chicken was also very tender as it didn't require too much effort to cut through the pieces. This dish also comes plated with biryani rice which is a nice additional hit of flavor. One garlic naan order comes as one giant piece cut into 4 pieces. Not the most garlicky naan I've had but it had great crisp and chew which made for a great vessel for lopping up some more sauce. The space is small and they don't have their own parking lot. But across the street has plenty of parking with free parking after 4pm.

The currys were piping hot and delicious. I've struggled to find great butter masala in Seattle, and taste of India's hit the mark! Not pictured, but their naans are huge. My husband and I each ordered naan, and the amount of rice, curry, and naan was the perfect amount for a full serving of leftovers. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary samosa appetizers and chocolate torte dessert. Ultimately this place is fantastic and we look forward to coming back- would love to come on a summer evening and sit outside on their patio.

so, this place is pretty clearly, and almost objectively so, made exclusively for westerners…read more what i mean by that is that this place serves Indian food that will not attempt to challenge western palettes in any way - rather its goal is to have people walking out with a mildly positive attitude towards the food. if someone were to ask them how the food was, they will say that it's fine and say that indian food is an underrated cuisine. the first indication of this that caught my eye was on the menu, where it was listed that "all spice levels are American standard". The fact that this is on the menu at an *Indian restaurant* is pretty ridiculous, in my opinion. I'll get to the spice levels later The second indication was when the waiter brought out our naan, and said "Here's your naan bread". I almost laughed out loud at this point. Naan bread? Thank god we didn't order chai or he would've said "Here's your chai tea". when we actually got our food, it was as disappointing as I expected Despite the fact that I ordered the 'Hot' spice level (the second highest), this had utterly no spice at all. I know that I have a high spice tolerance, but you know it's not good when other people at my table who have a low tolerance cannot taste any spice whatsoever. I've had hotter dishes ordering the 'Hot' level at American restaurants! In addition to there not being any spice, there was pretty much no flavor at all to the curries. There was just no point to the gravy on both the Jaipuri "Masala" and the Vegetable Kofta, as it both cases it was quite bland and essentially tasted like nothing. The paneer and the kofta were ok - but nothing more than average. Again, the lack of any kind of flavor is just crazy. Our table also got the Biryani, which had decent vegetables but also suffered from a lack of flavor The roti and garlic naan that we got were really hard and difficult to break apart. not very good at all If you're Indian - do not come here - you'll get far better Indian food either a) at home or b) at another place If you're not Indian - I would highly recommend trying another place to actually get a taste of what Indian food is really like. This watered-down version simply isn't it. I would recommend Saffron Grill in Northgate for an example of Indian food done correctly on the positive side, one thing i appreciated about this menu is the customization available for different curries this is especially helpful when it relates to giving options to vegetarians, as it doesn't restrict people who are vegetarian to specific curry options having paneer, vegetables, and tofu options available for each curry is pretty good i also thought the spinach naan was pretty good. out of all the bread we ordered, it was the only naan that managed to be soft, and easy to pull apart the spinach inside tasted pretty good as well the complimentary samosas (although clearly reheated from frozen) and sweet at the end was a decent touch the portion sizes were also decent - the amount of rice that came with the curry was pretty significant

We were really hungry and decided to join them as I've had this spot saved too as the reviews were pretty positive. They were definitely very popular but we were put on the waitlist but I think it would be helpful if they took peoples' numbers as apparently they would just shout it outside. We weren't aware as we went somewhere else to wait as it was very cold. When we arrived, a different employee started cleaning a table for us and we waited but then the employee who did put us down was frustrated with us as he called us and no one of us answered cause we were elsewhere. We weren't sure if we had a spot after that but luckily the employee who was cleaning was done and offered that spot. They also did drop a glass cup after cleaning nearby which was concerning but they did clean it up right away. Once we were seated, it took almost a half an hour to get some to take our order. Luckily we did get our water refilled decently but there were a few times where our empty glasses were seen and ignored. I definitely think there should be staff training as it was non-existent. I understand being busy but you're across the convention center so it should be expected. The music was also so low I didn't know it was even on, they have a loud fan going on and even their TVs have no volume. It's a pretty awkward ambiance, especially with how they try to look like they are a upscale restaurant. It did take some time to get food and it seems like the kitchen was frustrated too as I heard the bell signaling food being ready several times. The food was actually good, especially for the price. The portions are generous. We never had paratha but our friend recommended it so we got the aloo paratha while my boyfriend got their butter masala and I got their tikka masala extra hot. It wasn't really spicy at all, definitely nothing like what I've had at other Indian restaurants. The curries were flavorful with good pieces of chicken. We might return if we need something nearby but there are definitely better options that I would walk for.
