Breakfast Tacos -- Veggie
Pratima M.

A really fun spot to watch UT football games -- I'm not even an alum, but had a great time with friends who are. They worked with the UT Austin alumni group, Puget Sound Tex Exes, to open the space extra early for the big UT-OU rivalry game. With kickoff at 9AM, they had a line out the door at 8AM. It's a real gathering hub and they even have Shiner on tap for a true taste of Texas! The food here is pretty solid Tex-Mex as well, the chips and salsa were delicious and the staff even gave us a guac on the house. The breakfast tacos were delicious and the chile con queso was DELICIOUS. A great gameday atmosphere, I'd go back for the food too!

$19 Carne Asada Fries, uneaten

So bummed I chose this place for Mexican food: The pictures say it all. None of these "dishes" were eaten at all, this is literally what we paid $60 for and it went straight into the trash. Carne asada = Gristle? Where is the sear even? This is not skirt nor flank steak, yet you're paying like it is. The beans had an extremely bitter aftertaste, like they were dipped in chemicals. Not to mention the ridiculous portions. I'm a person that never leaves bad reviews and eats just about anything, but this was by far the worst I've ever had. I had high hopes because the pictures of the food looked good, and the restaurant inside was a nice vibe.

I first ate here several years ago and had fond memories of sitting on the outside deck. When I returned for dinner this time there were very few patrons, which was nice there was no wait. Al pastor street tacos were as good as I remembered, and I like their preparation style of using small chunks of pineapple. One of the daily specials was crispy beef tacos - they were just ok and I wasn't overly impressed with the flavor, menu said they included avocado but it didn't. The beans were lightly seasoned and just tasted like pinto. Service was fast and food came out quickly. I'd consider returning again but likely just stick with al pastor. Tip: there's very limited street parking but the QFC parking garage is within reasonable walking distance.

First time coming to Laredo's Grill around 8pm and they were decently busy on a Wednesday night. Got seated right away though which was nice. Once checked in to Yelp, I got a coupon for free Chile Queso and Chips and the Queso is AMAZING!! Definitely filled me up before the actual meal. I did order the Carne Asada Fries and they were huge for being listed under the appetizers but they were probably the best thing on the menu that I could've ordered. The fries were waffle cut which made them even more amazing My friend ordered the carnitas entree and the carnitas were honestly so flavorful it made me want to order a plate to go.

$6 happy hour nachos and $12 scratch marg

Pros - friendly staff, great service, good food and drinks, classic Mexican restaurant spot. Fabulous happy hour - nachos for $6! Cons - atmosphere is ok, but always seems a bit squished/crowded when I go. Also, quite expensive for what it is. Then again, everywhere is expensive in Seattle these days. Overall, I'd recommend. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

Great place for some Tex Mex in lower Queen Anne. The staff are friendly and the place is nice. The menu has a variety of option and we opted for the brunch menu on Sunday. They have bottomless mimosa as well! The brunch options tasted great and definitely will check out again. Covid precautions are in place and vaccination required for indoor seating.

Nachos (I did forget to take a picture until they were a bit eaten)

More like 3.5 but rounding up! Me and my friends went for cinco de mayo and the ambiance was great. Not sure if it is always this lively or if the holiday brought everyone in, but there were so many people in there drinking and having a good time. The nachos were really good! Definitely add the carne asada onto it, it was really well seasoned and super tender. Also, I love how they layered their refried beans on the bottom layer of the nachos. The service was good. It was super busy and loud in there for Cinco de mayo so I think mistakes are bound to happen. First, one of our drink orders was wrong. But, our server corrected it immediately and we were able to keep the wrong drink. Then, we didn't get our chips and queso dip. And the server didn't come over until we were done eating the nachos so, there was no time really to request the chips and queso be brought over. Our server was super nice about it once we were able to let her know and offered them to us free of charge. Based on this, I think the service is pretty good and they seem like they care about customer satisfaction. Again, I think it was just busy and loud so mistakes happen.

Margaritas - classic and avocado

Had happy hour tacos, guac classic & avocado margarita. Tacos were so delicious but if you take HH they are very small. My fav was fish taco and beef ( it melted on tongue) chicken taco was ok. Avocado margaritas was yummy too. Guac not recommend $7.99 and tasted very bland. Only good was chips and sauces. Service slow but I want to come back for delicious tacos. We paid for 2 margaritas, guac and 6 HH tacos $50 with tip. Good deal

Chips and salsa, shrimp tacos, house salad, and brisket chimichanga

Had a reservation on a Friday night. Didn't seem too packed but steadily busy while we were there. Server was friendly, but we didn't see much of them and had to wait for a while to continue ordering / get our bill. The food portions were all quite large. My chimichanga had more rice inside than anything, so I messily opened it up and tried to get out the meat to eat with the veggies I had. My friend said his tacos were "alright, but rubbery." Wouldn't rush back here but wasn't a terrible experience.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday around 5 pm and it was pretty crowded, but no wait. There was a UT football game on. The ambiance was loud and it was hard to talk. We ordered chips and salsa, nachos, and a fajita quesadilla. Everything was just ok. Most of the chips were broken into small pieces. Green salsa was good though. Service was fine. Street parking.

BEST chips and salsa! Service is always great and they have outdoor tables, so you can enjoy the sun when it is actually out!

The table also has two glass bottles of water for refilling as needed which I always appreciate. We started with the Bone Marrow and Queso Fundido and both were delicious. 10/10, no notes. I typically don't like Queso Fundido because it gets so greasy and the cheese hardens fast but this was flavorful, spreadable and the chorizo was a nice compliment not the main event. The Bone Marrow was exactly what you'd expect! So yummy. For our mains we got the Buenos Aires Torta (actually the reason we came to try Asadero) and the shrimp tacos. The bread for the Torta was flavorful and perfectly toasted. The steak was delicious and the chimichurri was so good I just wish there was more! My husband got the tacos and he said they were also very good! After we finished eating we were offered peppermint tea (complimentary) which was another really unexpected and unique touch/experience! The service from everyone was great. Very friendly. Quick service. The establishment was clean and so cozy but also upscale in a very chill way. Bathrooms were clean and smelled good with cute decor. It's not a huge place but I think that's what allows for such an attentive experience. From start to finish we really enjoyed ourselves and will absolutely be back with friends or family!

From the moment we walked in, the young man who greeted us made us feel welcome. He was so gracious to seat us inside a large table so that we could fit comfortably with the stroller next to us. My daughter had asked to sit outside because "he might cry, we don't want to disturb anyone". The young man immediately said "not at all! we love babies here and the inside isn't full yet, come on in and get comfortable". Our server was the same; warm, friendly and attentive. From there, we had the full menu, the happy hour menu, and the Restaurant Week menu to choose from and they all included incredible options that were so reasonably priced. Happy Hour included the Romaine Salad which was delicious, the dressing was creamy and the pumpkin seeds added crunch. The brussel sprouts were delicious; perfectly cooked and the flavor was insane! The carnitas tacos were also great and priced at $7 for 3 minis. The guacamole came with three salsas and a bowl of chips. All good! We also ordered the chile relleno with carnitas. Unlike anything I've ever eaten before! The chile relleno is filled with rice, beans, cheese and options of chicken, carnitas or picadillo. They come dressed with tortilla chips and with a sauce to dip them in on the plate. Try these! The cocktails menu is extensive - wines, beers, 3 different sangrias, multiple margaritas. All creative and with top notch spirits. The vibes are fun, low key, not stuffy. Playing 90's R&B and Hip Hop and the décor is beautiful; large lanterns and chandeliers throughout the restaurant. Stop in, you will love it!

The main restaurant dining space is a good size and feels comfortable, but the downstairs cantina is much smaller and can get overly crowded. We came for the Illegal tasting event and it was a great time, but the cantina got packed really quickly and I don't think they managed the small space very well for that kind of event. The food here is always good and the portion sizes are great. I almost always end up bringing leftovers home, and a lot of the dishes work really well for sharing. I also love their happy hour menu. It's perfect if you're just going by yourself or want something smaller without committing to a full dinner. They also have a great bar with lots of drink options, and they make really good margaritas. Overall it's a fun place to go, just expect the cantina to get crowded when there's an event or when it's busy.
