BEST chips and salsa! Service is always great and they have outdoor tables, so you can enjoy the sun when it is actually out!

This place would be great if they would simply TURN DOWN THE MUSIC. It may sound like I'm screaming and shaking my fists from my front lawn, but I love live music and going to clubs, dancing, etc... this isn't a party bar. It's a neighborhood spot with good food and great location. There is never a large crowd and it's impossible to hear whomever you're with talk over the ridiculous music. I've had friends complain of the same... I've got a work event coming up that I'd love to have here, but the simple music issue makes it impossible to do that. It's silly and unnecessary. read more

I love Laredo's been coming here for years! Love the avocado margaritas! Also a great happy hour, lively, ambience great service and the food is excellent! They have continuity in the kitchen that extends back to when they first opened. If you're looking for Tex Max in Seattle, this is really one of the top spots for me. read more

Pathetic place. We came here on Saturday 8/1 for dinner. We ordered gluten free for my son. I mentioned to the server 2-3 times to make sure to use corn tortilla and gluten free quesadilla since he has gluten allergies. But she brought it in a wheat tortilla and confirmed. My son threw up several times. This place should be shutdown. A completely incompetent server and shitty food. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Service was extremely slow. Only one wait person on a busy Tuesday night. Bartender helped out but it appears from the reviews that the service is spotty and the restaurant is consistently understaffed. Food was ok. Fish tacos good but chicken quesadillas blah. read more

We came on Cinco De Mayo and of course there was live music blaring so loudly you could not hear a thing, lol. Chill Vibes inside. The Skinny Jalapeño Margarita ($10) was light and refreshing with a kick, and the steak enchilada plate ($18.50) was nice - BF noted the sauce on top being very marinara - like. Cool staff. read more

A really fun spot to watch UT football games -- I'm not even an alum, but had a great time with friends who are. They worked with the UT Austin alumni group, Puget Sound Tex Exes, to open the space extra early for the big UT-OU rivalry game. With kickoff at 9AM, they had a line out the door at 8AM. It's a real gathering hub and they even have Shiner on tap for a true taste of Texas! The food here is pretty solid Tex-Mex as well, the chips and salsa were delicious and the staff even gave us a guac on the house. The breakfast tacos were delicious and the chile con queso was DELICIOUS. A great gameday atmosphere, I'd go back for the food too! read more

It was about 10pm on a Saturday night and a friend and I were looking for a late spot to dine in the area. Laredo's popped up in our search as closing at midnight; however, we learned upon arrival that they actually close at 11pm. No problem, just a quick meal. We arrived and there were two other parties eating dinner so the ambiance was sleepy and sports played on every TV. My friend orders her drink and asks for a shot of a specific brand of liquor and immediately notices the taste is off, only to learn (after a little back and forth with our waitress) that they don't actually have the liquor my friend requested and instead use something similar-- a little weird but I don't blame our waitress because she clearly didn't know and she quickly made it right by taking it off the bill. Just a learning opportunity for the waitstaff to have a better understanding of the bar. For food, I started with the Texas Brisket Chili and will DEFINITELY be returning to have it again. It was flavorful, spicy, and made in the proper Texas way: without beans. Absolute star of the show though next time I'd ask for cheese on top. For my entree, I had the Habanero Shrimp enchiladas and was a bit disappointed that the habanero cream sauce wasn't spicy at all, so the dish was a bit boring flavor-wise. My friend had a half order of the nachos with chicken tinga and found pros (the chicken tinga and its flavor) and cons (refried beans were very wet and there wasn't enough cheese overall). We both felt that, perhaps due to the proximity to closing time, this food preparation may not have been up to their usual standard. Around 10:45pm, a show let out from Climate Pledge Arena down the street and this place was swarmed with revelers looking for a late night snack and beverage. Employees appeared to be super overwhelmed and curtly telling customers the kitchen was closed and I saw a few feel uncomfortable and leave. Kind of a bummer to witness, though I'm sure these lost dollars are a regular occurrence given their conflicting closing times on search platforms. Overall, I'd try Laredo's again but not so close to closing time and maybe just for takeout. read more

So bummed I chose this place for Mexican food: The pictures say it all. None of these "dishes" were eaten at all, this is literally what we paid $60 for and it went straight into the trash. Carne asada = Gristle? Where is the sear even? This is not skirt nor flank steak, yet you're paying like it is. The beans had an extremely bitter aftertaste, like they were dipped in chemicals. Not to mention the ridiculous portions. I'm a person that never leaves bad reviews and eats just about anything, but this was by far the worst I've ever had. I had high hopes because the pictures of the food looked good, and the restaurant inside was a nice vibe. read more

First time coming to Laredo's Grill around 8pm and they were decently busy on a Wednesday night. Got seated right away though which was nice. Once checked in to Yelp, I got a coupon for free Chile Queso and Chips and the Queso is AMAZING!! Definitely filled me up before the actual meal. I did order the Carne Asada Fries and they were huge for being listed under the appetizers but they were probably the best thing on the menu that I could've ordered. The fries were waffle cut which made them even more amazing My friend ordered the carnitas entree and the carnitas were honestly so flavorful it made me want to order a plate to go. read more

Pros - friendly staff, great service, good food and drinks, classic Mexican restaurant spot. Fabulous happy hour - nachos for $6! Cons - atmosphere is ok, but always seems a bit squished/crowded when I go. Also, quite expensive for what it is. Then again, everywhere is expensive in Seattle these days. Overall, I'd recommend. Definitely deserves 5 stars. read more

Great place for some Tex Mex in lower Queen Anne. The staff are friendly and the place is nice. The menu has a variety of option and we opted for the brunch menu on Sunday. I first ate here several years ago and had fond memories of sitting on the outside deck. When I returned for dinner this time there were very few patrons, which was nice there was no wait. Al pastor street tacos were as good as I remembered, and I like their preparation style of using small chunks of pineapple. One of the daily specials was crispy beef tacos - they were just ok and I wasn't overly impressed with the flavor, menu said they included avocado but it didn't. The beans were lightly seasoned and just tasted like pinto. Service was fast and food came out quickly. I'd consider returning again but likely just stick with al pastor. Tip: there's very limited street parking but the QFC parking garage is within reasonable walking distance. read more

Was in town for the week. Had dinner here twice. First time, great in every way! Second time, great in all but one way. Our waitress was rude, impatient and rushed (I doubt there were more than 10 people there). We're pretty good about blowing off people like this, but she was pretty bad. Didn't catch her name, slender with long blonde hair and a yellow ball cap. We'll go back again, but if it looks like she's going to be our server, well turn and leave and just try another time. Everything else - really great! read more

I am not sure if the restaurant had an off night but we didn't have a great experience. One positive was the queso was amazing. Super spicy and homemade. We ordered three margaritas and I am not sure if there was actually any tequila in them. They were pre mixed in bar as they were not on the rocks. So maybe it was the bottom or something? The food with the exception of the queso came out cold and didn't taste very good. The service was marginal. I had empathy for the server as they were understaffed. read more

Been here a few times and don't really have any complaints - it is just a solid spot for some Mexican food. I like to come here for a nice brunch as well. Had happy hour tacos, guac classic & avocado margarita. Tacos were so delicious but if you take HH they are very small. My fav was fish taco and beef ( it melted on tongue) chicken taco was ok. Avocado margaritas was yummy too. Guac not recommend $7.99 and tasted very bland. Only good was chips and sauces. Service slow but I want to come back for delicious tacos. We paid for 2 margaritas, guac and 6 HH tacos $50 with tip. Good deal read more

More like 3.5 but rounding up! Me and my friends went for cinco de mayo and the ambiance was great. Not sure if it is always this lively or if the holiday brought everyone in, but there were so many people in there drinking and having a good time. The nachos were really good! Definitely add the carne asada onto it, it was really well seasoned and super tender. Also, I love how they layered their refried beans on the bottom layer of the nachos. The service was good. It was super busy and loud in there for Cinco de mayo so I think mistakes are bound to happen. First, one of our drink orders was wrong. But, our server corrected it immediately and we were able to keep the wrong drink. Then, we didn't get our chips and queso dip. And the server didn't come over until we were done eating the nachos so, there was no time really to request the chips and queso be brought over. Our server was super nice about it once we were able to let her know and offered them to us free of charge. Based on this, I think the service is pretty good and they seem like they care about customer satisfaction. Again, I think it was just busy and loud so mistakes happen. read more

came here before a concert. i ordered the steak fajitas. the food was good but should have come with one more tortilla for the amount of steak and toppings it came with. it did come out fast and hot which was great. i ordered a margarita on the rocks, it was fine but not one of the best i've had. read more

Drinks were okay. Food was subpar. Tacos were disappointing, salsa was meh, and tortilla soup was nothing special. The carne asada fries were the one redeeming item- basically waffle fries covered in cheese, beans, steak, creama, and guac - how can you go wrong. Overall we were hoping for more of a vibe, but it was pretty slow on a Saturday evening with both a husky and kraken game going on! On the plus side there was tons of seats open at the bar. Had a reservation on a Friday night. Didn't seem too packed but steadily busy while we were there. Server was friendly, but we didn't see much of them and had to wait for a while to continue ordering / get our bill. The food portions were all quite large. My chimichanga had more rice inside than anything, so I messily opened it up and tried to get out the meat to eat with the veggies I had. My friend said his tacos were "alright, but rubbery." We went to Laredo's for cinco de mayo recently. I'll start by saying that the food was amazing! I got the carne asada and it was extremely good, best I've had in the city. The guacamole was also fantastic! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Our waitress also handled the large number of us well and was quite prompt with anything we needed. Prices were reasonable. The only part that I did not like was the hostess. While the restaurant was busy, she was extremely rude and off putting. We asked to seat more than originally anticipated and said we were ok with waiting longer if needed, and the response we got was an eye roll and a are you serious? Was not very welcoming. Otherwise, we had a great time and will be back!! read more

Food was pretty good! Our poor waitress, Shannon, was horrible. I don't know if she was having a bad day or just had a chip on her shoulder but she was awful. Took forever to get her attention, seemed forced to try and smile and I swear I saw her roll her eyes at us. Had to try to get her attention to get our needs met and she seemed annoyed. Also, we had to PAY for chips and salsa?? Maybe it's a Seattle thing but but just wow. read more

Came here for dinner on a Saturday around 5 pm and it was pretty crowded, but no wait. There was a UT football game on. The ambiance was loud and it was hard to talk. I just can't stand it! I loved it here with atmosphere and people made it welcome two times in two weeks! I know I went back and was blown away! After my work peeps came here I just wanted to share it with my family! It was sunny two night, no wait both times! The food was great! They have specials and the drinks are just sooo tasty! I know the ppl i was with the first time are thinking why a favor star! Our waitress was fluttered, but I will mention she forgot multiple things in less than an hour! (Water, drinks, black beans on my plate, food allergies, napkins, and more). But everything made up for it! We were heading to citizen, and don't serve food past 3pm in Sunday's and I am NOT getting fast food like they recommended, I got Laredos! It was perfect before the long night of dancing and drinking. If your looking for a dope set up, sun (sit on the outside balcony) and want some tasty food and drinks, here it is! WOW this place is great. Came here to meet some work friends for dinner and drinks and I can't believe I haven't been here before. My friend had raved about the avocado margaritas for a while and I'm always trying to find them around town (the ones here are delicious but I would like a stronger avocado flavor). All things considered, I was really impressed by the extensive food + drink list. We all got a round of sangrias too and they were delicious. I ordered fajitas for my meal and got the steak and shrimp option. It arrived sizzling, with a generous side of rice, beans, sour cream, and salad plus flour tortillas. Everything was so good and flavorful! My friends liked what they ordered too (some kind of enchilada and the blackened fish tacos). Service was attentive and friendly; there was no issue splitting the bill three ways. I would come back time and time again! read more

So we ordered Laredos for takeout, we didn't dine in, so not sure on service other than it being picked up. The food was done on time and was nice and hot still by the time we got back to our room. I got carnitas and al pastor tacos. Effing phenomenal. The tacos were packed w meat and the carnitas were juicy as heck. The rice and beans we bomb. My bf got an enchilada and he said it was amazing. Buuutttt..... I also ordered pozole. It was not it.... classic pozole needs chopped onions, radishes, Oaxaca cheese and cilantro add ins. Not dried seasonings. The soup itself was very underwhelming. We couldn't finish it. Other than that, delish. And next time we are in Seattle, we will for sure go back. read more

Found a couple happy hour gems. Every day 4-6 pm, tacos, nachos, dips and a mini chimichanga are $4-$6. Wine and champagne glass for $5 and a tecate can for $3. Wish they had more drink specials. For $4 I had 3 pastor tacos that filled me up. Pastor was tender and juicy with a savory taste. My friend had 3 steak/carnitas tacos for $6. The steak was a bit more tender with a mild sweet taste. Folks next to me got the half nachos for $6 and the $4 salad and both looked very filling. Will have to try both those dishes on my next adventure. Also will be back for a regular meal. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I got my food within 3 minutes of ordering and had to order a second round. Ambience is your typical bar with 5-6 TVs throughout. I've dined in before and thought the food was pretty good. Decided on take out this time. Ordered fajitas to go and the tortillas were missing. Disappointing. Even more disappointing was the churros. This was our first time here. I ordered the house margarita which was perfect, I ordered the steak deluxe enchilada. It was very flavorful. It came with the sour cream and gauc and picco. I checked into yelp and got a conplamentary chili con queso. It was delicious. My son ordered a cheese quesadilla and it was huge. He enjoyed it and it came with pickled jalapeños. My other son got shrimp tacos. The herb butter paired very well with the red sauce and crème on the top. The truck stop dinner was pure Tex mex - tasty brisket chili on cheese enchilada. I can confirm what most of the reviews say. The portions here are tiny, the prices are predatory and the meat is bursting with juicy flavor. Nothing is cheaper than Mexican food. Rice, beans and salsa all cost pennies. Do why is a child size plate being passed off as a meal being sold for $25. If you read my review, you know I typically go into detail, but this place was such a waste, I'll just say, AVOID IT! Anyplace that will shake you down for a Lincoln and a Jackson for rice and beans and you walk away hungry should shut down. read more

This is a mixed bag. I want to start off by acknowledging the place was busy and our server was fast and efficient. A couple of things we didn't anticipate were: - Being told all coupons and promos were no longer being accepted despite the Yelp check in still offering a free Chile con queso. We know that's not the server's fault but the management should honor it until they take it down because that's a failure on their part to set the right expectations, and just take it off Yelp. - We both ordered iced tea and when I took a sip noticed instantly it was fruity. We were never warned ahead the tea was fruity or tropical. I have certain fruit allergies and had to ask what was in this tea, we confirmed this tea wasn't safe for me to drink and our server admitting having no idea the tea was fruity at all, then continued he just grabs it from the bar and serves it. (I have a feeling someone might try to counter argue I should have asked first, but we didn't order fruity tea and we're not told it was fruity, we expect the staff to know what they are serving). I tried to get coffee but they'd apparently ran out and our server tried to explain their shipment intervals. The rest of this gets pretty subjective. The queso and chorizo were okay. It did come out hot which is great, but the flavor was a little odd. The pollo laredo had a flavor that's really hard to describe but was only okay. The carne asada was heavily seasoned (which is usually just fine) but again the flavor profile was unlike anything we'd had before and it wasn't appealing. There was almost a torch taste flavor which was surprising, I don't know what their cooking methods were. It's possible there are others who do enjoy the flavors and the food here, but it's the first time I couldn't just power through the flavor and eat the carne asada. We left a lot of food on the table. The only saving grace really was the speed and attitude of our server even with the bumps (one being related to allergies from them not disclosing/knowing what they're serving) described earlier. It's not for us, and that's okay. This might work for some. read more

I came here because I was looking for the best cheese queso in town. Laredos was at the top of a list I saw so that made me want to try. And to our surprise he actually remembered us the conversation picked up right where It left. the food was amazing the drinks were even better . Now we just got to Seattle tonight and we went too eat. We have a son now who's almost 2 months old and of course Judas was super kind.
