If you know me, you know I have a thing for great whiskey, a traditional old fashioned, and a large ice cube. The Whisky Bar had an ample amount of all three. We stopped by after a Professional Women's Hockey League game and were duly impressed by the selection. They even had some Blue Spot, an Irish Whiskey that's typically hard to find in the Pacific Northwest. The bartender was entertaining, quick, and an excellent mixologist. We will absolutely come by again the next time we're in town.

We stopped by for a quick lunch before heading to the Moore. Standard bar ambiance. The bartender was super friendly and service was quick. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was good. Reminded me of being a kid. Hubby got the grilled turkey sandwich and that came with fries. I love me some fresh cut fries and hubby is not a fry fan so that was a win for me. Prices were reasonable and food was delicious. Solid choice for lunch.

Great service, the staff were wonderful for a big group, we got a fried chicken sandwich and it was definitely late night food type stuff.

Very okay bar. Extensive whiskey selection, but kind of slow (in business and in service) even for a Friday night. Not a bad experience, but not necessarily in any hurry to return. My boyfriend's a big whiskey fan, which is why we popped in after dinner, but I'm not so I just got a glass of white wine and it was REALLY bad. Good thing this place isn't known for their wine!

Tip: I recommend not opting for the Local Flight. I'm not a whiskey drinker, but the whiskey fans at my table found the Local Flight too strong. Not worth $30. Wish I had just ordered a whiskey-based cocktail or the Classic Flight which had better flight options. Ambiance and vibes are good for a chill get-together with friends with an air of some sophistication. No wait / line. Service was mediocre; our waiter was nice and came to our tables often. I wish they had refilled our water cups though. Would've been nice to have gotten more whiskey expertise / recommendations too. Actually, now that I think about it, for a whiskey-branded bar, I think it would have been a much better experience if the waiter had asked what sort of whiskeys/drinks I was into. I'm a beginner whiskey/scotch/bourbon drinker, so receiving tips and recommendations on what whiskey to order would have made more sense.

Got an old-fashioned I'll have to say it was on point. This place is not bad really good location. The service at this time was lacking. We ordered drinks and appetizers the drinks came but no food.

From the outside the place doesn't appear very welcoming but once you get inside the staff is excellent. I got the Brussels Sprouts and let me tell you they were delicious! They had a nice smokey flavor with sweetness from the honey they cook them in. The burger had lots of flavor and the fries were crispy as well. They give you water in a nice and I'm guessing recycled whiskey bottle.

They have a great selection for whiskeys amazing staff we had the soft pretzel and the coconut, shrimp prawns very good I had several taste of different whiskeys. They have a great whiskey selection. If you're looking for some good whiskeys, this would be your place.

Great place in Belltown with good drinks and food. Stopped in here while on a walk to check it out and glad I did. The staff of friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. They are opened for sit down and it's nice to finally be out and about in the city again. If in the area, stop on by for a drink or so and a bite to eat! The bramble is one of my favorite drinks.

a surprisingly wonderful place!! i didn't have any particular misconceptions or negative expectations, but i also didn't have extremely high hopes for a whisky bar's food, and we were in the area searching mainly for snacks. in fact, we didn't even think this place served food, but happily, they do and they do it well! food: 8/10. far better than average bar food, but obviously not gourmet (designed for whisky aficionados, not foodies). we tried the chicken strips, mango habanero wet wings, brown sugar bourbon dry wings, a whisky burger, and the cheese curds. zero complaints about anything from anybody--it was all very tasty, filling, and appetizing. like i said, very pleasantly surprising in the best way. cocktails/drinks: 9/10. granted, we didn't try any of the extensive whisky list--unfortunate in that regard that we stumbled upon this spot, as i do enjoy a good whisky but i was driving for the evening. my companions tried two cocktails and a sour cider. they certainly didn't skimp on the alcohol or the flavor, according to them, and the sour was true to flavor as well. we definitely want to come back when we've planned a night out. atmosphere: 10/10. dim in an inviting way, cozy, warm, intimate! it was really a lovely spot for drinks and snacks with good friends. we got a booth and were quite comfortable whiling away some time together. service: 7/10. not terrible, but not great. right after we sat down, the bar was slammed with a random influx of customers. totally not their fault at all, but we were kind of left to our own devices until those folks left even though we'd gotten there first. the bartenders were all very friendly, apologetic about the wait, and as attentive as they could be when the bar got busy. i'm only detracting some points here because it could've been managed a bit better, but since i do have a background in the service industry i'd give everyone some grace. service did not detract whatsoever from a five-star experience and we'd happily come back and chat with the bartenders. overall, we plan to return to this excellent place!

A place for the whiskey aficionados among us! Wall to wall of whiskey of all ages, from around the world. A little intimidating for folks who are new to whisky or unfamiliar with the whisky experience. Arrived around 7pm on a Friday and the place was buzzing. It has that damp divey historic bar kinda smell which isn't super enticing but you kinda get used to it. Groups and singles and pairs dotted the interior space. Menus are QR codes and it didn't seem like food was served. I opted for a flight because the menu was overwhelming. Bartenders were hustling and chatting amongst themselves so I didn't get the vibe there was a lot of guidance to be had. This is a place for folks who love whisky, know what they want, and know what to ask for. Not great for dates or intimate conversations! 3 stars for the prices being pretty reasonable and for the flight where I learned some preferences. Beer is also served and I believe I saw wine too. Oh and if you're a Billions fan, they have the Michter's you're likely after.

My favorite pub in Seattle. No hot chicks or bros. Just a smart crowd in T-shirts drinking beer from a large array of local taps, drinking whiskies from all over the world, drinking great possibly overlooked cocktails and eating the best burger, fries, fish&chips around. The music is something to check out as well. Great indie shit from the 80s, 70s. The bartenders are experts at what they do. They can help you with whiskeys. Ask about half pours if you want to try something expensive for half the price. I'm not joking about the burgers. Big. Big flavor. Artisanal. Ask about doneness. They don't ask and cook them medium well. You can usually request whatever doneness you like.

I don't usually post as I enjoy lurking Yelp but felt the need to warn others of my experience. I went to the whiskey bar on a Thursday evening with a coworker of mine and we had to find seating ourselves. I would estimate the bar was 75% full. Thankfully, the restaurant had a QR code so we could look up the menu ourselves but oddly, there were no prices on any of the scotches. Even at this point, none of the servers greeted us or offered to take our orders so we had to go directly to the bartender. I ordered a round of the taliskar and lafraugh for the each of us which we enjoyed. My coworker offered to purchase the next round and requested whichever Japanese scotch was available. The bartender simply told us that they only had 21 year old aged hibiki. Not knowing what we were getting ourselves into, my coworker ordered us each a shot. Little did I know that each shot was a WHOPPING $250!!! I was shocked by my coworkers bill and offered to split but he insisted on paying. Nevertheless, it was one of the most embarrassing moments I ever had which could have been easily avoided if the bartender clarified the price of each drink before we ordered it! We went from the $15-20 shot range and spiked up to $250, with the bartender not notifying us of the price change. If we had known how much each shot, we would never have ordered something like this. I will never come back here again

Located on the upper floor of Pike's Place, this cute bar has a good amount of seating with both table and bar top options. We went on a Saturday night at around 9 PM and it wasn't too crowded -- we were quickly seated at the bar top for a party of two. When you walk in you'll notice that they have a more rustic, dark ambiance that still provides a more casual feel. We were immediately greeted by our host and were seated right away! We were having a late dinner so we ended up getting the Tater Tots with all the toppings, beef tartare, and a side of their coleslaw. For the two of us, that was more than enough! Their portion sizes were very generous and filling. The tater tots were amazing, with the perfect amount of crisp, sauce, and toppings! The beef tartare was also so delicious with the perfect amount of seasoning and the yolk beautifully ran through the meat. For drinks, we ended up getting two cocktails as well as as a whiskey flight. For the cocktails we ordered the Turn the Page and Angel's Wings. Both drinks were absolutely amazing! It was the perfect balance of tasting the spirit with its complementary fruity notes. Our bartender also curated a flight for us based on our budget, preferences, and curiosities because we were interested in learning more about the different whiskeys and it was such an amazing experience! I learned so much about whiskeys and tried new ones that I never would've considered trying otherwise! Overall, this was such an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend checking our Radiator Whiskey if you're in the Seattle area! Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year. I can't recommend it enough and it'll be at the top of my list of places to hit the next time I'm in town.

I would love to have a nice bar to patronize, but the bar food menu doesn't match bar food vibe. I am curious what dinner would be like here. Whoever owns this bar and whoever is curating this menu is absolutely a music head. No debate. And here's your gentle PSA: please pass that love of music AND hip-hop history to your waitstaff. Because what happened to me... was personal. There are three drinks on the menu that basically scream, "someone in here grew up on hip-hop and never emotionally left the 90s." We've got: ATLiens Aquemini 2 ____ a Butterfly (fill in the blank, but if you know, you KNOW Kendrick Lamar, 2015) Now listen this is not "aqua-mini." This is Outkast. Andre 3000. Big Boi. Southern rap royalty. It is pronounced Ah-kwim-in-eye The waitress looks me dead in my soul and says, "Oh, you mean the Aqua-mini." I was transported out of my body. Now here's the issue: I would've let it go...if a Kendrick Lamar song wasn't also on the menu. Because why are we confidently mispronouncing Outkast while casually referencing Pulitzer-level rap on the same drink list? At that point I realized I was surrounded by people under 34 who had never had to wait for TRL, decode a CD booklet, or defend Southern rap. No one in my group shared my emotional breakdown. Not one gasp. Prices & Drinks (important part): Let's talk about the $18 drink situation. I paid $18 for an Aquemini and received...vibes. Not buzz. At $18, I expect at least a whisper of alcohol. Instead, I got decorative hydration. My husband's Blueberry Smash? Better. More flavor. More personality. So now I'm sitting there thinking: I paid premium pricing for a drink I had to defend and pronounce correctly myself... and still left sober. Food: I was a little hungry and ordered fried shrimp (not on the online menu) The shrimp was fine. Just fine. The dipping sauce tried its best, and I respect that effort. Why is everything either wagyu, mussels, duck, or something you need a culinary degree to pronounce like gruyere but I can't just get a basic bar plate? Wagyu sliders, chicken bites would have been nice because I don't usually go out thinking, "Tonight feels like Wagyu and mussels at the bar." Service: I'm from Los Angeles, so I'm familiar with urban sketchy with a side of vibes. The activities near the parking spaces was very sketch. I was with a group of 8, including my husband so I felt protected by numbers. Inside, it was a Friday night but surprisingly empty. The music was loud enough to feel like a party, but quiet enough that you could still hear each other. We tried to rearrange seating to accommodate our group and the waitress said "I'm not walking around you, so keep this aisle clear." Which was fair, but also, there are gentler ways to say "I need this walkway." Or tell us the better way to set up seating in the empty bar. I didn't have a second drink frankly because I was never asked. Most places I go the waitress will come and ask if I want another drink. I don't live in Seattle, so this was my intro to night time bar life in the city. Sleepless in Seattle? I think in 2026 it's more like Sleepy in Seattle by looking at the emptiness.

Perfect Sunday Find - Crispy Halibut & Unexpectedly Amazing Mashed Peas!…read moreWe stopped by on a sunny Sunday while out for a walk, just planning to grab a drink--but ended up having one of the best fish & chips I've had in a while. The halibut was perfectly fried: crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside. The fries were a bit on the softer side, but still flavorful. Surprisingly, the star of the dish for me was the mashed peas--bright, creamy, and elevated by a touch of lemon that brought everything to life. We paired the meal with a dry cider, which went beautifully with the fish. Such a spontaneous and satisfying find. I'd definitely come back--especially for those peas!
