Stopped in for a quick bite and drink. The server was very friendly and attentive. We had the fried chicken and truffle fries. Both were good, but not great. The beer was cold and the Lychee Martini was fair. Aloooooooha and happy eating.
We sat at the bar and got to experience the skills of Jo the mixologist. He made some amazing drinks and any time mystery shot is on the menu you never know what you are going to get. The shots were delicious! We had amazing service and the sizzling chicken thigh dish was plenty of food for sharing. Next time we are in Seattle we'll be back.
Friendly service. Chill bar vibes. Cool decor. Big screen. Conveniently located. Not bad place for a drink & food.
Overall pleasant experience! Great customer service, cool looking environment. Wings were okay, nothing bad to say about them. The shumai tastes different from your average shumai - wasn't my favorite. The truffle fries were the star of the show. Most places use truffle salt, but I'm pretty sure they fry them in a truffle oil on top of a truffle season. Delicious. Close to a lot of other foodie places. Would totally come back
Good food for 11pm! The bar is noisy but that's normal since it's a bar. The food was pretty good for being a restaurant and bar. The service was quick and definitely good server!

I am glad to see there is a HK style cafe spot in Seattle, where they are far and few between. This place does serve delicious food, a little bit of a fusion take, and priced on the way higher end than what I would expect given the small portions. I went here for a Sunday lunch and it was not busy. I got the ribeye with spaghetti with black pepper sauce because black pepper sauce is what I grew up with when I get grilled meats in HK style cafes. Lunch special is $23.95 for this, and I paid an $8 surcharge to sub the soda with a cocktail which is a decent substitution (as most cocktails are $10-15+). The ribeye is pretty good, full of flavor. I was initially hesitant that they cooked it quite well done due to the hot plate, what a waste of meat, but it was still very juicy and not too much fat. The spaghetti is also served in the same hot plate so there were a few bits where it was quite crunchy and flavorful so that was nice. There were steamed veggies too. The black pepper sauce is flavorful but on the saltier side, but I still finished it cause the combination of flavors of the dish was excellent. I just wished for the price, the portions could've been much larger. I was only half full after. The cocktail I got was the Hong Kong slipper which as a midori drink, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Presentation was simple but sufficient. Service is okay. Not expecting much, but I would've appreciated a water refill. Also, prices are high but they further nickle and dime you. They also tack on an additional 4% surcharge for credit card transactions, on top of tax and tip. So what was $23.95 was close to $25. Imagine dinner, the ribeye would be $25.95 before the surcharge. With what looks like half-meal portions, this place is wayyyy too expensive. But the food is good enough that the value only deserves to take off at most 1 star.
Great food at great prices (during happy hour) with quick and kind service made for a great meal. Stopped in here to take advantage of their happy hour specials and it did not disappoint. Wings were cooked well and extremely tasty. The Goya was also delicious. Beers a good deal with quite a few on special. Service was a bit slow at the beginning but understandable as they were bringing out food to a large party. After that though our waiter was extremely friendly and made sure we had all that we needed. If we were staying longer in Seattle I would go back! Inside they have a mixture of high tops and regular tables and a large bar area as well as cool neon Asian signs gracing the walls.
This place feels like someone brought HK Bistro and A+ Hong Kong Kitchen over to Belltown, and then placed those street lights inside the bar area that make you feel like you're living the nightlife in Hong Kong itself. I went here alone to eat on a Saturday night and got seated quickly. There's many tables for 4 people, and ample bar seating. It's very dimly lit inside even with the "city lights" on the ceiling. They serve your regular Hong Kong cafe dishes like French toast, sizzling plates, spaghetti and wings. Whenever I go to places like these, I always have to get a sizzling plate, and here I got their meat lover combo with black pepper sauce on the side. My server did tell me this is a big dish, and wow he wasn't joking! It came with chicken thighs, pork chops and beef steaks (two pieces per meat), a fried egg, some broccoli and a small bowl of rice put on the sizzling pan (which was also sizzling like crazy when I got it to my table). Meat was very tasty and smoky, especially the beef steak which tasted like it had more pepper than the rest. Not complaining though, that was my favorite part of eating this! This was so big that you'd either have to split it with another person or spend almost an hour like I did to finish the whole thing by yourself. In this case, the huge portions justified the high price tag. It's a far walk from the places I know in downtown Seattle, and even farther than the restaurants similar to it in Chinatown, but I'm willing to walk back here and take my time eating their food here again!
If you from Hong Kong and craving for Cafe de Coral or fairwood cast iron steak style, this place would be prefer for you. It reminds me of home!!! I wish they include soup with it but I still think it's goood enough. I got the steak and my husband got the wings. It's all the fun when you pour black pepper sauce all over it, and it made that sizzling sound. The server/bartender was so nice and found out he's from Hong Kong too! So we kinda get to speak canto for a little. He was introducing Asian liquor to other people and it's cool to introduce our culture to others The decoration is very Hong Kong style. The only flaw is the bathroom is so far away! I will definitely come back if I am nearby.

I had the local beer "Ranier" and I enjoyed it. My food was so delicious, I left nothing on my plate. Place is clean, it was not too busy and they had great music on. Parking sucks all around here. Dj is set up on weekends. I would recommend and return here.
Went here for Happy Hour on a Friday night, during March Madness, and have to say i was disappointed. I thought they might have good HH food options, but the dry garlic wings I got were unfortunately not good. There were 4 bartenders, and only 7 customers. It was dead on a night that should've been fun and lively. The bartenders were all very nice though, and the interior looked like this should be a fun place, it just wasn't. I ended up going one block more to Vindictive wings, and really wished I had gotten food there instead.

Seattle has a wonderful diversity that extends to the bar scene. While looking for dinner after 10pm, we still have a vast array of food choices beyond pub or diner food. Imperial Kitchen and Bar in Belltown offers Hong Kong cafe style food while offering a full bar experience including creative cocktails. The food menu has a variety of international choices, and the dishes are pleasantly good. The place is understandably loud, being a bar. The décor is old-school dark wood bar chic with small HK style neon signs hanging from the ceiling. The Seahawks celebrations merriment was still ongoing with karaoke blasting on Superbowl Sunday. Service was swift, and the food came out in a timely manner. I will remember this place for future late-night food. The Food: Rib Eye Steak Platter, $28 - 4.5 Stars This sizzling platter comes with your choice of sauce and a choice of starch. Hubby chose black pepper sauce and spaghetti. Hubby asked for medium rare, but the rarest they offer is medium due to being served on a sizzling platter. Fair enough. The platter did arrive smoking hot. The flavors were pretty good. The black pepper sauce was delivered warm, not very hot. The flavors met expectations. Stir Fried Udon with Tenderloin Steak, $20.95 - 4 Stars This dish is also done in a black pepper sauce. I quite like the high veggies-to-udon ratio, almost equal parts. Overall flavor is a bit salty. Some beef pieces are better than others, a mix of tender and chewy. Garlic Pepper Soft Shell Crab, $16.95 - 3.5 Stars Despite being fried, these pieces are softer, less crispy than I all other fried soft-shell crab I have had. Perhaps they might need to double fry. These have good flavor with good seasonings despite not being particularly crispy. read more

They have the prettiest and friendliest server! I didn't catch her name, but she was very welcoming. We tried Imperial Kitchen for Seattle Restaurant Week for the $35 deal, and the food was enough for two of us. The chicken burger was a little dry and I think it would be good to have some other sauce on the side. I'm excited to come back and try to Lomo saltado when I get the chance. read more

I wish I heard about this place sooner! My girlfriend and I were in the area today and I was looking to find somewhere to eat with a happy hour, and so I discovered Imperial Kitchen while searching on Google Maps. What drew me in were the photos of the interior and the neon signs, and I was excited to check this place out since it was Hong Kong inspired. We came in and were seated right away. There weren't any other customers inside, and so our waiter was very attentive with us. After going through the menu, we ordered the following; Imperial Hot Wings, Truffle Fries, Takoyaki, Corn Cheese, the HongKong Slipper, and the alcoholic HK Iced Tea. Everything we ordered was off the Happy Hour menu except for the HK Iced Tea. Almost every dish was tasty! The wings had a nice tangy flavor, wasn't too spicy though. Truffle fries were DELICIOUS that you didn't have to eat it with the provided sauces. Takoyaki was pretty good too but nothing special, and the corn cheese was just okay, could have been spiced up a bit. My girlfriend ordered the HK Iced Tea but she didn't really like it that much, however, I thought it was good. I gave her my HongKong Slipper instead and she really liked it, it was very tasty with the midori. Both drinks are refreshing. I noticed online that they had a bigger menu, whereas the photos I posted were the only items I saw. Perhaps they had a different lunch/dinner menu depending on the day? I was quite interested in eating their french toast. They have a decent selection of food, but for a Hong Kong inspired place I thought they could've had more Hong Kong street foods. Especially since I felt there were too many western dishes on the menu, I liked the wings but did they really need to have a whole page dedicated to it? Same thing with the burger page online. While it's ultimately up to them on how they want to lead their restaurant, I think they could be more popular with a few changes to their menu and brand marketing. Overall I liked Imperial Kitchen, they're a solid place to come out for happy hour and I would come back again! read more

The staff is really nice. The fries an are good and so is the burger. Other HK items are also good. The chairs were not having worn out covers. But the other interior is nice. The bar is not noisy. The reason for 4* is: 1. They do not have vegetarian options on the menu 2. No healthy substitute for fries The service is slow. So avoid going they when you are busy. read more

Stopped in with my spouse to get dinner for our valentines and it was our first time trying this place out. We are glad we did because service and food were top notch. We loved the food and the drinks were amazing, I had the HK bourbon iced tea lemonade and my spouse had the pomegranate mojito. We will definitely be back. read more

Food was decent, definitely not authentic Hong Kong food. I'm pretty sure it's Mainland Chinese trying to make food in their own way in the name of Hong Kong. I mean it's fine if non-Hong Kongers want to open a Hong Kong restaurant, they just need to learn to cook it in the Hong Kong way, e.g. dip the french toasts in eggs and deep fry please!!! Don't just cook something the way they want and call that Hong Kong food! It is misleading and destroying the name. Service was good though. I did like the atmosphere but it hurts my eyes having all the bright lights in a dark room! Not a restaurant I would make a trip to visit, but I may go again when I'm in the area. read more
This spot was close to work and one of the few open at lunch time on Saturday for us. My colleague and I ate here and had a good experience. The server was attentive and helpful. He even opened the door for us. The ambiance was kind of like a typical Belltown bar but a little scaled up with more modern decor. The food menu features a variety and they have many more vegetarian options than I realized from their online menu. I still went with the imperial French toast and it was very tasty! They had a lunch special of getting a free fountain beverage with entree purchase so that was nice. My colleague seemed to like her burger and fries too. Overall I'd probably come back for more specials or HH options. read more

We came on a weekend nice so I'd expected it to be busier than it was, which maybe should have been a sign. The inside did feel warm and welcoming, but the staff didn't necessarily. They were nice enough, but not considerable friendly. The food was okay, our appetizers were great, but the entrees were a little dull. Drinks were great! read more

This is unacceptable. We had reservation at 12:30pm. We ordered right away. We have been sitting and waiting for our food for 1 hour and 10 minutes as of now. My kids are starving and our food is still not here. I dont know how much longer we have to wait. And it's dead in here. I was so excited to eat at this location because it's so cute with the interior. Im not sure if I should just get up and go to the restaurant next door. I'll give it another 1/2 hour. If anything I will update this review. Update: Still not happy with the service. No one has notified me for the wait, I had to catch the servers attention to tell them our food has not came out 1 and 1/2 hours later. Surprisingly few minutes after that we were served truffle fries, and still had to wait for the rest of the food to come out. By the time my family was done eating 1/2-3/4 of the way, I was the last one left without any food. Also we had another one last dish come at the end and we basically called it quits and left it there. I don't know how this place is functioning but something is not right. Also at another table next to us they also seem to be unhappy as they were also getting food in random times, I can see the disappointment on their faces. For future reference, customers should know the time frame as to when the food will come out. Also it was not busy at all, which has left our whole family with an unhappy experience. The second man who checked us out just kind of brush it off and smiled and said sorry. But honestly it was such a bad experience. When I first came in I thought the restaurant was cute and wanted to bring my friends here for a future night out, now I have to rethink that. I don't think I'll come back. Sorry, it just seemed like they didn't care and didn't check on us whatsoever. read more

This is cool little lounge. Dark and low lite. Perfect for a date night. The food is all small plates so you are good to order a few different dishes to share. We tried the house wine and enjoyed it which is a winner for us. A great place to go before and after a concert in downtown Seattle read more

Had a show at the Crocodile and decided to stop in here before. SO glad we did. The seats are super comfy and the service is amazing. The server was so attentive and kind! Even when he got super busy as the only server, he continued to acknowledge and check on us. For food we got the lomo saltado and the chicken sandwich. The fries have an amazing flavor and we couldn't pinpoint what the flavor is besides super tasty. Furikake maybe?? Yum. The lomo saltado was cooked at a perfect medium as requested. The juicy chicken sandwich had a crazy crispy crust!! Glad we discovered this place we'll definitely back! read more
