Just the Tap is a great local bar with a divey feel and unique set up. It's huge with lots of seating! We had a large room rented out for our private party, but were still able to do some exploring. There are swings, pinball machines, large tables, couch seating, a bar in the back - so much space! The pizzas were delicious and the rosemary fries were tasty too. I loved being able to try different beers and ciders. My one complaint would be the lack of toilet paper and paper towels in the women's restroom. Overall an awesome venue, friendly staff, and great drink/food options. Can't go wrong! read more

We had an event here recently and it was a good experience. The pizza was great as I remembered. The Caesar was good but they were out of vegan cheese so I had it with regular parm. This is one of the new vegan options added though but there's no vegan pizza yet on the menu. They have beer taps and also ciders and meads. If you prefer a cocktail they have those too. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. It was pretty busy with a lot of families with little kids for a Friday night. We departed before karaoke but it seems as though that was a big draw. read more

It's a little hard to find. There's a few wooden signs to guide you in the right direction. It's one of those bars that provide a fob so that you can pour whatever you want as much as you want. They had a wide selection of beers from Washington and Oregon from hazys to ciders. This was perfect since l usually just prefer tasters to avoid full commitment. They also had a list of cocktails that were pretty good. The recommendations were Razzle Dazzle and Bomb Pop! It can probably get pretty crowded but not on a Sunday afternoon when we were killing time before our flight out of Seattle. They have a few nights with events so it seems like a cool hang out spot. Stopped in with my partner after a walk along the waterfront downtown. We saw some signs posted and followed them right into this spot. Our first impression was that this is a quirky spot with a lot of charm. The coolest part of this experience was using the tap wall. We would 100% recommend this experience to other patrons. The varieties of ciders was great -- try the Vanilla mixed with Cinnamon! The Hot Veggie pizza was delicious. There are also tons of board games available to use. We played a few rounds of scrabble. Absolutely loved our little date night coming here. We live nearby so we got a coupon for a free slice of Pizza and had been curious about this place for a while. It's a big place inside. There are four rooms, a long hallway to the entrance, bathrooms, and a photo booth. The servers were all nice and constantly cleaning up the place. Seemed pretty popular when we went on a Friday night, they're definitely not hurting for customers. We met a few tourists when we went who decided to walk up from the Cruise terminal and were raving about this place when we waited in line to go in. It started our date night on the right foot. The prices are pretty affordable. We ordered almost every slice on the menu except Mo Fun Guy (since they require you to order the whole Pizza), Prestigio, and Churro. We also didn't order anything on the Brazilian dinner menu. One of our beer taps tapped out too, and even ordering all of that plus our $15 on PhotoBooth pics, it was still pretty affordable, under $100. Fyi, if your tap runs out, you have to let the guys at the cashier know, and they reinstate it for you. So now we know for next time! Also, the photo booth starts taking pics right away, and there's no indicator light, so get ready as soon as you get in there! The Pizza was all right. I wouldn't say the flavors were the best--definitely on the Little Ceasars level--but I think this place is better for the tapped beers and the overall vibe than for the food. You can't lose with the beers on tap. I love how you get a magnet that tracks your ounce pours. That was a first-time experience for us, and we loved that feature. There are games all over. We played a few rounds of Uno and another board game--I can't remember which now--but there's a pinball room, too. If you're looking for a fun aesthetic, they cover a few bases for you, with the lighted hallway to the exit and the extra dark room. The ambiance was great, the bartender was super friendly and helpful. They also had premixed drinks on top if you're not a beer drinker. The orange mixed drink was the best I've had in a while. It was cute that they had different fluorescent shots for the UV room too. There were 4 rooms from what I could tell: pinball, open tap room, UV and game room with projector that had cartoons playing quietly. A couple bookshelves full of board games with rows of tables to play at. The blacklight room is small but not too many people on a late October weeknight. We especially appreciated that you can buy it by the slice, and like your beer, try different varieties. There is a game wall, for those looking for fun while enjoying beer and we invited a couple friends to play along. Beer can be a bit expensive (it is charged to your fob by the ounce, making it $6-$10/12 oz glass). For their premium pours, they had a bourbob barrel aged stout and a barley wine that were both excellent. However, there is also a value beer on tap (yesterday's was Guiness for $4/glass) for those wanting it to be more budget friendly. Lots of table space for boardgame play on a sunday afternoon. Would like to see them play with the ambiance a bit....maybe give some cozy vibes with a fireplace room, or maybe use the tech to create fun harry potter themed library.....maybe even a spacey star wars themed area.....:). My friend discovered this spot on Google Maps, and after seeing photos of the unique LED swing room, we were instantly intrigued and decided to check it out. The entrance has a speakeasy vibe and can be a bit tricky to find, but that just adds to the charm. Once inside, you'll need to place an order before exploring the venue. My friend and I got a beer token and a slice of rosemary potato chips pizza. The place is massive, with various themed rooms including board game rooms, a pinball room, the LED swing room, and even more spaces in the back that we didn't get a chance to explore. Our group of 7-8 friends spent the evening in the LED swing room, and it was such a chill and fun experience. The pizza was delicious, and we all had a great time. We were told the taps will "cut you off" after your prepaid 12 ounces. They do not. It gets expensive pretty quickly after that. You are underground, there are no windows. Bad country music plays from a boombox. I heard a song about a guy hiding a gun in his shoe. All the other songs seemed to be about trucks. It is what it is, I guess, as is evident by the few other people who were in there, all looking like confused cruise ship passengers. read more

Just The Tap is an absolute gem in the metropolis of Seattle. We had a day to kill in Seattle after a 9-day cruise (of spending money), and we just wanted a place to hang out that wouldn't cost us $150 - which is basically everything. Just The Tap was the perfect spot - they have a collection of board games and open tables, and we were able to order snacks and sip on beer as for a couple of hours. Just The Tap has a unique, pay-by-the-ounce, self-serve beer bar. That allowed us to try a few ounces of several different flavors of beer, refilling as needed. When you arrive, you get a keychain fob that you can hang on different beer taps to activate the self-pour. It adds the ounces you pour to your tab. At the end of your stay, you can even drop the keychain to auto-close out with a 20% tip. Music was great, service was friendly, and the fun was cheap. It's one of those places where you get a card and you can pour your own beer from the taps, as little or as much as you want. We like trying new and different beers so we love these kinds of places. We got our card and ordered a couple of slices of pizza. We tried some beers while we waited for our pizza. The pizza wasn't very good, it was kind of like a wet noodle, I like my pizza crust crisp. But the venue is cool, different themed rooms: space room, pinball room, etc.. it would be a cool place for a private event. Been back several times and it keeps getting more awesome than before. Love this place overall. The ambiance is great and there is a swing room, a pinball room, and a place to play board games (more to come). As far as the food goes, the pizza is creative and the fries were fantastic. My favorite pizza is the pulled pork pizza followed by the mushroom pizza. However, I've had most of the menu for pizza and it's never a bad choice. For dessert, the banana cinnamon pizza hits the spot. Also, do not forget the Brazilian menu which is beyond tasty if you want more of a full meal. As far as the beer prices go, they are reasonable. You can pour as much or as little as you want from the taps. I was able to try the majority and on average a pint came out to about $6-$7 a pint which is well worth and on the average. However, in this case, you do not have to buy a whole pint of something you do not like. The prices are displayed on each tap before you pour so you can control the price as you pour. For the service, it's fantastic! The staff are friendly and very helpful. They have buzzers for when you food is ready so you can enjoy the other areas and not have to wait around for the food call. For the spaces, you can choose to chill in the swing room, get your game on in the pinball room, or play card/board games. My favorite is the pinball, where there is a wide selection that will keep you entertained for hours (or just play 007). If you are visiting the area or are a local, stop on in and spend some time at a local owned small businesses. This place is super super cool! Kind of a strange entrance and a bit confusing but once you find your way in it's super cool. We rolled in and the cashier was extremely friendly. He explained everything to us super well and was super welcoming. They have a ton of great beer options and a lot of ciders actually, which em turned out to be really fantastic. They have food which we didn't try but options for Brazilian BBQ and pizza. The space room and pinball room are both really cool. The pinball room can kind of suck your money up pretty quick at $0.75 per game but it's still quite fun. They have some big tables for large groups and tons of games so you don't have to spend the money on other stuff if you want to just hang out and drink beer. First of all, you've never seen anything that has this much mechanical engineering in a draft pub. Whoever designed and built this wooden dispenser, should franchise it to other bars. The dispenser alone is worth the trip just to experience "mechanical engineering" vs the more common electrical engineering used today. As you pour beer from the draft, there are mechanical wooden panels that drop to show the amount of beer dispensed. Instead of seeing an electric LCD, you get to watch actual wooden panels drop as you pour from the tap. You use a small RFID tag that gathers the amount of beer you have poured. As a retired mechanical engineer, I would love to talk to whomever designed and manufactured this "room size" dispenser. Also, beer and ciders were excellent. They even have a "glass washing" station so that you can try just a few oz of a specific beer, then rinse the glass and try a few oz of a different selection. I live in Southern CA. This design would be incredibly successful in So Cal. Hoping that the owners allow franchising to grow this design. read more

Everything about this place is great, from the drinks on tap, to the amazing staff that takes your order. That said, the real stand out is the KJ, James, who does an incredible job leading his karaoke shows on Thursdays and Friday. He is so good at getting the crowd excited, making you feel confident about getting up to the mic, and then using his obvious expertise in audio engineering to make you sound the very best that you can. And that's not even speaking to the fact that he sings beautifully as well! The experience is so differentiated vs. other KJs and is the sole reason that I will be back for his shows whenever I'm available. Just The Tap is lucky to have him and I hope they do whatever they can to make sure his talents stay around for the long haul! read more
