I went in for a dip/powder appointment--the woman was clearly in a rush because she was working on other customers as well even though I had an appointment. My nails were done so so poorly--they were so thick that it looked like i have hooves on my fingers. She also did not clean up around the edges, check to make sure they were the same length, and didn't make sure they were level at all. My nails look terrible, such a waste of money. I had a great experience at Lan's earlier this week as a first time customer. I do powder dip over my natural nails. Tiffany did my nail shape and base color. Kristy did my ombre. Another younger woman took off the color I came in with, but unfortunately I can't remember her name. They were all fantastic. The salon is super cute and clean. I traveled a lot for a past job so I have very literally had my nails done in salons all over the country. I REALLY appreciate the time and care these ladies took to take my previous polish off right without damaging my nails - unfortunately, I know from experience that that isn't always something you can count on, and is where a lot of salon experiences go wrong IMO. She was very sweet and actively asked me questions throughout the process to make sure I was happy with my nail length, color, and eyebrows. I could tell she cared about her work. My nails are evenly shaped and clean. Their pricing was also very reasonable and there is a private room for waxing where you can lay down. Horrible! Cost way to much for the horrible job they do!!! As soon as I thought the experience could not get any worse.... it did! Went with my daughters for a mani, pedi and fill. Up first the pedi. I had Tammy and first I asked her to cut my nails to which she said "ohhh I don't know, you don't need them shorter"... really? I said please cut them twice to before she actually cut them. Struck one!! Then I asked to have rhinestones added to my toe. I asked her 3 times and 3 times she said yes. It was the quickest pedicure I have ever had... all of about 10 minutes start to finish btw....now she polished them and the fourth time I asked for rhinestone again! The owner came over and told me it was too late, I should have asked for them before she polished! Really? I told her I asked four times! Struck two!! So I said just add a white flower please. I was told NO not just white because white and silver go together. You have to have silver with it! I said. just white please. We went through this 3 times and finally I said do what YOU want on my toes! I was so annoyed. But I thought about it and was over the top annoyed so I said NO paint the flower white - no silver. Let me tell you, I don't have silver but I also don't have a flower either!! have some abstract strips! Strike three!! Now it's time for my fill and the first thing she did was burn the tip of my finger as she was cutting down my nail! I was done! Told her no way are you doing my nails. I was livid! Then as I am waiting for my daughters the owner chimes in and says I'm too sensitive! Game over!! One daughter had a mani... her's was fine. Other daughter had a pedi and told her tech to stop and to leave one of her toes alone because she was hurting her. She then got a full set and told the owner... who was doing her nails, that she wanted the similar round shape and the owner told her square would be better and for sure she made them square after my daughter told her twice she wanted them round!! If you don't know what you want and want the techs to do whatever they want while they hurt you, this is the place for you! But if you want a quality job by technicians who know the craft and have good customer service DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

I have had such wonderful experiences at Lan's Nails since their new ownership! Customers are treated with respect, receive professional services and offered a relaxing environment. My daughter and I went for mani/pedis yesterday (4/25/22). To offer some introspection, my daughter is on the Autism spectrum so some experiences have challenges. She had some sensory issues that were becoming uncomfortable for her. She advocated to me for a solution in order to continue the services. One of the 3 wonderful owners, Rose, worked well with my daughter to appease her concerns with suggestions offered to her nail tech. When all possible resolutions were ineffective, Rose professionally switched spots and completed my daughter's services by meeting her needs in order to assure her contentment of services requested. I was thoroughly impressed with how this situation was handled so gently with full respect given to my daughter! We thanked Rose and her associate for their kindness and understanding! Most recent visit was blah. Still a great location for dip powder but only with Kristy. You'll need to make an appointment to get her. They have a lot of color options. I changed my review because not all of the nail techs are consistent. During my last visit, my tech was visibly in a rush and sped through my nails being very rough and changing the shape significantly (two days before my bday when I've been growing my nails out for a certain look). Also, while many salons in this area don't do designs, I've had nail techs there tell me designs aren't a problem over the phone but when I get there no one there can do one- disappointing and frustrating because this happened three times. read more

When i walked in it did not feel inviting at all. I have relocated from california so backwards minds is not really what i am used too dealing with at all. The young lady whom did my pedicure was amazing and very nice. However, i am floored that not anyone in shop was good at acrylics which is all i wear. I showed the woman a picture and boy in mid process i apologized but asked could she stop that was the worst job i have ever seen. I was then informed that they usually only do manicures ummmm are you serious. They also perfer to take cash instead of your card ummm we are 2016 cards are accepted everywhere. Although I had a bad experience at Lans the last time I went, the owner reached out to me and offered me a new gel manicure for free. I also got a regular spa manicure and let me say...Kristy really changed my opinion of Lans! She was meticulous and made sure I was always comfortable. Her attention to detail was absolutely amazing! I had great massages and my nail polish really was beautiful. Kristy also was very personal and even remembered me from when I came in with my grandmother 6 months ago. As a transplant from the Midwest- I've been in search for the best nail salon in the area for nearly a year now. My search is over! Lan's is, hands down, the best nail salon I have ever been to (and I've been to many around the country!). Forget the fancy chandeliers and mediocre wine, this salon has given me two perfect gel manicures, one incredibly relaxing spa pedicure that I nearly fell asleep to, and a brow wax done to MY specification! My tech is Lee and she has done an incredible job. My mani lasted nearly 3 weeks without new growth showing and zero chipping or peeling. Lee is also great at massage. The salon is very clean and parking is a non issue. I love this place! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. During my first visit, I was not greeted. When I was finally acknowledged, I sat down to get my gel nail color off. That's all I needed. As I waited, I observed the lady next to me tell her customer to wash her hands. The nail tech then took the cuticle clipper she had just used on her client to cut HER OWN cuticles! Then when the customer came back, she used them AGAIN on the customer without cleaning them. I was in a bind the second time I went. I had to get mani pedi and I had waited too long. I went in an hour before closing. I know they did me a favor by agreeing to do both at same time. However, It was horrible. The guy who did my gel mani tried hard to make me comfy. But it was so uncomfortable and I did not relax or enjoy myself. I had to keep twisting in the chair to give him my other hand and it was so painful. The woman who did my pedicure barely put any effort into it. She talked with other employees and honestly did not provide an acceptable pedicure. For this I was charged $60. Gel manicure is $30. I'm pretty sure when I read the board it said $23. For pedi. Why was I charged $30? I asked and they told me to come back net day. I sent them an email to the email address provided as I don't have to time to go in and argue as I work. I heard nothing. So I sent another email. Nothing. They did not attempt to resolve this. I will never go again. And I'm posting in every place I can how horrible this was. I think $60 is excessive for a very uncomfortable and bad mani pedi. read more

Moved recently just outside of West Chester and looking for a new nail salon. I'm not completely sold on this one...my last salon used plastic covers for the footbaths to keep the environment clean. They also used sterile equipment each time. I'm not sure where the equipment came from because it was sitting there when I sat down and I'm guessing the Lysol spray on the stand is what keeps the footbaths clean. The service is extremely fast, but I'm also used to a few more services for the price. $46 for a basic manicure and pedicure seems high compared to what I have paid in the past. Not sold on the experience from this salon and will keep looking. Just basic, nothing special and a little high on price for the service given. read more

I received a gift certificate for Lan's b/c its across from work and I read good reviews. I went in and requested a refill(They only had 2 customers and 3 employees) I was asked if I had an apt(Walk-ins are supposedly welcome) when I responded with a no, I was told I would have to come back in an hour. I live @ 20 minutes away, I'm not driving home to come back in an hour. They need to change their sign to Walk-ins welcome unless you have acrylics. I'll only be back, MAYBE, to use my gift certificate but definitely not for my regular appts. They were just rude. read more

I had an appointment, but the person who did my nails would not ease up on the electric tool to take off the polish and my nails felt like they were actually on fire (even after telling her she argued with me). Overall my nails look good, but it was not a comfortable or pleasant experience. They don't even give you a hot towel, hand massage or even lotion before pushing you out the door. read more

I really like this salon. I'm giving 4 stars because it's a bit more expensive than other salons I have attended, but I'd say for the service I got, it was somewhat worth it. I grew my natural nails out very long, and got a $25 gel manicure- I like it very much. That was almost two weeks ago, and it is still fully intact! The best manicure I have ever received. One other thing I do have to say, though, is that the other time I was in here with my mom, they charged her for a foot massage that apparently wasn't included in the pedicure, and both didn't tell her that it would be an extra charge and didn't ask her if she wanted it. I would advise anyone going to this salon to pay up front, so they will be less likely to add charges. Overall, I will most likely be returning! read more

Every time I come to this location, I'm taken late and get out late beyond closing. My appointment is always around 5:30-5:45ish and I don't leave until 8-8:10ish. Today, I walked in at 5:55PM for my appointment at 6:00PM and no one even greeted me. It is now 6:45PM and I am still waiting. As people all around me in the waiting area are getting taken back behind me, I asked about when I'm going to be taken to the person that I made the appointment with and she said that I've called so many times to reschedule my appointment that her staff was confused by my communications. Firstly, it's irrelevant that I have called several times because atleast I've called and I'm not a no show. Next, every time I call and I even called today, I stated the exact positioning of where the person I see sits so it's not clear to me where the confusion is. Anyhow, it is now 6:50 and I'm still in the waiting area and not one nail technician or manager has apologized for the inconvenience or given me the amount of time that I still have to wait. I've never experienced such nonchalant behavior as a service provider, from any nail salon that I've ever been to. I don't recommend this place if you respect your own time because they surely do not. read more
