When I made the appointment, I told them that it had to be on time because I have another obligation with time. When I arrived they told me they were running 15 minutes behind. I posted a picture of the SNS French manicure I had done on a Friday evening. The staff were super nice BUT they were rushed and with so many stations and people coming in and out, the chemical smell was overwhelming (and I pretty much never notice this stuff). At the end of the day, a $40 manicure (plus $8 tip) should last more than two days - where I was on vacation and did no cooking, cleaning or swimming (hell, my hairdresser asked me not to wash my hair bc dirty holds better for styling - was in a wedding). I honestly wouldn't recommend this salon because for the cost, you don't get high quality results. I also had a pedi done, French style ($35 plus $8 tip) and I would not recommend it either (although a single color should be fine). The girl got the white paint all over and the lines are thick and crooked (basically what it would have looked like if I did it myself). She was very pleasant, but freestyle French isn't her strong suit. They did do a quick rub with oil, then hot stones and a hot towel, but I personally didn't find the massage chair comfortable and thought the pedi was a bit rushed too. Altogether, nice people and I would have loved to give them repeat business, but will not go back because of the poor results. read more

First time here for acrylic set removal. Instead of soaking off the nail technician USED HER OWN NAILS to dig under and rip off each acrylic! Not only is this damaging to the nail it is dangerous and unhygienic. She continued even when I pulled my hand away from being in pain and asked if she could soak them after the first one. Clearly she didn't want to bother with the time and continued to rip them off. The rest of the process didn't use standard hygienic practices such as using individually packaged tools or new dust cloths. Left in pain and feeling gross! read more

My first time here and was very impressed with the friendly service. The owner is incredible and keeps everything flowing. Small place so would suggest going in the middle of the week. THIS IS UPDATED REVIEW: I have had my nails for about 4 days maybe and I am in PAIN! She put SNS on my cuticles and they are red and bleeding! I have to go and get them removed immediately. WASTE OF MONEY SINCE I PAID $40 :( I have gotten SNS before and they used to put gel polish on top which is what I thought would happen. Well I guess the SNS here is the color you get. The first color I chose the lady said was the transparent so she helped me choose another. I wasn't to excited of it but whatever. As she was doing it she told me if I liked the color I was shocked a bit since it was ugly (not her fault) just the color looked bad on my skin tone. Anyways I ended up choosing another SNS which made my nails super thick which I didn't like. Long story short I felt some pain while filing and the thickness isn't my cup of tea. I am very particular of my nails and this was my first time. I'm not amused but I will not rate them bad. This place is very clean. I will post pics of my nails and stuff. (Another thing was when I was choosing another SNS color I had to choose over 5 since they didn't have the colors I wanted. Which was kinda annoying since it's on display.) read more

I waited over 45 minutes for an appointment, was ignored (there was no receptionist) and ended up leaving and going to another salon as a walk in with a less than 5 min wait. I got gel nails at Chesco and waited over a half hour to be seen. Once the process was started, my nail technician was very nice and polite. However, three days after I got my gel done the colors started to turn. I called Chesco Nails and the owner answered. I started to explain what was happening with my nails to see if they would fix them for me, and the owner cut me off stating that this happens with gel. This should not happen with gel, especially not this fast. She insisted I had had my hair dyed or had rubbed my nails on new jeans, which can cause them to turn...neither of which happened. Best nail salon I've been to, I drive over 30m to go here. I've only ever had Annie do my nails, as I always get dip powder with tips. She's very polite and always does a great job, and will check in to make sure you like them. Always have a great experience, only thing is sometimes the wait is long. read more

I work at a hospital and due to an emergency I didn't get out until late missing my appointment to get my nails done at another salon with my sister in law (the bride who's getting married Sunday) and the rest of the bridesmaids. By the time I arrived back into the area it was 6:15pm. I was frantic to find a salon that was still open and who could give me a pedicure and gel manicure. Upon arrival to Chesco Nails I was greeted by all of the friendly staff. I immediately asked them if it was possible for me to get both services done as I knew it was late and they closed at 7pm. The staff laughed and reassured me not to worry and to choose my color. Let me tell you this was one of the best pedicures I have ever had. They use the hot stones to massage my legs and feet and overall are so caring and professional. They did not rush through my pedi or my manicure making me feel welcome and helping to soothe my anxiety for missing my prior appointment. I booked an appointment for pedicures right after salons reopened. I spoke to the owner and she reassured me they had time to accommodate us. I know in the past the owner often overbooked and my service took twice as long as usual, That was before Covid 19 surly the appointments would be scheduled appropriately now for safely. Boy was I wrong! There were 5 employee's working, when we first arrived the salon was not crowded, an hour and a half later (45 minutes longer then it should take) we were finally done. As the salon started filling up we became very uncomfortable and our experience was anything but relaxing, we couldn't wait to leave.There were 15 customers and 5 employees crammed in that little salon! I don't like being lied to, I don't like someone wasting my time because their greedy and lastly , I felt my safety was in question. I will NEVER return to this salon. You have lost two clients and if anyone asks I happily share my unpleasant experience. I also called the health department when I got home I was so upset, they were not helpful:( Look out for yourselves, if a business becomes overly crowed just get up and leave. I am here drying my toes after my first visit and I'm so glad I came here! I called to check if they had openings and they got me right in. The pedicure was excellent and soothing. It wasn't rushed, but didn't take ages either. Perfect for me. The nicest thing is how friendly and kind the technicians are. It's so much easier to enjoy a relaxing pedicure surrounded by kind smiles and friendly chatter. I honestly do not know how this place has gotten such good reviews. Only posting to save someone the trouble, because there are so many better nail salons in the area. I went here a total of 3 times because I didn't want to give up on the place, since at the time, it was in walking distance from my house. The owner is hard working and truly seems to care about her company. She's friendly and tries to be accommodating. But that's half the problem. Techs bounce from one customer to the next. As a walk in, your told that you can sit right down and be taken right away, you sit for 20 mins + until someone gets to you. Then they start, and excuse themselves to start on another customer leaving you hanging and waiting. The final time I tried his place, I made an appointment, to avoid the previous experience. After waiting over 30 mins past my appointment time, I just left. This place is is awful. read more

Fantastic nail place. Not only did they do great mani and gel pedi they were very friendly. Tammy stayed late to finish my nails and never made me feel like she was rushing to get out of there for the evening. I went in the other day to get an acrylic set of nails and the women who did my nails was extremely nice, but she did a horrible job. Half of them were rounded and the other half were square and they looked like a child did them. I got an infection in my nail and cut by one of the tools pretty deep. When I asked for a refund, they refused and offered to redo them but it was not worth even returning to the salon to get them fixed. I will never go back here and never recommend this to anyone I know. read more

Then was helped and then sat for another hour to get the acrylic and paint actually done. Went to this salon for the first time recently. Had a manicure (the "sand" polish/coating that they dip your fingers in) and pedicure. The manicure was reasonably-priced at $30 (I previously paid $25 for this method at a DelCo salon, but expected to pay more closer to home). The pedicure was $25. The owner did a great job on my nails. I like the way she shaped them - very natural - and not too thick. Another woman gave me a great pedicure. The pedicure stations looked very clean, which I liked. The employees were very nice, and seemed genuinely interested in my satisfaction, and asked me to return. I definitely will. read more

Well, as a first-time client I can say that I'm not too enthused by the quality of service I received. I came in for an acrylic refill around 11 AM on a Friday and they weren't busy. When I walked in I wasn't greeted because the person at the door was busy talking to one of her clients which is fine. I told her I needed a refill with gel and she told me to have a seat and she started to work everything was fine. Then one of her regular clients came in and then she began to rush her work on me and kept rushing me. She began to work on me and her client at the same time switching between workbenches but only rushing me. She asked me to pick a color and I was trying to match it to a photo that I had in within a one minute time span she asked me what color 5 times. At which point I had to say ma'am I understand you're busy but you don't need to rush me. I mean after all getting your nails done is supposed to be relaxing right? After my nails dried, every other nail salon I've been to usually will put a hot towel on your hands and lotion your hands because of the chemicals that they just put on you and all she said to me was your total is $40 and then walked away. I can honestly say that I will not be returning to this nail salon because I wasn't an established client I got different treatment than the other clients however my money is just as green and I'm a paying customer. They have no pricelist visible $40 for a refill is pretty pricey but at that point I was so disappointed I just wanted to get out of there. read more

Called around to 3 places to get an idea of pricing and availability- decided to try Chesco because it did have nice reviews on here. Went for a pedicure and was really pleased. Very clean, very nice people and a wonderful pedicure. I normally only go like every other month but this was so enjoyable and reasonable that I may just treat myself and go more often. I don't usually enjoy the massages, but they were good here and also used hot stones which I never had before in a basic pedicure. read more

I have been going to Chesco nails for a couple years. The newly renovated space is clean and has nice dividers between stations. Unfortunately, my overall opinion is a negative one. Like my other friends/family who have also since went elsewhere, there have been too many times both before and after COVID where you are left waiting despite making an appointment. The waiting space today alone had 4 people within a few feet of each other due to over booking. I tried dip nails for the first time and was scheduled by the owner to have her do my nails. She must have forgotten and overbooked and rather than admitting that, she sped through my nails as if she was on fast forward. I did not get a full manicure, there was no soaking or cuticle trimming, I even had to ask for lotion at the end to put on myself. She cut my cuticles with the dremel tool they use on multiple fingernails. There was glue from the process on my fingers. And yet I was charged for the full dip manicure. Prices are not listed so they can keep upping them. Overall, I am done giving Chesco another chance. Find another place in West Chester, there are so many! read more

The place is getting popular that they are painfully understaffed. Wouldve given 1 star but i ahve had better visits than the one i had yesterday. I even gave them 4 stars before. But please CHESCO GET MORE STAFF!! I had to wait for 2 hours and had to leave in the middle of my session coz i had a previous appointment...and they still made me PAY! None of the staff had touched my hands yet they still made me pay $10. I made an appointment before, got a shorter wait but they was still a significant amount for someone who mad an appointment.
