COMPLETE GEL LIFTING MEANS THE GEL SEPARATES ENTIRELY FROM THE NATURAL NAIL, OFTEN DUE TO POOR PREP (OILS, DEAD SKIN), IMPROPER CURING, AND/OR USING INCOMPATIBLE PRODUCTS! Christmas week with ratty nails . Called Saturday to make appointment with a particular tech. Arrived for the appointment and the only male there started to prep nails for soak off. When I asked when my tech would be taking over I received "What can she do for you that I can't?" He was so angry! I should have left then but did not. With tears in my eyes I let him finish the sloppiest and most painful manicure I've ever had. I had brought a photo of what I wanted, definitely not what I received. The polish is uneven down to the nail bed, sloppy with gel baked onto the skin, filing uneven. My "old hands" did not cause the horrible, painful, bloody, and incomplete cuticle removal. Someone from the shop called me (ONCE NOT TWICE) and left a message to contact the shop for a resolution, which I was going to do today. Seeing the insulting and passive agressive response to the review was disturbing to say the least. This is not a good way to resolve things, right? My real issue is two different times that I scheduled with his wife and she screwed up my appointment. And she didn't have time. ask me if I wanted a pedicure, which I already had a week before, that at the same place. More recently, I called the night before. And said, can I please come in tomorrow evening after 4:30 for a pedicure with Quang and she said, yes, tomorrow she told me 5 instead. I show up and again She screwed up my appointment. Quang apologized and said she isn't good with english. She did offer for herself to do it. But quite frankly, i really didn't care for her much i don't think she's that she is that friendly. The woman tried out maybe 6 or 7 different colors on me to get the exact match. She was super patient in getting me the right color and I really appreciated that. She filed down my acrylics and added the new color, all for $25!!! I was amazed at the price for such a meticulous job. She even drilled under my nails, which I've never had any salon ever do. My mom got a mani-pedi, and then got her eyebrows and upper lip waxed. She said the woman (same woman) did such a meticulous job, doing multiple passes to do it perfectly. We so appreciated how meticulous and thorough they were, and they have SO many colors. It's a shame we're only here to visit family, otherwise this would be our go-to salon.
