This is my go to nail salon! I originally started coming because it was close and convenient to work. Now I go out of my way to come here! It is the best mani pedi in the area for the money! The standard pedicure includes a sugar scrub on your legs, a quality leg massage, and a hot stone treatment! They have high end pedicure chairs, and private waxing rooms, and sixteen drying stations. I love the variety of polishes including OPI, Essie, China Glaze, and Butter London. The best part? You'll always find the seasonal releases on display! I had my eyebrows waxed there once and felt they were a bit thin for my liking, but not terrible by any means! They don't thin the polishes with Acetone (Makes the bottle last longer, but your manicure will chip so much faster) like some salons. The staff is very friendly and always remembers me, even if it's been awhile since my last visit - a nice added touch! read more

I truly do not know where to begin with the level of disappointment and disrespect. I found this place in 2022, fell in love, and even sent friends and family from Jersey to visit them. I don't know what happened during the year-long sabbatical I took from getting my nails done, but apparently, a lot changed. I called ahead to make an appointment for my friends and me, stating I wanted a design done as I have had it several times before. They have even posted many pictures of my hands on their social media. My friends and I all got builder gel. Despite my one friend starting 20-30 minutes after me, she still finished before me. The man doing my nails immediately had an attitude when I declined acrylic, as it's not my preference. He tried to argue that my nails would break, but I assured him I've had them done here before and they're fine. During the nail tech's constant phone/texting breaks and his ignoring me anytime I tried to talk to him, I had time to notice the roach on the floor behind my friend's chair. I also noticed staff literally walking around it instead of picking it up. After over an hour of this, I had enough and picked it up/ threw it away myself. To make matters worse, after I picked it up, my other friend and I locked eyes at another one, and you guessed it, I also threw it out for them (I hadn't even sat down from throwing out the first one yet). I then returned to my chair, and after being assured the man could do my design, it was very apparent he had no clue what he was doing. I had asked at the beginning and was reassured that if he couldn't do it, we could choose another design. After my friend tried to show him a how-to video, and he displayed my hand to a coworker to then laugh at it, I was unbelievably uncomfortable. These are my birthday nails, and this entire experience and this man's interaction with me were getting worse and worse. But I'm pulling through as I have no other opportunity before my birthday. A lady then comes over to take over, only to reprimand me that I'm taking too long and should have booked ahead of time and checked in with the design, loudly in front of everyone. I'm even more overwhelmed by the public announcement and everything I went through with the guy. I start to get emotional, and my friend has to explain that I literally did all those things. I will say the lady tried, but she tried to rush and only did half the nail versus the entire nail, to which I tried to explain that's not right. She gets upset with me again, saying it won't look exactly like the picture, to which I respond that I know, however, I'm asking for you to do the entire nail like the picture, not 1/4 of it. I then tell her I no longer feel comfortable and just want to leave. She apologizes, and we agree on a plain polish just so I can leave and get out of this situation. After her making it clear I was taking too long while ignoring that the previous employee not only showed a lack of professionalism and spent more dedication to texting and making fun of a very uncomfortable situation, I declined any after service once the nails were done. My friend was given a gift card as an apology for me after she asked to speak with the lady privately, as she is in the industry as well. Honestly, after this experience, I will not return nor would I give that gift card to a friend, and will no longer refer a friend, family member, let alone enemy to this place. I did not have a good experience at American nails in Paoli. My nail lady was so aggressive when using the nail shaver around my cuticles. All of my nails started bleeding. I have had many friends tell me this happened too. I payed an outrageous amount for the quality. I should not be paying $75 to be in pain the whole time and not even end up happy. I was with a friend as well and my nail lady started arguing with her over nothing and just kept going. She also continued to say that the Bride is a crazy b**** as she walked to her pedicure chair. Not to mention - the bride is a regular client at American Nails and has recommended this nail salon to many individuals. Nail Experience - Emma continued to tell her coworkers since we are a cheap wedding party to not take their time and to just rush. I had to politely ask Emma to reshape my nails as they were squared off on one side and rounded on the other. She started to mumble under breath to her coworker. There are air bubbles in my nails and she did not fix the way she painted my nails - due to her rushing to finish painting my nails. The nail tech doing the Brides nails rushed and even cut the bride while rushing. The gel on the brides nails are also thick and the design lines were not carefully painted on. Payment Time - When it came time to pay for our nails the lady at the front desk said "I shouldn't have booked this party they can't even afford gel - this is such a waste of time". EXTREMELY disappointing. First, I was seated in a pedicure chair to receive a manicure - there was no glass divider for protection against COVID and nail file shavings got all over me. I finally sat down to get a refill and the lady I had kept stopping and going to work on another person (and never washed her hands in between clients). I was thinking about just leaving but she already started the process. She messed up the gel nail polish on my one nail, smudge it with a brush and just put a clear coat over it. She only did one coat on black so the French tip is pretty much translucent ,now it looks horrendous. She was rushing the entire time so I was just so happy to get out of there. I had a dip ombré done last month and it was absolutely incredible - they did such a great job! When I came back to remove my acrylics and do the dazzle polish, I felt like the my nails were super lumpy looking and was hoping they would be fixed but they weren't touched up at all and I was sent home. I already had to put a top layer of polish to "fix" them and not even 1 day went by and all my nails are chipping when the dazzle polish is supposed to last even longer. Well, unfortunately I have to rate the spa at this number I previously had visited receiving services for a mani pedi. That was several months ago while house searching. It appeared to be a good job so I thought I'd come back, well, this time I walked in just to ask if someone could take me as a walk-in, the receptionist at the desk looked around and was about to answer however the owner or at least it appear to be the owner said no come another day and you call first. I recently had my first appt since the pandemic started. The place as usual was immaculate. The staff All were very friendly & welcoming whether they worked on me or not. I was impressed by the quality of the plexiglass barriers between worker & customer, which did bot detract from the overall decor of the place. Every effort was made to put the client at ease. Although the place was very busy the noise level was not intrusive. I feel a little disappointed that I waited so long to return to this oasis of pleasure & cleanliness. 3 weeks ago I had made an appt with someone, got there and they assigned me someone else. It was my first time (although my Daughter goes there often and says there is one that is really mean to her) anyways I ended up liking and loving my nails! So I decided to book an appointment with the same person for today, May 30th to get my nails done again for my son's graduation. I got there they assigned me someone new, not the one I booked the appointment with, I use hearing aids and I could not hear her, she seemed rushed, and was really rough, so much so I ended up bleeding and in pain, had to stop to buy antibiotic ointment on my way home. Not only that but the nails are uneven, some with bubbles, some are thick, some have dents. So now not only are uneven I have to use a darn bandaid on my freshly manicured finger. Such a difference from my first experience. Why do they let you book with someone if they are going to assign whoever. It was an awful experience this time and I went there for a special occasion. I came here about a week ago to get a full set done and was very disapppointed. I always heard good things about this nail salon. When I got there one of the workers asked me if I had ever been there before, I told him it was my first time. I felt very rushed. The lady who did my nails rushed the entire thing which lead to an awful manicure. When I left there I had cuticles still popping out, paint dripping down the back of my nail, 2 of my nails werent even glued on all the way, they were all different shapes and sizes, the gel didn't even look like gel, and 5 days later two of the nails have already fallen off. My friend got the exact same thing as me and was charged $40 whereas I was charged $42, which did not make sense to me. I was very disappointed. read more

They did a wonderful job. I called ahead to make sure I wouldn't be waiting too long and they were willing to answer any questions I had. Once I was there they explained the whole process for what I wanted (a gel extension manicure - $40) and how often to come in for refills (if someone washes their hands a lot- like a nurse or teacher- it should be every three weeks, but most people can push to four weeks, or when they see too much new nail growth). They also explained the difference between adding a regular polish versus a gel polish (longevity mainly). If I chose a gel polish they said that it would add an additional $15, but if I didn't want it, that my nails would still look beautiful and last pretty long (no pressure). Irene did a great job and had no problem with my input as she was shaping my nails. I also watched how the staff interacted with each other and the customers. Everyone was very nice, and most of the staff was focused on their customers to ensure they had a good experience. The decor is plain- this is not a fancy place, but I don't mind. I thought that the salon was clean and used good practices. They have a ton of options and I like how everything is listed on their website; it makes it easier for a first time customer to figure out what they want and around how much they will spend. The prices were very reasonable in my opinion. They take credit cards but tips are cash only- so be prepared ahead of time. If you're not, CVS is a couple of stores down, although I thought I saw an ATM machine in the salon. read more

Went there to get a Hard Gel nail refill, however they are one of the salons that tries to cut corners. it was not smooth where the polish met my cuticles, there was a fine line and it didnt look good. When i went back to my normal salon today it took them longer to file down because whatever they used here caused a distinct color difference on my nail and they had to slowly remove parts of the hard gel on two fingers to completely redo due to the poor product they used here. read more
