He started to do the top coat of the acrylic when I stopped him to let him know that there was acrylic lifting on my nails from my last refill. He clipped it away. I told him that I didn't want to get an infection or fungus. He continued with the refill. I was then moved to the lady nail tech to polish my nails. She put 3 coats on including the top coat. As you can see there is a gap between my cuticles and the polish. I normally see this after a week to 10 days after my service. The polish is tacky to touch. My tips are rough on the ends and cuticles were not trimmed. Don't waste your time or money at this salon.

Since switching, my nails have grown so long, strong, and healthy, and a single BIAB manicure can last me up to 6 weeks! Kim, Anna, Sarah and the other women who work at Kimberton Nails are the best! I used to go to them at Country Nails and have missed them in the years they were gone. Kim has completely redone the salon from replacing all of the chairs and stations to repainting the walls in a calming shade of gray. Kim and her staff not only do a great job with nails but she makes an effort to get to know her clients. Pedicures by Annie make the world go away. Other noise and distractions can be overlooked when under the spell of her healing touch. Spa pedicure pricey but so worth it, she has a soothing healing touch that relieves stress. Even a basic pedicure is good at her hands but the spa pedicure is so worth it. When I went in, I had some trouble choosing a nail color out of a book that is covered with cellophane and I was told three times that Kaitlyn would see me as soon as I picked out a color. That meant that I should hurry. I prefer to see the actual sample against my nails to get a better idea of how it will look. Feeling rushed, I showed the technician three colors I was considering, asking if I could see them on my nails. She only brought out one bottle and applied a single coat. When I mentioned I was looking for a deeper mauve shade, she showed me bright fuchsia colors instead. When I pointed out what I was envisioning, she dismissed it, saying it wasn't mauve. When I asked to see a slightly darker shade, her response shocked me. She flatly said, "I'm not going to show you anything else. You didn't like what I picked out for you." It was clear she was angry. She then placed two boxes of polish on the table and asked me to choose, but they were still in their boxes. How could I possibly decide without seeing them on my nails or at least a piece of paper? Reluctantly, I asked her to apply the first color, even though it was too light. She had already put it away and begrudgingly went to get it. During this time, I commented to the customer next to me that it felt like I was there to get yelled at, despite being a paying customer. The technician never spoke to me again, only conversing with her coworker in Vietnamese. I even asked if there was time for a pedicure, and she curtly said yes. As I was leaving, I gave her a generous tip and calmly asked her not to speak to me in that tone again. She didn't respond or even look at me, despite speaking perfect English. I also noticed another customer having issues with her technician, who didn't speak English and was filing her natural nails too roughly despite the customer's protests. The urgency to pick a color here is overwhelming--you're given about 60 seconds. For the amount of money I spend regularly, I expect to leave the salon satisfied, not come home feeling rushed and needing to fix my nails myself. I understand that salons aim to serve as many clients as possible, but it wasn't even busy that day. What hurts the most is that the technician I've been seeing for months didn't acknowledge me as I left. It's clear she's upset with me for not picking a color quickly, but I just want to walk out of the salon happy with my nails. Is that really too much to ask?

It was a Sunday and this was the only local nail salon open. I called around 12 pm and made an appointment for 3:30. When I arrived I had time to pick out a color and then was seated at table 6. The male nail tech began taking my nail color off by using the electric nail tool. While he took my polish off he began speaking a different language to a female to his left. They were clearly speaking about my nails. He would motion to my nails and then held my hand closer for her to look. At this time I can only assume what they were saying. It really set the tone for the rest of the visit. After he took my polish, he never asked me to wash my hands to remove the dust. He never used the dry coat to remove oils, or a base coat. He just began painting directly on the acrylic. He went through one coat and it began browning. So he removed it and took another layer off. I did mention a base coat and I could not understand what he said. After all was said and done, I had color polish and clear coat in my cuticles and sides of my fingers. The polish was not smooth. I ended up removing my nails two days later. I paid $25 for a VOLOR CHANGE! I tipped $4. Crazy. In the end I think he was just going fast to get it done and be done. Then a guy walked in smelling of pot demanding his appointment. They said, it is at 4:30 and to come back. He said, "ok, well don't be late and forget about me." He never came back while I was there. I should have waited. But he been getting my nails done first over 25 years. This is a very old school type of salon. I should have known better.
