Went in for a gel manicure. Color I chose was light pink. When she applied first coat, I noticed it looked extremely light and streaky. She proceeded to bark at me, 'I'm not done yet! It takes three coats!' Like I knew this... She proceeded to cut my cuticle and seemed determined to make it hurt! I even told her once and she virtually ignored me. Next up was an eyebrow wax. Should have trusted my judgement and left then! She did waxing sitting in a chair! I explained I like my eyebrows thick and do not want much taken off... After my neck was straining from looking up, the waxing was done. Lo & behold she took way too much eyebrow away! Never again! Save your money and go anywhere else! read more

Now for the bed - I feel like the pedicure was super rushed maybe because there was other people coming in, but it wasn't super busy in there. The salon across the street, Kimberton nails, has not been very professional lately and I wanted to see if there were other places that does a job as well as their technician. I read through the reviews of this salon and decided to give it a try. The place looked super clean and smells wonderful. It smelled like vanilla coffee. The technician helped me right away. They have a special eye wax room. The table there was not so clean, I was not so happy about that. The technician did seem a bit rushed and was not as friendly, I believe it was because I did not have an appointment. She did give me a discount card at check out and asked that I call ahead next time. The discount card would give you $10 off after 10 visits. I was not super happy with my brows, but she was gentle and clean while doing her work. I am willing to go back and be more Specific on how I'd like my brows to be shaped. read more

I called the day before and made an appointment for a regular gel manicure. I arrived 10 min early, and the nail technician seemed annoyed that I was early. She asked me to pick a color, handed me a board of colors, and asked me to wait- which I was glad to do. They were all a different brand I've never heard of but I picked a color anyways. When the technician was ready, she called me over and asked what color. I pointed to the one I picked but asked her if we could please use OPI instead. She said OPI is bad now and they are moving away from using it- but this brand is good. I trusted that she knew the quality of the polish and said okay. During my appointment, I tried to make conversation with her but she just seemed annoyed the whole time, or just flat out ignored me. However, she did make it a point to tell me I had "thin nails." The total cost was $35 + tip-- a little high for just a basic gel manicure with no designs or glitter. It has only been 5 days since my manicure, and my nails are already chipping. I would rather go to a different nail salon next time that has better service, better pricing, and better quality polish. Very disappointed in this experience and manicure. Worst gel manicure I've ever had. I came here after work the other day and on my way home from the salon I noticed that there was an air bubble near the edge of my thumb nail. It has since torn and now my nails are ruined. A complete waste of time and money. I would have gone back and asked to have it fixed but I don't live near here and I had to head out of town the next day. On a more positive note though, the massage chairs here are new and really nice. Overall the place was clean and the ladies were friendly. If you are getting acrylics, I do not at all recommend. The process was done incorrectly and left my nails burning and in excruciating pain while the acrylic was being applied. The french manicure was not aesthetically pleasing and simply looked sloppy despite being quite pricy ($55). My nails were filed down so much that my real nails have split under the acrylic which has never happened until I gave this place a try. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received and will not be returning. read more

Conversation was friendly and positive. When I sat to have my nails dry for the final touch, received a neck and upper back massage. I felt like a million bucks. Better yet, the price was right. Both ladies were wonderful, and the salon itself is very clean, modern,and it's very easy to communicate as many of the ladies speak excellent English. Very disappointed in this place, especially after seeing all the good reviews. Came here for my 1st time on a Friday & there were 3 customers & 4 employees. They saw me right away but turned away the woman who came in right after me because they were too busy. I also overheard the owner turn customers away for same day appointments via phone. This was surprising to me considering the owner & another employee had time to play games on their phones in between customers. The woman who worked on me was nice and the massage with hot stones felt great; however it was so slow! I am not the kind of person who enjoys being at a nail salon for 2 hours. HOWEVER after 2hrs and $65 later I would expect my nails to look amazing and last a while. This was not the case, only 4 days later both my toes and gel manicure are both chipping. I've been going here for several years now and won't even consider going anywhere else. Angela (the owner) is so friendly along with the rest of the staff. They offer wonderful customer service and the spa area is so clean and sanitary. The proof is in their pudding - the manis, pedis and waxing services. They really take their time and pay attention to detail. On average, I go for a mani, pedi and waxing(s) and it usually takes between 2-2.5hrs total and I believe for those three services I pay about $68 so if you're in a rush I probably wouldn't bet on leaving any earlier than that time. I'm sure you can ask if they're able to do the mani and pedi at the same time to cut down on the total time, but if you're able to, stay and enjoy yourself! The piece de resistance though is the massage chair and the hand massage during the pedicure, which feels like an eternity and then finished off with another hot stone massage on the legs. And then to top it off, they give you a hot stone massage on your back while you're drying your nails. And my eyebrow waxes are always done impeccably. Love this place and along with all the other reviewers, you just can't give this place less than the five stars it deserves! read more

Most places I haven't bothered with more than once, but I definitely intend to go back here. I got a pedicure, it was $35. The accept credit cards, but only cash for tips. Everybody was friendly and the place was very clean. They really take their time and massage your legs and feet, which is what I find lacking with most of the other places I've tried. After thoroughly rubbing, they then get a hot stone and rub some more. If that wasn't enough, another person comes and rubs your back with a hot stone while you are drying. Pedicure lasted about 1 hr 15 min and included hot stone massage, lavender mask, leg massage, shoulder massage while toes are drying. Perfect! Eyebrow wax was quick and painless.
