I have been struggling to find a local place that has a focus on quality and cleanliness and this one is it. I get a gel manicure every 2 to 3 weeks. I've been going to manicure lane since moving back into the area. The salon is exceptionally clean, the staff is nice and I'm always extremely happy with my nails when they're finished. I am extremely picky about my manicures and Kim always exceeds my expectations. I always get gel manicures and Kim always does an amazing job. Generally, I will get a manicure every 2.5-3 weeks; however, I have gone 4 weeks before without needing my nails redone (except for the unsightly growth). For the cost of service, friendliness of the staff members and the cleanliness of the salon, I wouldn't go anywhere else, let alone think of going anywhere else. Love Manicure Lane! First, I'm not sure why people complain about them not taking walk-ins: make an appointment people! It's not that hard to plan ahead. The space is remarkably clean and relaxing with its tranquil decor. The prices are reasonable, people are friendly and welcoming. And the most important factor is that they do a fantastic job! I have mixed emotions only giving three stars because most of the time the service is impeccable but the other times I end up to frustrated that I want to scream. I truly don't understands why we make an appointment when they don't hold up their end of the deal because they take too many walkins ahead of our set appointment and hen we have to wait. For example, today we made 2pm appointments for 2 people to get a manicure and pedicure. We raced to get here at 2pm, we were 5 minutes early and told that it would be a 20 minute wait?! Huh?! I look around the place and realize it is packed and 20 minutes was not going to get us into a chair. Also when they are so busy the quality of service drops tremendously, so now I am double disappointed because I know I am not going to be happy and pay a great deal of money not to be. Again, most of the time it is not like this but when it is I leaves such a bad impression on me. Not worth it. My usual nail salon was out of the way, so I planned to stop here. First, they are pretty insistent that you have an appointment despite empty chairs, so I followed the rules and made an appointment. I chose the 7 day polish (not gel) and it barely lasted a day. By day 3 it was chipping so badly that I had to take it off. I was out if town for business, otherwise I would have gone back for a redo. They tend to charge more than most salons in the area without offering a chair massage. I get the feeling they are trying to be an upscale place, and it looks very clean and pretty, but if my polish wears off that quickly, it's not upscale. Won't be going back. read more

I've heard great things about Manicure Lane for months but never had the opportunity to stop because i always had acrylic. I stopped today when they opened and despite there being several people who had appointments i only had to wait 10-15ish minutes which was not a problem at all. The place is absolutely beautiful inside. The colors are so relaxing and it doesn't have any of the chemical smell that other nail places do since they don't do acrylic. I had Vanessa and she did a great job. She made sure i was happy with the shape of my nails before painting and gave a nice hand massage with lotion when it was done. read more

This place is way over priced and they use the cheapest products! I went here for a gel manicure and my nails (3 of them) began to chip four days later. I called and the receptionist was very apologetic and squeezed me in that day to fix them. When I got there, the girl looked at my nails and said that the girl who did them originally (Betty) did not "paint my edges correctly" and she offered to fix all of them. Then she put on the foils to take off the polish and left me sitting there for over 20 minutes. The place was not crowded- all of the girls were chit chatting in the back. I took off my own foils and filed my own nails and when I was about to walk out, the receptionist caught me and grabbed the girl who was supposed to do my nails. Then she did my nails and my nails began to chip AGAIN one week later. do not waste your money-- they are priced higher than the average nail salon and use sub-par supplies. read more

I am literally obsessed with this salon! It is by far the most gorgeous salon I have ever gotten my nails done at (and I have tried many and am super picky). The staff is amazing and so welcoming!! They are on top of making sure all their customers are well taken care of, happy and comfortable! My gel nails stay way beyond two weeks without breaking and the pedicures last well over a month but I like going every four weeks since no one wants long toe nails obviously and the chairs are just so comfortable! I have been coming to this salon since the day they opened and have been there every two weeks since! I am beyond impressed and I wouldn't drive 30 minutes to get my nails done if it wasn't worth it and they absolutely make it worth it!! Thank you all! This salon truly is my happy place! I decided to try a new place for a manicure and pedicure in Chester county. It was a welcome surprise from the moment you walk in the door it is so relaxing with friendly staff at the front desk. I made an after work appointment the day before. It is open until 7. The salon is beautifully decorated with tranquil colors of white and turquoise color scheme. The pillows have "happy place" on them. I had to wait a few extra minutes before my pedicure. It was not an issue as I was directed to start soaking my feet for my pedicure. The seats are comfortable although they do not recline you can remove the pillow and it has a remote for massaging. My pedicure with thorough and relaxing. The other nice feature of the salon is the fact manicures are done at the manicure bar. Beverages are served and if you are a wine drinker, red or white wine. Another highlight is the kid's menu for kids under 12. I know my daughter will love it. My preference is to return during the week or after work. Other features free wi-fi and fume-free. Completely disappointing experience. This salon was not a relaxing experience at all, which was what I was looking for. It was super busy and loud. The technician talked to me the entire time and voiced her views on politics and religion as well as dropping a few "f" bombs which was completely inappropriate. I did voice my concern to the person at the desk and they offered to get the manager but after waiting 30 minutes just for my appointment to start and then it taking more that two hours for a mani pedi because the technician wouldn't stop talking and concentrate on her task, I just wanted to get out of there. We arrived at 12:20 and waited. Was then told did not have 3 chairs together. Seat my mom and daughter together and have me wait in the seating area. Have technician start with my mom at 12:30 and have my daughter soak next to her. No technician for my daughter. It is now 1pm and I just was seated, no technician. And after 30 mins technician is just starting on my daughter. Absolutely unacceptable. I told the gentleman that appears to be the manager that this was very disappointing and I am not happy. I arrived at manicure lane for a 4 pm appointment for gels. The salon has a cool atmosphere, and does not smell terribly like most nail salons. I was greeted by the receptionist who offered water, and was super friendly. I waited for 30 minutes for my appointment. The gel manicurist was friendly and did a fair job. Upon leaving I looked at my gels which had bubbles in 5 of my nails. I know very little regarding gels, but I know they should be solid, without bubbles. Needless to say, I went to the beach the next day, and they all peeled off naturally within 48 hours. I loved the atmosphere, and would try the salon again, but the nails itself did not last or look as great as other salons. read more
