I was looking for a last minute for a formal style for my college roommate's wedding and Cynthia was able to fit me in and achieved the most perfect look and I was so happy and pleased with the outcome. My vision of my hair and the finished product was identical! I have Vietnamese hair and it tends to straighten out through the day no matter what style and Cynthia along with a colleague, were able to have my hair stay put all night!! BUYER BEWARE: I feel so sad for my teenaged daughter who made an appointment for a single process color today and came out with a 291$ bill (before tip) on the morning of her Homecoming dance. She works a minimum wage job and this only wanted a single process (Bella salon charges 130$ for their most senior stylist, FYI.). This salon charged her 180$ for the single process (which is higher than I've ever paid, but ok?), then it was 85$ for an "end trim" that she didn't want or ask for but was pressured into and when asked directly how much more a trim would cost, was told 20$ (by the OWNER) and then she charged another 26$ for a deep conditioning (never told that was another upsell.). Total bill: 291$ - estimated 115$. I was SURE this was an error at the register - surely I couldn't have been off on my estimate by almost 60%? so I called the salon when she got home in tears. I was informed that the single process that she got was typically 271$ or some crazy amount like that - hard to believe, and that she gave her a discount already cause she's so nice- her words!!? She admitted that she told my daughter the trim would be only $20 more for the haircut, even though my daughter's bill says women's haircut $85. She wouldn't refund any part of that and offered to remove the conditioning treatment, again that she didn't ask for, with a warning to me that I should help her to ask more questions when going to a salon about pricing. (remember which she did on the hair trim and was lied to and then overcharged on that as well, so...) From the owners OWN mouth, ask about pricing for everything at this place, kids! (And if she says only 20$ more, ask for the final TOTAL cost cause she might pull some fancy ninja combo charging matrix on you at the end like she did to my kid!). And if you don't, don't expect any mercy for your young child who didn't know better- Ms. Grim has none to give. read more

If you're looking for thorough and affordable I would highly recommend the Brazilian waxes particularly with Andie. I've gotten a hundreds of waxes over the years using the hard wax and even strips, and I can tell you, you're not going to find a better waxer. Comfort, ease, painless and thorough are all words I would use to descibe the wax I got. Usually waxers will miss hard to reach areas, however my wax with Andie had me so incredibly smooth and ready for date night and even the pool. Don't waste anymore money or time going somewhere where you don't feel comfortable, she makes the process easy and low stress. What have you got to loose? Exactly what i asked for, but even better! I went to get my hair cut and colored with Jenn Jackson. I brought pictures of what I wanted and after a quick consultation we were on our way to a very satisfying result. (As someone who typically ends up with a brassy look to my blonde hair, it was a very cool, icy blonde!) The Salon itself is very clean and nicely laid out. The staff was very friendly. Jenn took my back to her station, looked at my hair and the pictures of what i requested. She professionally suggested her opinion on the best course of action to obtain what I want. Some foils, toning and an incredible hair wash later, i was very happy. The end result was incredible! No brass, clean ends, a root touch up and even a great style! I ended up here from a gift card that I was given by a friend. The first time I went I got an eyebrow wax. Which the girl was extremely nice and did a good job. The second time I went I received a facial. I have had black head problems and I need some sort of assistance to help cleanse my face. The girl who helped was extremely knowledgeable and she was able to clear my face from the facial she gave me. I can't remember either one of their names. The first girl I mentioned does the facial waxing & is a hairstylist definitely recommend her. The woman who did my facial has a really cool accent & she knows what she is talking about! The place is beautiful and the staff at the front desk is very polite, but you have stick to the appointment otherwise you aren't seen. I need flexibility due to work and other engagements so this place is not a good fit. I had to skip another appointment to get a hair cut and because I was late I ended up not doing either. I had been going every 5 weeks for cut and roots/ highlights. Last time I was there the stylist ruined my hair. Had bad chemical burn on scalp and patches where there were black tiny nubs in my blond hair When she was applying color, I complained that something was wrong- severe burning on scalp. She laughed and told me not to be a 'wimp'. Then let it process for 35 minutes. The girl who shampooed me was horrified when she saw all of the black nubs of hair. Fortunately most have now grown back but my thick wavy hair will never be the same. This stylist was always more interested in the client she cut while waiting for processing me. I'm not certain that the use of wrong developer was intentional but I am never going back to find out. read more

Did someone say PUMPKIN FACIAL?? Amazing facial with Andie!!! She was so knowledgeable about what I should be doing with my skin. The facial was one of the best ever! I have never had a facial that left me feeling so relaxed, energized and glowing! This is a WIN! You can opt out of getting the Pumpkin Mask at the end and the facial will still be AMAZING, but the Pumpkin Mask was a special touch, and just what my tired skin needed!!! I had been an Ultimate Image for 15 years. From high school proms, to visits home from college, and now to my late 20s. But after my last experience I will NEVER go back. Last visit I got there a few minutes early and the receptionist informed that they would tell my stylist. I was only getting a trim it should have been quick in and out. I waited 35 minutes before saying I had to leave and I couldn't wait anymore. No one came to update me as I was waiting that they were running behind or it would be a few more minutes. I knew Ultimate Image has a policy that they will cancel your appointment if you are more than 20 minutes late which I knew so I felt that it was okay to say I was leaving. As I was telling the receptionist that I was upset by the service the owner was standing there to the side and looked at me and looked away. The receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule as I left... are you kidding?! The owner of this salon should have stopped me and apologized or saw if there was anything that could have been done. Clearly my business there is not wanted. The salon has great stylists as well as estheticians (eyebrow waxes and facials). But I think customer service is worth so much more than that. Because of that I will never recommend this salon to anyone (unless there is new ownership). Save yourself a visit and find a different salon. read more

Don't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Literally the worst experience of my life. I had an appointment for today and went in excited to go from my blonde hair to a pretty caramel brown... What I got was a muddy dark dark brown color not even anywhere close to the picture I showed the stylist. Her attempt to "fix" it was to stick me back in the sink and throw some lightener on it. By the time I finally got up my hair was fried and an ugly duller color still no where close to the caramel brown I was hoping for. Then when I went to check out I stood at the front desk complaining about my less than satisfactory hair color and how much hair dye the stylist got ALL OVER MY FACE! I literally mean all over my face. Dark hair color two inches around my hairline, on my cheek, both ears, and my neck. ((I took pictures)) As I complained and pointed out all the dye on my face and the terrible color the lady behind the front desk told me "just leave".... Their is good news though. Andie is everything & more in what I want in an esthetician. I immediately knew I was in good hands (literally and figuratively). Andie asked great questions about my skin, chose her lotions and potions and I relaxed to a level that I can't remember doing in...well...ever. I felt so comfortable, not only physically, but the fact that she doesn't have an ego and asked me to let her know if I would like her to do anything differently so that I would continue to enjoy myself...Ahhh, heaven. Let's talk about the salon...where do I start, the salon is beautifully decorated and just as important, it is CLEAN. beware before trying ultimate image salon, do yourself a favor and don't. i moved back to the suburbs after many years away and needed a salon out here for my color. so i called ultimate image and they told me nicole would be available. i said great lets book it. what a mistake. she messed my hair color up and after she did told me i would need to come back another day to fix it because she was too busy that day with other appointments. when i told her no! she relented and indeed worked on the color until i was somewhat satisfied. because i was so upset about the horrible color i had just received, i was not paying attention to my hair cut. she asked me about length and i said maybe 1/2 " well she took 3" i told her i had cowlicks and i was growing out my layers and she took 5" off my layers. so i now have a shag haircut that i never asked for. i had long flowing hair that was beautiful and she completely wacked it off. after crying for 3 days i called the salon to speak with the owner jim. well he refused to speak with me and instead put his receptionist on the phone to do his dirty work. if you want a salon who truly cares about you then *do not* go to ultimate image salon. jim should really be ashamed of himself. if hair and making people feel good about themselves is his business then he may consider changing professions and go work at fast food joint where the standards are much lower...he would fit right in. read more
