The stylist rolled her eyes when I told her I would like my hair washed (in hindsight I should have just left right then, but I was in need of a cut and with 2 little kids at home didn't have the time to go to my usual place). She rolled her eyes again when I told her I wanted it blow dried. Their price sheet said $30 for a full-service cut which was listed as shampoo, conditioning, cut, blow dry and style. When I went to the front desk to pay, the owner asked me to pay $45 (it was just a trim and hadn't even styled my hair). The owner said styling is always extra and that I should have told them ahead of time that I would like it styled. Honestly i didn't really care, i just didn't want my hair to be frizzy and look like i just woke up from bed after a $45 hair-cut ($45 is more than what some of the stylists at Adolf Biecker on Mainline charge). But the worst part was what happened next. When I asked the simple question "why is the charge different from what is advertised" (I really would have been satisfied with a simple answer), the owner picked a fight with me, would not return my receipt for me to sign so she could continue to engage in a fight with me. She went on to use the phrase "All you Indians.." (she looked Indian or Pakistani, so I didn't quite understand what that racist comment meant!!). At one point, I really wanted to run out of there because I truly thought she was going to hit me! One girl to another, please do NOT go to this salon. Save time, money, headaches (and your eyebrows, hair etc) and just stay away!
