A cute, serine little spa right in town- the front is a shop and you can book a variety of treatments here. Despite the lovely setting, I didn't have a great massage experience. I paid for a 60 min deep tissue massage and I got something more like a soft back rub. The whole hour kind of felt like a warm up - I asked twice to increase the pressure and she never really got to digging, so I left in a very similar state as when I arrived, with a tight knotty back that really needed to be worked on. I have been a regular customer at Remedi Day Spa for several years. I typically get the microdermabrasion Facial which includes not only a head massage but massage of the arms and hands too..in addition to all the wonderful masks and creams used during the facial experience. This place is great! I had a groupon for a facial, and the whole experience was amazing. Victoria is very knowledgeable (I think she said she previously worked with dermatologists) and she caters to your skin's needs specifically. It's not one of those places that just applies the same process to everyone that walks in, she asks questions and looks to see what your skin most needs. I have very sensitive skin and in the past some facials have left me red and itchy, despite me warning them. But Victoria kept this in mind and I was left with smooth hydrated skin, no bad reactions whatsoever. I'm amazed! She knows a lot about treating skin conditions like eczema and acne, too! I bought Christmas gift certificates for my mom and I to go for a mother daughter day in WC LAST CHRISTMAS. We finally went today and almost a year later they still honored my $120 for two facials. They were running a bit late (15-20 minutes) but the wait was well worth it. Victoria is great and was very friendly/explained what she was doing throughout the process. She was gentle with the extractions as well. Clean and nice interior. She did my face, neck, arms and shoulders which was awesome. Overall I really enjoyed it and so did my mom! I booked a 1 hour massage and instead of having a relaxing experience it was more of a "when will this be over" experience. Before it even began I was waiting around for the therapist to show up. She came flying in after her lunch and quickly got herself in order to get me. Once I got back there and on the table I realized that wasn't going to be my only negative experience. First, there was a ton of light in the room and in my experience the room is always dark because it promotes a sense of calm. Second, the table squeaked the entire time which doesn't allow for you to fully relax. The massage itself was just ok...it felt rushed at times, uneven as far as how much time was spent on each body part. I gave it 2 stars because the woman was friendly. read more
