They do a great job at this location. Making an appointment is easy and convenient with many time slots available. I'm always seen immediately for my appointment as soon as I walk in the door. The wax used at European Wax Center is less painful then the type of wax used at other salons. The girls are always friendly and explain each step of the way while you are being waxed. 10 minutes and I'm in and out! read more

i booked with Juliana bc her bio said she was meticulous. after my appointment i went to the mirror to check for missed hairs...She told me she has another client after and rushed me out. When i got home i see patches of missed hairs. Not satisfied On the other hand, Ashley was great and Leah was very kind. I went back in for a cleanup and noticed .. i still had hairs left. I'm so disappointed. I never had this happen before. My wax should've been completed the first time go . I now made two trips back-and-forth, I'm still unsatisfied and I even called and spoke with someone and was told I would receive a call back and never did... read more

The wax specialist i had was great but seemed to be rushed. From what i see in my experience and the friends i have that go to this company say, management books appointments back to back and doesnt give alot of time. Its definitely quantity over quality here. Nails salons offer a slower pace when waxing and in comparison, that says alot being this is a "spa". They want you to add on, buy product and rebook after speeding through your appointment. All about money. I feel bad for the wax specialists. UPDATE: the company mentions they will discuss with management but clearly they dont. From what i understand, the way they move their specialists up is to speed up the service they offer with clients. How is this allowed? Customers pay a good price for a service the company requires their staff to finish is a timely manner. Quantity over quality at EWC. read more

I've been a EWC customer for years, having visited locations in 4 different states. I've always had good luck with requesting any waxer until my appointment at the exton location. The 90s called, they want my eyebrows back. I asked for a light clean up and I got two thin lines across my forehead, one of which is significantly higher than the I'm so nervous they aren't going to grow back and I'll be stuck with them forever. The front desk staff was very nice, but my waxer didn't even tell me her name until I asked her directly (Alison). She wasn't nice or rude, just very apathetic. Now I have to go to a family reunion looking like someone from Tigerbeat circa 1999. Fantastic. ‍ Will stick to my usual location from now on. Updating to add: the salon contacted me and refunded my service and gave me a credit on my account. Very nice of them. read more

The lady in front was acting weird, didn't wanted to provide information about pricing and seemed just don't care. The lady who've done the job was rushing the process, couldn't removed some hair and asked me very annoyed if I want them to shave that. For a 100$ i can shave at home with less stress and pain. Horrible service for the price. I will just shave it at home or go to Chinese nail/wax place where is less attitude for a reasonable price. read more

My first ever wax was quick and painless but I feel like barely any hair was removed and it was super uneven between sides. Luckily I didn't have any irritation so that was good. My service was free but I wouldn't have paid for that. read more

I have a consistent waxer elsewhere but I went in because my person had a full book. I went in and my eyebrows were a bit shorter than I like and I wasn't shown a mirror at the end of my wax. Good vibes but a lack of effort. read more

kiya thank you soo much. after having my baby last month a wax is much needed i feel great a women again

I've left a review for this wax center before because they placed me with the wrong wax specialist, and i'm leaving another because they did it again. my waxer, sabrina, left, so i searched up and down these reviews for someone that people gave a good review. i finally mustered up the courage to book with someone new (elonnie, not sure if that's how you spell it) and i was confident bc ppl left good reviews about her. i'm sure anyone can understand that it's very nerve wracking to find a new waxer when you've been consistent with one person. so, i went in and they gave me someone named khalice (not sure if that's how you spell it) and she was very kind, but i'm not gonna lie, the wax was not that great. why does this place keep booking me with the wrong person? it's so frustrating! im too loyal of a customer for this treatment. it's not hard to book someone with the right person. i gave this 2 stars bc the waxer i had was very nice. her style of waxing just wasn't my favorite. read more

Scheduled an appointment for 3:30pm and was left waiting for 26 minutes. I patiently waited without complaining since I had some time but this is highly unprofessional. Will never be returning to this location. read more

Everytime I call and book with a specific waxer but when I get there they always send me with someone else. I ask where my waxer is and they never give a straight answer; I get the feeling they have a high turnover rate. I assume it may have something to do with the tense atmosphere, unprofessional "managers" and rude front desk workers. Whenever I voice a concern or ask a question, the only response I get it are questions about my wax pass and whether or not I want to "add" services. All they care about is the money here and no one seems to be concerned with running a professional business. Most of the staff seem extremely young and lack experience, including the manager. I won't be back to this location and will try a local business from now on the chains are only concerned with their profits and don't take the time to properly train and/or oversee their staff. read more

My first experience getting waxed and I was a little nervous. The technician Falon/Fallon made me so comfortable. She has amazing bed side manner and explained everything as she was doing it. She made sure that I was okay. I've already scheduled my next appointment with her. read more

I always look at the reviews to double check that the technician I'm booking with is well liked and does a good job! No regrets seeing Billie's name and booking a Brazilian with her. She did a really great job with a painless and quick wax and was super nice to talk with too! Definitely will see her again. I recommend. read more

Worst experience I've ever had. Was 10 minutes late to my appointment and they still wouldn't take me because of their 9 minute policy. Which don't forget that they don't mention when you book online ANYWHERE during the process of booking and make you pay for a reservation and don't refund you if you can't reschedule. I understand places have policies but life also happens and to be late one extra minute and still be denied when I had to leave in the middle of work for my appointment. This was my first time trying this center and it WILL BE MY LAST. Absolutely nothing was done to compensate me except basically I was told there is nothing we can do. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

All of the employees are super personable and friendly. I can't really complain about them pushing packages on me because I kept up with my waxes, so it made sense to purchase them. One thing I will say, and after seeing several different wax specialists, I have had a reoccurring issue of SEVERE ingrown hairs since I started two years ago, and even after I stopped more than seven months ago. I purchased every product recommended to me to get some type of relief, but I am convinced their ingrown hair serum is just water in a bottle. I purchased the exfoliater as well, did absolutely nothing. Each time I would bring this up to a specialist they would ask what I was doing to take care of my skin, and after telling them exactly what they recommended, they contradict themselves and tell me what they told me not to do previous visits after realizing none of their advice is truthful. Each time the wax was way too hot (which I told them and they shrugged it off) and they applied the wax not with the growth or against the growth, but HORIZONTAL which is where I suffer from the ingrowns. After doing research it makes a lot of sense why I was getting them, and still do. My pores are now damaged and the hair is trained to grow into my skin. It wasn't my lack of taking care of my skin, it was the "technique" they use. Not to mention after every visit I found myself plucking too many stray hairs that should not have been there for the amount of pain and money I was spending. Overall I'm just disappointed because as professionals they should know what to do and what not to do when waxing a client. I am not as concerned about the money, but it is just very disappointing that I now have permanent scaring and imperfections in my skin that make me more insecure than the hair that I wanted removed. I have lost my trust in EWC and probably will not be returning to finish my wax pass. read more

Two stars only because the beginning of my service there was wonderful. Then my waxer left and it was all downhill from there. My next two appointments with the new waxer, pretty sure the girl actually didn't know what a Brazilian is, because she didn't do it... was offered credit for one of those appointments but never got it. At that point I started having significant issues with ingrown hairs etc., and just bad wax jobs. If I'm getting waxed religiously every four weeks why do I have inch long hair anywhere? Spent $100 in product to combat, and started with another girl. Ran out the balance of my package because what was I going to do, accept their $20 offer to buy out my last four appointments? Absolutely not. So at this point still battling the ingrown hair issue, and I've just given up getting waxed until I can find out where my first girl went and go to her. read more

This is only my second time ever getting waxed, however, this was my first time at an EWC location. The ladies at the front desk were okay. Not super welcoming, but that's fine. I went back with my waxer, Ashley who was very nice. The front desk mixed me up with another client, so Ashley thought I was getting an eyebrow wax, not a Brazilian so surprise for her lol. She was very nice and did make me feel very comfortable and the wax did not hurt much at all. Once I got home I noticed that there was still a good amount of hair left that was long enough to be waxed but must have been missed. My hair also grew back a lot faster than my last wax and I have really bad ingrown hairs. Overall, Ashley was good but I am not happy with the results. I will not be returning. Update: Spoke to the manager from this location. She was very nice and listened to me regarding my experience. She gave me a full refund which I wasn't expecting and told me if I choose to come in again my experience will be much better. She also informed me that customers have up to 5 days after service to come in for a complimentary touch up if spots are missed which is great! She gave me hope to maybe try this place again. read more

I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!!! I see Erin and she's absolutely amazing. Easily the best waxer I have ever been too - anywhere. She's extremely nice and makes me feel comfortable in the room. The efficiency of her wax is on point and its always clean! I'm extremely happy to be her guest at EWC. Thanks girl!!! read more

i've been getting waxed for years, but am new to the area. today was my second time getting waxed at this location and it seemed fine until i got home and sat to use the bathroom and i couldn't because i was stuck together. I had large chunks of wax the size of my thumb nail stuck in my front and back areas that took me 20 painful minutes to remove. i still have a lot stuck that is too painful to remove so i'm going to have to go get baby oil from the store. this has never happened to me and as someone in the medical field, and my mom is an esthetician who specializes in waxing- i know that this can cause build up of germs and bacteria down there. i'm really disappointed and this has been a painful experience. i included a couple pictures of what i managed to get out but it doesn't do justice of how much wax is still stuck between my labia and in my bottom. not to mention there is wax now molded into my underwear as well. read more

Love the wax they use, unfortunately I chose this location and got a random technician. I was initially impressed at her speed waxing; that is until I got home and did a full inspection of the work and found it wanting. Hair left when there should be none. Contacting corporate is limited to 500 characters including spaces with no reply allowed. They have a 5 day performance guarantee - but why would I want to go back to a location/technician who failed in the basic job? Too far for me to warrant going back. Did get a call from the location, but I have less than no desire to speak to the technician who did the poor job. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION read more

I recently started going to this location for my waxing. If I'm being honest, I have mixed feelings about the ladies at the front desk. The receptionist was really nice the last time I went in but the time before that it was a different receptionist who checked me out and she seemed uninterested. She didn't ask me whether I wanted to setup my next appointment or anything of that sort. However, the wax specialist Billie is awesome. She is super friendly and always does an awesome job. I'll be going back to the place for my next appointment too mostly because of Billie. read more

You have to visit this place-it's clean, professional and they do amazing waxes here. I made the appointment online, the 1st time is free!! Free! And they were great! I'm coming back in the future. Prices are about average but it feels like you got more for your money. read more

I have been seeing Lauren for almost a year now and she is amazing! Super efficient which is important when getting a Brazilian.. my last place took twice as long! The place is very nice and clean inside, the people are very good with eyebrows. My problem with this place is they don't take walk ins. WORST PLACE EVER!! Do not go here! Besides the fact that they do a poor job of waxing, I heard 2 of the girls making disparaging remarks about another client. They are so unprofessional! Stay away from this trash. read more

Sabrina was AMAZING! It was my first time and she made me feel so comfortable and confident! 10/10 would recommend her.

The waxers here are so friendly and professional! Everything is so clean and organized. I will never go anywhere else for a wax!!

Very disappointed with the service I received today. I came in wanting to get my eyebrows done. When I first went back the waxer warned me that the wax was running hotter than normal but it should be fine. When she began doing my eyebrows, wax she placed on my eyebrows dripped down into the side of my hair. After 20 minutes of trying to get the wax out of my hair, she began cutting my hair. It was very upsetting to finally stand up and to see clumps of wax and my hair on the ground. I now have a noticeable bald spot surrounded by short hair on the side of my head. Thankfully I wasn't asked to pay for the service, because I would have refused if asked. Don't come here unless you want a free bad haircut too read more

Today I had a horrible experience with 'European wax center' at Exton. I went for Brazilian Wax and lady didn't know how to pull up the strip. I told her couple of times, it's hurting too much, and when I was not able to bear the pain any more, I saw that she is pulling the strip from the wrong side which is aggravating the pain. I had blood coming out from all the pores and she was so casual about it. I came out in the middle of the session, and these people were not even apologetic. it's been 6 hours, it's still hurting..I really wanted to cancel my membership ( but I am not allowed to without any penalty, while taking membership they didn't mention about any cancellation fee etc). Surprisingly first visit was not this bad, it was actually good so I thought of taking the membership for Brazilian wax, but it's not worth taking the membership and once you are in you cant cancel it. read more

I am usually a huge fan of European Wax but after my experience today, I will never go back. The girl completely rushed my appointment then at the end, left my arms covered in wax saying "it'll wash off in the shower." I'm currently at work with my shirt sticking to me. Also, can't wait to see what my arms look like once I rip the wax off in a few hours... Complete bullshit. UPDATE: The manager Donna called me on Tuesday to discuss my experience. I told her that I was unhappy with the service. She was really great and willing to listen to my concerns and gave me a full refund on my wax. I really respect businesses that take the time to listen to customer's concerns and want to make the situation positive- bumping this up to 3 stars because of the customer service. read more

I have been going to EWC for 6 months and would recommend this place to anyone. I used to drive almost an hour and pay 2x the amount at a "derma spa" for my brow and bikini wax. I was in the home goods and decided to give this place a try since it was so much closer. After my first treatment here with Danielle I was hooked. The wax they use is much less painful & they are extremely sanitary (no double dipping ever). My skin is somewhat sensitive and if I shave I get horrible bumps which is the main reason that I wax , but I never have issues with any rashes or reactions here! I love the ability to buy packages and stagger my payments to maximize my discount! read more

My husband and I both had HORRIBLE experiences here for an eyebrow wax. Asked for a clean up without making them any thinner, and the result was a pencil thin uneven mess that took months to grow back in. Will absolutely never visit this EWC location again. read more
