Will never go there again ! I went in with the intention of buying 3 large chandeliers, $16,000 in my pocket to spend. used yelp and therefore asked for Jodi - she was off today. I was introduced to Mary who if you ask me has completely ruined this business . I asked about a few chandeliers, - She never smiled, never asked any questions - I asked her about halogen bulbs - she looked at me and said : what ?!!!!: I don't know what you are getting at. I stayed quiet, the thought of buying 3 from this place was lost in her rudeness. Then I decided on 1 that she had to order- She said " wait here ill go print you a copy" so I stood there for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes..... I went to the front and asked the gentleman " where is Mary - she was just going to print a copy for me " He answered - without trying to assist me- just wait here. 20 minutes later I moved to the back of the shop and could hear her chatting with her colleague in the back ! So I left .The shop never called to apologize or rectify this mistake . Anyway that's a large amount to spend on chandeliers on perhaps the worst customer service ever ! My advice to all businesses- get rid of people like Mary - it will save your business! read more

I went here to buy some LED fixtures and realized that I knew way more than anyone on the sales staff, including the head person on the floor, and I'm no expert on the subject. Besides that, they were next to useless in and pretty much uninterested in helping me. I ended up spending my $1000 at a couple of online places. This is why brick and mortar stores are going the way of the Passenger Pigeon. read more

Jodie was very helpful in explaining about dimmable bulbs. We now have the perfect bulb in our Jelliefish Sconce. The store had many beautiful items that made me wish I was an interior designer. read more

We have bought several light fixtures here and have had a great experience each time. Staff is helpful. Products and prices are good too.

Today we visited lamps plus and we were planning on spending a large amount of money in the store. We found a light that we liked a lot but the bulb was burnt out. We asked the saleswoman if they could put a new bulb in so that we could see it on before we purchased and she told us it was too much work and didn't even ask the person who is capable of changing the bulb to do it. I was really disappointed that we weren't worth their time and that she just walked away from us without offering a solution. Needless to say we didn't buy anything from this store. read more

My bf and I came here not too long ago to buy LED bulbs so we could switch out our CFL's. We didn't know much about them, only that they would make our electric bill cheaper. All I can says is thank goodness for Mike Goodrick...he totally educated us on LED's! Mike showed us a wide variety of bulbs and pointed us in the right direction on which would be best for not only our fixtures, but also for the amount of light we were looking for in our house. I'm very happy with our new lights and for the wonderful experience we had at Lamps Plus! Thanks Mike, we'll be back! read more

The several page advertisement got my husband and me into the store. I was impressed by the large variety of chandeliers. Thankfully "Lighting Consultant", John Khatri greeted us and answered several questions and in a friendly way. His factual answers showed that he knew complexities of both fixtures and kinds of bulbs. We had the chandelier installed and my husband gave "excellent" for each of the phone survey questions. Several days later being interested in floor lamps.I went straight to John. Again, I found John's knowledge to be very helpful and purchased one. When I got the well sealed box home discovered one of the globe diffusers was broken. I was relieved to know that although there was not another in the stockroom John said he could order one or else, if I preferred, he'd give me a globe from the display model. So I am pleased with Lamp Plus' marketing, variety, installers, problem solving and especially the knowledge and service of John Khatri as my Lighting Consultant. read more

I have purchased 5 Casablanca fans and a few lighting fixtures here this year as I am redoing my house. Even though I am closer to the PH store, I come here. Why? One of the store managers, Leslie is wonderful to work with. Every time I come into the store, she greets me and helps me decide what lighting/fan project to do next. She is personable, knows her product, and checks on product BEFORE the customer decides. The store is neat, the lamps and glass items are clean, things sparkle - excellent for buying lamps. I have a few more items to buy. Leslie gaves me a great idea for my dining room but I have to save up for them! read more

Employees at this store refuse to honor the Company's own price match policy. The company promotes and guarantees that it will match 120% of the price if you find it at a lower price with a competitor. Yet the employees at this store feign ignorance of how to handle such a transaction or claim they are not authorized to make the adjustment that is part of their standard corporate policy. I ordered a Holtkoetter swing arm floor lamp for $648.00 with the help of the salesperson at the Dublin store (the lamp retails at $698 but she gave me a $50 discount when I started looking up competitor prices on the same lamp with my iphone before handing my credit card to her). The salesperson said, "if I find the exact same item at a lower price within 60 days of my purchase, I will have no problem getting a price adjustment." Within, two weeks, I found the same exact lamp on-line for $593.30. When I went to pick up the lamp and printed out the on-line price as suggested by my salesperson, she refused to process the price adjustment claiming she did not know how to process such a transaction. She called another sales associate whose first reaction was to deny providing any price adjustment (he claimed they only honor prices from big box stores and will not honor on-line pricing). When I showed him the company policy provides no such limitation, he then claimed that price adjustments can only be authorized by managers and that I had to come back when one was scheduled. I told him that was ridiculous that I would have to travel back to the store on another day because the employees are unable to process a price adjustment advertised by their own company. It seems the employees work on commission and want to make it difficult, if not impossible to obtain a bona fide price adjustment. read more

Recently purchased the Tiffany style ladybug chandelier. It is gorgeous, arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Then the price was reduced substantially. I called customer service and the price reduction amount was credited to my account without hesitation. A totally easy experience and I have a beautiful new chandelier! read more

I bought two wall lamps for my daughter but because of construction delays, she couldn't move into her new condo for 2 months after my purchase. When she finally hung the lamps, she discovered that the shades didn't match. Then she accidentally bumped the lamp and the thin plastic rim that holds the bulb broke off. The store manager, Juan Castro, replaced the broken lamp and matched the two shades free of charge. I was delighted. I debated giving 4 stars instead of 5 because Juan didn't call me back, and I had to call him several times. However, I went with the 5 because it is so rare to find a business these days that will stand behind its merchandise. read more

I noticed the customer service reviews on Yelp are pretty mixed. We had a wonderful experience with Jodi. She spent quite a bit of time with us and provided excellent lighting consultation. We purchased several ceiling fans, bathroom lighting fixtures and a wall sconce. Jodi was friendly, informative, patient and a big help to us. The store had a big selection of items on display, which was great. I gave the rating a 3 because I thought the prices were a little on the high side, and many of the display lighting fixtures we were looking at in the store were not able to illuminate. We actually had to go on line to see pictures of the fixtures lit. If you shop in the store, ask for Jodi. read more

The sales people are rude and discourteous and act more like I am bothering them. In no way did they act like they wanted my business. I don't expect people to gush over me or treat me like royalty. But they could at least smile, return my greeting and ask if there's anything with which they could help me. I've owned a few homes in the area during the last 20+ years and used to ALWAYS go here for my lighting needs. I'll probably never go here again. There are a lot of options for purchasing lights from people who may appreciate my business and money. Once these people go out of business, then they'll have something to frown and scowl about. read more

What a variety of lights. There are lights of all sorts to fit any decor. I shop here all the time for unique lights to fit my own contemporary decor. The service is good, but can be better. Unless you know which type of lighting matches your home, they have a hard time helping the customers choose the right lights for their homes. I, fortunately, know what I want so it's not very stressful. read more

I wish 0 stars was an option. This was one of our WORST product purchase experiences ever. We went to the store, didn't find anything we liked, so decided to order online. When placing the order, Corporate Customer Service told us that if we ordered for delivery to our house and would return anything, we'd have to pay a restocking fee, but ordering to the store wouldn't cost us any additional fee so that's what we did. We also clarified to Customer Service BEFORE placing the order that we wanted to see assembled lamps before we make a final decision and they said the store would do that for us. After some time, most of our purchase was delivered to the store. When we went there to view our purchase (45 minute drive one way), we were told that the lamps were in boxes and there was no one there at that time who could assemble it. However, they promised us to have them assembled by the weekend and we could come by then. Well, we drove 45 minutes again to the store to find out our lamps were still in boxes and the manager had not authorized assembly. REALLY? After we were told they'd do it? And no one bothered to call us to tell us that they changed their mind? The manager was off that day but they gave us his contact info to talk to him directly. When we called him the next day, he was rude and couldn't care less. We called Customer Service explained them the situation and they refunded our purchase in full. The sad part is with all the competition from internet sellers, the one advantage they could have had was stellar in-store service, but they chose not to provide it. Only reason we didn't complain to the Better Business Bureau was because their Corporate Customer Service was above average. BEWARE OF LAMPS PLUS! read more

Sales people are helpful and customer oriented but not the store manager, Juan Castro. He will get as much money from you, will make you loose your patience and most of all rude and not customer oriented. I bought sets of lamps, and 2 chandeliers on July 3,2014. One chandelier I have lamp plus to install since it has lots of crystal balls and costs almost a thousand $$$. My sales person was helpful. The chandelier was not properly installed the first time due to short chain. Electrician installed anyway and overcharged me due to putting the cystsl balls as they call it "dressing". He wil make you sign the invoice before writing all the things he wants to charge you so beware. So after a month and many calls and frustrations with the store manager, Juan, the additional chain arrived but he wants to install that additional chain for extra $180 fee. The sales person told me that it should be free and should not been installed in the first time. I talked to the installation office in LA and clearly said no additional charge and still in warranty for 2 years. When I told Juan, store manger in Dublin, said don't listen to his sales person. Really a bad store manager! When 2nd electrician came and try to install the additional chain, he found out that the additional chain ordered by Juan was not the matching one but the cheaper one and ugly. Juan insisted to use it until I threatened them that I will return it. Finally, the chain was replaced but not the original matching the chandelier. I gave up in hustling with the store manager! So lesson learned, avoid buying from this store while Juan is still the manager and check well your invoice, check what comes with your stuff, the worst store manager ever!
