Overall, I appreciate the food and drink section of this location. It's usually well stocked and I can find some unique food and coffee-type gifts under $10. I can generally get through the checkout process quickly, which I can really appreciate after going to other locations that had lines wrapping around the store. My only gripe is the overall messiness of the store. I often need to step gently through the aisles because there is just too much stacked on shelves and I get nervous that I might knock something over. It's an ADA nightmare. I enjoy shopping at this HomeGoods in San Ramon. They are well stocked with so many merchandise. I am a World/Gold cardholder and I always spend too much money here. LOL. During my recent visit, I've had the pleasure of meeting Cassidy, the cashier. She is friendly and offers great customer service. She wraps my merchandise with care. I was surprised she remembered me from a prior visit. I have a few recommendations to management. Please turn up the AC... It's not pleasant to shop in a warm store. When there's only ONE cashier with a long line, the cashier needs to be more mindful to pay attention and ask for additional cashiers. Customers shouldn't have to request for additional help. I was in line with 10++ customers. The cashier didn't pay attention to the line. It was hot waiting. I had to request for more cashiers. A quick update as usual. Recently went back to HomeGoods as it's been quite some time now since I've had time to galavant around as I've had to focus on other things. Today the place was buzzing. Full of Easter goods and the line was actually quite long today in the middle of the afternoon on a Thursday. I find that this place has some good finds and usually if you're good about going early in a holiday season you'll find something for your home decor. Otherwise, it's hit or miss as many HomeGoods. It also seemed packed in terms of goods as I feel like many items were strewn all about the different sections but still relatively organized. It's not the biggest HomeGoods I've been to, but it's one that I frequent due to proximity to work. I think today they were struggling to keep up with the number of people checking out. But I'm sure they were trying their best. I ended up not finding anything but definitely a few good and interesting furniture pieces while I was out there. I can do a lot of damage here when I'm shopping for home furnishings! I can pick up almost anything: Chair pads, dog beds, doggy bags, bathroom accessories, bedding, you name it, I have bought it. he other time I like to visit is the Christmas holiday! Wrapping paper and accessories, decor, baking/cooking ware totally sucks me in! Returns are good as long as you bring your receipt and do it within the date listed on your receipt. The queueing line is well merchandised with the social distancing stickers placed along the way (most people don't adhere to the line which can be irritating). I liked how the cashier's sanitize their station with a quick wipe down before taking the next customer. The one thing I noticed is they don't have a cart corral in the parking lot, so the carts end up being a free for all everywhere. This is a discount store, so if you get there early when things are neatly arranged it's great, but if it's on a busy day, you might be shopping the floor. read more

I love shopping there but let my guard down today at the San Ramon Store and someone in the blink of an eye stole my wallet. They tried to use a card at a nearby Apple Store and luckily were denied. I called HG San Ramon and told the manager and his respond was yes that does happen DUHH I had to explain to him that maybe they could look at any security footage and try to identify the thief or thieves so they can try to keep them out of the store but he didn't seem to interested. Plan on spending more than an hour or two (maybe three) depending on what you're looking for (and stumbling upon what you weren't looking for) :| The shelves are always well stocked, often over stocked, that you would have to move things out to find some more gems. I often find something here even if I wasn't looking for anything in particular. It's always a treasure hunt coming here but it's well worth it and it's fun! Much better run store than the Dublin Persimmon Place one. Better selection and more organized. This one has probably been around lots longer than the Dublin one. By the way its managed one would certainly think that. Nice selection of couches and tables. Aisles are clean and clutter free. Unreal selection of pillows and everything else. Quality on some the pieces vary. Some are top quality like Broy Hill others maybe not so much. They are priced accordingly - so it depends more on how committed you are to the choices you make. I think part of the success of this place is based on people's impulse purchases. I've rarely gone into a furniture store ever to buy furniture. Its usually a high pressure sales environment and it takes a mindset of commitment on the part of the consumer. A pleasant shopping experience. No pressure. The people that are supposed to be the managers on duty talking trash about other employees it just seems really messy. I headed to one of my favorite stores today looking for some floor pouffes. I found one in the design I liked and I asked Anthony if there was another. He looked around and found a second for me. He carried them into the same aisle so I could compare them and decide if they would work. I truly appreciated him carrying them for as I am recovering from surgery. I had some photos from the area in my home that I was considering placing the items and he was happy to help me figure out if the colors and patterns would play well with each other. Just finished our kitchen remodel and wanted to get some new accessories and dishes. Well take my money, HomeGoods! This place is always fun and feels like a treasure hunt every time I go. We found a le creuset 5 quart pot for $149 in that baby blue color that I love and I snagged it up! I've already made 2 meals in it so far, LOVE! Location wise, this one is rather convenient as it is near the freeway. My favorite HomeGoods location is still the one in Moraga for their selection and organization. How does this HomeGoods have less than 5 stars?! I used to live in the neighborhood and have relocated to the Oakland Hills yet still will drive to San Ramon because this HG is THE HG. Make sure to bring lots of money because there is ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS cute stuff in here (unless its been picked clean from holiday shopping). The brands are mostly top of the line and knick knacks you'll find in Williams Sonoma you can get here for a fraction of the price. Toys from Petfood Express: here. Bones from Petfood Express: here. Lovely, chic sectional carpets: here. Modern cookware: here. Bedding and bathroom decor: here. And all nice quality, brand name everything. If youre still paying full price shopping at department stores you're a sucker. Try HG San Ramon first. If it just so happens they're having an off day and you need it now, then ok, pay full price. But dont scoff at it. This location has some of the nicest stuff straight from the retail store. Go in for one thing, leave with a new piece of furniture, a new rug, serving dishes, pet stuff, and a kleen kantine. read more

I just had the most pleasant experience at HomeGoods in San Ramon. The cashier, Nathan and the store manager were so helpful. I bought a Tommy Bahamas rug which bled color on my back patio. They returned it and made experience so effortless. I highly recommend the store because of their professionalism and courteous personal interaction. I feel like once you have been at one HomeGoods locations, you have seen them all right? This location is certainly a larger one and they have a lot of stuff. I wish homegoods in general were more organized to find stuff. If you like something and you need multiple ones, you need to look through all the piles of stuff. Staff here is hit or miss, sometimes you will find someone to help you and other times you are on your own. Their prices are ok and yes you will find cute stuff here but you need to have the time too look unless you aren't going to be too particular. This store tends to get busy as well. I came here looking for Rae Dunn (if you don't know what that is what rock have you been hiding under) but left with an entire basket of games and puzzles for my kindergarten classroom that teach rhyming, counting, addition, letters and sounds, and spelling. They were super high quality, bright and colorful, and my students just adore them. Best of all? They were $5.99 each. If I had purchased them at my local teacher supply store they would have easily cost me $12-$16 each. I saved a BUNDLE of cash here. The cashier checking me out was super friendly. He asked if I was a teacher (what gave me away?) then chatted with me about his wife who is a teacher as he quickly and efficiently processed all my items and sent me on my way with a smile on my face. This location, just off the 680 at Bollinger Canyon, is convenient to get to and a big bonus for being located next to the Whole Foods store where I stopped to pick up a snack from their fresh food bar and a kombucha to go. mmmm. It used to be Borders Bookstore back then, the space got leased out to HomeGoods several years ago when I was in college. I love the beautiful home decor you can find for cheap prices. It's owned by TJMaxx so their price points are cost-efficient. I hadn't been back to this store in a long time but I was in the area last week. Generally I'm a fan of Homegoods, but this particular location is a bit sub par in comparison to the Pleasant Hill store. I find it to be very chaotic in terms of the layout, and the merchandise strewn about. Any time of day I've stopped by it seems the place is a mess and not the most pleasant shopping experience. The staff are very nice and welcoming, which is a plus. I've recently purchased some Philosophy and Bliss lotions at a great price and they are always reliably stocked on scented candles. Overall, it's worth a stop since it's near my work, but it needs a bit of tidying up and organizing. Lots of stock-too much stuff it seems to be able to really enjoy the experience. read more

They have quite the selection of everything from furniture, lamps, dressers to smaller bathroom, bedroom and kitchen items. The prices are pretty reasonable. Just make sure you buy it when you see it because it will probably be gone the next time you visit. The inventory seems to have a high turnover and since they're pretty much clearance items, then it's a crapshoot. Sometimes there's tons of great stuff, other times, there isn't anything you want. Homegoods has all of the cool and random home stuffs that you don't get at Marshalls. Did you ever walk through the home area of Marshalls and see that round bbq grill weight? Ever wonder if there was a square one? Or maybe a bbq brand to sear on letters or a word? Yeh, it's at HomeGoods, probably 2-3 months before Marshalls. Walk through Homegoods and you'll always find something interesting. You won't always need it, but you'll find it. I once saw VOSS water for super cheap. That stuff is super expensive in the club.
