I took a photo of the boo bag options for my daughter to choose from.

I know that it's August. I know that I only walked into the dollar tree store so that I could buy stickers, but, the Halloween decorations were out today. Which meant that I would be making boob bags for the kids and friends and being very creative with the boo bags that we make for the teenagers. I love that this dollar tree is always well stocked, and well-maintained. I'd rather go to this one thean the Concord one even though they are equidistant. This entry is hands-down, the cleanest one in our area. also, whenever I'm here, the staff is super friendly and always talk to me and make me feel that I am a valued customer even though the majority of the things that I'm paying for are only $1.25 each. This morning, I had a lovely leisurely conversation with one of the staff members, and he was awesome. He was so wise and insightful that it makes me just want to come to this dollar tree to chat about life in general when I do have the time to do so. Thank you, dollar tree, for making this crafters life fulfilled with all of the knickknacks that you have provided to me over the decades. And thank you dollar tree for being my favorite dollar tree in the east Bay.

Dollar Tree opened in the vacated Walgreen space. as dollar stores are the fastest growing section of the retail sector, it isn't surprising one appears in "upscale" San Ramon. Dollar Trees don't just open in "low income" areas, they seek locations where rent is economically cheaper due to a recent tenant closure. Dollar Tree is both a franchised operation as well opening their own stores. (same as McDonald's except McD owns the real estate...) all stores carry the same merchandise. every store also seems to have few registers open, usually just 1 or 2 during off hours. plenty of parking except for peak hours. EV charging stations available nearby the Alcosta entrance. expect to find low quality cheaply made goods that will last just a short while. some edibles but not many with close "sell by" dates. some are custom made for Dollar Tree. there are $1 sections of candies and canned goods. some items appear "cheap". buying some items in bigger sizes elsewhere is actually cheaper.

Bright, clean, neat, and spacious new addition to San Ramon. This Dollar Tree just opened in "Lucky's" shopping center and will definitely do well. Store Itself: Very neat. Lots of different goods, from kitchen accessories, snacks, arts and crafts, cleaning supplies, and much more. The store is much cleaner and brighter compared to other locations near by, it may just be that way because its new, but hopefully this standard will continue throughout this store's lifetime. ***Most items worth buying here are $1.25 which is awkward because it says dollar tree not dollar 25 cent tree... Service: Only saw on cashier and possibly a plain clothes store associate putting multiple go backs away. Cashier was nice and friendly. Other than that, don't expect lot of help to find things on the sales floor. Overall: A nice new addition to the San Ramon area as this location does not have much competitors around, so hopefully it will do well.

Hot minute gifts or items you need. Plenty to choose from and it's $1.25. You can't go wrong

I walked in a little after 8 AM and most of the Christmas decorations were on sale for 50% off. Buying gift bags that I can use next year felt like I'm robbing the store with such great deals. The store was clean and well stopped and well organized. I made everything really easy to find, and although I came in for one thing and filled my basket up until it was overflowing, the cashier didn't seem to mind also when she was filling up balloons in the store, she noticed that I was unpacking my fully loaded basket and she seamlessly walked over to help me out. She was very kind and friendly and helped me stuff as much as I could in the bag that I brought so that I didn't have to go buy another plastic bag and it worked. I am very grateful for her assistance today. I think this is my new favorite Dollar tree location.

I don't leave reviews but I also never got discriminated before this so it's worth sharing my…read moreexperience. I was with my mom (who also has a review on here) and we encountered an old white worker who is blatantly racist. He used weaponized incompetence to get out of any work that involved helping anyone who wasn't white, saying "I don't do that," "whoever helped you first has to do that." The only other worker there was an old Indian lady who we've encountered in past visits just fine. She already had a line which we were last to join before she ran off to help an Asian lady who just bought balloons. This Asian customer had approached him first to ask for the balloons to be filled but he was apparently too busy just standing by the carts, scrolling on his phone. My mom and I debated leaving because while the Indian lady was helping the customer, he made no effort to acknowledge or step in to help us. It wasn't until a couple, the girl being white, also joined the line so the white man finally came to his register and instead of saying he could help us directly, just said "I can help who's next" which the couple of course rushed over. At that point, our patience was basically gone but we still picked up all our stuff and put it on his belt. After helping the couple, he just walked away?? My mom was over all of this and asked him if he was just leaving while we obviously needed help to which he again excuses that he's busy pretending to move stuff on a random shelf. While I have it, not everyone needs retail experience to know checking customers out should be main priority especially with us being put on hold for the longest now. We left with no purchase or interest to return with this racist working there and I doubt anything will be done. Feel sorry for the Indian lady that has to tolerate that deadweight, good luck ma'am !

Also, there are some good deals but still a bit pricey like a brand new banana republic dress with tags still on for $30. They had Seiko watches for $40 b it the face was scratched. Books selection was good but didn't get why a kids/beginner level book was $2.99 (think soft copy Berenstein Bears book). Kids selection is ok, but more than what I'd like to pay for used kids clothing.

Everything is organized in sections and labeled. Again, a lot of variety. The book section is grand and I like how they're also organized by topics. Only thing that was a deterrent with this store was the pricing. Sure, you can look for the 50% color tag on some items to get a discount and possibly find a hidden gem of a deal, BUT Ross and Marshalls are literally across the street and they have all this new stuff for the same or even cheaper price (at least what I saw clothing wise). I personally wouldn't go out of my way to this location. I would think with so many items being donated, you'd find a fair price to keep items circulating and truly being a thrift price. Would I go back? Sure. It's just wasn't my exciting go to thrift spot. Check it out for yourself!

Having a 3 week newborn it was hard not having a stroller since they do not permit it but when I went around 11am there were only a few people shopping. Also they were located in building C which is a great walk from the parking area on Pleasanton Ave since you could not park closer nor where the NorCal Night Market was at. Carrying a newborn, diaper bag and two small kids in tow did a work out on me.(good thing) After paying admission, i walked to the newborn boy section which didnt have much nor the 3-6 month section. I proceeded to the girl section and noticed the clothes were faded and missing bottoms to pjs set. Still asking for $4.00. You might as well try your luck at Savers thrift or Eco-Thrift for better selection/pricing. Theres also a security guard there to check and verify your purchase. Now mind you, I didnt see high end name brand items (bug a boo, hanna andersson etc) that a security would need to be present but perhaps in previous events they had issues. I consider myself a frugal shopper and look for the best deals since babies and kids outgrow and wear clothes but also Im looking for gently used clothing for them.

You can find like new strollers, high chairs, car seats, furniture, etc. Not to mention toys, books, clothing, maternity clothes, etc. The sale is twice a year, usually in March and October. Prices are really reasonable - NOT TO BE MISSED!!
