She was a pleasure to work with, gave us many options to choose from, steered us away from making poor decisions, respected our budget, valued our time, and was always a pleasure to talk with. We felt that Jackie took the time to offer advice throughout the project - and really showed an interest in how the final project would end up - we were able to send her pictures of ideas throughout, ask questions, and ask for advice. When we would mention we were looking for design or decorating ideas, Jackie would send us suggestions. The Kitchens of Diablo showroom is relatively small, but has an amazing number of ideas and samples in a very small space. And, it is always improving. It now has more products and design ideas than it even had two years ago. We felt that we could almost make all of our decisions from right in the showroom - cabinets, counters, hardware, etc. We also felt that when you hire Kitchens of Diablo, you not only work with your designer, you work with the entire design staff. Often times, we learned that Jackie would consult with her peers on various ideas - so you have the benefit of all of their experiences. You also have the benefit of being able to work with a firm that has a lot of experience in the Tri-Valley, where so many of the homes are similar. Jackie shared pictures of similar projects that she thought captured ideas we were thinking about. Sometimes seeing your concept really does help. Jackie worked very closely throughout the project with our Contractor to ensure that the ideas we discussed turned out as well as they did. We happened to work with Shawn Lober Construction - married to the owner of Kitchens of Diablo - a huge plus, however Jackie shared that she works with lots of General Contractors. This is another benefit of working with the professionals of Kitchens of Diablo. We think that the team of Jackie Alonzo, Kitchens of Diablo, and Shawn Lober Construction were the reason that our first major remodel project (our Kitchen) went so well and gave us the confidence to take on our three bathrooms. We can recommend this team without any concern whatsoever.

I browsed around for a bit and found a few things to try on. Both of the staff members I encountered in the fitting room were kind and helpful. I forgot both of their names unfortunately, but one was a petite blonde and the other was an Asian woman with short hair. While none of the items I tried on worked out, the brief interaction with both of them left a good impression. I've had mixed experiences with the staff at this location in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised. I'd suggest stopping by if you're in the mood to shop!

I clearly asked for two separate transactions, with one being a gift that needed a gift receipt, plus an extra boxe and a separate bag. It took a few extra minutes, but these are standard requests at a retail store. Instead of handling it professionally, the cashier made me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable. She acted visibly annoyed and then apologized to the customer behind me for having to wait--as though my request was an inconvenience. The customer ahead of me also took their time, and I waited patiently without any complaint. Somehow, only my transaction was treated like a burden. When a customer spends over $500, they shouldn't be made to feel guilty for asking for basic services the store provides. It wasn't the wait that bothered me--it was the attitude. The cashier made what should have been an enjoyable shopping experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Because of that interaction alone, I'm left with a terrible impression. The rest of the staff were courteous, but this level of customer service from the cashier is unacceptable, and it's enough to make me seriously question whether I'll shop at Anthropologie again. Attaching my transaction .

I specifically came for their green guard gold furniture, and was disappointed to find that the green guard gold certification is not listed on the tag. There's also very little cell reception in the space so none of their QR codes would load. I ended up doing additional research and after only feeling partially interested in their desk designs I decided to go with a different company as I wanted a plain desk with no drawers or storage and they had little to nothing in that category. The service at this location was slightly standoffish and not particularly helpful, but some of the items were quite pretty. Especially since the quality was much higher than that of Pottery Barn, easily. All in all, it was a well laid out showroom and I loved their Acorn color, but their current designs just weren't for me.

Feels like red carpet service when we get to know this for the first time. I was Infact expecting some national guards to come and greet me like red carpet. Non sense!!! The patio furniture was delivered without side tables . And the side tables were delivered with UPS who just left it at doorstep only to realise I have to assemble it myself. The charges $400 fee just for shipping and assembly for $3k order. I think this is ridiculous!!! Please close down you don't deserve to be in business!!!

If I wasn't on a work break, I could probably spend quite some time in there! I found some Illy whole bean decaf espresso easily, as it was right in front of the espresso machines. It was a bit of a challenge for me to find a basic steaming pitcher, because it was out of sight standing near the espresso machines towards the back of the store. I had to look on the opposite side of a round-table display to find a lone, random steaming pitcher. It was next to things that did not seem related. The whole display seemed like a hodgepodge. The prices are not cheap, but I've come to expect that from Williams Sonoma. Illy coffee prices tend to be on the higher side to begin with, but if I'm spending time trying to perfect my espresso making technique, I did not want to try using anything stale. The espresso beans are glossy and smell delightfully chocolatey. Although I could probably find a cheaper steaming pitcher elsewhere, I wanted something sturdy that doesn't contain lead. My total for both was $42.14. As I made my way to the register to pay, I tripped on a wire shopping basket that someone had left on the floor. I'm glad that I did not fall, but I did do a great job embarrassing myself and making a lot of noise. It would be great if the staff had picked it up before I happened to stumble on it while trying to figure out which side of the box-shaped cash wrap register area was open for me to make my purchases. Despite having my wedding registry through their website, my number and email were not saved in the system to make a purchase. I'm glad to have an account with the store now to make things go smoother if I ever need to make a return. But so far, I'm very happy with my delicious decaf espresso and lightweight steaming pitcher.

Apparently I could have had shipped to store & just picked up. The sales lady said if we had any issues to just come back to the store & they would take care of it. We received the dishes on 6/9, with a box of plates being broken. I printed out the return label for the store & brough them back so the store could get the plates shipped. I called yesterday to check on where the replacements were (just about a month later) and they said they were on the way. TODAY I get a shipping confirmation that the plates are NOW shipped, to the wrong address and I was charged again. I'd suggest looking in store for the things you might want to buy & go straight to the website for purchase.

I learned about Carlene from a friend who had worked with her and had beautiful results. Carlene helps you completely rethink the space. It never occurred to me that we could fit an island into our small kitchen before working with her and now we use it *all the time*. We also opened up the breakfast nook, which had become a giant, messy pantry, and it is now seating space at a peninsula where the kids can do homework. We wanted to keep the aesthetic of our 1920's kitchen (we are in a small, bungalow-style house), but needed to bring functionality into the 21st century, and Carlene's suggestions were spot on. She's also very collaborative. She will incorporate your ideas / wish list items into the plan. Here is a link to the before and after photos: https://www.flickr.com/gp/tahphelan/1H9cXR You get several design options, and when you make your final choice, you have extremely detailed plans in hand for your contractor to bid on. She also has recommendations for how to proceed after you receive your plans: recommended contractors, where to look for counters, appliances, etc. She's not just a designer, she's a facilitator as well!
