We had a 15 minute wait and the staff were consistently checking on us with no discrimination just kindness. They actually offered us drinks when we sat down for our manicures which just complimented the whole experience, along with the good music taste and aquarium + TV. I've tried twice and never again. So I go in on a Sunday and explain what I'm wanting done. A full manicure, and acrylic overlay on my natural nails. No tips. He says ok, and I said I would like to get a pedicure as well. It's 1pm, there's only 1 woman he speaks too and says can you come back at 3pm. I understand not everyone can work with actual acrylic or soft gel so no problem. Now mind you most of the negative reviews are from years ago, so I thought nothing of it. 2:18 they call and ask if I can come in earlier. I said sure I'll be there in 10. I arrive and the same person checks me in. So far, no problem. First issue, I sit in the chair and the water is so hot steam is coming off. This was a sign and I should have listened to my gut and hightailed it out of there. I have to say something to like three different people to get them to come turn the water off even after I took my feet out. She then grabs a spare drill and starts to take off my polish. I stop her and say it's not gel, it's regular. She acted she doesn't hear me and continues to try and put the drill on my toenail. Now mind you the sanding band looked to be a month old I said no, thank you Id like to soak it off. She's now mad that I don't want a dirty sanding band. Finally the person at the front desk explains this to her. Like for real I'm not trying to get an infection. She gets some foil and still wraps my toes, as if it's gel polish instead of just taking my nail polish off. Strike 3, she cuts my cuticles back till one bled and this is after I told her multiple times to please not. She scraped under my nails forcefully and for some unknown reason, cut the sides of my nail. Lotion never entered the equation and my skin was just as dry when I left as I came in. Mind you, this is the "deluxe" pedicure. I brought my own polish as I had a particular color I wanted. This is not unusual and it was a quality brand. She disagreed but didn't say anything about it until she botched color on my toes by not using a basecoat. She offered to fix but after all this was not interested. She used dip powder on my nails and not actual acrylic like I asked. I wondered why I needed to come back two hours later when I had specifically asked for this, I told her not to put tips on my nails, she kept trying to glue those plastic tips to my nails anyway. Explain to her that I have a healthy, natural nail and I don't want the glue or powder. Just overlay. That was it for me. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. At that point, I'm not even mad that she didn't do my manicure or mention it. The front desk person rings me up and they charged me $30 for gel polish. I don't understand this as I brought my own polish and no one said it would be an extra $30 for gel. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had a nail salon. Girl just keep driving , I know it's close but you're gonna regret everything. Paint your nails with your eyes closed for better results than the MANAGER could give. I requested a new set and the nail tech told me to get a fill to save money, so we were heading in the right direction. long story short, I wanted a design that was simple , cherries , and neither nail techs spoke English and was able to understand when I was telling them too hard or something was wrong. My nail bed was burning and I kept telling them "please be careful" and she kept laughing. Then I asked after she kept trying the design I requested if she has any experience with designs and she says yes . Then proceeds to paint something I didn't ask for on my nails while smiling showing me totally different designs. After that I just asked for white because I thought they couldn't mess it up but, The paint job could've made me cry. Paying for this felt illegal. Theres better out there, and let me save you this terrible feeling I have right now. They have uneducated nail techs who will ruin your nails for weeks and leave you with bacteria infections that make you worry about getting your nails done again. I wasn't requesting much, and was very nice during the process . But, I don't want my nail tech to freestyle on my nails when I have a strict picture I'm going off of . This place ruined my experience, and they knew the nails were terrible. The manager kept saying for me to come back and she does my nails again, there's better 5 mins away. I requested a pedicure only and was there for an hour and half. The woman suggested a massage (as I'm 7 months pregnant) which sounded nice, so I paid extra for that. This "massage" consisted of light caressing of my calves with no pressure or any attention to massaging of the feet. When she wrapped my legs in towels, they were very hot and burned my skin. I asked her to cut my nails (again, very pregnant and challenging task these days) she barely cut them down. The polish lasted 3 days before it started to peel off my toe nails and it has occurred on 4 of my toes. Everyone was kind however the quality was not worth it read more

I had been going to adorn nails for over two years and after a couple of bad experiences I was in desperate need of a new nail salon. I had decided to take matters into my own hands and do my nails my self. Well due to my lack of knowledge and skills I have my my poor toe the worst ingrown nail of my life on both sides. After dealing with the pain and discomfort for 4 weeks I decided I needed to give in and let the professionals handle it. I found LakeLine nails and spa and decided to give them a try. BEST decision ever. While the salon my not look like a whole lot form the outside the inside is a different story. They have about 10 pedicure seats and four manicure chairs. Not much but it gets the job done. The place it self dosent look like they have a whole lot of business. However as soon as I walked in I was greeted to smiles and warm welcomes. I was immediately seated and worked on. A very nice woman who I assume was one of the owners tended to my poor toe. And after just a few minutes of the most agonizing pain she was able to take out both ingrowns and give my toe some much needed relief. I was then treated to a fantastic pedicure. Afterwords a gentleman came over and proceeded to give me a wonderful leg and foot massage. I will be back without a doubt. And safe to say I will not be touching my own feet ever again. STAY AWAY!!! The one star is for their willingness to redo my daughter's nails after I complained when they didn't do it right in the first place. My daughter originally provided a picture of the design she wanted. The tech suggested to get an acrylic set, but changed it during the process and decided to use the dip. If you don't have nail technician family members across the US (like me) then you wouldn't know the difference but we do! It's a cheaper product and doesn't require the same product, technique or time that acrylic does. My daughter tried to politely ask for a reshaping here and there but the technician was very resistant and borderline rude. I understand that the lady is a professional but when I saw the end result, it was an embarrassment. I insisted on a fix. That's when all customer service, courteous, and professional went out the door. Nail lady was aggressively speaking and lecturing us about how this is it and and made it seem unrealistic. I'm not sure why they just couldn't say, I can't do it or here is another tech that can!!! The tech couldn't deliver or come close to what we asked for. I'd definitely recommend this place. The only thing is if you work a very manual, labor job, be careful, because the nails do lift fairly easily, but again that's only if you're labor intensive. Went to the salon this evening after work for an SNS manicure. I selected a dusty pink color. When the tech brought the powder out, I mentioned to her that the color looked a bit orange. She insisted that the color was correct and would look different once it was on. I allowed her to continue. The color turned out to be a neon orange, which was obvious from the first dip. I told her that the color was not what I asked for. She mumbled something about it being good for summer and continued. I told her again that the color was not what I asked for. She then added white powder, telling me that it would make it lighter. She continued. I stopped her and picked up the sample shade and held it up to my nail and told her that there was no possible way that the colors were the same, regardless of what the number on the jar says. She told me that it just looked different because of the light. I asked her to please take it off and I would just have my nails done another day. She called over another lady who appeared to be a manager. They talked amongst themselves in a language I didn't understand and then the manager lady says, "It's not our fault. The company that made the powder did it." I told her that I just wanted to take the color off and go home. At this point, I had already been there for over 45 minutes. More talking amongst the two of them and the manager lady brings out another powder. I told her that I didn't want to start over and that I was tired and wanted to go home and to please take the color off. She told me that they would file off the color and apply a color closer to the one I wanted. I told her that I was concerned that it would be thick and uneven and that I would rather not. She was very insistent, so against my better judgement, I allowed her to do what she suggested. After another 45 minutes, I ended up with thick, lumpy nails that are bubbling and uneven at the cuticles. I was extremely irritated by the end of the ordeal. I pointed out to her that they were thick and lumpy and that they did not look like they should. She offered to file them more. At this point, I declined. I was tired of having my cuticles knicked and just wanted to go home. As calmly as I could, I said to her, "When someone tells you that they don't like the way something looks, please listen to them. I told you the color was wrong and you didn't listen. I asked you to take it off. You didn't listen. I told you I was concerned about it being too thick. You didn't listen, and it is." She then started talking over me and I just gave up. As much as I wanted to leave without paying, I went ahead and paid for my $40 SNS manicure that turned out looking like I have Sculpey clay stuck to my nails. I drew the line at tipping. There was no apology. No offer to make it right. Nothing. Unless that's what they were saying to each other in their language as I was checking out, but I doubt it. I have a stressful job. I had worked late. I just wanted to take a nice hour to relax, just for myself before I went home. It was a huge waste of my time and my money. read more

Stay away!!! Far, FAR away! I got a basic pedicure and had my whole entire cuticle literally ripped out of the big toe on my right foot. I said "OW!!" out loud and the nail tech did not seem to care or ignored me. She also seemed disgusted with how much she had taken out (okay, I get it, I don't get pedicures that often) and then laid the cuticle on my foot afterwards like she was asking me to explain myself. Today I had the WORST experience at this salon. I have been going here since it opened--but today they lost my business. My pedi was terrible--nicked my toe, cold water, and my heals are still super dry. They upsold my daughter on gel polish without explaining the price or asking me when I was sitting in the same room. When I complained--they lied and said they told my daughter the price and then said they didn't know I was there. No one apologised or offered to fix the problem. ONLY when I threatened to write a bad review did they offer to reimburse me for the gel polish. I'm so disappointed and disgusted. I don't recommend this place to anymore. read more

Went in on a Saturday afternoon for a gel manicure and pedicure. The salon was clean and everyone was very friendly. I requested my usual colors and everything was fine. However, when I went to check out I noticed how high the bill was...and then realized that they charge an additional $15 each for gel polish. I know it's usually more expensive, and am used to paying a few dollars more for gel, but $15 is excessive. Also, the gel was up my cuticles and I didn't realize it until I got home...and it all peeled off two days later. I don't have time now to go back and request they fix it. I do feel that if you're going to charge that much for gel polish, you should make sure it's absolutely perfect the first time. So if you're just going in for a normal pedicure or an acrylic fill, this place is fine. Nice folks and I really liked how clean it was. But for me, if I'm paying a premium for gel then I expect an impeccable manicure. I'll be sticking with the nail salon on Cypress and Lakeline. read more

I've been waiting for this nail salon to open for weeks! I wanted to get away from the four nail salons that are right across the street from each other, two actually in the same parking lot. Three of them I have already been to, one several times but I feel has gone down; the fourth is about to open. Lakeline Nails and Spa did not disappoint! The owner was there and could not have been nicer (how often do you meet the owners?), there are three sisters that work there and they took care of myself and my girls. Where to start? I was really excited once I heard a new nail salon was opening close to my neighborhood. I waited patiently for it to open and though it took me a while to find the time to go on and try it I finally got in there yesterday. The salon itself is tiny but in a cute cozy way, there's about 8 pedicure chairs and 4 manicure tables. They have 1 large TV and a chic chandelier hanging. I can really dig the vibe in here. There's a gentleman up front who greats you and let me tell you this guy is easily the nicest and most attentive I've experienced at a nail salon. He personally walks you through the nail color choice and gets you seated. He sets up your massage chair and offers you a drink. They offer water, soda, white and red win (bonus). Anyhow it started off very relaxing there wasn't much of a wait so I got right in and to business. An older lady with longer hair and glasses did my pedicure. I have to tell you she took FOREVER I mean holy smokes I saw people come and go before she got to even paining my toe nails. Anyhow I figured no big deal she's detail oriented, right? Wrong! My toe polish was semi sloppy and to be honest I don't think she could see so good even with her glasses on. I wasn't too worried given the fact the nail polish wasn't that bad. Now here lies the problem.. the same lady did my gel manicure and this is where the nightmare began. The 1st time she painted my nails she forgot to put the cheat base before the color this the nails came out looking sticky. She removed them and re-did them at MY asking. The 2nd time she painted them there was polish so far up my skin and cuticles I asked her to fix it. I'm not sure if she understood me or not but she attempted to take the polish off the sides only. Anyhow I went to pay and spoke the the kind gentleman about my issue. I was already running late to my lunch with friends but they offered to re-do the nails. I let them know I was already late to somewhere. Anyhow 35 mins later someone else came and did my nails. They turned out great since someone other than this original lady did my nails. All and all I like the location, I can dig the personal touch from the gentleman up front but the fact that I spent almost 3 hours on just a mani-pedi will keep me from coming back. read more

One dog bit me!!! I screamed "Help" repeatedly...the owner finally came. His response was to hit the dog that bit me and still let them both run around free. Which means...they came after me again! Pretty average nail place. I got a gel basic pedicure and was underwhelmed. The massage was more of a rub than an actual massage and the gel polish that I paid $15 more for wasn't applied well. It ended up on my cuticles and will like come off because of that. Additionally they kept asking me to get a manicure done. If I had wanted a manicure I would have asked for one. Lastly, I've been to tons of places here lately and every place provides water, soda, wine, etc. When I finally had to ask for something to drink I was looked at rudely and then reluctantly given a bottle of water. The prices are pretty high here, I would expect to be treated better. I'm only giving 3 stars because my mom and sister get gel manicures here and haven't had any issues. read more

UNREAL.... The moment I walked in I was greeted by a lady on the phone sitting in a chair would not get up to help me sign into a tablet that was off.. So I just didn't.. And picked a polish. My hands were grabbed 3 times asking if I wanted a manicure. Then I get a basic pedicure and all that entailed were my nails clipped and cuticle pushed back... I asked why I'm not getting a full pedicure and they said it was not included in basic.. OKAY WHAT?!?!? So I paid 27$ for my cuticles to be pushed back and a polish change?!? Very nice ladies run this store, they are efficient and fast. Your acrylic nails come out very thin and even, very hard to find a salon that can do this in Austin. I've gone to 3 different nail technicians at the salon and I have been pleased with each of their results. They also polish correctly too, no pulls with cuticles during nail growth. The pedicures are good and last for several weeks without getting gel polish. My only suggestion for improvement would be that the pedicure massage be a little stronger on my feet and legs. I been hear a few times and never been happy. I don't think I will be back again the service is very poor and they don't have a borde up with the price they charge depending on what they feel like! When I did a pedicure they didn't give a massage and they didn't take the dry skin off that's on my heel . Also when I got my upper lip wax there was still hair and my lip got burnt. They look okay, although, I think it may have been the technicians first time doing them. I would come back here though. The salon is very nice and clean and the staff is very accommodating. I would love to give a better review but I can't. I only gave the second star because the staff working on us were nice and did a good job. It's the management/owners I have an issue with. I've been several times to this new location and had nothing but great experiences. But then the last time I was in, about a month ago, I learned that they have already flipped ownership. That explained why they all had different aprons on and the light were up super bright etc. The atmosphere was completely different. This of course was the time I decided to take my daughters in for their first time mani/pedi. What started out fun turned into a nightmare at the desk. Nails and all were fine. But without my consent they put designs on my kids and did, what was apparently extra services by letting them soak in the tubs etc, and then tried to charge me for it. I clearly pointed out the price sheet they had up on the counter for kids and they told me it didn't count because of the extras that I never was asked about or would even consider an extra. Their kid mani/pedis were each more then my acrylic fill with gel over. My one daughter was almost $45!!!! She's 8! Needless to say the manager lady was very rude about it but I guess I raised enough noise at the desk that they offered me $30 off my bill to compensate and to shut me up. To top it off the credit card machine receipt printed out saying it was from a totally different business!! Like grocery store or something!!! I've lost faith in the place and I also know for certain some of that great staff that was there jumped ship and went elsewhere too. Sad to see it go but it went. read more
