Love Embellish for a few reasons. First, l cannot get enough of the super duper cuteness overload of the salon. Talk about atmosphere! I feel like I am in a 90's movie getting all glam for my date with the popular guy at school. Lol. Second, the Polish selection is really nice. They have Esse, OPI, CND Vinylux, and Smith & Cult. I always get the CND Vinylux because it dries fast (which is great because I have a compulsory need to touch my nail polish to see if it is still wet after about 15 minutes) and it lasts for weeks. Third, I have never had a nail tech I didn't like. Everybody that works there is really laid back and knowledgeable about polish and nail care. Lastly, I will tell you that my BFF and I got pampered with warm neck wraps, wine, chocolate, and the deluxe pedicure the day before she had to take the Bar Exam (to become an attorney!) and had the best of times feeling pretty and relaxing. I used to love Embellish, but can't get my head around my latest experience. The receptionist told me my nail tech was stuck in traffic, which I understood given the construction happening around Mopac and 183. What I didn't expect was to wait a full 30 minutes for her to arrive. My 50 minute service was squished into 28 minutes so that she could move on to her next appointment. The positive? Nichelle was good at what she does, so I imagine her full service, full length pedicure is pretty great. When I went to check out, the receptionist took $10 off, which seemed like a drop in the bucket for the rushed, subpar pedi. I was also perplexed because they now run two transactions: one for the service, one for the tip, and the tip has tax added onto it? Such a bummer, especially for what is supposed to be a little luxury moment of self-care. Off to find a new spot to get my nails done... read more

We booked Embellish Nails & Boutique for our corporate event and wow, they did a great job hosting 18 of us. Appointments were staggered until 2 time slots to accommodate everyone. The boutique is spacious and has room for us to bring in some wine, cheeseboard and snacks for our guests. I love the "clean / all natural" concept (no acrylics, etc.). You don't get the typical the strong acetone nail shop smell hitting your face when you enter the store. It is a clean air smell. They don't use abrasive approach on prepping our nails, yet the result is incredible. My nail beds are not in pain after, and my cuticles are neat and soft. I did both manicure and pedicure, and both ladies who worked on me were very skilled. I would definitely come back again and would definitely host another corporate event with this boutique. read more

The boutique is cute, but the buck stopped there. I was told by the receptionist to pick out my colors then head to a chair for my pedicure. Was told rudely by the nail technician "no not there!" To do manicure first. From the constant tugs and comfortable position, I had to ask the technician to clean up my cuticles, which are unfortunately still bothersome. On the verge of walking out because I was so unhappy, the pedicure was less then desirable. Technician kept poking my toes harshly, and I even alerted her that she was hurting me. I had chosen this technician because her description mention being meticulous, but this was not my experience. My services were supposed to last at least 1 and 45minutes per their booking site but I was done in less than an hour. Others around me had started earlier than I and were still getting pampered as I left. Sadly, it was a very disappointing experience that left me with nails not worthy of even sharing on this post. read more

I have been going to Embellish for YEARS and have always had outstanding service. Until recently. They have sold their Austin locations and are now under new management. This wouldn't be a problem except for (a) services don't last as long as they're billed (30-35 minutes for a pedicure instead of the 45 minutes they're supposed to last (b) dramatic increase in prices with no corresponding increase in service level, but in fact, the opposite {see (a)} and (c) several technicians have "hacked up" my toes recently where this has never happened before. There are SO many places in Austin to get pedicures and Embellish WAS a standout...but not anymore. And since there are so many other places, there are quite a few really good ones amongst the group. Sadly, Embellish is not among that group any longer. Why suffer through bad service for more money when there are other good places to go? Don't. read more

I needed my nails done badly. I had fallen in a water shed ditch a couple nights before and there was a bruise in my left foot. I didn't take after pictures until the day afterwards. I would recommend based Sherlock on the quality of products. The lady would not do simple snowflakes. She insisted flowers and I refused which is where the issue was left. Very good product. Now been about a week and a half. Would need to go to a different tech. I want simple designs, but she just would not budge on what she thought looked good. I called in advance asking about nail art. This was not detailed art either. Basically colored tips/French tips. I even sent pictures. We arrived today for my teen to get her nails done. Both of us excited...the nail tech refused to do anything but one color. She said there was no time. She wouldn't even do a French tip. We got here 10 minutes early and had a full hour appt. I'm not sure why this wasn't enough time w/clean nails not needing to have anything soaked off etc.... I don't know why we were led to believe this was possible when we called in advance. We won't be back. UPDATE: The front desk person politely reached out to me before we left. She apologized for the confusion and comped our service. For this I changed the stars on the review. I highly recommend Embellish to anyone looking for a relaxing manicure! I don't get my nails done often, so I'm pretty cautious about where I go, but I'm glad I booked with Embellish. I got a Shellac manicure for the first time and it's been holding up well since. Compared to other places in the area, the pricing is great, especially for the quality service. Cynthia took her time to make sure I was pleased with the shaping and color of my nails, which I greatly appreciated. She also provided great education about products I could use to strengthen my nails. Reasons listed below: 1) Everything feels clean- from the fresh copper basins they bring out to soak your feet, to the sterile nail equipment, to the new nail files that they let you take home at the end of each visit 2) Complimentary drink (white wine or mimosa) with service (hence I typically book a late afternoon or weekend appointment). A boutique and nail salon in one? I'm already a fan before walking in the door! I became even more of a fan when encountered with the cuteness of their inventory here. Stylish jewelry, cute greeting cards to fun, fun-loving dresses and tops - this is a great spot to shop whilst pampering yourself a bit. The shopping is at the front of the store and opens up to a pretty expansive nail salon. What stood out most to me was that they use quality copper portable tubs to soak your feet. This seems much more sanitary than a permanent tub at other salons that can only be cleaned to some degree rather than actually being moved and cleaned thoroughly. They also had fun typical Rom-Com movies starring the likes of Kate Hudson or Julia Roberts that go hand in hand with a 'treat yo' self' day at the spa playing on loop on their many monitors. In addition they offer M&Ms and Cucumber water while you get pampered. And despite being a few minutes late, they still honored our appointment with graciousness, however made it clear they couldn't give us the full treatment, because of our tardiness; which was a little bit of a bummer to be penalized for that. I was in the area for another service and walked in to book an appointment, I requested someone that could do nail art. I was scheduled with Ruby for my nail art gel manicure. I get to my appointment and show Ruby the picture of what I wanted created. Let me tell you she was amazing! She really took her time and my nails look Fabulous! I have been getting lots of compliments I even gave the one business card I had to my waitress at a restaurant because she loved them so much! I took one star away because it was pretty expensive $75.00 for my manicure plus tip. I thought it was totally worth it because it is located near me and I did not have to drive downtown to my normal nail art studio. My normal studio is less expensive and just as good. read more

This is definitely my new nail spot. Not only is everyone on their staff super nice but they do a fantastic job. The oils they soak your feet in for the pedicure smell like heaven and they even give you a warm lavender neck pillow to wear. They have amazing colors to choose from and what's great is they are colors that you can find the match for a like Ulta (Butter, Essie, OPI) so if you need to do a touch up you can. My nail artist was amazing I had picked out a pale pink color (shellac) for my nails and when I told her what the event was she actually recommended a pale pink color with sparkle that I like 100x more. But be careful, the front of the salon has an adorable boutique (if you are from Houston think Magpies) and if you don't watch out you will do some serious damage to your bank account. They have Kendra Scott earrings, really cute sandals, dresses and other clothes and they have wine candles! I recommend everyone go here because it is amazing. The whole boutique is very clean, they show 80's/90's movies while they do your nails (I watched Sleepless in Seattle) and there's a wonderful sense of community there. read more

What a wonderful nail salon/boutique! I was hesitant to get my nails done during the pandemic, but my bestie scoped out the scene and found this spa. We were really impressed by how safe their set-up was. They take your temperature before your appointment, make you wash your hands, and everything is diligent about wearing masks. What's more, we asked when they would be less busy, so we basically got the spa to ourselves. I was really happy with how pretty my nails looked after. Atmosphere: Very clean and professional, the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful, they provide multiple beverage options and sweet snacks. It truly feels like a girls day even surrounded by strangers. I could go on for days. Nails: They are always VERY thorough with painting my entire nail carefully and accurately, they allow me to test polish colors if I'm indecisive (always), and the mani and pedi last hands down wayyyy longer than anywhere else I've gone. I enjoyed my experience at Embellish. I love that you can shop for gifts and get your nails done. The nail salon in back is open and low on toxic nail fume smell. The space was comfortable, yet simple. I loved the snack bar and choice of wine or champagne for drinks. Their water was also very good as it was infused with cucumbers. I've been going to Embellish for a year now, which means for an ENTIRE year my nails have been shellac-ed. I could have never done this at other nail salons because of their cheap products and poorly done manicures. Embellish uses CND products for their shellac and they don't do any fake nails or fills. CND is an amazing and breathable product and my nails look as healthy as ever, even after a year. I just love the complete appreciation for natural manicures and how passionate the nail techs are about providing the best manicure. Shout out to Claire, who is extraordinarily creative and amazes with her nail art. It is more expensive than the cheapo salons which are on every corner, but you get what you pay for. My mom and I love this place! We have been going here for almost 3 years now. I do feel like the owner are getting a little greedy, and the manager Danielle is getting a little bitchy! The only reason I gave this review 4, not 5 stars! We absolutely adore Claire, Sandy, Jasmine (she is not longer there) and Amber! While there has obviously been some changes, it is hard to pass up the ambiance and feeling like everyone is family! Had some birthday girls time here. Very comfortable, stylish, roomy nail salon. The boutique store front disguises that there are more services. Glad we made an appointment because at 3:30 on a Thursday every manicure seat and more than half pedi chairs were full. Our basic manicures were just that, basic. A quick file, little hand massage, go wash your hands yourself at the sink and get nails polished. I guess I expected a little more for $25. They did offer a beverage and candy which was nice. Polish was done neatly. Our techs were friendly, especi my daughters. I absolutely LOVE Embellish! :) I have been a client since January 2016 and I will not go to any other nail salon! They show THE best movies~ romantic comedies and they have the captions on the movies so clients can follow along. They also play great music and the music is not too loud so everybody can have nice conversations without having to talk loudly. The atmosphere is so relaxing, the staff are completely professional and friendly, the warm neck wraps are amazing, and my manicurist is quite simply the best manicurist I have EVER had! Amber is so sweet and professional! She really takes her time to make sure my mani and pedi are PERFECT! I always do a shellac mani and regular pedi. I bring my own polish for my pedi and Amber is fantastic at finding a shellac color that matches my pedi color! :) I very highly recommend Embellish to everybody! This place is seriously all about hype. I was not impressed by the water and the chairs, or the nail polish selections, or the fact that they're playing a girly movie on the TV. My water was cold it was past my appointment time. It had taken me nearly a month to get a Friday's appointment. That's unacceptable. No walk-ins, CRAZY. So I'm runner and find pedicures to be a special treat. Of course I have expectations, duh! But they don't even have the proper tools for clients with calluses on their feet. Yeah it's all fine and dandy you give me my nail buffer and file to keep. Seeing I can't go buy one myself. Now the prices, heck the joint closer to my home offers more for $3 cheaper, and heck it smells like a subway. Could you complain more. Nope because they give you paraffin wax. So no I won't return for several reasons 1. Scheduling is beyond unrealistic ( really who knows they want a pedi 2-3 days in advance; unless its a special event) 2. Prices are overrated, campus does a better job at $25 3. Water in the copper tubs looks real cute, but your water turns from lukewarm to ice cold in a snap 4. It's not a pedicure if your technician is not speaking another language talking crap about your terrible feet (just joking) But it's part of the experience 5. It doesn't feel like you got a pedicure! But whatever I went and got a pedicure the following week, was more pleased! To each your own, but seriously don't buy into the hype... read more

This place is cute - I'll give it that. I've been a few times. I guess I've never had a terrible experience but I've never had a great one. I've been twice now and both time my technician was running late. It seems like they still use paper booking? Which leads to some over repetition on the phone when you call and set up appointments. They also don't tell you who you're booking with when you set up with appointment or when you check in or at all. I left my tip up front but have no clue who did my nails. She was super nice though. While they have good quality polishes, Essie, OPI, Butter. It seems they have a slimmer collection of polishes. It also seemed like a lot of the polishes were old and the polish was thick and the bottles were all crusty and oily. Especially the Essie ones. I also find that my nails do not last at all. At the old salon I went to at home I could get 1-2 weeks no chipping, no peeling, no nothing - perfect manicure. No gel, just regular polish. Here, I find after two days my nail polish is chipping. I don't know if it's the product difference or what. Don't get me wrong, the techs are nice - they go above and beyond customer service wise. My nail polish just does not last at all. read more

I booked an appointment for my Mom and I to come in to Embellish for today, (Saturday) and had a really good experience with an awesome nail technician. Scheduling over the phone, however, was a little confusing. Long story short, the person said that their esthetician wasn't going to be available and then booked us anyways, (??) for the service plus a mani-pedi and just a pedi. I had asked about their other location, and wasn't sure which one I was booked at so I had to call back to confirm. In addition to that, my Mom was scheduled in for waxing at 11:30 but the pedis weren't scheduled until noon. So, I ended up hanging out while she was in doing that, then while my mani was being done after our pedis, she had to hang out. It just really could have been scheduled a lot better. I understand that they were busy and that's fine but this is an upscale salon and things should have been more smooth than that. Ok, so there's the minus one star, let's move on. My nail tech was awesome! Best mani-pedi I have ever had. Amber was engaging, attentive, informational and did an awesome job on both my feet and hands. Worth every penny plus her tip. She is the epitome of what a great experience at Embellish can be, and should be. Additionally, there were several schedulers and women walking around who were attentive during my Mom and I's waiting periods that were very nice. We got warm neck wraps and were offered drinks at several points. Awesome service, hands down. My Mom was also very impressed wit the esthetician and her pedicure. This is a beautiful nail salon as well. I really love the boutique up front, and I really liked this location, as much as I liked the Westlake location. They had just got some fall stuff in, and had this adorable door mat that I bought. Really neat clothing, jewelry, Austin and Texas stuff, cards, candles, polish... cute things. So all in all, if it hadn't been for the awkward scheduling and confusion this would be a high five star review but for now, I'm offering a high four. Since they opened, I have been enjoying the benefits of fantastic manicures and pedicures from Embellish. Soft hands and feet, no hang nails or overly cut cuticles, and perfectly painted nails every time. I guess I am at 25 visits by now. No place I know is this consistent in providing great service every time. The price at $50 is affordable. I have tried other salons, from similar nail salons to spas with nail service, but none can beat Embellish in price and quality of service. For pedicures, they use copper bowls filled with warm water to soak your feet, which is a much more sanitary than any other method. You sit in big, soft, comfy chairs with a warm neck wrap on your shoulders, sipping on cucumber water, watching a silly rom-com, falling asleep. What a luxury! Embellish is the best smelling nail salon, only vanilla and lavender in the air. They don't do acrylic here. I am not one for the gel nails and prefer the least amount of chemicals and they have several low chemical options-- Smith and Cult is fantastic. A day before a trip, I let my eyes wander around the boutique area and realized I needed to pick up a birthday card and gift. Within minutes, I found a great card and two Texas-centric gifts. read more

I've been to the Anderson location of Embellish a few times in the last year or so. Mostly I do my nails at home, but every so often a little pampering is nice. Each time my visit has been meh at best, and the last appointment was kind of disappointing. I was encouraged to try the Vinylux polish as I have hard time keeping polish on for more than a few hours before it peels. Before deciding to go with it, I asked how long it should last on an average human (not a weirdo like me), and the tech said it should last on average 7 days. I hoped for 2-3. I noticed that it was put on without a base coat, and asked about that since I had chosen a dark color. The technician said it isn't applied with a base coat, so I went with it. By day 2 it had begun to shrink away from the tips of my nails. Now just 4 days later I've had to remove it because of multiple chips and my nails are stained pink. I'm back to doing my own nails and probably will not return to Embellish. read more
