Feet after a shellac pedi with massage
Denise H.

I needed my nails done badly. I had fallen in a water shed ditch a couple nights before and there was a bruise in my left foot. I didn't take after pictures until the day afterwards. I would recommend based Sherlock on the quality of products. The lady would not do simple snowflakes. She insisted flowers and I refused which is where the issue was left. Very good product. Now been about a week and a half. Would need to go to a different tech. I want simple designs, but she just would not budge on what she thought looked good. The add on massage not worth it.

Just a few of my favs :)

I love Embellish! In fact, they have spoiled me into not wanting to go to any other nail salon. Reasons listed below: 1) Everything feels clean- from the fresh copper basins they bring out to soak your feet, to the sterile nail equipment, to the new nail files that they let you take home at the end of each visit 2) Complimentary drink (white wine or mimosa) with service (hence I typically book a late afternoon or weekend appointment). They also have hot tea or cucumber water, plus free M&M's! All this, with a hot neck wrap- talk about feeling pampered! 3) My nails always look amazing and last way longer than I expect! I look forward to my next appointment and to continuing to convert all my friends into using Embellish! See you soon!

A boutique and nail salon in one? I'm already a fan before walking in the door! I became even more of a fan when encountered with the cuteness of their inventory here. Stylish jewelry, cute greeting cards to fun, fun-loving dresses and tops - this is a great spot to shop whilst pampering yourself a bit. The shopping is at the front of the store and opens up to a pretty expansive nail salon. What stood out most to me was that they use quality copper portable tubs to soak your feet. This seems much more sanitary than a permanent tub at other salons that can only be cleaned to some degree rather than actually being moved and cleaned thoroughly. They also had fun typical Rom-Com movies starring the likes of Kate Hudson or Julia Roberts that go hand in hand with a 'treat yo' self' day at the spa playing on loop on their many monitors. In addition they offer M&Ms and Cucumber water while you get pampered. And despite being a few minutes late, they still honored our appointment with graciousness, however made it clear they couldn't give us the full treatment, because of our tardiness; which was a little bit of a bummer to be penalized for that. But, I am excited to return (on time, no less!) for the full pedicure experience!

Took a picture of this and am very happy with how it turned out.
Ruby did an amazing job!

I was in the area for another service and walked in to book an appointment, I requested someone that could do nail art. I was scheduled with Ruby for my nail art gel manicure. I get to my appointment and show Ruby the picture of what I wanted created. Let me tell you she was amazing! She really took her time and my nails look Fabulous! I have been getting lots of compliments I even gave the one business card I had to my waitress at a restaurant because she loved them so much! I took one star away because it was pretty expensive $75.00 for my manicure plus tip. I thought it was totally worth it because it is located near me and I did not have to drive downtown to my normal nail art studio. My normal studio is less expensive and just as good.

This is definitely my new nail spot. Not only is everyone on their staff super nice but they do a fantastic job. The oils they soak your feet in for the pedicure smell like heaven and they even give you a warm lavender neck pillow to wear. They have amazing colors to choose from and what's great is they are colors that you can find the match for a like Ulta (Butter, Essie, OPI) so if you need to do a touch up you can. My nail artist was amazing I had picked out a pale pink color (shellac) for my nails and when I told her what the event was she actually recommended a pale pink color with sparkle that I like 100x more. But be careful, the front of the salon has an adorable boutique (if you are from Houston think Magpies) and if you don't watch out you will do some serious damage to your bank account. They have Kendra Scott earrings, really cute sandals, dresses and other clothes and they have wine candles! I recommend everyone go here because it is amazing. The whole boutique is very clean, they show 80's/90's movies while they do your nails (I watched Sleepless in Seattle) and there's a wonderful sense of community there.

Overpriced, but a nice experience with a heating pad for your next and recliners for pedicures.

However, this time was a lot different and I was able to find the perfect gifts for my friend's birthday as well as fun items for myself. It seems like the selection has remained the same although Atown is keeping up with current and modern trends. For example, there were a lot of ICE based items tucked away as well as current celebrity crushes who are on everybody's minds. The coolest thing I found was a James Talarico candle but other than that, a lot of the items that were for sale were pretty kitschy and I believe they are the same wholesale items I have seen before. I must shoutout the incredibly helpful service from Audrey who went above and beyond to help me find items for my friend's birthday. She was super sweet, and I would've been wandering around the store aimlessly if it wasn't for her direction. Additionally, she even came up with combination gift ideas which was pretty sick. Atown is lucky to have her! I think my PTSD is no longer because of her assistance. Great store, unfortunately high prices. However, no one does it like Atown!

There are 3 or 4 separate areas you can visit and they have things from locally made earrings and art to coasters, desk plates, rubber ducks of famous people, religious candles with random famous people, funny socks, clothes, and so much more. The staff is friendly and outgoing, they even had a woman at the door greeting you and offering you a hand basket if you wanted or needed one. There were 3 or 4 cashiers and at least one lady walking around greeting you and seeing if they could help. It is pricier then your chain store but the products are cooler, unique, and many times locally made. Things you can't get at other stores or amazon. Like so many places, it's one downside is parking. It is a small lot, if you part in front you basically have to back in to spot blocking traffic or back out into traffic. There is a small side lot that is better but you basically have to 3 point turn out of that spot. Always willing to pay a bit more to support local. We don't get out of our area/comfort zone much but we do love this place. #Supportlocal

Be very careful as you open their door. Lovecraft is located in East Austin on 11th St. Their name comes from a 1990's Texas speakeasy that was creative and diverse. Lovecraft is women owned and operated small business with ethically made goods and sustainable brands. They also focus on emerging and new designers. This was my last stop in the boutique trifecta. Lovecraft is where fantasy meets whimsical, while making a lasting statement. Every items feel unique and one of a kind. I envision this store for gifts for the hard to shop for people. The store manager categorized the shop as apothecary (one of those dreamy, sensory‑filled shops with earthy scents to the beautifully crafted herbal blends. Focus is on wellness, ritual, and natural ingredients.) Price ranges from reasonable to expensive.
