A basic mani pedi, that included a rub down, came to $43 before tip. Everything is sanitized. - sealed tools, tub liners, etc. The chairs are comfortable, delivering a smooth massage. They were fine with me hanging out in one while my nails dried. The paint application was smooth and they paid great attention to my cuticles, which is the most important part to me. There was just the right amount of conversation between the tech and myself (I'm sometimes a little shy with strangers). Yesterday the technician, apparently relatively new to this salon, was very rough on my nails and did a horrible job on my dipped nails. I've been going for several months to Rockstar. I am an excellent tipper and always get the upgraded pedicures along with the dip nails. I was in on Saturday for both. I already have two chipped nails. I stopped by this afternoon for a repair and was told it would be over a 30 minute wait. First of all, how about staff up appropriately for walkins, and two....you could not have at least started the take off off the damaged nails so that it would be ready in 30 minutes for you to do the repair? I cannot tell you how many times you've left me sitting there to go and help someone else or take a phone call. I had loyalty to y'all, how about some loyalty in return? I go here periodically to get a pedicure. I had surgery a few weeks ago so I stopped in to get a pedicure. "Lackluster" would be a better name than Rockstar for this place. There were 4 techs and one customer. Mine was clearly pissed she had to get off her phone to help me. She did my pedicure in silence and didn't even smile. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day and didn't really mind - until one of her regulars came in and she dropped my pedicure to help her get settled and ran around matching her color. I was left mid-pedicure. When she came back she rushed through the rest of mine so she could get to her other client. Very sweet lady scheduled us day before. However , out of 3 of us, I was the only one who got a full 5-10 minute massage on arms and legs during our Mani-pedis. The other two got brief legs and a couple seconds on arms. However their polish turned out better than mine. My top coat doesn't reach the edge on several nails, and every single nail has bubbles on the polish. (I'm not a pro but read this is from brushing it on way too fast? Which she def did super fast) One of us wanted french tips on both feet and hands, and for some weird reason they wouldn't do her hands. It was $43 for each of us (+$5 for french tips). I will go somewhere else for $7-$10 more to not have these polish and bubble problems. read more

Got a pedicure and manicure done here. Pedicure tech was awesome, did a great job, was friendly and was enthusiastic about her jobs. No complaints with her. The manicure lady? Completely opposite sorry. First she asked what I wanted, I said acrylic. She offered the dip, I said no I've had dip and don't like it. She said "Dip better." I said no thanks I haven't had good experiences with dip. She asked why I told her it separates quickly at my cuticles and it makes my nails look fat. She told me it was easier, I said no thanks (thinking damn can you give me what I want, I am a paying customer for your services but I pick the services. That is how this works right? ) She storms off. Later, when she's up to do my nails I tried striking a conversation with her she was short and rude. I quit trying with her, didn't speak a word to each other, so awkward. She was completely rough with my nails they were killing me the next day (I'm not new to acrylic) Then she didn't even polish them. She said no we don't do that with these types of nails. They were somewhat shiny when I left but as the day went on they showed to be super duke w/ brown and yellow spots, very ugly. I felt like I was being punished for not choosing the dip. Came here while my mom was in town, they weren't busy but it took a suuuper long time to get our nail and toes done. We are both usually always cold but it seemed to be really hot in here! The ladies were nice enough, but of course as soon as you want regular polish and not gel they get irritated. Mom said her polish lasted a few more days than mine, mine were chipping later that day. Worst salon experience I've ever had. The lady that helped me cut my toe and then didn't say anything about it. I realized it when I was about to step into the bath tonight and that inspired me to write a review. Sure enough, nice little gash on my toe. Next, when she had finished my pedicure she left me sitting in the chair without an explanation instead of taking me to a dryer. So I sat there for like 30 minutes waiting for her to come back and not understanding what was going on. Finally I was like enough is enough, so I checked my toes and was just going to try to check out without her. The nail stylist who was working on the customer next to me called out to my stylist right when she saw me moving around and my stylist came running over laughing having just been chatting with her buddy at the front desk. She told me my toes were still a little sticky (duh.) but she put my sandals on me and I paid (and tipped like the fool I am) and left. I get home and check my toes and see that she shook the nail polish before she painted my toes- the polish is all bubbly and I have a cut on my toes. I came here a few months ago and I had a normal nail salon visit so I thought I'd go back there today- horrible decision. read more
