My tech, Lisa, did a good job on my pedicure and was super personable while doing so. In fact, Lisa with her quiet demeanor talked me into a manicure also. Lavish Nails & Spa in Austin, TX, is super clean with massage chairs that manage to massage most of your body...very relaxing. The salon has a number of service offerings including massages, waxing, nail dips and acrylic nails. The salon is located off Capital of Texas Hwy & Hwy 222 right next door to Waterloo Ice House. Writing for someone else for anonymous reasons. Called in for 2 people and they said it was good. Then tried to add in a 3rd person and they said they can for sure do that as well. The third person came in 2 minutes later and did not get their service/package at all. Completely lied to us and gave the third person 0 updates while she was waiting. Came in for a gel pedicure and was disappointed. I was assigned a nail tech that I couldn't tell if she was just new, too young or just really slow and bad at pedicures. She was having issues and was clearly flustered. Also: the sample nail colors are either faded or not consistent with a polish that is supposed to match. The number I chose didn't match what was being painted and I had to ask her to find a replacement color that was closer to what I asked for. One of the more senior ladies noticed and took over halfway through. She only did two coats of gel polish on my toes and because it was such a light color, it hardly looked like anything other than my natural nail color. No foot spa turned on, just a quick soak in about 2 inches of still hot water. $65 for this? NO THANK YOU. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Just in town for some business that we get our nails and pedicure done and we found this great place called lavish nails Scott is the owner hes very nice very accommodating and he has a husband and wife team doing Manny petties that would be Yen and Philip. The establishment is extremely clean and organized, with no selling tactics, just down home. Honesty and I love to get good service, so if you're ever in Austin, please check them out. I tried to like this place for the convenience and some good experiences but there were too many negatives that wasted my time: no shows for appt, ants in my pedicure ( water and my feet) that the tech didn't even notice after trying to clean me off a second time, base coat instead of polish that required return visit next day, crooked French gel tips on pedicure and SNS that didn't last 7 days while out of country. I've been going here for over two years now. Grew up in Austin and have been to nail salons all over. This place is, hands down, the best one. My dip nails don't break or fade and they do an excellent job taking off current dip nails. Other salons have cut up my hands but this place takes great care. My original plan was to get an SNS manicure and toe polish change, but I upgraded to a pedi. Scott is so friendly and welcoming. The salon is clean, and beautifully decorated. They have a great selection of colors for regular polish, gel, and SNS(Dipping Powder). Scott even helped me find the shade that would match my toes! I'm really sad that I had a bad experience here today because this was my fourth or fifth time going and I was thinking it was going to be my go-to nail salon. I went in with SNS done (by this same salon just a few weeks prior) and ask for the same thing again, same design and same nail shape. I had a nail artist by the name of Hannah. She was great at first and was making light conversation but quickly turned upset. I asked for her to cut my nails shorter and when she went past what I asked and made my thumbs shorter than the rest of all my nails, I said it was too short for my liking. She immediately got upset and said "Well, why didn't you tell me earlier?" when I couldn't see what she was doing because she was holding my finger and filing it down. She then put tips on my thumbs and conversed angrily to her coworkers in another language. (I totally don't mind when you speak to your coworkers and have your own side conversation, but when its obvious its about a client its rude and unprofessional). Then she asked me to show her how long i wanted them, I said I wanted them as long as all of my other fingers so they would match. She said "No, show me.". When she cut them and I asked for them just a bit shorter to MATCH my other nails she angrily said "SHORTER?" and her coworkers laughed from across the room, backing up my assumption that they were talking about me. I am a firm believer of the customer is NOT always right but one would think that as an employee you would talk to the customer and come to a compromise of what they like. She pulled my entire arm around and proceeded to berate me and tell me that I wasn't relaxing my hand when she was trying to move me in ways that my hand didn't bend. I was extremely upset and dissatisfied with my service at this point but I am not a confrontational person so I texted my mom. She came a few minutes later and when she walked in the door, Hannah's entire demeanor changed. She was suddenly being nice, having a full conversation with my mom and wasn't pulling my arm back and forth anymore. I don't know if this behavior change was due to the fact that I am a high schooler and she thought she could walk all over me or what but as somebody who works in the service industry I would never treat a paying customer like that. Its very upsetting because I always tip my nail artists above 20% and this was the worst service I have ever had. Overall, the design looked great but my nails length of my thumbs is quite a bit longer than the rest of my fingers and by the end of my appointment I was in tears because of how badly i was being treated. My mom said nothing because I asked her not to, although, I'm sure then Hannah would have listened. I was supposed to have a pedicure after my manicure but was so upset at this point I left. My mom left her a tip, which she 100% did not deserve and I left my appointment so very unhappy. The only reason I am not rating this business 1 star is because all of the other times I have come in here the service has been great, everybody is so very kind and I leave so happy and loving my nails. Scott (the owner) is amazing and I am always welcomed in with a smile. Today was not it though and I am extremely disappointed with her attitude and my service. She represents this company as an employee and she is not representing it well. I am not sure if I will come back after this experience because the nail prices are quite expensive to be berated and bullied throughout my entire appointment. If I do come back, i hope I have a better experience than today and will 100% change my review to a 5 star business like they seemed my first few appointments. read more

When both owners have an expectation and not an appreciation in gratitude for continued business, then you have a real problem in customer care. This place is not good for knowing how to do business nor to keep a client. Bossing and yelling at a paying client is not acceptable in the USA. Maybe in their country of origin but not here. They yelled at my daughter for messing up her nails accidentally while pulling up her shorts. This is not acceptable! And because I chose not to tip, they kept on asking for a tip; "you can leave the tip..," about 3 times already. How rude! I don't know how this community would put up with such business practices. The entire vibe esp Tina is extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional while Scott never defends a paying client and lets his employees humiliate the customers. Don't be fooled by Cici's prof looks, she behaves in the same manner; they all do. It's a fake acting business. Along with the new employees (husband & wife) who do a half inappropriate job on pedicures and acrylics and ask for so much money. Oh and don't forget, no price sheet is posted and so the pricing is deceptive based on your looks. So if you carry an expensive car or "look" like you can afford to be stiffed, watch out. That is their business model. When you just simply ask for the breakdown of the prices, they find it weird that you are questioning what you are getting ripped off for. Their manicures are for 47+ other places are for 35$ and that is for gel. They upcharge on shaping your nails, just hidden fees. They answer your business questions with an attitude all the time. It took me a while to catch on to their deceptive business practices and when this happened to my family, I was frustrated. This in NOT a reputable and forthcoming business. I was hoping this was going to be a good experience....I am new to this area and was looking for a new nail salon. Making an appointment was great and the owner even called to say I should arrive later since they were running behind. I loved this service and the owner was super great when I arrived. I was the last customer of the day and I don't know if I got the worst employee at the shop or what but I was not happy with my service. The services were more expensive than what I paid in Dallas but the service wasn't as great. They charged $3 extra for the 'extra special' OPI that is supposed to last longer.....it was chipping in 2 days. My pedicure was ok - it wasn't great for the $38 price tag. My manicure for $28 was RIDICULOUSLY bad. The guy did a poor job of painting my nails and then the hand massage was terrible weak. Unfortunately, due to the poor manicure and high prices, I won't go back to this salon. I'll continue my search for a new salon.....and I need to do it soon since my nail polish is already chipping....... :( read more

Very nice nail techs highly qualified and they also do massage 1 dollar a minute fyi. So far the nails I had were worn out so I had to do a complete set which I needed badly so the nail tech carefully removed all the old nails without pain. I was very happy to see how the finished product looked. The place is carefully decorated very spa like setting wirh soft spa music. One think that is a con was a mosquito was biting me because door was opened but not there fault. They do serve refreshments I wanted the red wine so it was served in a cold wine glass very classy. I will return and one positive is the foot massage was totally relaxing and longer than average massage I then ordered the parafin wax with basic pedicure. Not impressed at all. Made an appointment for 530 and was called to move my appointment to 645. Told them that I couldn't make that and they said to come in anyways and they would fit me in. Ended up waiting and not being seated until close to 645 regardless. When we were seated water was cold during my pedicure and I asked repeatedly to have it warmer, however, never was taken care of and told they were having water issues. Received wine and the glass came out covered in water as if they didn't even have the time to dry off the glass they had just cleaned. Service was sub par and she seemed rushed the whole time. Scott was an excellent host! I have come twice in the past two weeks, and have thoroughly enjoyed my trips each time! I recommend this place to any person who enjoys a relaxing environment. I walked in around 5 on a Saturday both times, and have gotten service within 15 minutes. I am always offered a drink, and the nail ladies are fantastic! They are very diligent and work hard to give a satisfying manicure or pedicure. This new nail place is a great addition to the area, and am so glad to have them around. The service here is absolutely amazing! My original plans at another day spa fell through a day before my sister's bachelorette party. Thank goodness I found this location because Scott saved the day. He reserved the spa for our exclusive use in the morning. We had full control of the music and television. Upon entering (hungover and tired from a night from partying), we were welcomed with water, fresh fruit, and pound cake. We were even served Vietnamese coffee! I was very surprised at how attentive and friendly Scott and the staff are. They talked to you and not to each other. My natural nails are pretty thin but the nail technician was very careful and gentle when preparing them for a full set. That's a plus for me.
