First time here and I will be back! Prices are comparable to other places. They have 12 chairs for pedicures and boy did they need all of them. Super busy on a Saturday at 11am. Happy they were able to provide appointments for four of us. TONS of polish colors to choose from. I got a classic pedicure with regular polish but I saw others getting gel. And someone in my party was getting a dip nail service on their fingers while their toes were being worked on. Talk about being fully papered!! I straight-up ABUSE my nails . . . I rip open boxes, swim or soak almost every day, play video games, and type like mad. So when it comes to choosing a nail salon, I have ONE criteria: Will my nails stay? The answer at Luxe Nails is YES - Julie does a GREAT job with my nails . . . even my perfectionist sister has commented how great their shape is. I do acrylic/gel so that I can fill them instead of a complete redo every time like you need with SNS powder . . . I'm two weeks into my first fill, and other than the growth they look as good as the day Julie did them. When I first had them done 6 weeks ago, I got them too long, and I snapped one off after a couple of weeks - the ladies were so sweet about fixing the broken nail and trimming all of them back at no charge, even though it was my fault they were too long to start with. That's a great way to make and keep a customer! I appreciate their fair prices, too. I also had a pedicure on my first visit, and the massage/pedicure chairs are the best I've ever been in. I got the Luxe pedicure for $43, and I thought it was a good value - Paula's massage was great! I'll likely be doing pedicures every other time I go in. I live in South Austin and have no problem driving up north every month or so to go here. So happy to have found them! read more

First time here, came for mani/pedi For my birthday weekend. Pedi was half assed, she was more interested in gossiping with her coworkers and i had to stop the man from doing the mani cause be wasn't doing acrylic after they asked me 5 separate times if i wanted a french/white tip. After i complained he wasnt doing what i wanted, and no one understood due to the language misunderstandings (I showed them an exact picture of what i wanted) I gave up and said just finish the pedi, i don't want the mani if it's not going to be done correctly. After this Cindy who was doing my pedi, actually finished really well, after a bit relaxing start. the whole experience was just not relaxing and frustrating that they didn't understand something as a simple french tip nail. I never been to this shop referral from coworker. Plus I haven't had my nails done for the five years. I had a first bad experience. Tired Gel-X nails for the first time and I didn't like them. Note to Nail Salon.... When you have a first time customer, please give the the best customer service experience; because word of mouth will hurt you...plus that's how you keep customers coming back. My so-called experience certified tech had little to no experience with Gel-X nails. But when asked they assured that she was qualified.... Wrong.. it wasn't what I expected. They knew she wasnt fully trained and insist on her doing my nails. Instead of getting a more qualified person to do them. I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to anyone. The worst rush job ever. I don't mind a quick pedicure but the lady was super distracted and wasn't even paying attention to what she was doing. The nail polish job was streaky and she expected me to be ok with it. I simply asked for her to please add another coat. All I was hoping for was a job well done and that did not happen. In the end she basically told me sorry I'm just really busy. As if I was not important, maybe because I wasn't getting the most expensive pedicure on the menu!?? I had a very disappointing and strange manicure. I had a gel manicure with a design on top from my last trip to a nail salon. The guy that was doing my manicure used the nail sander only to take off the design. He then proceeded to use a cuticle trimmer to peel the gel polish off. No soaking at all, no acetone, nothing. Then for the actual manicure, he used his own nails to push my cuticles back and then used the nail sander to finish it (blood was drawn). On top of that, he took several long text breaks on his phone (upwards of ten minutes worth) while I sat there. I had dip polish, and after the initial dip he got up and left, and I sat there for a few minutes. Eventually another woman came over and did the top coat. And then she walked away. Five minutes later I'm still sitting there, waiting for either someone to put lotion on my hands or tell me that I'm done. When neither happens I go to the front to pay. I can usually look past a lot of things. I definitely don't like to make a fuss, but this was very disappointing. Only giving 2 stars because the end results look nice, but the entire experience was awful. read more

I usually don't go to salons to do my nails but I did my Yelp research and this salon was pretty close to my place! As soon as I walked in I saw all the waiting chairs were filled but I didn't have to wait too long, 15 mins give it take. I noticed they had free soft drinks/water and a margarita machine. Of course I couldn't help myself and sipped on my alcoholic beverage while I waited. I got a classic pedicure, one up from an express which was decently priced. The gentleman who started prepping my toes was friendly and quick. The lady who finished the job by painting my toe nails was quick but did a good job! The place is pretty spacious and clean in comparison to a few I've been to. I would definitely come back in the future! read more

Made an appointment there for 4/27 and they were quite accommodating for myself and 4 bridesmaids. The pedicure was fab and the SNS nails on my fingers were gorgeous. I got pink with a holographic powder overlay and my nails looked like unicorn hooves. It sparkled so much in the sun and I've gotten numerous compliments on my nails. I love Luxe nails. Ivy, the shop owner, is the only person who has ever been able to consistently get almond nails the shape I like them. She remembers what shape you like and what styles and she also remembers things about you! I've gotten gels and dip sets and both have been awesome. If I break a nail, I just go back and it is fixed for no charge. They have a really massive color range and you are always welcome to say something until you like them! Definitely recommend- I already tell all the girls I meet who love nails about Luxe! They all have loved luxe and I think you will too! This is not my normal nail salon, but I was in the area meeting friends and this is the place that was suggested. I got a pedicure on this trip and was pretty satisfied with the results. I did have to come back into the establishment to get a touch up from the paint not being completely dry when I left. The dryers just weren't drying the nails. The paint job was also a little messy, but they were nice about cleaning up areas that I asked them. The massage chairs are definitely very different! I was taken a little off guard when my bottom started getting massaged....felt a little violated at first by the chair but got used to it by the end. I will probably come back here if I am ever in this area again. read more

This is my favorite nail place in Austin. The location is great and so are most of the nail techs, I never have to wait long to be seen, plus they have free margaritas! I always go to Maria, Nancy or Ivy for my SNS and they never fail to impress. I attached a picture of my awesome nails by Maria, which have been on for over a week and a half now (that's why they look a touch grown out). My nails usually stay on anywhere from 4-5 weeks, which is awesome compared to 2 weeks at most from other places. My ONLY complaint is that it's always SO quiet in there, they never have any music playing or anything... which is strange because I've noticed they have a sound system due to the speakers on the ceiling... This place is awesome!!!! I got my very first shellac manicure from them yesterday and I am SUPER pleased!!!! The price for shellac is $29- which is insanely reasonable, and my manicure looks beautiful!!!!! I am so happy. :-) The only reason I subtracted one star is because the details in the polish around the nail beds is a little bit sloppy and careless. The tech was on the phone for a bit of a time, and after that point I think the detail became careless and sloppy. But still, for $30 it's nothing that I would complain about to them, necessarily. From a normal distance my nails still look so gorgeous and beautiful and I am definitely happy with them. I will FOR SURE be back. A lot. :-) read more

Went for my very first mani/pedi appointment this morning. I arrived before they opened and sat outside for a short while. When the first employee arrived to unlock the door and open up, she greeted me really warmly. To be polite, I continued to wait outside while she set up and didn't go in until the 9:30 open time. She told me I could have come in sooner, which I thought was very nice of her, especially since I arrived before business hours had started. They have a ton of really nice polish to choose from, and so my friend who I had invited to join me & I took quite a long time to pick out the perfect polishes for us. I got seated in my chair quite comfortably, and as we were about to get started, my nail tech who introduced herself to me (Kathy) noticed that my choice of color for my toes was not a solid color, but a sparkle, and so helped me find a color almost exactly the same that would work well. Off to a great start, I settled in for my "Luxe" pedicure and basic manicure. What a relaxing wonderful experience for my morning. I left the massage part of the chair turned off after reading several other reviewers comments here about how they are a bit aggressive. I just don't find them very comfortable. The foot bath however, was quite relaxing. Kathy made sure it was the perfect temperature for me. She did a fantastic job with the pedicure, was very gentle with all her tools and took a lot of time with the scrub, leg mask, hot towels, paraffin wax dip etc.. so it truly felt like a spa treatment. As my legs were soaking up the magic, she did my nails, then switched back to my feet for the polish. The only reason I have one less star here is because when it comes to painting my nails, I am hard to please in that I have very high expectations. I want my polish on evenly so that the whole nail is coated well, with no awkward gaps on the sides or back by the cuticle. While Kathy did a great job cleaning the edges, my nails are not evenly coated and there are some obvious gaps in the polish on a couple of the toes. Luckily, I am so in love with the color I chose for my toes that I will probably buy some so I can always touch it up myself, but if it had just been even upon leaving there, this would be a five star review. Still, I really like this place and will definitely return again. You can't beat the prices for what you are getting (my mani/pedi became a combo pack and was discounted that way) and they are so friendly, clean and professional. Let me also add that my friend who came along enjoyed her manicure, and her paint job came out great. Her nails were done by Anna who was very meticulous about it. I know everyone paints differently, so it may just take a while for me to find a tech there who does the best job for me. Still, even if I have Kathy again, I will just ask her to be mindful of the polish edges, because she gives a really great pedicure and manicure. read more

Hands down the worst manicure I've ever paid for. And overall one of the worst nail salon experiences I've ever had. To start with? We called to ask if they had capacity for a group of us - four pedicures, and one mani/pedi. They told us to give them an hour. When we got there an hour later, they completely ignored us for about 15 minutes (granted, they were packed and had no seats for us). Apparently they thought we said four pedicures and one manicure - so they didn't have five chairs together. I was still trying to keep an open mind, but... After we got to our chairs, they turned the water on and then walked away...before we knew it, two of our pedicure tubs had overflowed and water was spilling out onto the floor...then they spent the next ten minutes mopping the floor... My pedicure was fine. Not good, but fine. But I could tell she was rushing through the manicure to catch up on time because everything else had taken so long and they had a lot of people waiting! She didn't shape the nails properly...they're jagged. I had a hang nail that I still had when I left (in fact I spent about ten minutes shaping my nails when I got home). The paint was completely uneven. She was rough - the skin just beneath my nail got scraped - A LOT - by nail files, and the skin there is still red and sore a day and a half later. I am not exaggerating - this was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I CANNOT paint my own nails, but I'd sooner paint my nails than go anywhere near this disaster of a nail salon ever again. read more

I had a shellac manicure and pedicure done here a few days ago. The pedicure was wonderful - even the express pedicure was wonderful and relaxing. They did a great job on my toes. The hot towel was a nice touch! Massage chairs were AWESOME. The reason I subtracted a star is the shellac manicure. I've gotten plenty of those before, both good and bad. The one I got today wasn't bad, but it wasn't quite good either. The lady who did my nails was very sweet and detailed, but when I left I noticed some residue on my cuticles and lumpiness in a couple fingers. Overall the service was top notch, the salon itself was impeccably clean, and the color selection was incredible. I think I'll be back for a pedicure, but I'll leave the shellac to my usual manicurist. read more

I love this spa. It's bright and sunny and clean, with a self-serve margarita bar, HGTV, and the sweetest technicians who do an amazing job consistently. You can tell they really enjoy providing great customer service and the whole pampering/girly aspect of the spa experience. I'm always in love with my nails after, even though I usually just do regular polish, but somehow it still lasts a week+.
