I have been apprehensive to venture out anywhere besides my weekly grocery store visit since the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Taneil made my first experience back to a nail salon so comfortable. Her salon was clean and sanitized, and she wore a mask as she did my pedicure (and I did the same, to protect her). As for the service, this definitely feels like a boutique type of nail service. I found her website, booked a mani/pedi online, and headed over to her new place, which is in a set of beauty suites right off Anderson Lane. Taneil did an incredible job with both my hands and feet. I'm a pedi regular, but have recently had a few lackluster pedicures that have chipped quickly at other shops. It's been almost a week since Taneil worked her magic, and my toes look perfect. Right off the Mopac feeder road at the end of an unassuming strip mall, sits her salon with 3 manicure and 3 pedicure workstations. It's a fun atmosphere and she's got plenty of OPI and Essie (and more) nail polish colors to choose from. The place smells pleasantly fresh, no overwhelming smells of any kind there, which I love. A basic mani/pedi combination will take about 1.5 hrs and you can book online! My pedicure actually stays put for nearly 2 weeks after, even with my rough and tumble schedule. I made an inquiry for appo around 8am and by 9am received my preferred time. The salon is hidden in a corner of a small strip mall off of Mopac before Steck. The atmosphere is relaxed. No 10 massage chairs here. They have 3 very comfy recliners and the pedicure set up ensures your comfort rather than expediency. the whole time. I added shellac polish. ​I've been seeing Taneil since June 2007. I am very particular about my nails and I love seeing Taneil because she is more particular than I am. She does natural nail services and has several hundred polish colors from OPI, Essie, Butter London and CND including Shellac/gel long wear lacquers. Taneil is up on the latest trends in nail fashion and tries out all new products and techniques on herself before she puts it on a client. Massage treatment comes with all of her services and upgrades are available. Her massages are incredible. When you arrive she has a variety of beverages and chocolates available and she will offer you a warm neck wrap. Take the neck wrap, it's delightful. She has Netflix and will let you pick the movie while she does your nails. Her conversations are always pleasant, never forced, she is polite and genuinely a classy woman. Bleu Nail Cafe has real furniture. No mechanical pedi chairs you find at so many nail salons. Bleu Nail Cafe has these beautiful brown upholstered club chairs that recline. Taneil's manicure table is a real table with a glass top, not one of those bean shaped manicure desks. Lastly, everything is clean. She has this sterilization machine that cleans the hardware tools and when clean they go into a surgical-like bag to keep them clean until ready to use and the disposable emery board and file are yours to keep at the end of the appointment. read more

Taneil has been doing my toes for probably about 8 years now. I moved to Austin to go to UT, and found her at Embellish. After having a few different nail artists there, I started requesting to only work with Taneil. Whenever I would go home from college and my mom would want to get a pedicure with me, I started politely declining because I didn't want anyone else doing my toes! She is truly that fantastic. I have followed her through her transition to her own wonderful business and will follow her anywhere. She and her team even came to my bridesmaids and me and did our nails for my wedding, and everyone loved her and her services. My pedicure never chips, and I don't even get shellac (and there is never any pressure or a word about upgrading services). Not only is her work incredible, but Taneil as a person is truly wonderful. I have come to see her as a friend, and we always ask about the details of each other's lives, OR if there is a day when I just need to zone out and be quiet, she GETS that and I never feel forced to make conversation. Just received my first manicure and pedicure from Taneil. Wow! What a wonderful experience. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years, but up until six months ago i had to get them done sporadically for awhile due to financial concerns. However, I am finally in a situation where I can get my hands and feet done on a monthly basis again. I considered myself a mani-pedi free agent for the last six months and feel I finally have found a home. Taneil did a great job and I also appreciate her kindness and professionalism. Based on recommendations, I went to Bleu Nail for a pedicure. My service was with Sarah. Wow. High quality pedicure, indeed. Copper bowl with lots of amazing things in the just-right-temperature water. Sarah scrubbed, waxed, massaged - not in a hurry, very thorough.
