Great spot in a large plaza with plenty of parking. The shop is run by a Vietnamese couple who are very kind. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure for $63 before tip (took about 1 hour and 15 minutes). They didn't charge extra even though I asked for 5 different colors (some salons nickel and dime you per extra color) and stayed late to finish my nails. They were really friendly, made small talk (but not an excessive amount), and took a lot of time and care with my nails. Apparently, they've been open for 28 years. read more

This place is far removed from the 'fancier' spots Downtown and in The Domain area that shuffle scheduled customers and walk-ins as quickly as possible. While Nail Salon accepts walk-ins, they won't do it to the detriment of spending time and care with scheduled customers so you won't feel hurried out the door. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new regular place to go!! I called midday and was able to get in for an appointment with Anne. I got a full set of SNS dip for $50! They came out amazing and Anne was a pleasure. We were joking and laughing a bit, which was drastically different from my last salon experience where they didn't talk to me at all unless it was about what I needed. Officially found my nail salon in North Austin. Called this morning to request an afternoon appointment... I asked for Nikki since many have raved about her here. She answered the phone and squeezed me in for a gel manicure and pedicure at 1pm. I had trouble finding it in the complex and a nice lady over the phone came outside to meet me. She seated me in a chair and filled the tub with water while Nikki finished up with another client. Everyone was very friendly and helped one another out. I love the job she did on my nails - they look so good. The massage Nikki gives is on point too. In addition to the arm massage, she rubbed my neck, which was much appreciated. This is also one of the most affordable nail salons I've been to as well. Best nail salon I've been to in Austin... will be back soon! read more

You probably think this is an error -- surely there is no place actually called "Nail Salon". You are be wrong. This business's only signage says "Nail Salon." Attracted to the simple and straightforward, and the fact that I walked in on a Saturday morning and they could fit me in. I had no expectations other then "my feet can't look worse" -- the salon is very simple and generic. I sat in a massage chair, not a fancy one but it felt nice, and read random magazines while I got a spa pedicure with massage and it fell marvelous. Then I realized I had been relaxing a long time and had to hurry. I told the woman doing my feet and she had me out of their really fast and my toes looked awesome! It's not a "girl's special treat weekend" kind of place, but it's reasonable and your feet look good afterwards. Extra star for OPI nail polish. read more

I was very impressed with my first visit the other day. I called ahead for wait times and it was spot on when I arrived. Older gentlemen (owner?) was very friendly. Nikki did my nails (solar full set) and she was amazing! Not only did she do a high quality job, she was friendly, great at communication and a lot of fun to chat with. I felt welcomed and wanted here! Price is amazing - $35 for a solar full set!!! Trust me I'm a lifer in the nail category and I've seen it all. My biggest turn off is the snobby feel and this place delivered on being pleasant and causal BUT high quality service. I will also say the smell was not obnoxious it is obviously well ventilated. I'm pregnant and so my request for a mask when the solar application came (which is always stinky no matter what) was greeted with a fresh sterile mask and a smile. This is the best nail shop I've found in Austin. I came in originally back in October 2014. I was getting married, and the previous salon I had been going to for 2 years destroyed my nails during a 'gel manicure.' I was freaking out that I'd look awful. I walked in, showed my hands and was seated within 10 minutes. The lady my manicurist finished with before me PAYED my bill!! When it came time to leave I was informed of her 'wedding gift.' I've been returning every 2 weeks for a gel manicure and pedicure with Anne ever since. Anne is wonderful at her craft, caring and patient. The man who runs the front is precious. The customers are not loud, shady or rude. The shop is clean, has a ton of magazines and everyone is sweet. Thanks Nails Salon! read more

Do not go to this salon. I have filed a complaint with the licensing board as well. I went in for a mani. 2 days later but finger hurts, near cuticle area. I get sick and the finger starts pussing. I went to a doctor because I started running a high fever. The doctor says whoever did my nails cut to deep and gave me an infection, they even recommended me to call a report in. I called and called the owner and left messages and they refused to handle the situation or say sorry. I could have died from the infection. I could not go to work for a week because I was so sick. Do NOT GO HERE!!! They need to have their license yanked for poor sanitation. read more

I love getting my nails done at Nail Salon! I've been a customer for many years but yesterday they did even better than I had hoped. I had broken my thumb nail below the quick which was both painful and very ugly to look upon. Philicia very gently and carefully trimmed off the broken and fixed it with a tip that perfectly matches my French manicure. And Christie gave me a wonderful pedicure and a very nice foot massage. Nikki does a great manicure and pedicure but the hand and foot massage beat any massage I've ever had. She is just fantastic at what she does and it hits my reset button when I'm worn and tired. The lady doing my manicure didn't push back or cut cuticles. She just painted right over them! The lady doing my feet did a nice job with the toe nail polish but could have scrubbed more.
