3 stars because they are friendly and clean. But my God I HATE my thick nails. Everyone I know loves E D Nails, so I gave them a second chance. I suffered through 2 weeks of them, and then went back and asked for thinner ones. They used the sanding tool thing and asked if they were good. They were so nice and thin. I thanked them and said yes. Then they put another big fat thick layer right on top again. I swear they are even thicker the second time around. I am miserable. $100 for something I hate. No thank you. I am off to yelp places that do dip nails, not acrylics. Until then I have stickers from amazon - best 9 bucks ever. read more

The two ladies that run this store are trying to bring their family over to America, and work very hard at what they do. They are so kind and very welcoming, not to mention gentle. Their service is always with a smile and they love to talk to you. Their prices are totally reasonable, bordering on cheap. Walkin's are welcome, appointments I don't think are needed. Their full pedicure and manicure is so relaxing and i love the lotions they use. You of course get a massage with it all too. They are really good at eyebrow waxing, they don't go overboard and listen to you when you tell them what parts you don't want them to take off, and how you want them to look. I love going to these ladies and do as often as I can treat myself to their wonderful care. read more

Yelp brought me to E D Nails, after a mediocre mani-pedi drove me away from my previous salon. E D Nails is small and unassuming from the outside and nothing fancy inside, but their service is top notch! I stopped in around 4 on a Monday and didn't have to wait at all. They promptly directed me to a spa chair and offered bottled water. I asked for a regular pedi and Shellac French mani. Their selection of polish is extensive. Two nail techs worked on me simultaneously which was great and efficient. They were both very thorough and detail-oriented. They were also very gentle with my cuticles. The woman who did my mani asked me if the nail shape and French mani design worked for me, which I appreciate. She also redid two nails when she realized they weren't just right. The woman who did my pedi was careful and even painted the edges of my toenails, which was awesome. The only real downside is that the spa chair wasn't all that comfy. Other pros though... clean tools and facility, gloves to protect hands from UV lamp, and they gave me a 10% coupon to use on my next visit. All in all, the whole deal cost $56 which is a great value for the quality. I definitely recommend this place! read more

I've been to a lot of nail salons in Austin and I'm not hugely picky but my mom is. She is extremely difficult to please when it comes to a good mani and pedi and this place did it. I've been here a few times with friends and always liked it so I thought I'd bring my mother and they surpassed my expectations. I got there half an hour before closing (with an appointment that I was a bit late for) and they stayed open happily and didn't rush through the services. They took their time and did an excellent job. Their color selection is good - not huge by much better than most. They have a ton of shellac/ gel colors. The atmosphere is relaxed with nice music, massage chairs are in good condition, they are CLEAN, and everyone is so so nice. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Ok, so the ambiance of this place leaves a lot to be desired. The lights are super bright and it is not cozy or spa like at all; however, the pedicure definitely makes up for what the environment lacks. Kelly did both my manicure and pedicure. She did a great job on both. I got the pedicure which came with a mask for your feet and included hot stones. After an HOUR, yes a whole hour of pampering, my feet and legs felt wonderfully tingly and relaxed and my toes looked AMAZING! I mean, the attention to detail was pretty much perfect. For my manicure, they let me sit in the pedicure chair which was awesome. I hate having to sit in the uncomfortable chair with my arms laid out in front of me on a table after having a relaxing pedicure. Getting to stay in the pedicure chair extends the relaxation period for me. Score! I chose to only have the clear polish on my fingers because I also hate waiting for polish to dry. When all was said and done, I was out about $47 (including tip) so not a bad deal at all. I will definitely go back. read more

I love the way my nails look! They look so pretty, but the actual quality of them, I'm not so impressed with. They look so unfinished, in which they somewhat are. I failed to notice at the beginning, but after looking I noticed they weren't properly filed on the edges. The painted part closer to my cuticle is already coming up, she almost gave me no choice but to get shellac because it lasts "longer", but the paint is already coming up and I haven't even had them for a week. For $50, I would just expect a little better job. read more

First I will say the ladies are very lovely. I had to have my acrylic nails infilled- was happy with everything except for when the lady started painting them with no care or precision. It was a clean the mess up later situation which is not good. My polish in general is a bit bumpy - not very smooth finish at all. Will have to go get them repainted tomorrow. read more

Awesome little place out of the way. Stopped in to get my acrylics filled and ended up taking then completely off on the advice of my nail tech once she saw the damage below. She did a great job with the removal, they look a lot better than the last time I had them removed. She was fast, gentle, and while I'm still sad about losing my stilettos she made it hurt a bit less by doing an excellent job on my stubs with shellac. Despite the labor intensive process of removal + shellac, my bill only came out to $33 and halfway through they even gave me a complimentary cold bottle of water. While I'm not from the area, I'll definitely stop by whenever I'm in town! Keep in mind that it is small, maybe four stations and four pedi chairs, but they are super quick to take walk-ins even on a Saturday afternoon. UPDATE: Took it down to 4, when the gel came off I started seeing just how thin they really filed them down, turns out it was almost to the nail bed on a few. Ouch! read more

Kelly was friendly, VERY gentle ( I tend to be very sensitive during pedicures!) and she didn't rush even as the salon got busier. Other customers there seemed to be regulars, and I can see why! Great mani/pedi. One finger chipped today, but I have been doing chores like crazy. Overall clean place, although no liners in the foot baths if that is something you are looking for. I've been a customer here for close to 20 years and recommend them for fantastic nail services. Kelly does beautiful french nails, whether real or SNS. I've had her do both over the years and never been disappointed. Pedicures are 5 star just for the foot/leg massage alone. Ask for Tina. I have to try not to fall asleep. And my pedicures always last at least a month if not much longer. They are super safe with temp checks when you walk in and required hand sanitizing. Also, they use liners for pedicure chairs. They are open by appointment only now, so make your appointment in advance. Don't let the simple shop, in the older shopping center fool you. This is a wonderful family owned and operated business. Kelly, Kim, and Ky are all unbelievably professional, friendly, and courteous. I personally have observed them staying late on more than 5 occasions for a customer - even one that called 3 minutes after close to say she was on the way! I've never found a business that did such a great job that I was willing to return to over and over again. I've now been going to E D nails for almost two years. They do such a great job. They listen to your requests and they take great pride in their work. It's very decently priced, too. Don't let the shopping center deceive you, it's a great, clean and friendly place. The staff is so pleasant and friendly, they call me by name every time I walk in. It's not usually very busy, so they tend to get you in and out pretty quickly. They also do a great hand massage with your mani or solar set. They don't just treat the service like a transaction-it really is pleasant! I think I'll go back today! read more

I stumbled upon this wonderful nail salon a couple years ago before I even lived in Austin. I was visiting a friend and needed a manicure... E D Nails was the closest spa, so I hesitantly tried it out. I was delightfully surprised to not only be given great customer service, but also one of the best, if not the best manicure/full set I've ever received. Fast forward a few months... I ended up moving into a place not too far and I've been getting my nails done here once or twice a month for the last year and a half. The whole staff is very polite and attentive. They are amazing! Talented, quick, and thorough. I usually only go once a year for a mani/pedi spa day to other places and discovered this place last month. I've been twice already! Why? Because every other place I've been to, my acrylics never last two weeks without at least one breaking or popping off. I have flat, paper thin, tiny fingernails. On top of that, I type furiously at work and after work for school. I also shoot firearms for sport. The first set lasted almost a month before I had them filled. Anytime I stray and visit another shop, I regret it. I travel from Round Rock to see these ladies and they NEVER disappoint. I am very tenderfooted and getting a pedicure should be a relaxing treat but so many technicians are rough and hurried - I cannot stand it when someone uses that tool to push your cuticles back and cram it into your toe - these woman are so gentle it tickles! You never get the feeling that they are talking about you. They are all sweet, I really truly love these girls. VERY Affordable and always perfect - seriously the best, most precise mani/pedis anywhere! My teenage daughter loves having acrylics and this is the only shop that does them right - they stay on and look perfect every time. Other shops cost more and only lasted a week. read more
