They do take walk-ins, but it's worth booking ahead. I arrived a little early and was able to relax, choose my color, and not feel rushed. They sat me right at 1 PM, exactly at my appointment time. My friend joined me for her pedicure, and the staff was so accommodating, they let me sit in the pedicure chair while she got hers done and even started half of my nails there so I could enjoy the chair massage just a little more! I love coming here for regular pedicures. Their prices are reasonable and the staff is always so friendly! The owner is hilarious and we always have fun when he is working. Mean girls. I stopped by on a Saturday around 12:30 PM, and the salon was completely empty with four techs sitting near the reception area. I asked the receptionist if I could have my gel removed from my hands and feet, nothing more, no manicure. Instead of answering directly, she turned to a coworker, said something in Vietnamese, laughed loudly, then looked back at me without responding. The interaction felt awkward, dismissive, and unwelcoming. As a first-time customer, it gave me "mean girl" vibes, and I decided to leave without service. As I walked out and glanced back inside, one of the techs gave me a mean mug look full of disgust. I went to another salon further down the street on Pecan Park, and they happily helped me with the simple gel removal I had asked for. FIRST & LAST EVER!!!! BEWARE!! If I could give ZERO stars I would !!!!! This is the worst experience I've ever had in my 58 years of life in ANY business. My hairdresser referred me to see her sister who was a nail tech at this salon. I was excited to have a new place close to home. It was clean and looked nice. The weather was nice so they had the door propped open. A man went outside and started smoking. It was pouring into the salon. I asked my tech to ask the man to go somewhere else or that they close the door. The owner went outside to tell him. He stopped smoking and then came into the salon and tapped me on the shoulder and told me I could not tell him to stop smoking. I asked if he could move bc I am allergic to it. He was very very rude. Come to find out he was an employee there and the same owner who asked him to stop smoking allowed him to accost a patron. I asked to leave right then and the manger said if I left that the lady I went to see would be the one in trouble. I stayed longer because I didn't want that. After that, the owner started yelling at her employees who were doing my nails and the lady next to me, in another language. It was so loud I guess she thought that since she was speaking another language we couldn't understand her and we didn't know she was yelling and angry at them. She was so animated everyone knew. It was so scary being there. I was so uncomfortable that I left before getting my nails finished. I paid in cash because I didn't trust them to have my credit card. I left shaking. The owner of this business is the most unprofessional business person I have ever seen. It has made me never want to go get my nails done in a salon again. Who allows their employees to smoke in front of the their business where women come for self care? What kind of owner allows an employee treat a client in such a manner? I could only surmise that he may be her husband. Not sure. But how else? What kind of business owner starts yelling at her employees in front of clients? Came in to get my acrylic taken off ... Seriously one of the best take offs I've ever experienced. My nails were strong and I was able to keep my nail length. A lot of this is credited to my nail tech (@southernkomfortglam on Instagram) Nevertheless, I've experienced very rough take offs in the past, causing me pain and leaving my nails weak and dry. I have been here a few times and like it and will come back, but the vibes were way off today. The gentleman who did my nails was great. However, there was some sort of altercation between 3 female employees. It was very loud and pretty awkward. One of the people involved had been working on my pedicure, but she abandoned me to go fight. It can only be described as ghetto. She did apologize but maybe just take it to the back or outside instead of yelling in front of a customer? Eh definitely not the best place I went to get my nails done. And not coming back. While my nails were being my done by a man. The lady next to him kept intervening throughout. I just didn't want a cuticle cut the lady told the man I didn't want a manicure and just color. So I had to ask for a buffer and file. The lady openly made fun of the color I picked. I honestly thought it was more pink but it came out very brown. When I asked for a color change they said if I had gotten acrylic nails it would have looked better. But he stopped adding layers and he also didn't color the entirety of my nails. The bottoms are still white (my actual nail color) at the bottom. So I have been coming to Austin Nails and Spa since I was a young teenager with my mom and we lived in the area, about 14ish years ago when it was owned by Hai and Katie. It's been a couple of years since I've come here to get a pedicure and ownership changed, when I called and made an appointment I spoke with Mike and he was super accommodating and helpful. He's also super funny and easy to talk to at check in/check out! Sue did a GREAT job on my pedicure (I have psoriasis so I am super self conscious and sensitive with my feet) and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his pedicure as well and his tech did a wonderful job also, but did not catch her name. We live in Salado now (about 45 mins away) but will definitely make the drive and return more often because the cleanliness of the salon, customer service and quality can't be beat. I got a pedicure today and it was amazing. The gentleman did a wonderful job with everything. Massage was on point and the price is not bad for getting parafin wax, hot stone massage and hot towels. This has been me and my mom's favorite place to get our nails done. We would come here all the time. We went there maybe like a month or 2 ago to get a pedicure. Today my mom decided to take off her gel. And found a fungi on her toe. And we think that the tool that they used to clean off the gel polish has not been sanitized. I hate that this has happened. I have been coming here almost every two weeks for about four months to get my acrylics filled/fixed up and either a regular polish or sometimes gel. Everyone that works here is very friendly and they are always polite and efficient and do a fabulous job! I've only had a pedicure here once but I loved it and they give you a complimentary adult beverage which is a nice bonus ;) I normally don't like when men work on my nails because In the past I've noticed they don't pay attention to detail, but the two men who work there have both done an amazing job on my nails multiple times and changed my opinion! This new nail salon has been open about 2 months in the space formerly occupied by PakMail. On the weekday evening that I dropped in for respite from the Christmas shopping frenzy, there were 3 lady nail techs and the male owner (who doesn't do nails) on site, two manicures in progress at the 6 mani stations, and 10 empty massaging pedicure chairs. The owner, Tony, was a very friendly salesman and clearly wants all of his customers to feel pampered. He insisted that I have a champagne cocktail (I got the feeling I could have had 3 or 4) and went into a lengthy spiel about how he did all of the tile-work and other finish work himself. He said that he wants to host parties at the salon (ether for early brunch or after hours) and serve cheesecake and drinks for groups of ladies or girls who want a pamper party. My deluxe mani/pedi by Nancy was great. She did get all of the crusty, snaggy cuticles and dry skin off and buffed my nails by hand to a tasteful sheen. I especially liked that she sprayed my cuticles with disinfectant at the end as an extra precaution against infection -- something I don't always experience in other salons. The place is very bright and clean and all of the chairs and equipment look brand new. Tony is so earnest and likable, I want him to succeed, but he is just getting started in the nail salon business and there are several areas for improvement he can address if he wants to reach that 4th and 5th star: * Turn off the TV, or at least put it on low volume on a non-stress-inducing channel (i.e., no cable news networks showing the latest caught-on-camera shoot-out - eek!). * Keep the conversation to a minimum. Your customer wants to enjoy the massage chair and that's a challenge when you keep coming over to chat every 5 minutes. * If you're offering a champagne cocktail in a chilled flute (a very nice touch!), make the drink at least 75% champagne. A mimosa that's 99% OJ is kind of a letdown. (I get the impression that Tony doesn't drink these drinks and so doesn't know what a good mimosa should be.) * Warn your customers if you don't have enough hands available to do a mani/pedi at one time. I was in there for 2 hours (!!) to get a simple soak/ exfoliation/ buff treatment with no polish on hands or feet. I'm used to getting in and out within 60 minutes, and that usually includes massage of feet, calves, hands, arms, and shoulders at my usual nail spa. I wasn't the only customer who was left without a full treatment as my next appointment to meet family for dinner drew near. * Get some girly-fashion-gossip magazines for women to read while in the pedi chairs. I don't subscribe to Us Weekly and People, but my monthly trip to the nail salon affords me the guilty pleasure of catching up on my celebrity gossip. Golf mags and nail tech catalogs don't cut it. * Do NOT photograph your customers and post their pictures on your website without their permission in advance. Papparazzi-style ambushes while in unflattering poses do not make for a very relaxing experience. I didn't want to make a big deal of it, but it kind of freaked me out.... read more

I went here with a Groupon so I called and scheduled in advance. When I got there, they greeted me promptly and got me seated in about 5 minutes. I know people talked about the champagne and chocolates, but I guess that doesn't come with the Groupon. I don't blame them and I can't drink anyways. I was surprised that they never turned on the massage chair. I probably should have asked but was a bit afraid of rejection and I didn't see anyone else's chair moving. My mani/pedi were very basic. They didn't try to get me to buy anything extra, which I appreciate. I know they advertise that they have a ton of colors, but I didn't think they had a great selection.... not bad, just not great. I also got my eyebrows waxed while I was there. The girl was very nice and they looked pretty good, but I was surprised that she didn't pluck anything to shape them better. They still looked pretty good in the end. At checkout, I tried paying with Amex, which the girl quickly told me that they don't take. I always wonder how true that is. Do they really not accept it, or do they not want to because Amex charges a slightly higher rate than some of the other cards? read more

I got lanessa and she did a wonderful job making sure I got exactly what I wanted. I got the gel French manicure and a pedicure with regular nail polish.
