5 Stars for the unexpected TLC from the Tall Quiet Guy Foot Whisperer! Went in hoping for a decent pedicure and left feeling like I'd had a full-on foot-spa romance novel moment. Last night, my best friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a little pampering. We both found a late night pedicure appointment with this particular spa that was willing to take us last minute before closing, so points to them for doing that. We got in, sat down immediately, and I'll admit...I had my doubts about the tall, quiet guy who ended up being assigned to me. I thought he was going to be some newbie backup assistant who was going to give me a shoddy job, but BOY was I wrong. This man came ready to work. He gave intense-yet-gentle attention to detail that could make a girl blush. He got very up close and personal with my feet, no mask... (like, very close so that he could see what he was working with), and it was so intimate and focused and sweet. The intense way he manhandled my cuticles thoroughly (but weirdly, gently)...getting deep into the skin around the nail-bed to get all of the dead skin away...to the intimate and gentle deep massage of my legs...my lower extremities felt like they'd been to a fancy retreat by the end of it. He scrubbed away every callous and spot with dead skin, making sure to support my legs for me so that I could simply relax. And the IMMACULATE paint job!? WOW. He had the tiniest tremble in his hands that I almost found cute, but those strokes were on point. Each brush of polish landed perfectly, like he'd trained under the finest nail artist. To the tall, mysterious foot whisperer: Thank you for the meticulous and unexpectedly intimate experience. I'll be back, ready to blush through another therapeutic massage and maybe next time I won't underestimate you. I've been here a few times now and I've appreciated the quick service. The majority of the time I've come without a reservation but my group of three was able to be seen quickly and the staff there is very friendly. The first time was just for a pedicure and my feet were in pretty rough condition. After treating myself to their 'organic' pedicure I felt like I had new feet and questioned why I had not made this a regular occurrence. I decided to go for a mani-pedi on my most recent visit and got pressured into getting color for my toes but not for my hands. I was told that I'd get the 'movie star' treatment for my fingers and definitely got them buffed and smoothed out, so much so that it didn't feel like my own fingers. My second organic pedicure went just as well but with the added color but it dried quickly. This was my first time getting color but honestly? I like it and when, not if I go back to get a pedicure I'll get color again. read more

My pedicure exceeded expectations! I had the 8 minute massage on my feet and it felt so nice. Part of my pedicure involved wrapping warm towels around my lower legs and I was amazed that it provided a bit of relief for my sciatica! I was a little sensitive to the temperature of the paraffin, but that was an easy fix. My toenails ended up being a perfect, beautiful bright color and it lasted for 3 weeks! I understand language barriers making any communication difficult, especially when the languages are so different and one or both parties aren't familiar with the other's language. However, I communicated what I wanted multiple times. I said I'd like an extension on my fingernails to get a colored French tip design, and regular nail polish on my toenails with the same design. Not only did another lady have to come to explain to my original nail tech multiple times what I was saying by translating very simple English into Mandarin, but I also heard what they were saying (I took 5 years of Mandarin). I do not appreciate the way I was made fun of for "being too confusing and probably not knowing what I'm asking for" even though their failure to understand my simple and well communicated request resulted in the lady messing up my nails. The energy was toxic, and I felt uncomfortable the whole time. The only thing I appreciated about this entire service was the check-ins from another man that was serving everyone drinks, and asked me what I want. It wasn't anything special. The owner/manager attempted to apologize for the misunderstanding, but right after doing so, she proceeded to mock me, because apparently I "can't be smart because I mixed up gel and gel x." (I never even said gel x. I said acrylic in the beginning and was brushed off and gaslit into doing gel x.) In the end, my nails weren't even gel x, they just look like shitty quality press-ons because the lady didn't know how to portion the glue so that it doesn't spill onto my fingers, which happened several times. All in all, do NOT go here unless you want a less-than-mediocre experience for an unbelievably high price. No hate, just shade. And lots of it, at that. Oh, and as a side note, I got an infection in one of my toes and two of my fingers from unclean tools. Thanks a lot, guys. I've had these for under a week and I'm quite underwhelmed to say the least. read more

The pricing is fair & their attention to detail & caring for their customers is impeccable. Their nail techs are artists & extremely skilled in creating a healthy & comfortable environment. I came into gloss today expecting a normal mani pedi experience but what I got was so much more. Mai, Tammy, and Annie were so sweet and personable. As someone with bad anxiety, getting a pedicure can be anxiety inducing but the whole experience was relaxing and fun. I got the jelly pedicure and it felt really cool on my feet and got pink gel polish! My toes were in rough shape but they didn't make me feel bad about it. I asked for a natural looking mani since i can't have nails at work and they delivered! I loved the experience and the welcoming environment and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. :) read more

I happened to walk in here by chance after mailing something at the UPS store next door and I couldn't have found a more relaxing environment with staff who are very friendly and have an excellent attention to detail. They made sure I left absolutely loving the color and shape of my pedicure. Thanh did an incredible job and gives incredible foot/leg massages. Definitely spring for at least 10 minutes because they use hot stones and it is after the wax. You can pay for more time because believe me once they give you the 10 min, you might want more. I usually dread the usual beating on your legs and have received some pretty interesting massages in all my pedicures but never has it been this enjoyable. It's pretty reasonably priced as well for the level of service you are receiving there. It's got tiered prices for manicure services and pedicure services and you will not be disappointed. This place was previously under different owners so if you have been before definitely give it another try! Thanh and Mai are the best of the best but I saw all the other customers pretty pleased with their services as well. read more

Great place for walk-ins! My sister and I were searching for a nail salon still open after 5pm on a Sunday and decided to go to Gloss. Definitely did not disappoint! Being a walk-in at a new salon can be hit or miss, Gloss Nails & Spa is most definitely a hit! The service is exceptional. You are greeted and treated by such friendly team members.
