Went for a pedicure with a friend today. The place was empty, yet the young woman helping me rushed through my classic pedicure. She was definitely more interested in having her conversation than carefully cutting my cuticles. My polish is already chipping. Definitely disappointed and won't go back. Yen is a nail artist and Kim gives the best pedis. I've been going to this nail shop for years and I love the service, quality, and prices. Yen is why I'm writing this review. I've been gate keeping his skills for too long. You bring him a picture of what you want and he has the skills to do almost anything. His attention to detail while keeping the appointment fun is so impressive. Could not recommend this place enough. Came here while on vacation in Austin, wasn't impressed, yea they took me in as I walked in with no wait, they offered a drink, and were pretty friendly. BUT I only came here because of the good ratings, I wish I knew who did the clean nails in the pictures others posted because I wasn't completely happy with mine. If I have to go home and work on my nails it ain't good! Also just a side note to the salon- it is extremely rude to speak in your own language with the other employees and crack up for the entire time you guys have customers in. And this is coming from a person who speaks different languages as well, I always refrain from speaking anything other then English while I'm in public so I don't make others uncomfortable. Made me feel weird as they also passed glances at me after talking to each other. Overall, I'd say keep looking guys I'm sure you can find something better. Austin is full of salons! read more

I have not been here since before they remodeled and it was just as pleasant as I remembered. The remodel is very updated and chic clean and everyone was friendly and professional. I just came in for a basic pedi and it was relaxing, just what I needed. Also, Tom, is GREAT with nails. When I wore long nails I would always go to him and he is still thre. I stopped by while I was in Austin for work. Decently priced spot. Most of the staff seemed friendly. Girl didn't like the color I originally had picked which confused me on why they had it. The time definitely took longer than expected. I'd only come back with a lot of time. I also somehow ended up with some shellac on my hand. That wouldn't have been an issue but the girl decided to use a file on my skin before I could even stop her. It's now almost a week later and my skins still healing from being scratched up. The back edge of my nails could have been a bit better along the cuticles to now be sticking up as it grows out. read more

Good, simple nail shop to come in and get designs! I've been here a handful of times and have always been happy with my nails. They have wine and often frozen adult beverages too which I really appreciate. Yesterday Ty did my nails and they turned out awesome. He added some build to them because they were so short, which really helped the overall aesthetic of what I was going for. He was also very fast which was a plus! So upset with my last service here. Was given the wrong color dip and just had it covered over with a streaky gel polish as well as a really poorly done design. Worst of all, I explicitly asked to keep my nail length and just square them off A LITTLE but left with basically nubs. 85$ for a mani pedi basic. The mani turned out horrible after 2 hours of work. I had to turn back and get it fixed. Thank goodness I had the time to do so because it was not worth the money. I showed them the paint job full of dents and bubbles and ripples. When they looked at it they said sit down to fix it with another lady. The original girl came over to see what was being fixed I showed her the photo and she didn't apologize for a pour job and waste of time just looked and walked off. No one apologize for the service and it was a complete waste of my time especially for a $50 manicure I would not recommend this place and don't waste your time here. read more

After 2 visits here I can easily say this is my favorite nail shop! They are VERY busy y'all sand let me tell you why. For $28 you get a upgraded pedi with, several masks/scrubs, hot towels, and your choice of paraffin or hot stone. It was so relaxing! The lady who did mine I didn't catch her name but it's 4 weeks later and the polish is still on!! They even created 2 big toenails out of acrylic for me since mine had broken off! I couldn't even wear sandals and they fixed that for me. I am more than happy! So happy I decided to go back and get my first set of acrylic fingernails in almost a decade. Tweety did my nails. She was fun! And she SLAYED my nails. I felt like a sexy kitty walking out of there for sure. The prices are awesome and the work is bomb! Great job T Nails! read more

Thanks to the great Yelp reviews for steering me here. I rarely ever get my nails done, but sometimes I treat myself and in this case, it was also for my sister's wedding. I had a regular pedicure and a gel manicure done. The tech who did my gel manicure did a great job with the black polish and gold flecks. They have a good clip of business here, so I would suggest an appointment. I think for both it was around $60 and I was done in 1.5 hours! read more

It's upsetting you come in show a picture they say they can do that set when it comes time they can't do it I wanted square nails with a thin French tip and they're rounded I said multiple times I want square shape please and he couldn't do the french tip thin at all I just finally said I don't like it can you please take it off left with a nude nails set and paid $50 for nails I didn't even want so sad what nail shops are coming to I would appreciate honesty if the person can't do that set please say that I rather wait for a person that can or find a salon that can do it I'll post what I asked for and what I ended up leaving with. I've been going to T Nails for 3 years now to see Jenny and I love how my nails turn out every single time I visit. Everyone is always so nice and the place is always clean! Jenny really takes her time to make sure your nails come out perfect just the way you want them. I always get dip and my nails last 3-4 weeks without chipping or anything! T-nails is my fav nail salon in ATX by far. literally everyone that works there is so talented. Ive gone here a few times over the past 7 years and everytime I have has always been a great experience. The pedicures are so amazing too!!!! I literally almost doze off everytime bc it's so relaxing Jennifer did my nails and pedi today and I'm sooo in love! I LOVE MY NAILS!! I kinda had an idea in mind of what I wanted for my nails (beach themed since goin to beach this week) but I'm sooo indecisive and they just have so many options I know to some nail artists that can be frustrating, but Jennifer was super sweet and we finally came up w an idea and I'm sooo happy w the outcome. If you're looking for a place that is efficient, detail oriented, exceptional customer service (surpasses exceptional), great color range, clean and breathable environment then you need to come here. I've gone to over 12 salons in Austin and this is the only one that is worth the price. Every other places overcharges for crap! Stopped by on a whim with my girlfriend for mani pedis. The pedis we're great and the results of our gel manis we're great. Later that night I managed to break one of my nails (natural) clean off. Went back the next day to see if they could repair my one nail, so my colored French mani didn't look weird. They quickly took me in and fixed it so you can't even tell! I went into this salon for the first time on Monday and I am so happy that I did! I just started working down the street from here and had been going to my previous nail salon for 15+ years! Jennifer did my SNS manicure and she was so sweet and thoughtful. She was even extra careful with my cuticles, as my skin tends to get extra dry during this time of year due to my eczema. SNS was $40 (along with removal of my previous SNS). This is SIGNIFICANTLY less than Caesar's at the Domain that has such overpriced services. I recommend 100%! I had a wonderful experience here! I called ahead and made an appointment, which was good because they were so busy. I could tell that everyone around me were regulars, which means a lot when coming to a salon. All of the techs were friendly and having conversations with their guests. My tech (I didn't get his name) did a wonderful job with my dip set. They had a ton of colors to choose from for dip, gel and regular polish. It cost $50 +tip and was worth it! I look forward to coming back for more services when I'm in the area read more

This shop just gets better and better! I love the way they rearranged everything and did a slight remodeling, more pedicure chairs are being added on. Great service! And of course you cannot forget about their wine. Whats a mani/pedi without it? I live down the street so its very convenience for me. I scheduled an appointment for a pedi and full set on Saturday. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was sat down right away and was offered a complementary drink. I came in for a simple neutral French set and specifically mentioned at the beginning that I wanted my cuticles cleaned up so the nails would blend seamlessly with the natural look I was going for. Instead of doing the cuticle work first, the powder was already applied before my cuticles were cut, which left a noticeable gap between the product and my nail bed. On top of that, the French tips were not done the way I requested initially. The lines were very thick, and I had to ask for them to be thinner after. The nails then had to be redone multiple times, and after only one hand was completed, I was suddenly told it would be an extra $20 because the French tips were being drawn individually. That pricing was never communicated beforehand. At that point, I was already unhappy with the service and asked if we could just leave the base on so I could fix them myself at home. Even after leaving unsatisfied and without the finished look I originally asked for, I still paid $70... I understand mistakes happen, but communication and quality matter. Being charged extra for something I was already unhappy with especially without clear communication upfront did not sit right with me. I will not be returning here anymore.

After giving it some thought, I do believe I clearly communicated what I wanted, and I ultimately feel that I may have been overcharged. To start with the positives, I called ahead to see if they had availability for a walk-in. They told me it would be about 30 minutes, but I was welcome to come early and sit in one of the massage chairs while I waited. I appreciated that and did exactly that. It was relaxing to sit in the chair while they finished with other clients. Once they were ready, my pedicure began. I originally selected a lower-tier service, but the technician explained the Detox Pedicure very well and suggested upgrading. I agreed, and overall the pedicure experience itself was pleasant. While the pedicure was being done, another technician started on my hands with the manicure, but when another walk-in client arrived, that technician left to start a pedicure for the new client. The technician finishing my pedicure then move to her station and continued with my manicure and applied the clear dip. It was a seamless transition and excellent team work. I will say that I did like the quality of her work on my manicure and the dip. However, I did notice something with my pedicure. I had asked for clear polish on my toenails, and while it was drying it looked like some white dust had settled on the polish. I was trying to figure out how to mention it, but when the technician later applied oil to my toenails, the white appearance seemed to disappear and the nails looked glossy, so I assumed it had just needed to be brushed off. When I took a shower later that day my nails looked like I originally saw with a white dusty and matte look to it with some spot shiny. When I went to the register, I was surprised that the total was $130 before tip. I had calculated the $55 Detox Pedicure plus the $45 dip manicure, which I thought would be around $100. I assumed I may have miscalculated and didn't question it at the time, so I paid and left a 20% tip ($26) for a total of $156. When I got to my car and reviewed the receipt, I noticed there was an additional $10 charge listed for a "Cuticle Trim", along with a $20 "Additional Charge". $30 extra on to the bill. At most salons I've been to, the price of a dip manicure already includes the basic manicure prep such as cuticle trimming and nail shaping before the dip is applied. I get my nails done fairly regularly, and this is the first time I've ever been charged a separate and unclear $10 cuticle trim and $20 additional charge fee on top of the dip manicure price. The menu did not clearly indicate this additional charge, and it was never communicated to me beforehand. While I did enjoy the service quality of the manicure and the overall pedicure experience, I was not happy with the final finish of my toenails and was especially disappointed by the lack of transparency in pricing. This experience left me feeling unsettled. Clear communication about pricing, especially additional fees, is important so clients can make informed decisions before services are performed. Unfortunately, I don't feel that happened here. For that I don't plan on returning.
