A complete waste of $100. All I wanted was silver chrome & when I left I noticed how scratched up my nails look. I went back inside and they made it seem like I was being the biggest inconvenience for being unhappy with my nails. They finally told me it was just the way silver chrome is. I walked in on a Friday morning. There was about a 10 minute late, which was perfectly fine. They were super nice and attentive and I have been to about six nail salons in Austin and this is the first one that I could honestly say K an absolutely perfect set start to finish didn't skip any steps. Did everything you want their price is more than fair and I got one of the best sets I've had since maybe I was in high school. Not thrilled. I've now been there a handful of times and just decided to get my first ever gel pedicure. They gave me the colors and I assumed the foil was included in the price, like I thought it was either all from the same bottle as the color or something because the guy told me $18 extra for any colors on the wheels of nail samples. No, it's an additional 25 for foil. So I chose a color I didn't want alone but it ended up being alone. I chose red with foil and I just have red toenails. I do not understand why. If I wanted red without foil, I would have picked red without foil. The lady who did my nails was extremely nice but I think when I asked her qs, she didn't fully understand/language barrier. But really the guy at the front spoke perfect English so there is no reason for any of this confusion. It also smells really strong of citrus there so if you're prone to migraines or strong smells irritate you, not the place. The booking process was very easy, I just called and 20 min I was in! They ask if you want anything to drink and serve non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. She even helped me pick out a nail color from a picture I brought in because I couldn't find an exact match from the samples. She took the time to bring one from another book I haven't even seen. An update- I emailed the owner who apologized for what happened. I told them I didn't expect anything from them, just an apology, which I got and was fine with. The first time I went back after my previous review I told the tech what happened and showed photos. She took her time and while my nails were still very thin, I left feeling good about the fact that they'd eventually grow out and I'd get my natural nails back. A month later I called to try and get an appointment with her either that day or the next, and they told me she was off both days. I went in that day anyway because I needed my nails done and couldn't wait on her, and she's there. Not sure where the miscommunication came, but I was bummed. I haven't seen her since so either I've been randomly going on days she's off or she left. I've been maybe 3-4 times since and I'm just done. It seems like they only use metal drill bits now (or at least I've had the misfortune to only get techs who do) and apparently you're never supposed to use those on natural nails. My nails looked, and felt, worse every time. Last time I went the edges of my nails weren't really filed and I had to go home and smooth them out because they kept catching on everything. I went somewhere else and told them the issue. They soaked off all the dip and said my nails were so bad they didn't even feel comfortable doing anything with them except just a regular polish until they grow all the way out. It seems like a weird thing to be upset about, but I love my nails and it's going to be such a hassle to get them strong again. read more

This used to be my go-to spot in the domain for two years. The last three visits I've see a change in quality but wasn't bothered enough to stop going. On my last visit, the manicurist (woman whose whole left arm is tattooed) would not show me the colors to select from. It was bizarre. She kept asking me verbally. ??? When I did pick a color, she finished the job and said something was wrong with the paint and it didn't go on right, but then walked me over to the cashier to pay. But she didn't seem interested in fixing it and charged me $60 for full tips that she cut all the way down. This was the first time in a decade I didn't tip for a manicure. I say that because I'm not a Karen. I didn't say a word the whole appointment but there was this feeling that they didn't like me. I'll let the photos speak for the painting job. I've given this place multiple chances, and every time, I've left disappointed. One time, I got a gel pedicure, and the technician didn't cure it properly--by the time I got home, the gel on my big toe had smudged and looked awful. Every pedicure I've had here seems fine at first, but by the next day, my feet look like nothing was done. My calluses come right back, as if they barely scrubbed them at all. But the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon happened here. DO NIT GET BUILDER GEL. This was my first time trying it, and from everything I've seen online, the process involves applying thin layers. Instead, the technician applied a huge, pea-sized amount, which caused an exothermic reaction. It felt like dipping each finger into boiling oil. I was sweating, my heart was racing, and I kept pleading that I couldn't handle the pain, but she either didn't understand me or ignored me and just kept going. No alternative was offered, and we were only on the second finger--I still had eight more to endure. By the time it was finally over, my nails felt like they had been smashed with a hammer. I went home and cried to my boyfriend because of the extreme pain I had just paid $90 for. Between the consistently poor quality and the unbearable pain they put me through, I will never return to this place. read more

I did kindve feel like the lady doing my toes was rushing a bit but she still did a good job. Ask for Kim, she knows the pricing well and seems like she's been doing this for a while. The design turned pretty and well made. There was an older lady who did my cuticles and it was a tad bit heavy handed but when Kim took er, everything was very good. It was $25 for my design on top of $35 or $38 for gel nails. The place is run efficiently with a designated receptionist who asks you what drink you'd like to have. Plenty of choices too. The design and colors are a ton to choose from. Do not go here. Overpriced for bad service. I was nothing but friendly and the woman that did my nails simply did not want to do the manicure. I had to ask her to file my nails evenly more than five times. She would file one half heartedly, and ask me if it was ok when it still was not done. I had to repeatedly tell her to do each finger, and even after that, the tips of some of my nails were longer. I was paying for a manicure, so the least I expected was even filing. Then I asked her to please not cut my cuticles...and she made a big deal out of it and got upset at me. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday to get my nails done and it was a great experience. We had an appointment booked for 2pm, but got there around 1:50pm and they quickly seated us and got us started which was great! We were offered something to drink plus offered my bf a pedicure while he waited for me. He opted out, and they let him sit next to me while I got my nails done. Everyone was sooo nice! I had the male technician and girl let me tell you: he did so well! I went with a chrome nails look and they came out better than expected. No bubble nails here! Perfectly filed down, symmetric and he was very attentive the whole time making sure they nails came out to his standards. It came out to $83 total ($63 base price for acrylics full set and $20 chrome glitter) plus we tipped him $17, so in total it was $100. Both my boyfriend and I thought that was actually really fair pricing considering how nice they came out and I've definitely paid more for less at other places that like to nickel and dime you for everything. First and only time coming to this salon. I called ahead of time to see if they did acrylic design and they said yes so I rushed over on my day off. My nail lady cancelled the night before and I needed nails for my upcoming trip. The design I wanted was too expensive I said okay just ombré , she said she can't do the ombré like the color in the picture. It was orange, red and black colors. Not sure why you can't match those colors?!? I said okay what about French tip? She said yes , as she's filing my nails she said it's $55 now and when you choose length we will see how much it is. I should have know they were gonna raise it up by a lot. She then tells me it's $95 after she cut the length. I said "it raised up to $40 based on the length"! It was awkward cause I said that is ridiculous but because it's my only day off this week and I have a trip this weekend , I figured I might as well get them done. She was bantering back and forth with the other nail artist there so I assumed she was talking about how I was complaining. She took about an hour and 20 minutes. I still tipped $15 on the $95 bill. I am really disappointed about giving this place a bad review. I had been going here since they first opened about every other month and have had great service each time. Most of my technicians have been phenomenal, the quality of service they usually provide is insane and is what made me a loyal customer. Plus they are all so friendly so it really stinks to feel this way about my most recent experience. I had gone in for just a dip removal and clean up since I had damaged one of my nails. I was being helped by a kind technician who was super attentive to my injured nail and being carful, but was pulled away due to scheduling conflicts (which is totally understandable as I was a walk in). Unfortunately, the woman who i assume to be one of the managers (carrying around the schedule book) took her place and could literally not give a care in the world to what she was doing. She cut down my nails and barely filed them; I legit had to ask her to make it even (isn't that just supposed to be a given? lol) but even then she still couldn't be bothered to do so. I'm not sure if the pictures really capture how rough uneven they are but even my boyfriend was like "ummm?" It was extremely clear that she want to finish ASAP so that they could accommodate other customers who may be paying more. I have come in for just removals before and have NEVER had this experience, it's truly such a shame bc I really do appreciate and adore some of the other technicians I have had and this kind of customer service from what appears to be management is really dissuading since you kind of expect more them as they are in a position of power. I am not sure whether I would come back yet because again, I have had lovely people work on me before and would hate for those people to lose out on business due to poor management. read more

I don't have a specific person I use every time because the service from all techs there, in my experience, has been positive and great quality every time. The last time I got my manicure done I will say Chloe did a fantastic job and matched my inspo photo spot on. (Pic attached) If you communicate or show a photo, you'll get what you're looking for. The salon itself isn't the most fancy (I've tried Vince Nails in the domain which has a fancier vibe) but the service is always solid and I don't feel overcharged or pressured when I'm there. I do not recommend this place. My bill came to $210 and I feel that I was overcharged. I called in to see if they can do diff designs, the guys told me he would assign me to someone that could. When I showed up, I showed the pic to my nail tech and she said it would not look like the picture but similar. When I asked about pricing , the manager said it would be $130. I felt this price was high, but haven't gotten nails in a minute so wasn't sure. Mind you they weren't xtra long. I got coffin shape med-long. And why would I have to pay so much if you can't match the photo. I got a pedicure afterwards. She told me it would be $18. I didn't think $18 PLUS the basic pedicure price. When I got to the counter, let's just say I was baffled by how much I had to pay. I still left a 20% tip for her time. Reading the reviews I definitely feel as though I was overpriced. When I got home, I realized the bubbles underneath my nail and how uneven they were. Sometimes you get too anxious to complain when they've already made you feel as though you're doing the most. This is my go to nail salon. It looks clean and the workers are very nice to me! I always get asked if I want anything to drink. They serve alcohol too which is nice. I come in as a walk in and never have to wait any longer than 10 mins. They always make sure everything is up to my standards before I leave the door. My sister and I have been here before when it had just opened and had a great experience. My sister had gone back several times since and has never been disappointed, but after this last time it will be our last. We were WAY over Charged and tried to reason with them but it didn't get anywhere. My sister got a full acrylic set with black tips last month and paid 60$. Today she got a refill but blue tips (pic below) and charged her 80$. I don't know how a "fill" ends up being 20$ more than a "full set" there were no designs but they tried to say because the polish goes longer on the sides that means it's a design...even though my sister didn't ask or want that. They only took off 5$ to make it 75$ but I think it's still wrong to charge the customer that much more for the exact same service they had before and not make sure they are okay with the price before it's time to pay. My service was a shellac manicure with French. It was done in less than 20 min. There was polish left all over my fingers. I had to ask someone else to remove it for me. There is still skin left around my cuticles and didn't get a full manicure. It was very rushed and slapped together. We weren't offered anything to drink when the people around us all had drinks. It wasn't a warm and welcoming feeling. Felt we were wanted in and out as fast as possible. Terrible customer service. Update since I can't respond directly to owner below: I went in so that they could see for themselves how badly my nails looked but did start the conversation with the fact that I could not stay since I had to travel. I personally don't feel any part of the conversation was inappropriate. Being assertive and transparent about my experience (which is a valid response to the situation) is very different than having an attitude. Respectfully, I don't feel like the manger I spoke with was being very kind. Review: I remembered this place driving in from Dallas (where I now live) and since I was having dinner at The Domain with family felt like it would be a nice and convenient place to stop. BIG MISTAKE. One of my nails chipped literally HOURS after I left. They look so bubbly and foggy. She didn't even touch my cuticles. The photos and video don't even do it justice with how bad they look. My 13 year old niece even pointed how awful they were at dinner. I went back and the manager tried to blame me for choosing to get French after having a single color. First, I've switched to French from single color many times and have never run into this issue. Secondly, if your techs don't feel like they can manage doing a quality job, why not redirect me? Seems like they don't care about the quality of their work but rather how many people they can get in and overcharge for a rushed poor quality result. Lastly, how about some accountability?!?! My total for a pedi and dip on my natural nails was $144 Anyway, they offered to fix the broken nail and she said verbatim "the nails don't even look that bad. That's just what happens".
