Had SNS done on Friday by Vivian, paid $48 plus tip. and not even an hour later my thumb nail chipped and broke. By Sunday 5 nails were broken, poor application of product. Went back to Vivian on Tuesday for repair and was admonished by her as to how she did everything correctly, she fixed the broken nails, all the while complaining and defensive. It was insulting and time consuming. When I got up to leave she told me to go to the register and I was charged another $33 to fix the poor job she did on Friday. She didn't even have the nerve to tell me she was going to charge me, she just disappeared to another room in the back. I will never go back or recommend Nail Expo to anyone. These ladies did an amazing job and paid attention to details! They were super friendly and easy to work with, I showed them a photo of what I wanted And they made it happen! My first visit to a nail salon since March 2020. You can imagine how excited I was... To be fair, everyone was very nice, masks are required and the salon is very clean. Now let's talk about my nails. I'm an old school acrylic girl and after 15 months of raggedy nails, I decided to go short so that I didn't have to fumble around getting used to having longer nails. Long story short, I'm not happy. The acrylic is thick and very unnatural looking. They are so thick there's no space between the underside of my nails and my fingers. So now I'm anxiously waiting for them to grow out a little so I can soak them off and try again somewhere else. My advice? Be specific about what you want and pay attention! Wish I had. read more

I scheduled a nail appointment a week in advance and got a call the day before to remind me of my appointment and showed up the next day to only be told it was canceled. This isn't the first time it has happened. The lady who did my nails was very aggressive and made my nail bleed, and she was also extremely rude. What a waste :( Just about 2 mo. ago I had been wanting to find a new nail place and reviews led me here. Instead I got the worst customer service. Unfortunately, I think just got the wrong person. The guy I assume others mentioned -was truly so rude.. initially cut my nails before asking. I didn't bother too much as they needed to be evened out .. but w sns nails you can keep as much real nail and he didn't even ask... Then he seemed to be doing a good shape etc but then was so rough filing/shaping and at the end JERKING my hand... I was just ready to be done and out. Honestly shouldn't have paid but I'd rather that guys karma just come around ‍ never be back. The nails were pretty color.. but soo mediocre on leveling , evenness of the tops of my nails... I've never left a bad review before, but I wish I would have known before coming here. I am so disappointed in this experience. I came because I saw all the beautiful photos in the reviews but I didn't get that. My fingers are cut, bleeding, and in pain. My first shape was literally concave, and when I asked them to fix it, the manager told me I should have specifically asked for non-concave nails. I asked for mid-length coffin nails. I ended up with first concave short nails; then nails that were shorter than they were when I arrived, yet I paid for the extensions/tips. Over $60 for bloody, burning nails that were in no way the shape that I wanted. They bubbled and chipped before I even left. The paint is so far up the nail, it looks like my nails are over a week grown out. I hate to down a local business, especially women owned, but 3 hours, $65, and lost blood later, and polish all over my fingers, I thought I should say something. read more

Me and my friend came here to get our nails done for the first time and I am blown away with the results.I got an ombré with pink and white and it turned out gorgeous. I also got it with a glitter gel topcoat and it made my nails pop. My friend got acrylics done and she is in love with them. Everyone was really nice at the salon.They had there manicure licenses on display and over all the salon was clean. I got my nails done by Mia. I would 10 out of 10 recommend Mia and Cindy they are amazing Nail technicians. I will be recommending this place too many of my friends who get their nails done. I found this place completely randomly. I was driving home and realized I needed a facial waxing. I think there are 2 nail shops in the same shopping center and I almost went to the other one, but I couldn't find parking. I turned a corner, and there was Nail Expo. I wasn't expecting anything in particular... a brow wax is a brow wax. I was greeted with a very friendly smile and welcome. The whole place was welcoming. My "waxer" was very sweet... friendly, but not overdone. She did a precise job, took care in what she was doing and checked in with me about it all. The price was right too. I will be back! Ann did a full set on me and trust me when I say that I know a good nail tech.. Ann is a great nail tech! She is highly efficient with a drill and I have drill phobia.. She is so gentle and I have super paper thin nails. I had a very pleasant conversation with her and she even helped me with my decision with my accent nail!! The hardest part is picking the color! She did a wonderful job shaping my ballerina shape nails you guys and she knows her stuff.. I wish the drill bits and files were a bit more sanitized or my own box.. The pedi I'm not sure I would get again. It was a bit pricey for what I got as I have gotten pedis in other higher end salons for the same or lower prices.. Still on the fence here because I really like to get my services done at the same location so that my colors match and for convenience. Hey I'm willing to give it another try I guess. Ann did NOT do my pedi and I really don't want to say her name as everyone has bad days and it honestly was not Terrible.. It just seemed overpriced for a Non Standard Salon.. The products used were not that special. I'm a nail product connoisseur and in the beauty industry... Hope this was helpful and for the times I can't do my nails I will definitely be coming here!! Went it while I was waiting for my car to get the sticker taken care of. Not the best customer service. They were very rude when I asked for their wifi password, and didn't give it to me. I went in just to have my sns removed and the man started clipping it away with toe nail clippers then took a fake nail tip out of the box put it between the sns and my nail and popped it off!!!!! You should have seen the multiple layers of my beautiful long nail that was removed!!! Not to mention a piece of the sns hit my face as he clipped with the toe nail clippers!!! I got up and left after one nail removed and went down the street to Beverly where they used acetone and a drummel to properly take it off!!!! The best nail shop I have been to since living in Austin. Mia is amazing and can do whatever you have in mind for your nails. You will never feel like she's rushing while you're in her chair. She takes her time and always make sure your nails are perfect. My nails always last 3 almost 4 weeks, before I need a fill in (Solar nails). My nails look awesome! I went to Nail Expo 2 weeks ago and got a great pedicure and shellac manicure from Jessica. She does a very thorough job, and does a really good massage. The shellac looked awesome, done perfectly, and super shiny (like glass). I will definitely be rescheduling with Jessica soon! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a smaller place, only 5 pedicure chairs, and a little older than some nail salons. But the service makes up for that! Great prices as well! Terrible. The worst nail salon I've ever been to. I went to relax...get a pedicure. While scrubbing my feet, I felt pain and the guy laughed it off. He said, "It tickles?" No, it hurt. Tried this salon for the first time today. Online is said $23, we called & they said acrylic nails were $27 for medium & then they added on $4 to shape & $15 for gel. I understand adding on for the gel, but not to shape. Then they shaped it crooked (middle nail). I think we will try a new place next time. read more

I've mostly has good experiences with nail expo but the last two nail technicians just did NOT listen to what I wanted. I told her I wanted coffin shape at the shortest length because they charge extra to have it at a medium length and she told me it has to be medium. Other technicians have done it exactly how I asked & knew the minimum length to create a coffin shape. She just seemed annoyed I even asked. And I left feeling that they were way to long. I also wanted a design and she put ONE stone when I have seen them do extravagant designs. ( which I payed for btw) Idk if they hired new people or what but it just sucks when you're paying $55 ! Will have to explore other salons. read more
