He was very careful to avoid the area. A fresh gel polish was applied, stone red number 477. It's my favorite color now. The Daisy brand comes in a regular polish and gel. Most times I use regular on my toes and gel on my hands as I do a lot of work with my hands and the gel holds up longer. Always happy with the service here. A few months ago I went in to get the dip, it's what I prefer, then the nail tech told me acrylic was better. She said it would be cheaper to get it filled every time versus a whole new set with the dip. I was paying around 60-70 with the dip for reference. She also said it would be healthier for my nails, so I reluctantly gave in. I wasn't super happy with the outcome but I didn't feel like addressing it. So a few weeks later I took my teenager to get her nails done and I got a fill. My teen got designs, a new set and gel polish so her nails were understandably 75.00, I got a fill with a solid color, nothing extra, and it was 70.00. I asked why it was so expensive at the register and they said maybe it was because they trimmed my nails, but they did not so I let him know. They took 5.00 off. So I still paid 70.00 for a fill. I could have just gotten the nails I originally wanted. So after that, I had decided I was just no longer going to be getting my nails done. It's not worth it. They have outpriced their customers. But for my birthday I got a gift card so I decided to use it to get my nails taken off, and that solidified my decision to stop going completely. So when I'm getting a new set they take the time to gently soak off your nails, but if you're just having them removed they drill your nails down aggressively. I told the girl several times it was painful, that did not seem to stop her. I sat there anxious, sick to my stomach because it was so uncomfortable. I spoke up several times, which is unlike me in situations like this. So after I give my nails a break I'll find a new nail place, because as much as I loved this place, it's no longer consistent. You never know what you're going to get and the prices are insane. So if I'm going to pay 70-80 for basic nails I'd rather have EXACLY what I want.

My pedicure that normally takes at least 30 minutes was done in 20 and you can tell because the polish and cuticles are messy and the nails are crooked. Disappointing because it's so close to my house and I used to feel like I got good service here. I did mention that I think the polish job was done a little too quick and that it was bumpy and all that was done was an extra coat on top so most likely it's going to take my nails a whole day to dry, which I don't have. When I wake up in the morning, they are probably going to be even more messy. I will say, everyone here is very nice, but the lack of attention to schedule I think is causing the problems. I visited H & H Nail Salon on February 28th as a walk-in and have been sitting on this review for a…read morelittle while to make sure I reflected fairly on the experience and whether there was anything I may have misunderstood. After giving it some thought, I do believe I clearly communicated what I wanted, and I ultimately feel that I may have been overcharged. To start with the positives, I called ahead to see if they had availability for a walk-in. They told me it would be about 30 minutes, but I was welcome to come early and sit in one of the massage chairs while I waited. I appreciated that and did exactly that. It was relaxing to sit in the chair while they finished with other clients. Once they were ready, my pedicure began. I originally selected a lower-tier service, but the technician explained the Detox Pedicure very well and suggested upgrading. I agreed, and overall the pedicure experience itself was pleasant. While the pedicure was being done, another technician started on my hands with the manicure, but when another walk-in client arrived, that technician left to start a pedicure for the new client. The technician finishing my pedicure then move to her station and continued with my manicure and applied the clear dip. It was a seamless transition and excellent team work. I will say that I did like the quality of her work on my manicure and the dip. However, I did notice something with my pedicure. I had asked for clear polish on my toenails, and while it was drying it looked like some white dust had settled on the polish. I was trying to figure out how to mention it, but when the technician later applied oil to my toenails, the white appearance seemed to disappear and the nails looked glossy, so I assumed it had just needed to be brushed off. When I took a shower later that day my nails looked like I originally saw with a white dusty and matte look to it with some spot shiny. When I went to the register, I was surprised that the total was $130 before tip. I had calculated the $55 Detox Pedicure plus the $45 dip manicure, which I thought would be around $100. I assumed I may have miscalculated and didn't question it at the time, so I paid and left a 20% tip ($26) for a total of $156. When I got to my car and reviewed the receipt, I noticed there was an additional $10 charge listed for a "Cuticle Trim", along with a $20 "Additional Charge". $30 extra on to the bill. At most salons I've been to, the price of a dip manicure already includes the basic manicure prep such as cuticle trimming and nail shaping before the dip is applied. I get my nails done fairly regularly, and this is the first time I've ever been charged a separate and unclear $10 cuticle trim and $20 additional charge fee on top of the dip manicure price. The menu did not clearly indicate this additional charge, and it was never communicated to me beforehand. While I did enjoy the service quality of the manicure and the overall pedicure experience, I was not happy with the final finish of my toenails and was especially disappointed by the lack of transparency in pricing. This experience left me feeling unsettled. Clear communication about pricing, especially additional fees, is important so clients can make informed decisions before services are performed. Unfortunately, I don't feel that happened here. For that I don't plan on returning.

Went back to Vivian on Tuesday for repair and was admonished by her as to how she did everything correctly, she fixed the broken nails, all the while complaining and defensive. It was insulting and time consuming. When I got up to leave she told me to go to the register and I was charged another $33 to fix the poor job she did on Friday. She didn't even have the nerve to tell me she was going to charge me, she just disappeared to another room in the back. I will never go back or recommend Nail Expo to anyone. I hope the $33 dollars was worth it Vivian.

Front desk young girl was so unpleasant, that it felt like I got to a birthday party uninvited. Was pointed somewhere in the corner to take a chair. For her statement "choose your color" I responded, I don't want nail polish, it's just plain today. She looked at me like I was an alien then, in her language, loudly informed all the other workers there, so everyone is staring at me as I am walking to pointed chair. Then they left me there for almost 40 minutes sitting, while other workers were finishing up other clients. My feet got cold sitting in the bucket of water. One of the employees came, was doing pedicures as usual, barely snipping anything, and put a load of cream so her imperfections would not be visible. Then she moved to my fingernails, was just rubbing my hands, snipping here and there so fast that she dropped her tools on the floor. The front desk girl passed a few times and looked told her to hurry up. One more woman was sitting in her chair waiting for her services, she was told by the front desk girl to wait max 5 mins and the technician will be right with her. 5 minutes???? She started 5 mins ago! After she completed a horrible manicure in about 8 minutes on both hands, I went to the front desk to pay. I showed my nails to the front desk girl and said: "Does this look like I just had a manicure done? Do your employees here always rush to finish sloppy so they can move on to the next client?" She imminently forgot the she spoke perfect English, looked and me and said: "Oh I no know, I am not good at manicure, I can't tell". Then she offered to call a manager, I didn't want to make a scene there, understanding that they will all now forget how to speak English and that they are there to only work on nails. I told her no need, but I will not consider coming back here anymore. She says I am sorry, I don't know. I looked at her and asked if she still going to charge me for a manicure that wasn't a manicure, that I had walked in with better fingernails than I am walking out with, but of course her response was..... "I am sorry, I no know, I don't understand manicure!" $90 later she looked at the receipt to check if I left a tip or not!
