My mom was recently going…read morethrough high dose radiation and had a large, uncomfortable catheter sitting just above her pectoral muscle. She had not been able to wash her hair in 5 days. We tried to wash her hair at home, but every position we tried struck her with severe pain. We decided to take a shot at West Salon By Leah to see if they could fit her in for a wash. Not only were they happy to fit her in their busy schedule, but they did it free of charge. I can't thank these ladies enough for putting a smile on my mom's face. It's the little things in life that makes others feel good on the inside & out, especially in a time of pain. On another note, I saw a friend of mine walking out and her hair looked fabulous! I ended up with a significantly shorter cut that was so thinned out I feel like I have so much disconnection in my hair. The back is so short in parts that I can hardly grab it with my fingers, let alone straighten it. I also have naturally curly hair so I can only imagine the nightmare of how I'm going to deal with those pieces once wet and styling until they're long enough to deal with. I also want to preface, my hair was well past my shoulders, very health and had no face framing or short layers when I walked in so it should have been pretty straightforward. I was shocked when I left the salon yesterday and even more shocked at the lack of accountability in Leah's response in the attached text. I feel like I spent almost $100 to get my hair butchered while also ending up as an emotional dumping ground throughout the entire appointment.

It's a small, simple place without a lot of bells and whistles, but quite honestly I don't need all the giant chandeliers, marble floors, and fancy drinks. A great job on my nails and kind customer service are what matter most to me. I'll definitely come back here next time I need nails done or want to treat my mom or a friend. Please note: they do not accept tips on your card and did not offer eyebrow waxing on the morning we were there. I thought I saw a waxing room on my way to wash my hands, so maybe it's just a staffing situation.
