I am writing to share a very serious concern regarding my recent experience at your salon. After my daughter's appointment, she developed a severe infection and was later diagnosed with MRSA. This has been incredibly stressful and frightening for our family, especially with a child. While I understand infections can have different sources, the timing following her visit has raised significant concerns for us regarding sanitation and cleaning protocols within the salon. I wanted to make sure you are aware of this situation and ask what sterilization and sanitation procedures are followed for tools, foot baths, seating areas, and other shared equipment between clients. Customer safety should always be the highest priority, and I hope this concern is taken seriously so no other family experiences something similar. I read some of the other reviews and the one thing is Nikii has always done an amazing job on my nails and one thing is she is never rude at all. Like today I was there with my 4 month old son and he started to fuss and she had one of the ladies that works there come take care of him for me as I was getting my nails done. When we arrived, I sensed lots of hesitation, but she and her staff, with a little guidance from me and my friend, they did ultimately accommodate and did a beautiful job making my friend feel pampered and cared for, loving her glittery nails. It looked nothing like it. She tried convincing me it did and from her nasty attitude I was just ready to leave anxiously. Walked in today at 12:55ish & asked for a pedi. I was told they did not have time? Yet, they did not provide a time when they were available. I did not get a name however, I have never been turned away for a service ever. Clearly they only service whom the prefer? I sure hope the do better next time. This place is awful. Where do I get to begin? We had a 2:30 appointment on a Tuesday afternoon. We called in advance. We arrive 15 minutes early and we get seated for the pedicures+manicures appointment. There are three staff members on hand. The two men start working on our feet. Let me just start with...I am fully Vietnamese. Born in America but both of my parents are Vietnamese. My mom was a manicurist for the majority of her working life. She's retired now...so I can't just ask her to do it anymore. I know what to expect from these places. I know how things go. You can't pull a fast one on me. I also understand every word they're saying. I loathe going to these places because of this. So...they start working on our feet. The guy on my friend's pedicure keeps looking at me. Makes some remarks. How different I look, pretty, what do I do for a living...etc. He keeps talking until I respond in Vietnamese and answer one of his questions. Awkward. They still talk. The water is ridiculously hot. The guy on my feet cuts my toe from filing it with his nail file. It hurts. A lot. He doesn't apologize or even acknowledge it. He just pours antiseptic on it. It burns. In order to get the Shellac on my toes off, they file the polish and they place the acetone on. EVERY OTHER PLACE I have ever been to just soaks the cotton, puts it on the nail, and foil wraps it, and wait. I have NO idea why they do this. It takes forever. It's a waste of time. So they go on working on our feet. It's been about an hour. In this time, another patron comes in, they start calling in other employees, more clients come in. One girl waits for what must be 30 minutes before someone can do her manicure. And that means...she sits there with her hands in the water for 30 minutes waiting. One employee, a woman, comes in and starts taking over for my friends foot. The guy on me is still going..ever slowly. This place gets busier. People are waiting. The woman on my friend's foot gets very angry and upset with a man that comes in (husband? Father? Brother) because he hasn't picked up her kid from school and it is 4. She literally is cussing him out under her breath while doing my friends toes. Awkward. She is livid. I decide that because it's taking so long, I will forgo my manicure. It's been an hour and 15 by this point. The guy, not understanding English, thinks that my refusal of a manicure just means I want one. So he proceeds to try to take off the nail polish I have on my hand after I repeatedly say no. Joy. They don't speak English. So when I forgo my manicure, I get finished and go sit in the waiting area. One of the original three, the woman there proceeds to start asking in Vietnamese..."why is this girl not getting a manicure? What happened? Why she not want one?" So unprofessional. My mom would never treat a customer this way. I don't want one because you are slammed, your business is run poorly because you are not properly staffed. Your staff is unprofessional. I got cut on my toe. I would like to not get cut again. All in all, my friend ALSO had to forgo her manicure. We had to leave for a concert in San Antonio starting at 7 and we didn't leave this place until 4. From 2:15. It took THAT long for them to do 2 pedicures. And to take off my friends polish. Also, the shellac job on my toes was smudged. Because as he was putting on the UV lamp, he bumped the big toe. He didn't fix it. Just put a coat of clear polish on. Look people, there's way better places to go. I personally go to Superstar Nails on Anderson Lane and they are bang on awesome EVERY...TIME. Ask for Andy, he's the best. And they get you out a reasonable hour. I am also not into wine, mimosas, or any of that crap that you get at a salon. Do my nails, do a good job, and get me out. Be professional. If that's what you're about, do NOT come here. read more

Came here last week for a full set with gel. I was overall pleased, until today a nail randomly popped off out of nowhere. This is not a big issue, happens all the time but was slightly annoying considering it's only been 5 days. Showed up and told the lady up front that I needed the one nail replaced, she said ok and pointed me towards the waiting area. I waited for 80 minutes, they took multiple customers who came in after me, who did not have appointments. Love coming here. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They treat you like family always joking and having a good time.
