Experience was certainly rushed as soon as a few walk ins came in. The nail tech that was working on my nails, groaned when the walk ins came on. Regardless, he rushed through the job. They are not polite at all, I asked for the name of the color I chose because it looked different from the sample. He grabbed the jar and just slammed it next to me. Disappointed in how quickly and inefficiently my nails were completed. Will not be returning as I noticed that items were not cleaned in between guests either. Nails were bumpy. read more

They always treat you like you were their first customer and the only one that matters!!! They took their time and always treat me well!!! I am glad to have found them. Besides one tech I've never been disappointed here. They have lots of variety also. The owner is really nice and I love when he does my nails they are the perfect thickness (I get dip nails). They usually can make an appointment when I want to go and I've gone for walk-in on spur of the moment trips and was able to get in after short wait. The one tech I'm not going to see again has longer hair and really long lashes, I think she may be a back up (takes forever getting nails off, makes them too thin and uneven, two times with her my appt was an hour and a half also). Otherwise love it here and would recommend! read more

$200+ for nails total in the last two weeks, n they break constantly n lift. Nothing even crazy as far as design wise or style. First time was just a fill and design and I was charged over $165 for them. 6 days later they were lifting so bad they were snagging in my hair n I had to super glue them down. I went back in to have them be fixed n was charged another $46 for this. Here we are 6 days later n they are snapping off completely in the middle and lifting again on the sides, snagging in my hair n require super glue. Utterly anything but expert. I will not be returning again. read more

Came here for a quick manicure. Got dip on natural nail. I had amazing & quick service once I got there I was assisted immediately. I called a few hours early to make an appointment / make sure they were available before hand. Has a fresh & clean feel to it. I like the layout a lot and the staff were all super nice. I don't live in this area but if I find myself in this area again I will be back :) read more

I was a walk-in customer, the sign outside said walk-in welcome. It was about 10am when I entered, and there was only one other customer at the time. I got a pedicure and manicure. I was told that I couldn't get tips done because I'd have to call ahead of time. So I left disappointed. I felt like they kind of left my nails messed up, and I was hoping to get my nails looking longer with the tips added on, but I felt like it just looked very basic. This review is long overdue but felt it was necessary since I drive by it. I wanted to love this place because I could literally walk here from home but I'll stick with my OG nail place. It's nice, clean and friendly but holy shit, their prices are insanely expensive and you don't get what you pay for. I paid $62 for a basic pedicure for myself and a mani/pedi for my 7 year old. I also tipped $20 because it's during Covid times and I felt that we all gotta support small businesses. My daughters nails were perfect. They even redid it after they smudged it trying to put her slipper back on but she's 7 and her whole experience cost me $30 and took them a max of 10 minutes. They rushed through my pedicure. What they advertise as 40 minutes or whatever took them maybe 20 minutes. We were gone and home within 30 minutes and even my husband was like "Wow that was quick?!" My big toenails were also cut uneven! The only thing that really bothered me was when the guy doing my feet commented that I had a lot of callus and he kinda laughed at it. I know he didn't mean any harm by it but seriously?! I literally JUST had a baby and didn't have time to get my feet done in awhile. So thanks for that! All in all, as clean and convenient as this place is.. I'll pass. Wish I could take back my tip too. If I wanted a super fast pedicure, I would have just done it myself. read more

I love this salon- clean, efficient, and friendly staff. Ben always does an excellent job; the nail technicians that work for him are also very talented. They make sure to avoid a scar I have on my leg from a prior accident, and always assist me to and from the chairs when I don't have my cane. I can't say enough about the staff, I will remain a loyal customer here and advise anyone also looking for a new salon to call this location home! read more

I have been coming to Expert Nail Salon since it very first opened years ago. I fell in love with this place because of the quality of service I got in Cedar Park, comparable to that of the domain or every other top line salon. The prices are not bad at all for the result of nails or treatments when you walk out the door. I can always count on the staff here to take care of me when it comes to nails and hands on services, but also excellent customer service. It is easy to call and schedule an appointment, also they are wonderful with helping reschedule if need be. IVY is the best! I have been seeing Ivy for over 3 years. She takes her time, and is very thorough with her work. The amount of compliments I receive about my nails (everyday) is all because of her. I get solar nails but even with gel pedicures, my nails are perfect every time. The products used keep my solar nails in shape for 2-3 weeks with out peeling or cracking. Gel on my toes lasts a month if not longer, and the pedicures are not only long, but you get to choose scents and scrubs! Also despite some other reviews on here, the products they use for waxing ARE gentle. I am only red for maybe 5-10 minutes. Hundreds of solar powder colors, hundreds of gel colors and same with regular nail polish, also I've seen them with the SNS dip. Thank you IVY! If Ivy is not available, Sam is the one to ask for. Went in for a dip....I never had a salon polish/dip my nails to the skin instead of cuticles until I went here. Based on the mediocre reviews I still insisted on giving this place a try. Well I felt the tech was rushed and when I went in to wash my hands they had my purse already at the counter to pay... when I showed the woman who was taking my card to pay, I said I wasn't happy and that the edge of the nails were sharp even at the cuticle. I knew the grow out would break/ catch on clothes etc.... well they never adjusted the price for their poor work, or sit me again to fix the nails, instead told me to come back....gave me a card and receipt... 43 dolllars I had paid.... and honestly the work was poor... The same evening, I decided to go to my trusted nail salon down the road called "US nails and spa" (off Parmer and 1431) to fix their horrible work. I've been there a few other times since moving to cedar park and always loved the results... anyways Tee, the nail tech, told me it was horrible and they shouldn't have cured it with gel... she used her dremel and removed the gel and sanded down to the cuticle. It looks 100% better and they did it for free. Will never be back to this place. Not because the the tech, but how the owner wanted to take my $, charge me for FULL price, & push me out the door...despite seeing that the job was not up to par... Thanks for nothing. read more

I went and got s&s dip and they were really pretty but SO thin! like 3 days after i got them done i barely tapped them on my steering wheel and it broke and took my real nail with it. i went to see if they would fix it but since it was bleeding they won't and they just put glue IN THE CRACK. i asked for a refund and they told me since i'm the one who broke it they won't refund. if they would've done the nail correctly it wouldn't have broken. i was very frustrated and will not be back. read more

I returned to this solan after about a year of going "natural" with my hands and feet. I all of a sudden had the craving for pink nails. Also, with Valentine's Day right around the corner I wanted something special. I called and made an appointment for 5:30 on a Saturday. I asked to make sure this wasn't to late and was assured that it wasn't. So after some overtime at work I treated myself to a gel manicure. Emily was so patient and knew just what I was asking for. Was just there Sunday to get a mani and pedi with gel and less than three day later polish chipping off and peeling. Super nice people but under staff. Had an appointment and they only had four peoples working with 7 customers. The two ladies that worked in my moved one place to another with no sanitation. read more

Recently moved here from Las Vegas Nevada I'm used to spending $80-$90 on my nails, i'm extremely picky on my nails and have had the same nail tech for three years. I was able to get my husband A pedicure and myself a full set of acrylic nails with gel polish on top all for under $100. I was very impressed and very happy with my nails. I hate nail salons, which is why I visit every six weeks to get a gel fill. I should go every two weeks but my poor nails can't take too much drill abuse. This is my first visit and I wasn't pleasantly surprised. The employees are professional and they seem to do all they can to please their customers. My technician was thorough. Even though the salon was busy, she didn't rush and do a sloppy job like some technicians have done to me at other salons. I'm pleased and will be back--in six weeks. read more

Like this place In general if I'm in the area. They have lots of colors to chose from in gel and regular polish. My fabulous technician Holly has moved to Tammy's Nails in Leander so I will follow here there. But again, if your in the Costco area they are a good choice. read more

Got my nails done today. Pedicure was amazing but owner was a real jerk. He did my nails horribly and when I told him I didn't like them he just kept arguing and arguing with me about it and asking other customers if they liked them (as if their opinion really mattered, considering I'M the one paying for it and they're MY nails). Ended up paying full price anyway. Didn't offer any kind of discount or a coupon for next time or anything. Will literally never go back read more

It's so important in a business to treat clients with kindness and respect. The First Person that we clients see when we walk into your establishment is the person that sets the tone for Expert Nail Salon. That person should NEVER be rude, unkind, and shouldn't speak with a raised voice to any of the Customers that pay good money to have services done. I have been supportive of Expert Nails and sent Friends, Family & Neighbors to you. My close Friend, who had her 2nd visit with Expert Nails called me very disturbed about the actions that took place this evening. It bothered her so much until She has decided NOT to return. When You treat people unkind.. especially someone that drove 40 minutes to get to you to get ONE nail fixed after paying the day before for services, Just FIX the one nail and move on.. Why argue someone down who isn't arguing back? Its one nail. My Friend said that once the Young Lady realized that She wasn't going to be helped, She thanked the Man at the front and walked out. My Friend walked out behind her after paying and said the the young Lady was sitting in her car very upset with the way She was treated. I choose not to go to Expert Nail Salon anymore.. I Hate that this happened. I'll miss Sam, Ivy, Holly and all of the other technicians there. I choose not to support an establishment that treats a person unkind. My nails look good and toes are good. The nail lady named Ivy was rough while doing my dip and was not very friendly... didn't say a word the whole time. The man named Michael did my mom's nails and toes and my toes as well. He was amazing!! So sweet and friendly and did a great job! I'm giving them a 3 star review because the customer service was just not great at all. The owner did not seem friendly either, the place just did not have a welcoming vibe. We tried to use a coupon that had expired 2 days before and they wouldn't honor it for $5 off a purchase of over $120... kind of ridiculous. If you go here get Michael. Update: 5 days later and one of my dip nails just popped off while I was putting my hair up... don't waste $50 on dip nails here read more

This is my first time here, and I had a great experience. Staff is so friendly!! I had the best conversation with my manicurist. The tools didn't make me flinch one bit. Sometimes at nail salons I haven't been to, I get nervous for that one tool, you know, the sanding driller one. Yikes. But here, I was very relaxed. The salon is clean, as well as the tools. They are very professional and know how to do nails. I also really like the selection of colors. I want to come back to try more of the nude colors. Luckily there was no wait when I came in and asked for acrylics. The only con is that I think $40 is quite steep. read more

We just moved here and I was excited to try this place based on the reviews. I got gel nails and a classic pedicure which was just ok. She didn't even massage my feet for the $35 pedicure and then I asked about it at the owner at the end while I was paying and he could have cared less. Sadly I won't be going back here, there are better places in the area that treat the customers better. I received a call and response from the nail salon a week later. The only thing they are concerned with is if they timed the pedicure which I don't believe they did. It was never I'm so sorry you didn't have a great experience, what can we do to make the situation right, we would love to have you come back. Instead it's we refuse the right to serve anyone?? What business with good customer service says that? I would love to know where these great reviews are coming from. I have been coming here for a few months now and they always do a wonderful job. The manager is very friendly and the ladies who work here are nice as well and always showing me new colors and offering me a cold drink when I sit down. Today I came in for my normal gel manicure and it included a mini shoulder massage. I don't know if that was simply the choice of the manicurist or if it's a new addition to the normal manicure, but I enjoyed it. I am going to a little girl baby shower this weekend and wanted hot pink nails for fun. I see a lot of ladies these days who do the one different color nail on each hand and I thought a simple sparkly silver would look good with the pink. The manicurist suggested a different sparkle shade than the one I picked and I'm glad she did because they turned out great! Even the lady sitting next to me complimented them and asked if the lady doing her nails could do the same thing. All for a total of $35 before tip. I can't find one negative thing to say about this place. I just love coming here! read more

This nail salon is in a great location meaning it gets a lot of foot traffic. Parking is next to impossible because it's location is in a strip mall with some pretty busy eating spots. I want to like this nail salon because it's close to my house but no matter how many times I go in there they are always too busy to take you. They could have every chair filled and no one waiting and they'll tell you sorry they're too booked. They could have 5 open chairs and still no one waiting and they ask you to come back later. Keeping in mind you just spent the better part of 10 minutes trying to find a parking spot just to have to hike back to your car after being told they're too busy. I will say the 2 times I got in to actually get my nails done I got one good service job with a decent nail job. The 2nd time the nail lady cut my nails way too short, cut my finger with the cuticle trimmers and when I said ouch she gave me the ugliest look. I apologize for saying ouch while you cut me and made my finger bleed. The only other negative is how quick they have you in and out. I paid for the upgrade pedicure and it was over in 20 minutes and I had to ask them to fix one tone nail which had a glob of paint in the corner. I won't be going back which is a shame because it's so close to my house. read more

On 12/4 I had a gel manicure and gel pedicure with a referred technician - One week later I developed severe itching between my toes, skin maceration, followed by painful skin fissures ("paper-cut" like tears) between nearly all of my toes, burning, and major sensitivity. My Primary Care Physician has confirmed tinea pedis - caused by dermatophyte fungi (not properly cleaning, sanitizing pedicure tubs, or sterilizing tools). I am now treating what appears to be a fungal skin infection that developed shortly after the service. While I can't say with certainty how or where the infection was acquired, the timing directly followed my pedicure (timeline aligns with the exposure & development of a fungal infection). Untreated or possible progression of this development could lead to Secondary Bacterial Skin Infection, Cellulitis, Lymphangitis, or Sepsis - becoming very serious. I did not notice any visible sanitation concerns during my visit, but given my outcome, I strongly encourage future clients to: * Ask about foot bath disinfection procedures * Ensure tools are properly sterilized * Avoid services if you have any cuts, shaving, or broken skin I hope this review helps others take precautions. I recommend monitoring your feet closely after pedicure services and seeking care promptly if symptoms appear.

Recently, I was informed by Stella that Jayden no longer wants to service me because I allegedly made him "uncomfortable." This was surprising and disappointing, especially since no one has ever communicated to me that I was rude, disrespectful, or inappropriate in any way. I have simply explained how I like my nails done. If a client calmly expressing preferences makes a technician uncomfortable, that raises concerns about professionalism and customer service. I even asked for clarification on what specifically I did to cause discomfort and have yet to receive a clear answer. As an African American woman, walking into spaces and feeling as though you are being judged or labeled negatively for simply advocating for yourself is disheartening. I work hard for my money and believe it should be spent in businesses where clients feel respected and valued. At this point, I am not upset -- I simply want transparency and accountability. If there is a legitimate reason for the decision, I am open to hearing it. But vague accusations without explanation do not reflect well on a business. I hope management takes this as an opportunity to improve communication and ensure all clients are treated with fairness and respect.
