Love this salon. Everyone is amazing there. Lots of personality! A friend and I received mani/pedi services. I also got the IBX treatment. There was leftover crusty product under my nails (because of the IBX treatment), I ended up cleaning that out from under my nails throughout the week following, which resulted in my polish lifting after a week. With my job, to be fair that is pretty normal. I am hard on my hands. My toes just have polish, they still look awesome. Really great salon. I will be back. But if I get the IBX treatment again, I will ask if the product under nail tips is normal. Thank you for an awesome experience Lacquer! Cleanliness and leaving the salon with nice polish no bleeding cuticles are key for me!! On a side note, my nails look so healthy even after polish has come off. Love it! read more

Horrible customer service; Don't go here. I am visiting Austin from Washington D.C. I arrived to my appointment to learn there are two locations. The receptionist said she would see if she would accommodate me downtown, but all she did was call the other location to discuss charging me. (Why would I pay for a No Show appointment if 1] I did show and 2] at no point did they confirm the location of my appointment or take my email to send a confirmation.) The blonde receptionist preceded to be nasty nice to me, so I left. I think if perhaps I wasn't a person of color they would have been friendlier and more accommodating. read more

I've been twice now, and was pleased both times. Both deluxe pedis were awesome and the shellac mani with nail art by Oriel is amazing. I have had no problems with cuticles/sloppy polish. I'll continue to be a loyal customer. read more

I was part of a group that hosted a private event at this nail salon recently. They were great to work with, very accommodating and made our event smooth and easy. Their technicians are friendly and do good work. They allowed us to bring in F&B, helped us set up and break down. They also allowed us to bring in other services - make-up, curling bar and photo booth. They have a good number of stations for nails and pedicures. read more

Loved the service, but less than 2 days after my appointment, 4 of my toe nail polishes chipped off. Not worth the price paid read more

Lacquer is a wonderfully elegant and cool environment that makes the perfunctory need of manis and pedis feel glamorous again! Service was great, color selection wide and the chairs and decor indulgent. Bring your girlfriends, have some Mimosas and enjoy! read more

I love this place. By the time my appointment was through, I was wishing there were one of these in Dallas! I love the simplicity of the services offered and the atmosphere is SO wonderful - not to mention those pedicure chairs are MUCH better than the massaging chairs you normally encounter. My techs (Roxanne and Kim) were INCREDIBLY friendly and easy to talk to, attentive, and offering me bits of advice to help me keep my nails healthy. I would go here again. Pricing is average, but the experience leaves you feeling like you were given star treatment. A favorite part of my weekend in Austin! read more

I started going to Lacquer on a recommendation from a friend, and I'm so glad I did! I was told by another salon that my nails were too damaged to have a gel manicure. But not so! Lacquer offers a treatment called IBX that strengthens the nail and makes it paintable for months to come. So my nails are a pretty pink, as usual. Lacquer has a very involved owner and all the employees are cordial and professional. I was happy to see a former nail tech of mine, Karen, there, and today had the calming presence of Ashley and her expert shellac manicure. The salon is very sleek and the music is cool and not overly hyper. I always leave feeling pretty and refreshed. Parking is free and easy in the garage around the corner, and then just a short elevator ride down to the street level. read more

Super happy with my mani and pedi. A great selection of regular polish colors and gel colors. I love that the chairs for the pedi are actual sofa chairs and not weird massage ones. This place is super cute and I'm kinda bummed I live so far away. read more

I have to update my review, they have a great costumer service! Carla contact me shortly after I posted my review and I came back today to fix my nails with no cost . I'm a nail hacker. Meaning, I am that bad habit girl who tends to keep a file in her bag and clippers at the ready in the bathroom, and tend to cut and file any nail I can too short and badly. Mainly, it's because I'm terrible at sitting still long enough to make it through an actual service, so when I find someone I trust to deal with my twitchy and bad habits honestly I stick with them. I recently visited lacquer for the first time to follow my holy grail tech Vivianne there and was super impressed. The online was super easy to work with, check in and start time was right on the nose, and the whole vibe was super relaxing. Plus with some validated parking as a nearby option, there's really no reason to not give it a try! The big comfy chairs for pedis were relaxing enough for me not to feel too antsy for while Vivianne worked her magic (did I mention my bad hacking habits? Sorry girl!) she's always been a rockstar for whatever I need, and her nail art is pretty awesome. Mostly though, I followed her because she's always been patient with me, and will give you real honest advice if you ask/need help with your nails. The color choices are pretty solid as well, just make sure to keep tabs on what lines are upgraded fees for. Pricing can get a bit high past their classic services, but for the chill vibe of your surroundings while still being downtown it's really not that bad. I'd do splurge trip in for their special footlogic pedicure besides my maintenance visits. read more

I wish there were more places downtown for nails. Unfortunately, this place is all we could find close to the hotel. We went as a group for a bachelorette party and I had a bottle of wine with me. We ended up not opening it and I left it there on accident. I didn't realize I left it until after closing so I went back the next day when they opened and it was gone. The front desk guy blamed it on the cleaning crew but offered nothing for his cleaning crew taking something that didn't belong to them. My pedicure also started chipping within 5 days. I feel like for the price you pay for their services they should at least last a full week. I live in Austin and I definitely won't be going back here or recommending this business to anyone. read more

Ok so I'm not a person to leave any review, good or bad, but I had a crummy experience and I'm not thrilled about it. I had booked myself and my daughter an appointment at 10:30 on Saturday am knowing what we had on our schedule that day and thinking that was a feasible time. I got a text after I booked asking me to move my appointment to 10 and I said ok and cancelled my daughters appointment as our plans had changed. I received text confirmation of the appt change and cancellation as well as an email confirmation of the cancellation. On Saturday I arrived a bit late for my appointment as that extra half hour was hard to shave off of our morning. Upon arriving they let me know I wouldn't have time for my whole service which is fine and totally understandable. They were then waiting expectantly for my daughter. When I told them I had cancelled her appointment they gave me a hard time and were visibly annoyed. I was taken to sit down and I tried to show the girl doing my manicure the text I received and she wouldn't even acknowledge that I was showing it to her. Aside from how rude everyone was when I first arrived (it fell very uncomfortable, and I used to be a stylist so I understand things happen) the girls were nice during the service. I got a gel manicure on a Saturday. By Monday, the nail polish on one finger chipped off half way. On Tuesday, the nail polish on another finger chipped off. As of today, Wednesday morning, another nail has peel off and another is chipped. Keep in mind I work in an office and keep great maintenance of my nails with nail oil and moisturizing. I have never had this happen with gel before and it's a super bummer, especially on top of feeling uncomfortable in the salon. This was my favorite place to go downtown so that stinks. I had great other experiences there, so I take this as you will. read more

Update: the sweet ladies at lacquer allowed me to come back in after my mani chipped within 24 hours. This time i asked for gel to be sure it wouldn't happen again. I had a great experience and they were so kind. I will say, though I FULLY expected to pay the difference between gel and regular polish, I didn't expect it to be $20. So with tip, I was out another $30 to get them redone. I think lacquer is a gorgeous space with the friendliest staff, but the prices just don't match the quality. read more

So first off, my fault for coming here without doing my research. I had no clue that I was booking a pedi at a place that was just going to wrap my feet in hot towels and do a bland job of lightly scrubbing my feet and then slapping some polish on my still-crusty-after-being-worked-on toes. After finding this out (which hilariously enough, happened after I had been seated and realized there wasn't a foot bath in sight) I swallowed my surprise and sucked it up, this is better for the planet right? Cool, I'm over it. What REALLY bothered me was how blasé the nail tech was. She did my nails and then put some polish on, seemed in a hurry to dip out and then finally did. I was sitting in my chair for probably forty minutes, falling asleep a bit and then finally deciding to ask someone if my toes were done drying yet (note I said "someone" my tech disappeared out of the front door and didn't come back while I was there), she checked and kind of shrugged. This is really poor AND EXPENSIVE service for what you're getting. Honestly, it's probably more of a money grab for a dumb customer with a wad of cash visiting the area and environmental friendliness as an afterthought. Next time, I'll just hire my baby cousin to put a wet towel on me and paint my nails, maybe she can even do a Paw Patrol pattern for free. read more

Got stuck in Austin at the end of a very long week so decided to check it out. Destynei is amazing!!! Had the best pedi. Enjoyed not soaking in water. The chairs are oh so comfy; you could almost fall asleep!! The products they use are awesome. Hydrating, but not greasy. First time doing gel on my toes. Love it! Ended with an awesome massage!! read more

As an out of towner visiting for the day, I was lucky enough to come across Lacquer. They have free wifi, the best massage and a great selection of nail colors. The best part, however, was the actual talent of the manicurists. I received a pedicure and a manicure and have not had job quite as good as these in a long time. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm visiting! read more

This was my first time here. I had high expectations because of the price. I got the classic gel manicure which was fine. My appointment was at 12:45 and I was in a chair by 1pm. The whole thing lasted about 25 minutes (says it should be 45 min). The nail tech was nice...Wasn't chatty which was fine. This place is nice because there's no nasty smells like you may get at smaller, cheaper salons. It was very clean. Overall, my manicure was fine but my experience was Ok. I wasn't offered water but I did see others get some. So not sure if they just missed me. :) read more

Absolutely the worst mail salon I have ever visited. Over priced and no one knows what they're doing. They ruined my nails. BEWARE!!

I've tried and tried and TRIED with this place. I'm going to start by staying my stylist, Marta is AMAZING and this review is in no reflection of her and her work!! After problem after problem I've decided to give this place yet ANOTHER shot. And shame on me. I booked a pedicure with my friend and didn't realize this salon had gone waterless!!!!! What's waterless you ask? They don't soak your feet in hot water, they don't soak your feet in warm water, they don't soak your feet in ANY water. They instead use a warm towel and "wipe down your feet".... boo!!!! What salon goes waterless! I totally get trying to save the environment, however! One salon taking away water isn't going to make a greater difference, and maybe make it an option? Ok rant over, no water, no service! read more

I would like to give this more stars however my experience with the front desk staff warrants for the 3. I walked in asking if they had any availability at any point in the day, the two women were quick to say no. I told them I saw a few slots open online and they told me they were just booked. Their whole tone was very rushed and irritated with me. I left and ran some errands, later looked back online and as I had seen before there was an opening so I booked it. I called to double check my online reservation was made. When I walked back in it was same ladies from hours prior and in the middle of me trying to explain that I did find an open slot and booked online they interrupted me saying they told me there wasn't and they didn't know what I was referring to. That maybe I booked it at their other location. I informed them no, I have the email confirmation and I just spoke with one of them to confirm as well over the phone. She argued with me further until Finally asking me my name. When she realized I was in fact in there she escorted me to where the polish colors were and the other women started to laugh. I felt very unwelcomed, I would've like to leave but then I would've been charged. The only thing that saves this experience was Leslie. I would like to give this review more stars because she was professional, very detailed and took her time. My gel manicure turned out perfect! And I really enjoyed our conversation. As I listened around it appeared all the nail techs were nice, just the front desk staff needs to work on their customer service and attitude. read more

I had no idea it was soak less salon. Do not go here if you are expecting a full pedicure service. I have now found another place. I paid 85 dollars for someone to wipe my foot with a wet rag and paint my toes. The worst pedicure I have ever recievee. Please let your customers know about your process before booking and paying. Not good customer service. My feet were dirty when I left. I wont be returning. read more

My girlfriends and I were in town for the weekend and stopped by before we did a hike at the lake. The lovely ladies at Lacquer took us in right away without an appointment. The place is super modern and elegant. I love their selection of polishes. The manicurist did an amazing job with my nails. She gave them a point which no one was ever able to do for me successfully! I love that the ladies here are up to date with current trends in nails as well. Everyone was very friendly and took the time to give my friends and I recommendations of where to go in Austin for the weekend. I will definitely come back here when I'm in town. read more

For a relatively new salon this place is pretty awesome. The decor is FANTASTIC! Great experience. Nail tech seamed a little unsure and was rushing but she may have been new. I went to Lacquer for a manicure and pedicure because it was highly recommended by a friend. Pros: Place is clean, staff are friendly, and nice products. Easy to book online. Cons: My manicure looked like a child painted it and I felt rushed through the process. The polish didn't last. My pedicure was "gel" so it lasted, but I left with "just ok" feet and toe nails. For the money I spent, I won't be back. I really wanted to love this place. read more

Overall, great experience. I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I definitely got great customer service as I walked through the door at the front desk. Amanda also did a fantastic job with my nails! Even though we didn't talk much, I still appreciated the time she took to paint them. I also loved the colors they had! I'm very pleased with the service. Only thing is the price - not sure if the work I received for my classic manicure is worth $25. Either way, I'll probably come back at some point when I'm back in Austin! read more

I really loved the cleanliness and ambiance of Lacquer, however the staff was quite underwhelming. I'm fairly easy to please and don't expect the 'best pedicure in the world', however I had one a few months ago and never went back. Re- review on my nails from yestetday. Dear Lacquer Downtown , I was most dissapointed.with my results..I did not get the nailexpert i asked for. The person I got was most unhappy to do my nails. She was very impersonable & obviously vexed at my requests to file nails vs using a chemical.to remove product. She insisted on clipping nails vs. Filing them down if too long. She did give me 4 coats of your gel polish which I appreciated . But in placing on nail art glitter, Instead of gently brushing it on, she quite forcibly matted it down with brush, making a mess of my nails. She obviously only had an hour to do my nails. The end result was nothing short of crap. Then, to be charged $70 was an outrage. I didn't mention my frustration when paying because I don't do well with public confrontations. I was in a uncomfortable situation...I was going to let this go, until, you texted me for a review. So, I decided to review.. The girl, Amy , who took all my requests via text , had all my requests ...I was then told she didn't know since she was new & only a receptionist . Well, you shouldn't have her answer your email... all in all, I'm shocked you keep customers. The responsibility goes on the shoulders of the management...I contacted you yesterday via text, phone and email and never heard back. Dissapontec Mrs . Thom Here you can see the clumping. Glitter is gently brushed on lightly and evenly . It is NOT pushed into nail in clumps. Pictures show clumping ... I took my nails to another salon and they were shocked. .. I'd like a refund . I doubt you'll consider it, but you should . Mrs Thom Hope the photo came through. Bonney's iPad read more
