Each time I've come in at the time I scheduled in advance it's been 30-45 minutes past that and then the services take about 1.5-2 hours :( there are 2 techs that are amazing at manicures and the rest just unfortunately are not. Above all it's the timing / scheduling issue that is making me have to move on. Alex was so amazing at scheduling over the phone and organizing their schedule. New manager just does not have this under control whatsoever and can't afford to have to reschedule any more days because of being there for 2+ hours. read more

Ugh! These people saved my life!! I broke my natural nail so far up that I couldn't just trim it. I've been in pain unable to do much. So I ran around downtown in full panic looking for a salon that would help me. Every single one turned me down saying they're booked. I get it, it's 6p I don't have an appointment and they wanna go home but it's one nail with regular polish. I don't even need anything special just glue or that powder thing that makes it hard. Anyways, I took a scooter all the way to dazzle cause I was determined. I tried to be optimistic, coupled with a convenient location for me, decided to make an appointment for a regular manicure at Dazzle. Online reservation form and text confirmation was great! Upon arriving, they acknowledged my appointment and I was seated right away. When I confirmed that I was there for a regular manicure (not dip or gel), that's where the service started to decline. I asked for my nails to be trimmed but was told the almond shape is hard to accommodate with any shorter length. The nail tech decided that filing is best (a day following my appt and one nail already broke, pictured). The buffing and cuticle trim was very quick, and nail polish application even quicker. I noticed there was some cotton / stray strands but the nail tech painted right over it. I made a point to call out a black speck on my thumb to which she responded "I'll have to completely remove the color to fix." I said yes, I want it fixed. Very rushed job and then the tech told me "all done" and left. No drying spray or fan to help with the drying process. I was left sitting in the chair and checked my phone to time 5 minutes before getting up and proceeded to stand at the register to make my payment. Not sure what the typical experience is here for regular manicures but will not be returning due to my recent experience. I am from out of town and decided to come here to get a dip mani and I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received. First off I had gel on my nails and to remove it she had me soak my fingers in a bowl of acetone rather than foil wraps which dried out my nails and cuticles so bad. After the removal she didn't even bother cutting my cuticles or manicuring my fingers - I had to ask her to trim a couple really bad hangnails but the rest was left untouched. How is cuticle maintenance not standard practice here? Second, I came in with long almond nails that took a while to grow out and I asked for a slightly shorter almond shape. Without even asking me what length I wanted the woman cut and filed them down so short to these awful little uneven nubs that are not close to almond shape. As you can see from the photos my cuticles are insanely dry with cuticle skin flaking everywhere, and there's paint all over my nails and fingertips! My nails are anything but dazzling. Usually freshly done nails make me feel so pretty but these make me want to cry. read more

I walked in and asked for a polish change over my hard gel nails. I reiterated saying I had hard gel on but just wanted the color changed. They said ok and asked what color I wanted. I said I wanted a to do a clear coat over my hard gel because I liked the neutral pink color that the hard gel was. She proceeded to take off all the hard gel! She did one nail and I was like ok I guess she's putting a new layer of hard gel on. My nails were a mess. Tips from two manicures ago barely hanging on, uneven shape, some nails had more hard gel left than others so they were all different shades with lines of demarcation. She then pulled out a regular OPI gel bottle and asked if the color was ok. I said no you took off all my hard gel. I want a neutral pink hard gel. She said we don't do hard gel. I was speechless. I ended up having to leave with my nails and absolutely mess to find someone to redo the hard gel she took off. read more

This spa's service was so bad it's really funny when I think back on it. I was clearly on a work video call and holding my phone while my pedicure was drying. I had not asked for a manicure and my friend had been waiting for half an hour next to me for her mani/pedi - her feet were soaking but no one had done anything for her. The obvious thing to do was to work on my friend's nails. Instead, the technician made me switch my phone to the other hand so she could give me the roughest and sloppiest manicure of my life while I was on my call. My nails were so ragged at the end. I had several hangnails. There was still dirt under my nails. When I went to pay, I told the cashier this was the worst manicure of my life and she said nothing. So $18 for a lesson learned! Been going here for about 2 years and always had a good experience, but I had one of the worst manicures of my life today. I was stressed out and almost in tears the whole time. Which besides walking away with a manicure that looked sloppy, the stressful experience defeated the purpose of going to the salon to relax. I asked for a basic rounded shape and looked down after a few minutes and my nails were literally triangles - such a weird, unnatural shape. I did ask to fix the shape and the girl kept filing them down more, making it worse. She seemed upset / frustrated that I was unhappy, but I was genuinely so nice and timid asking. Another girl / manager came over and I showed her the shape of my nails and she tried to salvage it the best she could. They have chipped a ton and broken super easily, not even a week since I got them done. It was busy but I was acknowledged when I first walked in and didn't wait long. One thing I liked was I unsure what color to get and let the tech know what the occasion was he helped me choose and few colors and then match them based on my skin tone through his expertise I could say it made sense. I love love love how clean this place is, especially the fact that it's spaced out to not be crowded like some nail salons can be. Tina took care of me both times and really took her time on foot care / massage even before painting the colors. Even painting them, she made sure that everything was perfect! In my hunt for a great nail salon, I decided to try Dazzle Nails. I got there and took a seat and the owner came over soon after and greeted me. They were very busy and he told me if would be a few minutes. Not a problem, I used the time to pick out a color. A pedicure chair opens soon after and I took my seat. The owner was wonderful, talked me and helped out the staff. He got several of us a drink and was honest with walk-ins. They were so busy, I didn't have a chance to pick a pedicure and didn't get a hand massage with the manicure. But overall, I'm still happy. I'm really sad to post this as I've been to Dazzle many times beforehand and had great experiences, however my last experience was the worse manicure I've ever had so I felt I needed to say something. First of all, I made an appointment for 3 people at 6:00pm, and we showed up at 5:55pm. All 3 of us were sat, but they only started on my nails first and didn't get to one of my friend's pedicures until 6:30pm, and our third friend didn't get her manicure started until 7:00pm. A full HOUR after our appointment time. This let two of us to have to leave early because we had dinner plans and our third friend to Uber home by herself. Second of all, my manicurist was very sloppy. He did not trim my cuticles at all, and even filed the side of my thumb so hard that I started bleeding. When I pulled my hand back and said it hurt, he pulled my hand back into his hand and said "just a moment almost done" and continued to aggressively file my thumb until it started bleeding. When my manicure was finally done (I got tips for my honeymoon), I noticed the tip on the right thumb was glued to the middle of my nail, and there was a HUGE gap between my nail and the tip (see picture and video). I told my manicurist, and he took a look and told me he doesn't see what the problem is, and my thumb is the one with the problem, not the manicure. I was VERY taken aback by the response and said I've gotten tips over 100 times in the last decade and have never had this problem so I don't understand how my thumb is the issue here.. he then refused to fix my thumb and I had to get a manager over to look at my thumb before she confirmed that the tip was glued to the middle of the thumb. What is even worse, is that the manicurist was seemed very mad at me for every bringing something up. And spend the entire time I was getting my nail fixed yelling across the room at the manager who had to fix my nail. Is made me and my friends feel VERY uncomfortable and I am very embarrassed I brought them to Dazzle. I am only giving two stars because I have had good experiences previously at Dazzle, but it is highly dependent on who you get. read more

I moved to Austin almost 2 years ago and tried out a few nail places before Dazzle became my spot! I usually get my nails done every 3-4 weeks and my nails last forever. They don't crack, they only grow out. I am usually fairly picky about how they shape dip around my cuticle because as they grow out, my hair gets caught on the edges (if you know what I'm talking about then you know...) The woman who does my nails at Dassle does them perfectly and I have never had an issue with that! Dazzle has been great to work with. They do take walk-ins, but they also honor appointment times. I usually just text them to see when they're available, which makes scheduling so easy! Dazzle has an incredible color selection for any kind of polish. It seems like they can accommodate pretty much any kind of request. They even hosted my friends and me when we all came to get our nails done before my wedding. The manager made sure he had enough employees there to do all the girls nails at the same time and even brought in some snacks for us! We had the BEST time. Over 4 times she's left with bloody fingers .. and the women who is the husbands wife told her to get out/ escorted her out. The man who did her nails, Henry was coughing all over her and wasn't trying to cover his mouth. He would get mad at her when she would wince or say that hurt. In the end they all were speaking in their native language and she had no idea what was going on and was super uncomfortable and apologetic. I usually book an appointment or go during off peak hours. The shop is always clean and they use sterile equipment. I always get a pedicure here and the polish lasts a long time. I love the foot scrub as well. Occasionally I get a shellac manicure or regular manicure. I like the way they do their shellac manicures. They use Opi and have other brands as well.
