I was referred to this salon by a friend and I am glad she referred us. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, it was about 5P and were able to be seen without an appointment. I just got the gel pedicure, because I work on my feet a lot at my part time job and just needed to be pampered. My daughter got her nails dipped again but this time she came with a photo. I don't remember the gentleman's name who assisted her but he took his time and she loved it. He even put a rhinestone on and it has been a week and it is still going strong. I think I may have found my new nail salon and I will definitely be back. When I was paying for our service I believe the manager assisted me and we laughed about these kids going back to school. Omg Life savers ... amazing work dedication and staff ... we had been here on several occasions and due to a bridal outing ended up at another place... the bride to be was not happy with her manicure at the other salon and despite trying to resolve it ... it just wasn't happening. And they're always kind whenever I walk through the door. Even when I'm just sitting in the chairs, I see them being so kind of people walking in trying to service people immediately. In the past, any shop will do, but Stephanie and her staff are kind and consistent and I do my best to go there when I can. The place is always clean and they provide water and soda for free. This review is not about the look or quality of the nails. Sadly, I ended up not being able to get my mani/pedi. I had never been here before, I stood at the counter for 5 minutes but was not approached or helped. I didn't know where the color options or anything else were so I just sat down. I had an appointment scheduled for 6:15, but I was not sat in my chair until 6:40. A while after being sat, I finally had my first interaction with an employee, I was told it won't be much longer by her. By 7:00 my pedicure water had started getting cold, so I walked out and left. I understand appointments run late, and I can understand waiting 20 minutes, but not approaching 1 hour. As I cannot comment on the quality of their nail-work, I can comment on the poor quality of service and care for their customers. read more

Recently I had them done here by someone new and it didn't turn out the best, so I came back the next day and they fixed them for free and looked perfect! What a treat! My friend and I went for pedis and it was such a relaxing hour. We called a few hours ahead and were sat immediately, as well as offered a drink. We opted for the hot stone pedi option (a step above a deluxe pedi) and it was $55 for 55 minutes. It starts with all the regular mail maintenance, then a scented scrub, lotion, hot towel wrap, paraffin wax, stone massage, and voilà! I also got gel polish which was $20 but totally worth it if you like long lasting polish on your nails. This is my new favorite place in South Austin to treat myself! read more

My second time coming here and I wanted the gel removed from both my hands and toes and just given regular polish. I asked for a basic mani/pedi. At the end they tried charging me over $100 for gel, even though I had repeatedly told them I just wanted regular polish. They tried to act like the guy didn't know what I wanted in the beginning, even though he had repeatedly asked me if I wanted powder or gel. I said no multiple times throughout the mani/pedi. If you come here ask them upfront what they will be charging you. It's not enough to just point at what's in the book because they will overcharge you at the end even if you just ask for basic mani/pedi. read more

I unfortunately am going to have to say I don't recommend getting your acrylics removed here and I'm iffy about their actual nails. The original set that was done here had a huge gap between the thumb nail and acrylic, and not near the cuticle like when they're popping off, but near the tip of my natural nail. But the real reason I'm writing this review is because of the man who removed my acrylics. Normally you would leave nails soaking in a bowl of acetone for 15 minute intervals as far as I know. But this man left my nails in there for 30-40 minutes straight! He put my nails in the baggy of acetone which sat in a bowl, covered my hands with a towel, and then proceeded to help another customer with a whole pedicure!! I waited the entire time to remove my hands and they were burning. There was even a point where another customer vouched for me and asked if I could take my nails out. But her nail tech acted like she didn't hear and finally they talked amongst themselves and the man said to leave them in and kept on with the pedicure. I get that they were busy, but nobody should have to leave their hands in acetone for 30-40 minutes. It may not look that bad here, but when I first pulled out my hands I could barely move them they were so dried out and shriveled. He also repeatedly filed over my actual fingers (not just one) and actually took off a layer of skin with the nail drill. It was actually the most painful nail experience I've had. He didn't even notice until I said ow multiple times. All in all, I think it just depends on the person you get service from and since acrylic removal is cheap and I wasn't able to get any other service since I just lost my job, I feel like they automatically keep pressuring you to get a service (like a pedicure) and if you don't they disregard and neglect you. I've also gotten my acrylics removed here another time when I also couldn't afford a new set and told them so and they pressured me that time as well multiple times. read more

Gorgeous...I think not! Went for an eyebrow wax and got butchered! My eyebrows look awful!!! They're so uneven!! Not only do they look terrible but the older woman, Tina I think, was so rough with me. Lady- eyes are sensitive so you should be too! She jerked my face multiple times and every time she wiped my brow she put pressure on my closed eye. She made no attempt to be gentle. At one point I pulled away from her- I think she finally got the point. When I looked in the mirror i was like WTF?? These things are uneven. She seriously tried to pull some B/S about my damn eyes! You gotta be kidding me lady! Wonder if she even has a license to be waxing! Ugh- don't go here for any waxing that people will see. I'm embarrassed at how they look! Jasmine and her husband are the owners of this salon and they genuinely CARE. My experience with Jasmine doing my nails has been phenomenal. I live in Kyle and there are probably a dozen salons between my house and this place but I drive past all of them to come here because it's worth it. Not only does Jasmine take great care and provide a service that lasts, she is a really cool person and I always enjoy chatting with her. I would say, if you have something you're not happy with, just let her know. She can't do everyone's nails, but I know they put their heart and souls in the business and will absolutely make it right if one of their employees doesn't live up to their standards. A gentleman named Luan did my pedicure. He took his time, was very detail oriented and through. I felt calm, relaxed and well taken care of. It was evident he took pride in his work and wasn't trying to hurriedly finish. This is the best pedicure I have received in recent memory (probably the past 5 years)! Jasmine always does an amazing job with my nails and they LAST!! She's so friendly, sweet, welcoming and she remembers her clients and gets to know them too. I live in Corpus Christi now but I make a point to get my nails done here every time I'm in town, about every 6 weeks. This salon is super clean and a very relaxing space. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work and the salon itself, plus they make sure you're absolutely satisfied before you leave. Lyn did my nails today. I got the quickest 10 minute manicure I've ever had. Including file, soak, massage and nippers. I asked her if she was in a rush. She said no. I don't get them done too often so when I do its a treat. The lady was very rude. I asked her to paint all the way to cuticle, she said don't worry about it just put your fingers in front on the fan. She also added thinner to the color cause I guess it was too thick. It should be thrown away at that point. Ok. ...after she finished painting my nails I went and sat under UV light for 15 minutes to dry. When. I left I sat in my car and let them dry at least another 10 minutes in front of vent. When I got out of my car 30 minutes later to run errands, the second I do normal daily tasks it ends up looking like this. Thanks for making my supposed to be relaxing day crappy. read more
