Really incredible space, massive honestly. Walk-ins accepted, they have so many chairs and complimentary drinks, it was lovely. Only thing I regret is choosing the spa pedicure. I'm sure it would have been a great service even just getting the basic done but by the time she was putting cucumbers overtop the mud mask on my legs I knew I had overspent, lol. They have a timer for massage and that's the thing, I wish I could have spent less on fake extras and just gotten my feet rubbed. read more

I popped in for a pedicure. Had high hopes for this place but sadly got Kelly. Worst pedicure ever. Basically because she did little more than slap some cream on my feet & polish my nails. I had to ask her to cut my nails - she barely cut them & they were overdue for a trim. She actually tapped each toe with the cuticle pusher like they would magically address my overgrown cuticles. I asked her to please address my cuticles. She looked very annoyed & lightly pushed them back. I walked out, $65 poorer, with a glorified polish change. I came home & tried to trim my nails & cuticle myself. And now, one week later, my feet look like they haven't had a pedicure in 6 weeks. I'm guessing there are good techs there based on the number of people. I wish I knew one of them! But absolutely do not waste your time & money on a service with Kelly. read more

Rating this nail salon two stars because every other experience has been amazing except this time. Unfortunately I will be going to a salon close to where I live instead of this one. I have been coming to this nail salon for the past 6 months and the service has always been exceptional. This time was not exceptional. I came in for a quick fill because I was in the area and wanted a fill to hold me off until I got a new set for the holidays. I asked for a fill and change of color. The older balding male technician asked if I wanted a new set and I said I wanted a quick fill because I was strapped for time and wanted to hold off until a couple weeks. He asked how long it had been since I had a new fill and I said I wasn't sure. He then asked what color and I said French white tip square shape. He said my nails were too short for square shape and i said it was okay that he could keep the same shape . He got upset I guess because I didn't want to get a new set and he started pulling my hands aggressively and drilling super hard and quick. He snapped at me and told me to relax my hands and I said I couldn't because it was burning really bad. He cut multiple cuticles, which started bleeding. I almost asked him to stop and just pay for what he had already done but I didn't have any other time to get them done so I just endured the pain. He was very rude and then when it came time to pay he was staring at the tip part of the receipt to see how much I would tip. I only tipped 10% because the service was terrible. The fill was $65 plus the 10% tip which was not worth what I went through. I will never come back to this salon. read more

Let me tell you Amor nails has had a whole remodel done and the space is so elegant now, they even serve drinks (cocktails, basic white and red wine and soft drinks complimentary with service. I was shopping for plants at Lowe's and decided to stop in today for an eye brow wax and full set. My nails came out really pretty and elegant. T did my nails this time and Nha did my eyebrows--they were amazing! Along with glamorous upgrade comes upgraded prices. My full set was $62 for short coffin nails. My wax was $15. I can see why the upgrade was necessary to compete with the other up space nail salons. I will be coming back with a friend to check out the space and chill. One thing you have to be cautious about is that there are some nail techs here that are not as skilled. There's a guy here that messed up my nails terribly before so when I go back I only want to go to Mindy or now T. They're great if you want to go to a good nail tech! read more

i requested acrylic nails and toes. my nail tech that day, Nathan, was very sweet and I enjoyed talking to him. I did notice he seemed a bit rushed, though. While he applied my acrylic, I felt a burning sensation on my nail beds after he'd finished and moved on to the next nail (I never spoke up about it so I can't knock him for it). When I stated a nail looked crooked he was willing to fix it but I declined the offer as my finger was js crooked LMAO. He did my frenchies perfectly. The gems on my ring finger however were not up to par for me. Had he not coated them with gel I think they would have looked a lot nicer and SHINIER but they're completely coated in gel and one on the right ring finger fell off but cured in place so it's sticking out. :( The lady who did my toes did a nice job shaping and doing my frenchies but she did not file the excess acrylic underneath my toenail so they look chunky ( I didn't notice til I showered that night). Overall I give it a 3/5. Good quality, just pay attention to the process and speak up before it's too late. Very friendly vibes, love the atmosphere there. read more

Amor gets 3.5 stars on Yelp, but 4.7 on Google. A friend (with gorgeous acrylic nails) referred me here, so I decided to give it a try despite the lackluster Yelp reviews. I'm so glad I did! Sonny did my nails, and he was polite, professional, fast, a pleasant conversationalist, AND his work was flawless. I didn't witness any shouting or rudeness by anyone in this establishment, and it was SUPER busy. I used to get acrylics all the time in CA, but this was my first time having them done in Austin since moving 2 years ago. Sonny's is among the nicest work I've seen! I didn't have a super specific idea of what I wanted, only that it be light purple with black accents. Sonny suggested the marbling with a little glitter. I love it! I walked in on Friday morning to get my nails done for NYE. (They actually prefer walk-ins which is super surprising, but so nice!) The place is huge, with ample parking, and tons of color selections! I was immediately greeted at the door with a smile and was asked what service I needed. I provided them a Pinterest photo for inspiration and my nail tech Lily went straight to work. Lily was thorough and so kind when doing my nails. She made sure to test out the swatches I picked out on her hand to show me before I agreed and went through so many glitter colors to make sure I was super satisfied. Even after she finished my nails she went through and filed them again just to make sure they maintained their original shape. She completely blew my mind!!! I am in love with my nails and have already recommended two of my friends to go here. This is now my new official go-to spot! No complaints! read more

My nails look like I did them myself, I don't know why I paid or even tipped for what I got. I am new to Austin and was looking for my new nail spot, this place was near me with a 4.6 rating. I went, I advised I wanted short white coffin nails. As they were putting on the tips, they glued them down crooked AF. I let the nail tech know, he said he would fix it but didn't. He kept filing down my nails then another nail tech came and she started filing my nails and asking me which one was crooked. I showed her 5 nails out of 10 that were crooked. She also said she would fix them and the problem is my hands/ crooked fingers. I told her I have my nails done quite a bit and this I not a problem other nail techs have. She literally told me to go back to my other nail tech. I was was appalled at her response to a paying customer. I had to inform her my nail tech is in Dallas, TX. When it came to the paint, I brought in the white polish I had just bought (Revlon) to do my toes, I wanted a matching white on my nails. As she started to paint my nails, i noticed the color wasn't coming on evenly and was faded and I asked her if they have a better white polish. She said they did, but didn't stop or try to change the polish she was using, I let her finish me and let me go because I had an appointment. To dry my nails she used a laminated sheet of paper that picked up the dust from the filing and got that all all over my nails. overall, the people were nice but they are lying if they say they do nails. It looks like I did these myself, but again I still paid and tipped and was told by the tech to go back to my nail tech. Thank you for the disappointment Amor Nails. read more

I called ahead last minute and was told to come now. I arrived about 15 minutes after and was greeted with a warm welcome. I was taken to a chair immediately. First impression was it is crowded and busy, don't expect it to be quiet. I believe Lynn did my nails, not sure who did my pedicure but both were great! I had recently had a bad experience at another nail salon in Austin and Amor Nails def made up for it. I saw many peoples work while I sat there and it was all beautiful. My concerns were heard through. I asked to have my nails soaked rather than filed to remove the gel and she obliged without a problem. The removal process was painful. I got tips on my short nails and SNS. I have always gotten SNS applied in a dip your nail fashion but this time was different. She used a different application process which made my nails shiny and thin which I love. I will def return when I'm back in Texas. Everyone was nice and friendly and some even speak Spanish. Prices were reasonable. Def recommend. I had a good experience. read more

Went in for a refill and ended it up with ridiculous bill. I got short white French refill the charge was $65, I recall when it was $50, the guy there said it was based on the design, and length. I pointed out all I got was short white and pink French, they didn't care and honestly be careful, I feel like they charging what ever they want. I will not be returning and I really hope they set prices instead of just saying $45 and up, the up means the tech can charge what they want. read more

They were really nice until the lady doing my toes overheard me tell my fiance to make sure he doesn't over tip. Maybe she thought I said "don't tip?" But after that she immediately started to be very rude. She stopped where she was on my toes, left the dust on my feet and pulled the towel from under my feet before I was ready to get up. She also didn't offer sandals knowing I arrived in running shoes. My partner of course tipped but he has a bad habit of tipping $40+ dollars on things like nails because he's a man who never had to pay for nails before. So we practice now on tipping generously but not overdoing it. I just feel like that was weird. Then we get to paying and she keeps putting everything we hand her in front of us instead of handing it back to our hand like we politely were doing. If you know, you know. Just very rude and snooty. Other than that, the owner(man who walked around and greeted us) and the gentleman who did my manicure did an amazing job and were very transparent about services/pricing. Wouldn't necessarily recommend this place when there are other nicer places nearby. read more

I been going for awhile service was great my regular girl was amazing she is no longer there. Tonight I went got a basic pedicure they don't put a base coat which is not right. This is the first time I notice it and was wondering why my nails were looking bad white chalk not fungus not any thing. I have not had polish on since November to help my nails and they looked more healthy. The girl I had today polish was thick and could see dents unevenness on big toe cuticle one toe nail shape square and the other one round it's Bye Bye to this place that I once really like and recommend NOT NO MORE !!! read more
